let’s take a look at some of the
highlights from how this day played out
we were waiting for someone to make a
move and we wondered if Peter Mal he
might be one of those guys as he was
nine under through 10 a shot off the
lead until he hit this at
11 yeah he made the birdie at the 10th
hole and hit that one there so what a
great shot he gets the 10 under tied for
the lead with McKenzie use how about
Cameron young is this the week he could
get it done is second to
12 that’s what we were all asking
ourselves I was sitting with my dad
watching it and I said dad this kid is
going to win this is his week he’s on a
roll right now young hanging around how
about this birdie puton reaction from
malady at the 12 oh I’ve never hit it
yeah you did Pete went in the
middle he gets to 11 under a one shot
lead over Cameron young here’s Cameron
at 14 what a touch with his
third yeah he had to really locked that
up that came out nicely that’s such a
good shot such a fast jip shot great
Touch of uh around the greens there
makes birie 11 under tied at the top
malady his second at 16 after a really
solid
Drive yeah he’s he F I’m nervous on this
shot he just pull hooks it left he hates
it and he should it hits the green
releases back into a nasty nasty
lie but he would get some good fortune
Jim rues work in your favor sometimes
and this is one of those advantages now
he’s able to putt it as opposed to
chipping it out of the deep road it’s
probably the break that won in the golf
tournament I know he hit great shots
there coming down the line but man what
a huge break two put for par stays at 11
under tide with Cameron young at the top
then malady what a t- shot at the par 31
17th yeah they were mentioning how
fidget he was up to that point but this
shot right here clutch knowing where he
stood beautiful shot here at the par
three he would convert birdie goes 12
under a one shot lead Cameron young well
we’re going to show you the putt right
let’s not quite give it to him there
it’s official 1200 he’s got a one shot
lead and he’s inching closer but cam
young still in the mix he’d love to have
this one
back yeah this is the toughest Fairway
to hit all week long and just kind of
hits a pull hook over towards the trees
and the fans just a a big mistake off
the te gets over there into the pine
straw behind the trees but maybe aak
he’s out of the pine straw yeah you
never know what it’s going to do out
here burko lofs it up there it probably
was a break we’ve seen guys not so
fortunate and he gets it on the green
he’s got it at about 30 ft so he’s a
pretty good play from where he was yeah
he’s got an outside look malady was
making his way to 18 so can Cameron
young do something special here at the
last oh it’s such a slow putt back at 13
to par three he left it short from about
25 ft but that’s a good 8 n ft short he
with three putt for bogy in a 10 a
little bit of trouble off to te for
malady but if there were questions he
answered them right here absolutely it’s
always a tough bunker shot to that
elevated green and he It’s a Wonderful
shot and now he knows hey I’m on the
green I’m in control finally in
control the celebration Begins for the
36-year-old playing in his eighth valpar
Championship had missed the cut in six
of the previous seven maybe wouldn’t
have thought it was his week but Peter
malady had other ideas six 7 on this
Championship Sunday four under par in
the final round good enough to pick up
his second career win and how about that
back nine 314 under coming home awfully
impressive by Peter who after the win

Dixon nine years after you first won on
the PGA tour Peter Mady you’re now a
two-time winner on the PGA tour what did
you draw on coming down the stretch to
become a winner out of this Bunch leader
board I had no idea I just I told myself
I was going to do my best on every shot
and and that was what I did and I was so
nervous coming down the stretch a lot of
those shots you kind of see it and the
you know the approaching a 16 was
terrible but I was just
like just you can’t describe it so
cool so cool to share it with
like it’s just amazing it’s just
amazing
I mentioned that it’s been 9 years can
you describe what that weight has been
like to get this second win and get to
celebrate with Hatcher Dash and Alicia I
mean you wonder if you’re ever going to
do it again you know cuz it’s hard and
you know in the nine years since my last
win it’s gotten a lot harder too like if
you look like the level of talent out
here guys coming out when they’re you
know 20 years old and they’re ready to
play on this stage and they’re so good
it’s just I mean you
just you just wonder like and so to have
to have this moment oh just it just
feels so amazing I mean
obviously you my family Believes In Me
um I’ve got the best caddy he’s been
loyal to me for a long time through a
lot of like down times
too
um I’m just so thankful I’m just so
thankful
for my wife she makes this all possible
cuz life is hard like it’s obviously
glamorous at times like this and this is
my dream job and it’s absolutely amazing
but life is really really hard too when
you’re trying to figure out how to live
this lifestyle and have two kids and be
everything that you want to be it’s
really hard and my wife has been an
absolute Rock through all of it she’s
amazing and I got my mom here my
family’s amazing little two little boys
like it’s
just this just feels so good
it feels so good well congratulations

two-time winner on the PGA tour thank
