that’s how you start right there
shot some of the highlights Morgan mar
cogin Just rolling it I mean just
playing great that got up a great start
Birdie on the 10th she’d make that to
get it the one under also a major champ
jungin Lee 6 started at 10 this the
Approach at 11 she loves major
championship gol courses and conditions
this morning Terry are absolutely
perfect for scoring get a little humid
out there but very little wind Breeze
May pick up a little bit momentum going
all the way into you know early June
with the US Women’s Open All Right Nelly
looking for momentum after the bogey at
10 and exactly what you’d
[Applause]
expect can’t beat that much needed week
off last week Lauren cogin with the lead
this at 11 some of the highlights from
what was a great
day cut in there there you
go it’s going to feel just like the
birdie at one 32 in the field starting
on the back nine how about the front
nine St Maya Stark this is the T3 the
par three hold on location on the top
right today want to land it right into
the UPS slope just like that get it to
two under she’d add another one let’s go
let’s keep doing it Mana nordquist has
been a part of a lot of them this is her
third at the
fourth and also been a stick in sticker
in a USA’s team’s side little juice on
that one walking it back down the slope
and that for the first Birdie the
day this hold today cut 25 on four from
the right playing a little bump and
run
uh-oh you know once you’re healthy you
can start working on your game and
really fine-tuning things and yeah
health is health is the utmost come on
NASA there we go there it is NASA third
times a charm had one right one left
NASA able to find it and Karen I don’t
think that’s really the case I think
that they’ve done a good job softening
it just enough after going through such
a dramatic renovation completely agree
wow what a shot and that stayed right
there watching Nelly getting ready to
hit her second at the
14th another abbreviated follow through
there looks like she’s trying to keep it
under the wind as it’s into the
wind I would call this position a coming
into this tough pin left hand side of
that green
sounded good
T lots of spin there we go Monami Catu
the 25-year-old from Japan looking to
get it to three under par two so started
on the back nine excellent start and
it’s great to see ataya tikon back in
the field she has not played this year
because of injury so nice to see her
making a return to the LPGA T and this
one right online wonderful
t-shot yeah we’ve seen the bounce this
morning fellas on the greens I this is
this afternoon this is this is holdon
type of Championship golf for these
players a song plays her
fourth Jarina how do you control this
she just got called up from the bullpen
obviously she was warmed up ready to go
laid entry into this field at the
Olympics was it were they in the
athletes Village as well or were they
offsite um actually in 2016 um myself
Lexi and Stacy stayed in a condo um near
the golf course and then actually our
caddy stayed in Olympic
Village
okay it’s almost set up with her stance
as if she was hitting a chip different
than her other putting stance look at
this oh it
worked yeah that was definitely
different technique with her posture
than what we see when she typically
putts leveled up this year with you know
just proximity to the hole and and uh we
had Justin Ray on the
podcast this week and he was he was
raving about just the improvements made
with her wedge play and 66 excuse me
today for cogin to take the lead this
afternoon number one in the world and on
fire her play this year four straight
wins for Nelly
Corda
near that close at 17 just cuz you know
I’m a bit nosy and I like to see how
everybody’s playing
but tricky one here for the Amer Megan
scel at the 17th but she’s handled that
very well oh
yes US Women’s am champ from last year
22 years of age Rose needs to get it
going yep
boom there we
go here at the eighth the third from Mya
start oh hello one way to stop it
quickly Eagle try moment ago for Jenny
Shin here at the par
five not a lot of break in this putt
perfect place to putt
F just like that to two under chasing
the lead at four four short time to go
bong here for her third par five
13th go get something going there first
wedge H loation today just on the top of
a little Ridge going to land it right on
top with this
wedge yep going to stay right there so a
chance for birdie here let go to 18
power five in the third for Lauren cogin
31-year-old out of Virginia looking for
a first win on the
LPGA oh
yeah W close
[Applause]
[Applause]
pretty good effort
there hit a few more quality shots but
just so on the Edge at the minute for
her this one broken big
