welcome to a DFS strategy video for the
2024 RBC Heritage my name is Eric and
I’m here with sweetp DFS to go over all
the things you’re going to need to know
on how to hit the optimal lineup this
week we’ll be going over the course
we’ll be going over the pass optimal and
gpp winning lineups we’ll be covering
the bucket system the Marque te times as
well as the 7K combo buckets I’m sorry I
was a little late I was updating the 7K
combo buckets before getting on kind of
also lost track of time a little bit so
my
bad get some more light on me all
right before we get into any of those
things let’s talk about some giveaway
reminders if you didn’t already know I
like to do weekly as well as monthly

it when I first built it I figured uh I
was putting everything together and then
realize afterwards maybe speed matters
and then as I looked into it there were
a few things that I was doing wrong uh
that was not helping speed it up so
hopefully we have that all figured out

Optimizer weekly and monthly giveaways
yeah let’s go ahead let’s jump into this
thing let’s talk about the golf course
in tournament
information uh when we start with this I
always forget I’m here tournament fact
sheets if you’re unfamiliar with these
fact sheets I think they’re the best
place to start with I’m not even to
spend a lot of time here I just want to
remind you to go to this page check it
out the most important piece to me is
the turf
grass I think uh one of the big ones
Ruff was cut down from last year this a
treel line golf course I don’t even know
if the rough is going to matter all that
much but all your data points for
researching you can find here so
whatever website you use for researching
go to the gcsaa.org look at all this
information see what matters to you it
doesn’t Pete Dy to me is one of the
biggest pieces uh outside of Turk
Rass Pete Dy creates golf courses
that requires a little bit of knowledge
in order to play not not so much like
you absolutely need it but it’s
definitely a positive if you’ve played
Pete die golf courses before it’s it’s
weird if you haven’t yet played a Pete
die Golf Course um let me tell you what
I’ve played a couple of them and
it just I wouldn’t say it’s
uncomfortable off the tea but it’s just
weird you know it doesn’t make any sense
uh I do think that there is
some put it this way if you’re doing a
model put two to five points towards
Speed Die architect out of 100 put two
to five I think that’s that’s all you
need to do uh and then that should give
you a little bit of a bonus a little bit
of a boost to the golfers that are good
on P die golf courses if you didn’t
already know my cheat sheet only has I
should should update this uh always
forget to update the cheat sheet I I
update mine but this is all Pete die
stats and the Bermuda obviously we don’t
have any Bermuda so we’re going to go
ahead and say Bermuda is
na uh if you didn’t already know like I
said go to the fact sheets look it says
poet trivialis overseed just like some
of the other Florida courses that we
were just
on if you have the opportunity to
research poet trivialis do so or the
overseed I don’t treat this as POA I
don’t think it’s going to act anything
like typical POA like your West Coast
POA I just it’s not that big of a deal
to me so
um yeah I would say this if you can use
grass stats make sure you have the
overseed component that goes with it
don’t use POA don’t use
Bermuda I would say I guess if anything
you can do a mix of them that’s fine I
guess I don’t really hate that but the
same
time if you have rye grass or even I I I
shudder to say bent grass you could
almost use bent grass as your your grass
type just for greens because that’s kind
of what the greens are going to roll
like so keep that in
mind I don’t really have anything else
to say about the tournament back sheets
about the uh the statistics or the data
points that you need to look at I think
maybe there’s one piece one more piece
that I want to talk about and it’s just
the golf course like mapping it is very
treelined and there are shot shapes that
are a bit more rewarding than others but
it’s not as it’s not as they’re not as
many as you think uh a lot of times it’s
just going to be positional golf finding
the wide end of the Fairway of a dog leg
and you can hit any shot and it most
likely you’re going to Club down so I
really don’t have a shot shape that
matters more so than another if you were
more interested in finding a golfer that
had a a specific shot shape you can
check the cheat sheet I do have shot
shapes that I’ve recorded that I’ve seen
uh these golfers hit and this is more
time after time again their shot shapes
some of these golfers like to shape them
both directions some of them favor a
draw some of them favor a fade the
reason that it matters to me is when put
under the pressure I don’t think these
golfers really can hit the the opposing
shot
shape um I always like to mention Tommy
Fleetwood at like what the
2021 2022 Honda he needed to hit a cut
into a pin that was tucked around water
and uh poor chap could not do it because
he doesn’t hit Fades all that well so if
it matters to you you do have shot
shapes here I I don’t really think it
matters this week um but
yeah other things I like to talk about
with the golf course or at least the
tournament information strength of field
it’s pretty strong like Josh just said
in the chat elevated event this week so
7 8 is your strength of field this is
using the old strength of field points I
think they’re better than the new ones
uh it’s easier to find kind of like a
disparity between your high-end strength
of fields versus your low-end strength
of fields and just to show you what this
looks like from year to year it’s 708
this week last week was actually 7 or
not last week last year was 707 that’s
nuts year before that was 456 do I have
one for 2021 I do not
um so hey I guess I anticipate this
being like a lower strength of field
event we’re right back up there but we
have a limited field there’s there’s no
cut to this event I stuttered because I
couldn’t remember but the player hosted
Signature Events do have Cuts this is
not one of those so it does not have a
cut so we have 69 golfers in the field
um and again no cut so finding golfers
that are volatile probably more
beneficial than not birdies and bogeys
are better than straight pars so keep
that in mind when it comes to building
your lineups again that’s another data
point you could use if you have the uh
capability of researching that yeah
that’s all I have there really isn’t
much to talk about when it comes to the
golf course and tournament information
so let’s go ahead and get into the next
segment which is pass optimal in gppp
winning lineups

