do you ramp your way into the majors
through the early part of the Season or
do you not worry about it too much I
guess you’re kind of just learning
so you of course want to Peak at you
know early April uh easier said than
done um but I think it’s just a constant
learning and trying to do your best of
taking your Tendencies and really
understanding them and then once you do
get to a guust in the majors you you
start to play golf um that’s what I’ve
struggled with so I’ve been working on a
lot of mental I wouldn’t say I mean of
course we’re working on physical stuff
as well but that’s not one I can just
pinpoint I will have this you know
figured out by X date um but I think
right now the the game plan is to keep
working on what we’re working on make
little incremental improvements and then
once we get there kind of take all this
golf knowledge and just go be a golfer
when you get there ni now with six wins
on the PJ tour and the European tour win
and a couple on the other different
lower tours have you built a level of
confidence to where you feel like you
know I really belong out here and and
this is you know how my season is going
to go and I’m going to try to peek at
the Masters um I’ve never really thought
that way uh I try to you know I think we
all try to play well each week uh I’ve
obviously struggled in the majors uh a
lot of it has just I think been buildup
so I’m trying to kind of do the not the
opposite but just try to like I said be
a golfer and just go play the golf
course instead of trying to make my game
Peak for a week every month or so so I’m
looking forward to seeing how that goes
this year um almost taking the pressure
off
and off my physical and just kind of
putting it on hey you know if if I’m
really struggling with a certain shot as
I get to April instead of trying to make
sure that I can hit it it’s just get
really good at the ones that do feel
good uh and that’s just been something
that we’ve been workshopping and I feel
quite good about so that’s why I’m
looking forward this next month and a
half stretch just to keep kind of
figuring out what feels great and of
course there’s a time where maybe they
all do feel really good but I haven’t
had that happen very many many times I
don’t think a lot of people have so I’m
trying to do a better job but not trying
to Peak at a certain time just keep kind
of getting a little better and taking
what I have so much of of social media
over the last year or two has devolved
even more than it used to be but you’ve
kept kind of this lightness to it you
have fun with it you you’re roasting
people swings and just making funny
comments how do you go about that how
instantaneous is that how much do you
have to think about it what what’s your
social presence like I’m trying it’s
gotten hard it’s so bad on there uh how
I’ve avoided it I haven’t done the best
job all the time but I’ve started to
think that when I have something I want
to say that’s real and it’s a
frustration of mine I’ve tried to call a
friend and B about it to them instead of
getting yelled at on the internet um
yeah I don’t know uh it’s been it’s fun
doing uh you know building a community
and and have him you know hearing
people’s opinions on things uh
especially when they’re more silly than
they are real uh so I tried to keep it
as much like that but it is hard
sometimes cuz there’s a lot of stuff on
there that drives me absolutely up the
wall like everybody else so I’ve been
trying to call my mom talk to my wife
about it instead of venting about it uh
it’s people who don’t care right but the
uh they it your fans love it when you
roast people and and everyone’s begging
to get roasted could could you just
spend all day doing that you can do 30
minutes a day I’m I I’m tapped out I I
did another couple this past week I
don’t really know why but I’m kind of
tapped out it’s more so because I have
nothing left to say that’s
funny um you know it’s really hard too
is cuz like I did one and somebody said
you know it was they just like basically
critiqued my critique and said it was
not funny enough or whatever I wanted to
just say I’m not a comedian I I never
claim to be so it’s it’s hard feel like
people expect something really great and
some of them make me laugh so I’m trying
to I’m tapping out I’m I’m not here and
there I see a golden opportunity um like
hope Barnett last week but I don’t get
as lucky with names like that all the
time got a lot of Michaels and Bobs it’s
not as easy