right oh good putt great
putt perfect
putt first one of the day much needed
moment ago the fifth at the par 518th
for Jungle Le six or third was in the
penalty
area ah no problem just a par on the
[Applause]
card second at
10 coming in with the hybrid accessible
hole location today on this right
side Beauty
Marina Alex this is a tricky one here
got to use that side
slope it’s almost one of those putts the
higher you putt it Tom the more it’s
going to break looks like she judged it
nicely oh how good is that that it’s
outrageous and she knows it really good
stuff there back to back birdies to
begin the second nine Jason her caddy
and then she gets right to work it’s
just so efficient overall
go about a foot away from being really
good but now that’s going to be really
fast wedes wi awward stand man a ton of
green to work
with
coglin a little bit of work left to stay
tied for the lead
very
soft I didn’t think he keep that ball
[Applause]
short yeah good up and down keeps her
tied for the
lead coglin’s been great and this for
Eagle at the fourth another one of those
par fives you want to be able to take
advantage of four and eight here on this
front nine really are there for the
taking
oh what pace I mean what a putt that
was tried to sell it
can she stop it she
can now Marina
Alex yeah easy birdie there for Marina
so this group going along
well number one in the world Nelly Corda
for that Leona Maguire for birdie here
at
13 boom there it
is Jennifer song hung up at the rough
over the green here
great
contact too good A
contact’s little
coglin d off the
tea just going
to actually make its way onto that top
shelf where they’ cut the flag that was
a really good shot there for me that’s
up
that’s barking at that one and it
listens look at this shot up into the
distance
beautiful asked for it to go now only to
go when it got on the green it kept on
going keeping it just left of this whole
location yeah it’s going to give her a
good look at
birdie slopes the opposite direction so
I got it inside the hole
yeah well read this is really good go
from
long yep there it is couple of wins in
her career and right there in the mix
here on day
one talked to Paige about one of the
other groups earlier today kind of being
flat and not having a lot of energy this
group really seems to be feeding off of
each other other out there today yeah I
mean it’s it’s been great to have these
kind of looks on birdie and actually
they’re playing the other playing
partner in the group did make
birdie it’s only a sixth start of the
Season Minami cats
suit put again wow wow
awesome I say you want to minimize the
damage and you know you don’t last thing
you want to do is leave it back in the
bunker and and just give yourself a a
putt at
par spent some time talking to Marina
this season and not like she’s been
playing well just the
scoring hasn’t
[Music]
followed yeah that was well controlled
10th time playing in the Chevron
championship for get the better let’s go
to six big season last year Allison
corpo this on the way she’s at even par
so far
you feel like her game was built for big
moments and her personality cool as a
cucumber she’s played perfect golf and
it’s been this like magical seven or 5
under par you know it’s just she’s just
kind of punked along gave her put
herself in position and and uh at the
end of the week she’s standing there
collecting the trophy yeah wedge into
the
screen haven’t seen any of the balls
stop where they land so allow for two
three yards
release that’s about as much Speen as
I’ve seen
today green drying out for sure this
afternoon mention Gabby Ruffles this her
second at the
sixth it didn’t look like she had a very
good angle there but what a result
yeah really good play there really
straightforward
shot they can make an effort not to look
at a leaderboard yep and just uphill
from where she is actually more
difficult than Cogan’s
chip no problem
though so the 15th this is TI
she one in from long range
yes since when she was away from the
tour rehabbing the injury she realized
how much she missed being out
here a lot of
sand really good shot yes really good
just moment to go at the seventh m champ
from last year roing
y i play with roning earlier this week
Tom I did and uh she hit shots like that
to help your group she she hit a few
shots like that this going to carry the
first five or six ft on the false front
and then it can roll
out just like that beautiful shot it’s a
pretty benign place to chip from there
the lesser of two
evils all right just a slow C back up
the
hill I mean she did perform here last
year while we were here for this
Championship as well and doesn’t she hit
does she make a go swing in the I don’t