videos let’s talk about 2018 when it
comes to the optimal lineup I do not
have a gpp when winning lineup I didn’t
record one in 2018 but I have a
realistic lineup because your optimal
left $2,200 on the table that’s
difficult so Satoshi kadro won that
event at $6,600 so he was part of the
optimal lineup duh he won it you get
winning points that you it’s 10 points
over second place so he’s obviously
going to be in the optimal but it was
him seiw dambo list Orel and Simpson
that’s a 9k golfer 2 8K golfers 27 and a
six now again you’d have to leave $2,200
on the table that’s difficult to do I
never advise anyone to leave a lot of
money on the table if anything leave no
more than $500 maybe even $600 $494 is
usually the the
smallest um amount that I’ll leave on
the table I shouldn’t say a smallest
it’s it’s the the lowest that I will
spend otherwise I’m trying to spend
almost all 50,000 of the salary so $600
on the table is how much I’m willing to
leave now the optimizer when I send it
to you guys it’s set to
$800 you can see it right here the
minimum salary I have it set to $800
left on the table you can play around
with that if you want you can you can
modify this however you want I usually
change mine to
494
just you actually limit the amount of
lineups you can build because if you
leave more money on the table you’re
opening up your uh you’re opening up
the the amount of combinations they grow
with the more money you leave on the
table there are actually more
possibilities of building lineups than
if you were to leave less money on the
table believe it or
not so your realistic optimal just kicks
out one 7K golfer and adds another nine
so it would be two NES two eights a
seven and a six and if you follow this
channel long enough you already know I
like to advocate for a 1098 776 start to
your builds that’s kind of the salary
structure this week we do have a
$113,000 sky Sheffer and no 5K range
Scotty at 13,000 is still considered in
the 10K range we’ll talk about that when
we get there uh but just keep that in
mind anyone north of 10 I just count as
a 10K golfer uh and this the realistic
optimal in 2018 used two n 2 eights
seven and a
six in
2019 let me go ahead and get rid of the
filter
we left $3,000 on the table for an
optimal I again I once again did not
record a gpp winning lineup but I do
have a more realistic lineup that left
$900 on the table so that’s super
interesting your optimal lineup were the
six golfers at the top of the
leaderboard you had coocher
10K Klay at
9k 7K Streelman and 3 6K golfers in CT
pan Scott piery and Shane Lowry 6K 3 6ks
I wouldn’t advised this week even with a
high priced uh Scotty sheffler but
obviously you see it work there and oh
by the way there are three other 6K
golfers uh inside the top I guess inside
the top nine looks like there’s another
uh 6K golfer another another
another wow I didn’t even realize
this I didn’t look at this beforehand
that is 11 golfers in the six C range
that are inside the top 10 so maybe I
take that back maybe 36k golfers are
just fine this week I mean this is 2019
I don’t have a strength of
field uh calculated for 2019 but that’s
that’s nuts that’s
insane a more realistic optimal because
we have that many 6K golfers in the top
10 you really can’t build anything
that’s going to get close to that the
closest that we could was leaving $900
on the table that was a 109 9 8 76 6 and
I’ve been tracking this type of stuff
for a really long time that would be
your second most common optimal lineup
build 1098
766 so keep that in mind the most common
is 1098 776 then the one I just said and
then the third most common is 1098
777 I think there’s someone on Twitter
that would disagree with me and say that
a 108
8776 is the most common
um I don’t know where his data spans to
so I couldn’t tell you but that would be
another one and that one also shows up
in my data as well but not as frequent
as a 10987
start okay 2020 this tournament was the
second event back from Co so I’m not
even going to look at it I’m not even
going to count it I don’t I really don’t
think it matters that much salaries are
based off
of there there’s a lot of things that go
into the algorithm for DraftKings and we
already know recent form is one of them
so there wouldn’t have been any recent
form it was the second week coming back
from Co so it’s very difficult for us to
even
understand and plus with the buckets and
everything I’m not going to count this
year but if you really wanted to take a
look as to what the optimal lineup it
was the same as the mil maker uh it was
a nine 38 make that 4 eights and then a
seven so it was very very balanced and
if you’re looking for an excuse to play
balanced I guess you have one right
there you had two 10K golfers by the way
that were in eighth place that probably
were one two three shots behind you know
the top five top three so anything could
have happened they would have been up
there in the optimal lineup I’m sure
just by a couple they’re probably off by
a couple Strokes so keep that in
mind in 2021 your optimal left a ton of
money on the table once again 3900 to be
exact I again I I will continue to
repeat this I don’t advocate for that I
don’t think it’s smart don’t do it but
your optimal lineup had two 9k golfers
in it three or uh I’m sorry two sevens
and two sixes so two NES two sevens two
sixes I did record the gppp winning
lineup That year that used up all 50,000
of the salary and you had uh a 10K
golfer and cam Smith by the way these
light blue golfers that are highlighted
that’s in your gvp winning lineup you
had cam Smith 102 91 Fitzpatrick 85
Shane Lowry 82 Billy horel
$7,300 guo and $67 Stewart snc so just
to repeat that in a different way that’s
a 10
98876 so that was your gpp winning
lineup and then a more realistic optimal
that would have take that would have
beat the gpp but not the optimal you
would have went with a 10 9
9776 start so keep that in mind
moving on to
2022 your optimal lineup only left $400
on the table and that started with Klay
at $10,000 $9,200 Jordan spe then we had
$88,500
Harold BR thei $700 Matt coocher $7,500
cam young and $6,600 JT poen or a
different way of saying that would be a
1098 776
start your gpp winning lineup use all
$50,000 of the salary and that was those
same three guys up top I’m yeah actually
not the same three the same two at top
but then we include Shane Lowry which
was another 9k golfer so you went
1099 and then we had van royan at 7K Kaz
down here 7K and then JT Poston 6K so
1099
776 so again pretty darn close to that
10987 start and then when it comes to
last your your optimal lineup uh left $0
on the table used up all $50,000 of the
salary cap and that or that included
Jordan spe at 104 Patrick kley at 103
Fitzpatrick at 84 $6,800 Hayden Buckley
7,000 relo and $7,100 Cam
Davis it’s pretty much the same as your
gpp winning lineup however it just had
the three guys up the top it’s Patrick
spe Klay and then it had G and Davis and
then we got scroll down a little bit to
Adam shank who scored 64.5 points um
that was
$6,800 so just to say that differently
210 1 eight 27s and one six and again
that left 0 on the table The Sweet Spot
optimal which I started recording last
year had a 10 a n an 8 8 7 six that used
499 let’s see how much did that score F
uh 6 35.5 and the gpp scored
620
so this week is different because we
obviously have an elevated no cut
limited field event 69 golfers versus
where we had
140 four golfers we were supposed to
have 144 golfers last year I think we
only had
143 um I think that’s also what we have
most of the time let me double check I’m
going to go to my bucket system page and
look at salaries and come down
here yeah 143 last year 131 the year
before 134 the year before that
151 in 2020 that was in the summertime
then 131 and 13 so just north of 130 and
we have again 69 golfers this year you
can kind of see how the salary
breakdowns have uh work so in 2024 what
I have right here six 10 kick offers we
see normally 5 to six I mean the average
is
5.17 a little actually this is just
North of average when it comes to the 9k
range as well 8K or there were eight 9k
golfers in 2022 otherwise everything
around stays around six same goes to AK
so like your 10 n and eights don’t
really change much but your
766 so I split the 6K into two different
ranges the the upper six and the lower
six uh and that actually kind of stays
pretty consistent at least for the last
two years kind of see how the numbers
are very
similar um maybe I’m stretching with
that but very interesting nonetheless so
when we look at this this week when it
comes to
salaries the big question is what can
you do with Scotty sheffler Scotty
sheffler is $13,300
can you fit him into a lineup we’re
obviously going to start we’re going to
build lineups at the end of this video
just to see what we can do do with that
um I’m not positive what we I I haven’t
really looked at lineups all that much
when it comes to building lineups with
Scotty sheffler but I’m not afraid to
play Scotty I think the whole baby thing
uh as I’ve learned he’s his his wife is
due at the end of
April um so there’s probably still some
time and I honestly think this guy could
play his C game and still finish inside
the top 10 so I couldn’t say that I
couldn’t say the same for the other guys
that are here even oberg like I’m a huge
fan of oberg but I don’t think he’s
going to um I think he could struggle at
this golf course same goes with Rory
same goes with Klan and morawa we’ll
talk more about canay since his course
history is super good at this golf
course um but yeah there aren’t many 6K
golfers and really there aren’t many
