  1. Calipari was like a politician at UK. When things were going well he was on the local radio shows, would sit down for an interview, was out in the community. But, he literally stopped doing any press in Lexington the last 5 years and move to Nashville and NJ during the off season. He completely disassociated from talking with Kyle Tucker one of the main and best beat writers and Matt Jone the most influential local media guy who was very close with Cal for the first 7-8 years or so. He did so over the most minor of criticisms which just gave them full license to spill the beans and tell the truth instead of being Cal partisans. Cal only attended 1 pre game press conference all year and would of skipped all the post game conferences if it was allowed. It was SUPER bizarre and one of the main reasons the Uk fanbase soured on him and wore out his welcome

  2. Every year after covid he had one to two experienced transfers. A key for his system was a great point guard and a good big man. His last good year, 2019-2020 had Quickly and Maxey as guards and Richards as center. The post covid teams did not have that. All three are good NBA players now.