want to ruin it for anybody who’s going
to go and see it but doesn’t she make a
go swing grew up on Bermuda grass as she
loves the Bermuda grass here this
week why wouldn’t you chip when you chip
like that uh yeah exactly just a tap in
there Jonathan Wan Sayan 20-year-old
from Thailand just turned 20 this week
this for
birdie yeah winner in Portland Monday
qualifier lengthy putt here to get a to
two
under to an eight or
second and again downwind she’s got a
lot closer to the green than Lauren had
just has to cover the bunker
yeah did that easily very good look at
an eagle try
now she has 195 6
[Music]
iron and yet another
one right there to the
edge on this bunker shot
yeah that just came out a lot hotter
than she was
expecting still
rolling exemptions this week along with
Angela
Stanford gosh I feel like we’ve talked
about so many players with back injuries
loette being
one out for the better part of a season
advantage to be this far down and as
angle as Morgan pointed out a great
angle
she can nearly take dead aim here Paige
yeah but she’s missed that
contact get away with it
yeah Caroline englas at the ninth final
[Music]
hole that’s going to work out rather
well indeed wonderful shot and it should
be a birdie to finish the day for carine
that just landed you know a couple yards
too far in the green and goes over into
a really hard spot over the back of the
green super sloppy today is song
chipping for birdie just do it one
time might be a little bit of
help yeah good go she didn’t give the
full Club 12 there but uh a 175 yeah
sorry
175 just kind of on that line left of
the bunker towards the middle yeah very
nice flag really tucked towards the back
of the
gr just carried it to the back side of
that bridge and it takes a forward hop
that’s why it’s been so tough to get it
close to this whole location today even
with wedges in their hand at 18 Isabella
Fiero the 23-year-old from Mexico plus
one trying to finish up at even
par and does from long range sixth event
of the Season out here on the LPGA Tour
first
year wondering if you’re going to play
and not only does she get into the field
gets
into a feature group with a lot of
attention on her playing alongside Nelly
oh no that’s not how you finish that’s
that was a putt to break 80

I think at the moment Nellies Driver is probably the best I have ever seen in womens golf. Amazing time right now with Nellie and Scheffler so obviously No. 1s. Nellies left a few out there today too. Also watching Ruffels who is getting better and better each month. Goog round today from Brooke as usual in the majors, shame about the bogie on the par 5 18th. Cant see the 3 at the top staying there for long.
If only the Men's PGA would upload longer highlights like this.
Why are these so badly out of sequence?
I think the LPGA YouTube highlights person is the worst editor in all of golf. It has consistently been bad. WTF!!!
please change the person that is editing this please. we are all not pleased with the quality
There's a lot of talent out there.
It looks like the cameraman used the phone instead of the camera lol
Nice to see nelly on 3 quarters of the highlights, would of been nice to see the rest of the field!!
Minjee Lee was playing with Nelly Korda yet you didn't show one shot of hers….WHY ?? She was not playing badly as did Song who finished on +9 yet you was showing her constantly who also played with Korda,,, WHAT IS GOING ON??
4:02 did anybody else see that!? Looks crazy until you go slowmo. 😆
Megan Schofill…War Damn Eagle!!!
Go Nelly Go!
Is the person who cobbled together these highlights Jennifer Song's husband, or something?
Very strange 'highlights' package. How many average shots do we need to see?
Why so much focus on Jennifer Song at +7? Nothing of Lexi on about the same score. 🤷♀️
The quality on these videos are very disrespectful towards the women golfers, some serious talent in ladies golf they could of had the decency to record their round with some decent equipment, nelly korda has the best swing In golf imo
I wonder what's the matter with my two favourite players … Ingee Chun and Minjee Lee? Just not at their usual best. Luckily Lydia Ko seems to be getting better again.
Usually LPGA highlights are great, even the commentary is average, what’s happening 😳
Why so much coverage of Jenifer song? She was +8🤷🏻♂️ not many highlights there! Yet not one shot from Ko?
The bad order of the replays continues but nothing gets done!! One replay most of the players have final scores and the next replay none have finished-very frustrating and confusing!!!
I predict Nelly will take her lead by third round again😅
0:39, why am I hearing Tron Carter from NLU? Whats up with the sound and video quality?