quality 6K golfers so we leave it up to
the buckets we’ll try to build some
Scotty lineups a little bit later we’ll
see what it looks like uh but I am very
curious um very interested I should say
in going 1098 1099
1088 uh but I think the consistent is
I’m probably going to keep a 10K golfer
in my lineup I don’t think I’m going to
drop down to the 9k range and start
lineups with just NES I think it’s much
I think it’s worthwhile to play your
10ks and if I went back to my bucket
system page you’re probably going to see
you know when I look at just top 10 of
events every single year except for 2018
we had a 10K golfer inside the top
10 uh which is pretty good maybe you
want to look at top fives where it’s
50 how many 10K golfers finished inside
the
uh the top
five so
yeah 50% is not super great that success
rate it’s pretty low but when it comes
to top 10s it’s pretty high and I and
I’m I’m comfortable with the top 10 I
don’t need my my 10K golfer to really
finish inside the top five unless it’s
Scotty if it’s Scotty then yeah I Pro we
need him to finish top five in order to
pay off his
salary anyways we’ll talk more about
building lineups and or or salaries when
it comes to building lineups let’s move
on let’s review the Masters Tournament
um because I want to get into the bucket
system and I want to show you guys how
well the bucket system does every single
week so I actually forgot to load it up
let me go find
it Scotty Sheffer is obviously your
winner uh beat ludvig by four strokes I
mean it wasn’t even close really Scotty
Sheffer your number one golfer in the
world he proved it he not I mean I don’t
even
think I don’t I can’t remember what I
said last week but I obviously fell in
the Trap of playing Rory John ROM just
as much as I played Sheffer I won my
money back so I was happy about that I
had a I had
34 entries in the Millie maker and I
came out exactly break even
so that was super interesting I’m I’m
happy about that I’m glad uh it was a
relief cuz I don’t like I don’t first of
all I’m sure I’m like just like you I
don’t like losing money um but I I wish
I would have went more in on Scotty I
just it just seemed like it
was a no-brainer to play Scotty last
week so I don’t really care to talk more
about the tournament let’s talk about
The Sweet Spot process the bucket system
basically what I have over in this
column I’m looking at all the golfers I
finished inside the top 10 for each of
these buckets and I’m also looking at
how many finish in the optimal lineup
and I’m comparing it to the projections
that I had for the week so for this last
year one bucket I had two to five and if
you’re wondering why that’s two to five
we round down with this Min projection
and we round up with this Max projection
so that’s 2 to five and we had two in
the optimal lineup we had four inside
the top 10 this Y is it first starts
with is this number inside the
projection and if it is it’s just a y if
it isn’t then we double check to see if
that many golfers are in the optimal
lineup and if it is it is yet again uh
not so much yet again but it would be a
success and if it’s not then we get a no
as you can see there’s a bunch of y’s
but we do have one no and you can see
why we had five inside the top 10 from
The Strokes gain three bucket and we had
four that were in the optimal lineup and
I was only projecting one to three so
this one blew out the projection that’s
why the bucket was a no but as you can
see 35 out of 36 buckets were correct
and that’s really all that matters to me
it’s getting all the buckets
correct now when we
review uh the optimal versus the gpp we
also have to keep in mind part of The
Sweet Spot process are the Marque T
times so we’re going to look at the mar
T times right now before we look at The
Sweet Spot
optimal and that way we can figure out
how well The Sweet Spot process actually
did so as we can see I’m going to
highlight these every three golfers are
in a group or they were in a group you
can see that by the group rank over here
um and the rule when it comes to Mary te
times that I say this every single week
you want to select somewhere between two
to four golfers to build lineups around
you don’t want them playing together you
just want to build lineups with two to
four now when it comes to the optimal
lineup Scotty sheffler was the only
golfer that was in the optimal lineup
from the mar times you can tell this by
the little black tick mark That’s right
here next to their names if I scroll
down you can see some of more some more
of the black tick marks col Mara and
Tommy Fleetwood did play together but
they were not in the Mary T times that’s
something I can I can look into in the
future but as it as it stands now I just
look at the mar times and you can see
chef sheer and Scott were in the gpp
winning lineup which was the Millie
maker in The Sweet Spot optimal it was
Sheffer and cam young so it didn’t work
out with the optimal
lineups uh but the gpp winner did win a
million well actually it was a tie so
they won
$575,000 and they only had two
golfers from the marqu T times in their
lineup and they did not play together so
remember that when we go to the uh the
Mary T times for this week I know
there’s just groups of two I saw that uh
earlier by Ryan Hensen uh we had that
also I believe for the Genesis
Invitational and we did just fine there
uh and maybe even the 18t pble Beach
proam I can open up those spreadsheets
we can take a look at that uh when we
get to the Marque T times
but so two pieces to The Sweet Spot
process look pretty pretty good now
they’re not absolutely perfect we didn’t
have 36 out of 36 buckets correct we
only have 35 out of 36 and when it comes
to the Mary T times we only had one
golfer that was in the optimal lineup
for the Marque T times but we did have
two in the gpp winner and we had two in
The Sweet Spot optimal so let’s review
the optimal versus the Millie versus The
Sweet Spot optimal your optimal lineup
left $200 on the table it scored 514
points now I’ve seen some lineups that
won gpps during the Masters at 510 so
only four points separated the optimal
versus the gpp winner uh I’ll just show
you what the the Millie maker for the
$10 contest cuz there was a $100 contest
for The Millionaire Maker as well this
one scored
57.5 so there was a 6 and 1 12 point
difference you had to be super close to
the optimal in order to win to take down
the gppp now the optimal like I said
left $200 on the table and that was
Scotty sheffler morawa Bryson D Shambo
so that’s a 1088 start and then it was a
7K golfer and Tommy Fleetwood 6K golfer
in hoard and a 6K golfer in Chris Kirk
your million maker lineup had Scotty
shuffler morawa dambo Fleetwood hoard so
five of the six optimal lineup golfers
but instead of Chris Kirk it had Adam
Scott now when you take everything into
account with The Sweet Spot process the
Marquee tea times the
buckets we built a lineup That scored
495.00
only have won $33,000 in the mil maker
with this lineup if I recall left $300
on the table and that was Scotty
sheffler Fleetwood dambo so three of
those golfers make it four with hoard
down here but then it had cam young in
it and then Ryan Fox who kind of vaulted
down the leaderboard Sunday I think if
he would have stayed inside the top 10
The Sweet Spot op him would have been
much closer to taking down the
Millie now here’s the issue here’s the
thing that I’ve learned live golf
messes with this quite a bit if I said
that too quickly I said live golf that
other golf tour you know that people
like to uh speak poorly about or maybe
some some people like to speak highly
about um I don’t really care I don’t
have a dog in the fight but that messes
the buckets up because those golfers you
can’t even tell what kind of recent form
they have they don’t have any last week
starts really I mean they do they have
live golf starts but not PGA Tour starts
and
we have to kind of rest on their last
year finishing positions as well as
their course history and obviously they
can come in with any kind of form we
have no idea and last year during the
review video that I had for the Masters
I had said had I just
removed
um if I had removed the minimum
conditionals so if I show you the
optimizer for this week I should have
saved the one from last week but you see
how these all have numbers in them this
is all based off The Sweet Spot process
if I remov these and just made them
zeros but I kept the maximums they were
the way they were IID buil I would have
built a lineup That scored
510
points so
510 uh would have tied I
think the $5 Drive the green or I I
don’t remember which tournament somebody
told me someone scored 510 but obviously
it would would have beaten the Millie
maker and I don’t have that lineup uh
handy maybe I can find it somewhere or
I’m not sure if I tweeted it or not but
either way uh I will do that next week
or next year at the Masters I will
especially if live golf is still a thing
which I I anticipate it being a thing
um I I will remove the minimums I should
have done it this last year but I felt
or this year I felt pretty confident
with the buckets with the minimums but I
think that’s what we’ll do going
forward so that would be review of the
Masters now part of that review is also
going over the 7K combo buckets but I
want to segue to create that a segue
into looking
at uh the strategies for this upcoming
week so let me before I get into the 7K
Comon buckets I’m going to catch up with
chat I think I only saw two messages
come in Dennis how’s it going Nate
danger golf all SG stats are juice to
hell are we talking about live golf or
we just talking about strok stats in
general oh Eric carnivore what’s going

man Nathan says feels like such a long
time till next year’s Masters yeah over
a year
okay let’s look over the 7K combo
buckets because we’re just going to
segue uh from the Masters to the RBC
Heritage now this didn’t work out as
well as I hoped it would have
however
um it really didn’t hurt
you so here let me let me go back
when we went over this last week one
thing that I had failed to update was
this column right
here one of the wonderful things about
the Masters salaries come out early and
when salaries come out early our
spreadsheets we are
updating right away we want to update
them because we want to get content on
as quick as possible what when it comes
to certain uh well
when it comes to the tournament ending
at the Valero Texas open we got to
remember to update our spreadsheets and
I had forgotten to for the 7K combo
buckets when I had made that update
Russell Henley who showed up in a ton of
our lineups was actually sitting
somewhere down here like where Phil and
and uh Harris English were he moved up
and fit right into this number that I
was comfortable creating as group one of
the 7K combo buck
now nobody was in the optimal lineup
nobody was in the gpp winning lineup and
the rule that I had set out was one to
two golfers now when I was building
lineups I either had to go all in on
Matt
Fitzpatrick or I had to stomach playing
the likes of Jason day Min wuli who had
a broken finger Steven joerger with his
debut performance I didn’t feel
comfortable with any of those so I
actually had a lot of Henley and
Fitzpatrick which neither one of them
really performed well enough to give
me any any good lineups like I said I
won my money back so I was happy with
that and I went all in on that one to
two golfers from this I I kid you not I
went all in on the one to two golfers
from here 0 to one golfers from here and
0 to one from here and I was like I was
almost all in on theala and Fitzpatrick
starts or theala and Russ Henley starts
I was almost all in on all of those but
I knew I had to you know Safeguard
myself so I actually put some exposure
limits on there so I think I had siah in
maybe 24% of my lineups Henley was in 22
to 24% and Fitzpatrick was like 26 to
29% which was okay but I had some really
good lineups I had Nick Taylor in them I
had a good feeling about Nick Taylor
that didn’t go well and didn’t really do
a lot of Jason day didn’t do a lot of
mini and and certainly didn’t do a lot
of Steven Jagger I didn’t really feel
comfortable with Steven
Jagger so when you when you break it
down one to two of these 0er to one of
these and 0 to one of these we maxed out
our 7K range at three golfers we didn’t
want to play more than three so honestly
if you just picked one from up here and
sight was like Fitzpatrick and you and
you paired them up with uh Tommy
Fleetwood you probably were doing just
fine same goes with Russell Henley and
even theala down there uh well actually
you want to select one of these guys so
the 7K combo buckets weren’t super great
during the Masters but it didn’t hurt
you and I’m going right back to it
because this is one Tournament of many
that I’ve done the 7K combo buckets and
this is really the only one where the
top of the 7K combo buckets did not
perform that
well so when we look at this week’s 7K
combo buckets we have 20 total golfers
in the
7K uh range and you know what maybe what
I should do is is open up the Genesis
Invitational cuz that’s the one where
hii won that’s the one where I won
$1,800 playing Hideki from the combo
buckets so this is your 7K combo buckets
from the Genesis imitational you had
207k golfers like we did that week I
guess if I was to do this it it’ be here
are your groups right here and it
probably went like
this so you’d wanted to play one to two
of these guys zero to one of these guys
and zero to one of these guys and again
this is the Genesis
Invitational um that’s how I got on on
Hideki matama I also really like Cam
Davis that week uh and didn’t shy away
from playing Denny McCarthy but I didn’t
play a lot of golfers from down
here and I always think that’s super I
mean zotus I played a lot my my winning
lineup had zalatoris as well as matama
in it so this week what can we do what
can we look
at you know matama seemed like a
mispriced guy that week I don’t really
think anyone’s a misprice guy this week
hogi pavon M day and Baden hot I’m not
like super confident in any of these
guys but if there were golfers that I
really like like I don’t have an issue
playing Tom hogi oh actually ladies and
gentlemen I have a question for
you I want your input like legitimately
I want your input so here’s kind of
the this is the these are the finishes
to go along with their buckets um here’s
my question to you I included any golfer
in the 7K range and above that scored 80
or more points now 80 or more points
does not it probably if you had two 8K
or two 7K golfers that only scored 80
points and you missed out on the guys
that scored 100 or 96 or 90 you weren’t
going to win a gpp so here’s my question
to you do we remove these like I’m I’m
I’m legitimately asking you do we remove
these this is a community question uh a
question for the community do we remove
anything that isn’t near the top three
or five so like I would remove basically
this is what I would do I’d remove this
guy
I would remove these right
here the 16th Place finishes I’d
probably also remove and I’d keep the
rest I don’t have DK points here what do
you guys think do we include the 80
points or do we remove the 80 points cuz
if we do this it’s going to change the
7K combo buckets I am almost thinking
about doing that and actually let me
bring back the Genesis
Invitational I probably also did same
thing let’s double
check no I did not this was pretty large
this this encompassed everything from
100 points let me just scroll in for
you you can kind of tell where the break
points are because it’s all in order of
DK points so like for this year I
included
133 down to
74 so if you’re answering right now and
you want to retract your answer and say
something different after seeing the uh
the the Genesis
imitational so I did include everything
within 20
points basically the same thing and then
also your 15th Place finishes I
includeed here as

where we got to Hideki and Hideki was
was at the top because all the buckets
that showed up inside the top 10 right

and we were to sort

sjm CZ and pavon

happened yeah so we had CZ IM pavon and
hogi so nothing changes there hogi IM
Bez pavon they just change order day now
drops down to here which I kind of agree
with and then at the bottom we’ve got
shank McCarthy Bradley and Harmon Tom
Kim jumps
up I probably would not keep Harmon it
would just I would highlight Keegan
Bradley denim and and and Adam shank so
I think Adam shank I guess how I kind of
look at this is the same golfers that we
see in both of those groups kind of like
Matthew pavon I probably wouldn’t
highlight because he only scored seven
like there’s only seven points to go
towards them so it just be these three
and these three so it’s like shank and
the combination of hogi IM or
CZ and then you know zero to one of the
rest of the golfers so I guess now that
we kind of did that little practice uh I
don’t think it really
matters if we keep these things
in just hit the back button a bunch of
times we’ll get our updates or will we
not oh sizing the sizing thing there we
go okay so I guess it doesn’t matter
ladies and gentlemen it does not matter
just remember Jason day was not the guy
and neither was Kim or Harmon but it it
seems like Adam shank was kind of the
dude I’m okay with that honestly I’m I’m
I’m okay with
that kind of makes me like uh Tom hogi a
little bit more though I won’t lie he
was at the top on both those lists
didn’t matter if we removed everything
or if we added everything hogi was your
top guy and if there was a golfer that
kind of
reminds me of Hideki from the Genesis it
would be Tom hogi I mean not quite but
kind

revisit this when we build lineups I

anymore let me do the same thing for

cool all right let’s move on to the rest
of the strategy portion for the RBC
Heritage and just jump right into the
buckets this is the Masters go right
here RBC Heritage all right you want to
follow along with me you’re you’re able
to do so check out the link in the
description that says cheat cheet if not
obviously go to sweetspot dfs.com you
can find the cheat sheet there as well
click on the cheat sheet whether it’s
looking at it through the web or just
going straight to the cheat sheet but
you can follow along with me all I’m
going to do is put some filters on the
bucket system I’ll show you what to do
and this is where we’re going to find
our anchor buckets basically the golfers
that we know we want to play this
week so I have cleared out all of the
filters so you guys can follow along
basically what I like to do is go to the
max projection
go into this column go filter by
condition and we’re going to go greater
than or equal to two so greater than
equal to two will just cut out a lot of
the other buckets and essentially what
we’ll do is make sure that this colum in
the Min projection will always be one or
more and why I want to find one or more
is because that means we want to play at
least one golfer from these buckets if
the salary cap allows us to cuz that’s a
big B part of the P or a big part of the
question is can he or can we build
lineups with these golfers um because of
their
salaries now one other piece that I like
to do is I like to trim it down even
more especially when I’m when I’m
streaming uh going over these videos
because otherwise it takes a really long
time to get through all of them but if
you were doing this on your own these
are technically all of the anchor
buckets so all the stat categories that
you see right here these are all a part
of the
uh the anchor buckets meaning you want
to play at least one golfer from each of
these
buckets and maybe not so much at least
one I would say this one would not be H
let me actually go through this
again I would probably be less inclin
yeah just this this one the the bucket
that says missed Cuts 80 plus is missed
cuts from last week um that’s not up for
certain and actually I have this in the
optimizer as 0 to three so last week
five you can see 0 to three it just it’s
probably not uh a bucket that has a lot
of quality golfers in it has nearly the
same amount of golfers that we see every
single year in it but I’m assuming the
quality just isn’t as high the strength
of field points aren’t as high so
anyways the other piece that I like to
do is kind of go into this bucket total
for this year and remove anything that’s
like 25 or greater but I I think for
this week I’m just going to go anything
less than 20 I really don’t want to talk
about too many buckets but let’s go
ahead let’s just clear everything out
and then select everything that’s under
20 and we are
stuck with really seven buckets but
again we’re not going to talk about last
week
fives
so let’s look at the first bucket which
are last year ones Dennis I see your
message did sheffer’s wife have the baby
no she has
not uh and you’re right he was going to
bail but I think what the Twitter sphere
has learned is she isn’t due until the
end of April so everyone it they just
it’s a narrative it was a narrative that
people were trying to play you want to
be the first one to say it you want to
be the first one to spread it and then
also it just makes him seem more like a
man you know he’s got his obligations
it’s just a it was just a narrative I’m
not even too concerned about it this
year or this week to be quite honest
with you I think this is his last event
that he plays before he probably packs
it away uh and waits for the baby to be
born just my two
cents now that we uh trim down our
anchor buckets what you’ll want to do is
go into the dream sheets again you can
follow along with me on the cheat sheet
which again the dream sheet is a part of
the cheat sheet um um go here and put a
filter on on the page uh I’m going to
move the Masters over there I don’t care
to look at it if we don’t have to um and
then sort salaries to uh top to bottom
and in this last year column the ly
column just clear everything out and
select one this is our first anchor
bucket and how the anchor bucket reads
we want somewhere between two to five
golfers from this bucket or at least
that’s where we’re projecting to be
inside the top 10 I think there’s going
to be somewhere between 2 to 5 so we can
either think about this like selecting
anywhere between 2 to 5 maybe we can
only select one or
perhaps you know two three or four
doesn’t really matter whatever we feel
comfortable with Scotty’s in this bucket
so if you did pick Scotty you probably
can’t pick anyone else except for those
that are in the 6K range down here and
maybe the 7K range but that might not
even be ideal
anyways yeah the projections 2 to 5 I
also think Scotty’s just going to finish
inside the top 10 no matter what so I
think he’s going to be a golfer that um
adds to the success of the bucket that
projection of two to five I think he’s
just going to be one of those guys no
matter what I I really think this is a
week where you do have to
consider uh if he doesn’t win the
tournament he might not be in the
optimal lineup and even if he does win
the tournament there is the possibility
he won’t be in the optimal lineup 133 is
pretty pretty high
uh again we’ll build lineups later we’ll
try to figure it out but um yeah we’ll
we’ll continue
um we’ll Contin continue to Theory craft
different lineup ideas when it comes to
like Scotty but you also have Xander and
Patrick cley in this bucket which are
really easy golfers to build around Soto
is Fleetwood Fitzpatrick even spe and
then the gala so two to five golfers is
what I’m projecting to be inside the top
10 from this bucket
the next one are your last week ones
these are golfers who top 20 at the
Masters so if you’re following along
with me on the cheat she just make sure
there are no active filters clear
everything or last week and then just
put
one and we have Scotty yet again Xander
yet again Tommy Fleetwood yet again and
by the way we didn’t talk about uh Cam
Davis or Taylor Moore but they’re also
down here as well as golfers that were
also in the last year one bu buet which
again are top 20s from last year in the
last year one and in the last week one
are top 20s at the
Masters so our projection is two to four
and that’s pretty solid pretty firm two
to four golfers that I think are going
to finish inside the top 10 again I just
think it’s an automatic
Scotty and that’s the interesting thing
too if we think it’s an automatic Scotty
he takes
one projection point away from that that
projection it turns to one to three for
the rest of them uh which is interesting
because you’ve got some 10K golfers up
here worth playing and then also some
eight some 9k golfers worth playing so
just throwing this out there as well my
projections can break like not so much
break but the projections could be wrong
now last week we had 35 out of 36
buckets that were correct this weekend
maybe not so
much okay so I see Byron in the chat
Byron I’ll get to you um
here I’ll show you this is what I I was
drinking it’s called
moncky cold
snacks it’s a Wisconsin beer my
Wisconsin friends um got me onto it good
good stuff but Bush light’s fine Bush
light I don’t
care H KS light no thank you uh I’m not

person but um yeah when it comes to the
projections yet again uh we’re looking
two to four you know if it’s Scotty then
we’re looking one more maybe two more
maybe we just you know fade Scotty
completely even thinking he’s going to
finish inside the top 10 that’s that’s a
strategy this
week
so yeah that’s uh the second anchor
bucket to talk about let’s go to last
week twos so that’s this bucket right
here and the projection is one to three
so we won’t see Scotty in this bucket
so no need to talk about him here uh but
this one includes Rory
malroy Patrick anay Matt Fitzpatrick and
then you can see the rest of the guys
the so far we’ve talked about last year
ones last week ones and now last week
twos so the only golfers that were in
the last year one and last week two
Patrick hlay Russell Henley and Ricky
Fowler now combining these things not
like a for sure hey these are going to
be the guys that finish inside the top
10 but it does help their
chances um doesn’t it doesn’t I
shouldn’t say it that way it’s not a for
certain that they’ll be inside the top
10 it just yeah it helps their chances
but it could be any of these guys and
again the projection was 2 to four or no
no no it was one to three one one to
three so that makes things interesting
and if if you guys are confused guess
what the optimizer already has all this
built in with the conditionals so we
don’t even have to think about it we
don’t even have to pick and choose it’s
just really getting eyeballs on the
golfers that you might like that you
might want to Anchor your lineups
around so that was the other anchor
bucket we are not talking about last
week fives we also won’t be talking
about salaries but we’ll talk about
course history to Golfers this is a one
to three bucket let’s see who’s in this
make sure all your filters if you’re
again if you’re foll along with me make
sure they’re all cleared
uh and we’re looking at cors
32s and we want somewhere between 1 to
three golfers from this bucket or at
least we’re projecting one to three to
be inside the top 10 some interesting
names Al morawa Fleetwood Fitzpatrick
fle wood and Fitzpatrick have been in
all the buckets we’ve talked about so
far um not Jordan spe not cam
young who else anybody no it’s just
those golfers Fleetwood and Fitzpatrick
those are the the only golfers that have
been in all three of the anchor buckets
we’ve already talked
about super interesting again it doesn’t
ensure they’ll finish inside top 10 it
only helps and quite frankly I like both
of them I don’t know which one I like
more I probably like Fleetwood more um
but we’ll we’ll see we’ll see what the
anchor buckets look or I mean the Mary T
times look like and what kind of lamps
we can build with both of them
so super interesting there
the last anchor bucket to talk about
would be Strokes gain one these are
golfers that have all positive Strokes
gain stats and the projection here is 2
to
five so again clear everything out make
sure there are no active filters and all
you really have to do is sort A to Z and
you get all the golfers here in green
are part of those projections and lo and
behold we have Adam shank who was in the
7K combo buckets that we were kind of
looking at
but you have Rory up here Xander Xander
was in two of the anchor buckets we’ve
already looked
at trying to find was there anybody
Fleetwood Tommy Fleetwood is the only
golfer that’s been in every single
anchor
bucket again it doesn’t ensure a top
10 it just really helps his chances uh
Cam Davis no Cam Davis is not but Cam
Davis in three of the buckets that we’ve
Ted talked
about
interesting
okay Windom Clark is $9,200 I didn’t
even know he was 9200 he’s six in the
model that’s pretty oh my god I didn’t
even think I almost thought to myself
Windam Clark was a 10K golfer this week
and I just was never going to touch
Windam Clark in the 10K range $9,200 is
pretty
juicy so here were all your anchor
buckets hopefully you found some golfers
that you were looking at
uh or I shouldn’t say found some golfers
maybe you’re looking at golfers you
didn’t think to look at before or
maybe we have confirmed the golfers you
want to play so now that we went over
the anchor buckets the last piece to
talk about are the Mary T times when it
comes to The Sweet Spot process for the
RBC Heritage so how I like to do this
make sure there are no active filters
sort from salaries top to bottom and
then what we’re actually going to do I
guess it doesn’t really matter I just
think it’s cleaner to do it that way
you’re going to sort by the group rank
now if I go to the cheat sheet which
again is available to you link in the
description it’s column o for you guys
for your um the Mary T times the group
rank that’s the Marque T times just sort
A to Z and we get groups of
two so I think what I want to do is just
validate that we did this
for either the 18t Pebble Beach proam
where there were groups of two or
possibly the uh Genesis Invitational so
let me go and find
it I’ll pull up the Genesis and I will
pull up the AT&T Pebble Beach
proam so here’s the AT&T Pebble Beach
proam if we see three golfers then I’ll
just close the uh spreadsheet we don’t
need to look at it this was by groups of
two as well so here you go here’s the
AT&T P Beach proom when it comes to
Marque t times I’m highlighting every
two golfer because or every two golfers
because that’s exactly how they were
paired up in the 18t P Beach
proam so when we look at this week’s
Mary T times remember you want two to
four two to four golfers you want to
build your lineups around and they can’t
be playing together and you can see the
optimal lineup golfers you had Windam
Clark and ludvig they weren’t playing
together two golfers that were in the
optimal lineup but you also had four in
the gpp winning lineup you had three in
The Sweet Spot optimal and none of them
were playing together
none so I’m going to close this

Beach proam here’s your Genesis
Invitational let’s see if they were in

two they were not they were in groups of
three so it doesn’t quite work out but
as you can see if I do all uh by threes
you won’t see optimal lineup golfers

add in small hands Tom Kim he was in
your gpp winning
lineup um and then Adam
hadwin down here was in group number
eight so that was also a Mary tea time
so you get uh three Mary te times with
shley can’t lay and Adam hadwin it all
works
out so again there there are your Mar T
times for The Genesis which is another
tournament very similar to this one that
we’re kind of looking at the same way so
now that we talk about our Mar T times
let me zoom in just a little bit

either going to say sweet spot or 100
when your lineup gets built or when your
lineup comes in here so first person by
the way Byron those were your

those savings we’re going to move theala
up to Klay and sheffler down to
spe which is just this but this won’t
work in a in a salary cap that that’s
kind of what we just figured out this
won’t work in a salary cap well actually
this does because it’s 48,900 but that’s
Insanity don’t do that instead what
we’re going to do is we’re going to
change
um this to sunj and this to hubard yeah

but we know that’s Matt
Fitzpatrick at 8,400 but in that
scenario that’s how Scotty could still
win the tournament and not you know be a
better lineup than starting a 1098 777
or a 1010

and the optimal scored 587 my optimal SC

better and you could have started with
Sheffer at 114 ludvig at nine then you
had uh Clark at seven Burns at eight and
then two sixes so basically a 1098
766 start so that was that was the 18t P
beach
proam at the Genesis the optimal left a
lot of money on the table but the gpp
winner did not and they had five golfers
inside the top seven and then one guy
down here uh Tom Kim Believe It or
Not gpp scored 63.5 your optimal scored
661 and your sweet spot scored 646 so
that was 16 points over that one and
that one was a 10 9 8
777 only leaving $300 on the table all
golfers inside the top 10 um 1098 777 so

of betting for you to get into I think
you would be really good at betting
placements yeah I mean I’ve thought
about it and I’ve I’ve even set out to
all my friends that know that I’m
building a website and putting all these
reports together Byron I kid you not man
I’m like I know you’re going to be
someone that’s going to be super excited
about the website like when I get those
reports uh put together they’re going to
show you like I what I have it currently
what I’m building so far um I can show
you average finishing position after
round two positions round three
positions um what a weekend average
weekend score is their birdies that they
do after let’s say if they did seven
birdies one round what’s the likelihood
they get five or more the next round
I’ll show you what that looks like um
all the scoring reports you could
possibly think of uh uh keeping track of
their top 10 rates and their likely
breakthrough to get into like to have
another top 10 so imagine you see like
um Peter melady is a perfect example you
know he gets a top 10 skips there like
three weeks he goes without getting
another top 10 top 10’s that fourth week
after that uh first top 10 and it goes
28 weeks without top 10 again you
compare that to like your average
golfer in his see I what I would I would
put him into a classification because
it’s Peter melatti you know like I’d put
him into a short ball hitter a c-tier
short ball hitter and I would compare
him against all the other c-tier short
ball hitters and just see what their top
10 rates are you know and just basically
average them out and show like okay
what’s the what’s the likelihood that he
breaks
through in top
10s um oh yeah no I think my website
will
be will be very pivotal for showdowns
like
the the like dude the the database I’m
building like I’ve already built my
database but the fact that I want to do
so much more to it I’ve kind of put it
off linking it to my website because I
want
more which is my issue in life is I
always want more and it always delays
things
but yeah I know it’s you’ll love
it yeah um I just i’ I’ve actually oh my
God Byron I found a sweet ass um let me

that you should get a hold of I don’t
know if you already know
it but if you don’t it’s
fantastic but this
one might be called the engine might not
be the
one it is this

so I think I got to scroll all the way
down can’t zoom in that sucks like I
can’t zoom in for the formula
but essentially what it
does
is uh let me zoom in on the spreadsheet
at
least so it basically looks at
okay let’s look
at this this round two
score and what we should do let’s rank
it let’s rank what this round two score
is compared to every other golfer that
is in the Tour Championship now when you
think about that if you want to make a
full update that includes a full
database of tournaments you got to think
of a a a a formula so here I’ll show you
it I think you can see it better on the
screen if I just double click in here so
if I have it if it if something’s blank
just make it blank otherwise you make it
a count
ifs and so your range would
be oh you can’t really see it but F2 to
F6 so basically the tournament season
we’re looking at just the Tour
Championship 2023
right so in this we’re looking at that
and then we want to find obviously what
if you go horizontal what that F uh that
cell is there and then we’re looking at
O2 to whatever and the score after it’s
what’s the position after round two
so obviously we’re adding that up and
then you got to have this equal or uh
parentheses with a less than sign and
then the nend symbol and then you
repeat uh o you know 06418 which is that
cell that’s right here that you can’t
see plus one and it gives you the
ranking of this this total right here
and it’s only looking at you know so you
get to look at the entire database and
then rank order them based off of what
that tournament is so you just boom plop
it in because obviously when you’re data
when you’re creating a
database um you want that formula to
work just for the stats you want to look
at you want it to look at and you want
the capability to not have to go into
every little range and you know update
it for every range so like d uh top 10
DraftKings points top 20 DraftKings
points um how many DraftKings average
draft Kings points do someone score
after a cut or you know when they make a
cut stuff like that it’s freaking
awesome full disclosure have not watched
a second of your weep stuff but seems
legit dude Mrs back down bets uh why are
you looking at the
computer yeah here I’ll show you that
formula again it’s like so I have
position after round one position after
round two and position after round three
and really just totaling those things
up this line I I I think what I looked
at is how to find a
rank of a subset of data in a larger
range of data something like that I
Googled something like that and came
across this one but it was like the
opposite it was the greater sign versus
the less than sign and so it was doing
things in the opposite way so the
highest total was ranked one whereas I
wanted the lowest total ranked one
it was nuts but once I figure that out
I’m like oh my God like I can do so much
with this
formula it’s a you know and obviously if
you have round one score round two score
round three score round four score you
just you can add them up differently
however you
want so yeah
it’s that was a godsend to to find that
and then I also have fantasy stats which
I haven’t have a different um formula
with a
different
sheet that I do for
updating so I’m keeping track of DK top
10 DK top 20 but quite frankly I’ll be
able to do that for DK optimal lineup so
I’ll be able to update my like this is
my scoring sheet that I’ve been doing
that I’ve been using to update my
spreadsheets
forever so I’ll be able to do that just
by looking at the DK points cuz I have
them all save saved DK points whatever
their salaries were I have all that so I
can OB I can update this when I go and
then I’ll just copy this over to the
spreadsheet I was just showing you I
keep all The Strokes gain stats from uh
data golf here uh this all here is just
redundant I just have round one through
four this is my old school way of doing
things but once we put the database uh
connected to the website that will be no
more all my spreadsheet stuff will be no
more uh I will just have to update or
append every single week with this the
website or with the the the data that
I’m doing to put
in uh into the website that’s all I’ll
have to do it’ll save me time which will
be
sweet is this going to be free or what’s
your plan with this thing it’s sick so
I’m obviously going to have like
partnersh ship deals
um those that you know have helped me in
this space I have no problem giving free
access
to
um so yeah but it will be CH like to use

ago to build a website then and we
finally got it here because I pushed

live streams Thursday nights it’s like
I’m getting this done like no
matter what I’m getting it done I’m
getting a website up and running um by
the way I paid for my website three
years ago and now it renews this year so
I haven’t even gotten it out there for
for people the one me that one founding
member pays for 34s of my renewal fees
so I’m super thankful for that guy like
I that was
huge and the whole website building
stuff takes way more time than you think
just to make it a fast website or to
have the loading speeds be
faster there’s so many settings dude so

think you’re going to purchase something
you have no idea what you’re actually
getting and only to be
disappointed um I hate that so one I
want to make it affordable you know like

says I think that’s too much uh
especially from what I saw like I was
able to see someone pull up shipet
Nation for me it’s not all that
impressive um but it’s paying for the
people that are a part of it I get that
part of it but I literally just like

a database uh thing that you go to for
fantasy
golf
um but I also like I said I want to make
it affordable I also want to be able to
pay myself on the back end of it to just
like what you kind of uh you you want

just finding value plays down here which
most of these golfers are pretty closely
ranked to each other there’s not huge
gaps but the optimizer not only takes
into account the metric but it also
takes into account the the buckets that
they’re apart of and obviously the
salaries so there’s a lot of pieces that
it looks into

can build like which ones are the
best the higher the metric the better
the safe lineup not necessarily it’s
just the optimizer uses the metrics to
figure out the best optimal lineup for
the the golfers that were
selected so it takes account that metric
the metric is the driving force behind
it doesn’t mean the lineup’s better it’s
just cuz the the metric is based off of
my model and I’m not saying my model is
perfect it isn’t
but if you lock in certain golfers it
limits the type of golfers you can
select on because it also incorporates
the bucket system
