  1. the “forever” point is stupid. the players will forever be part of that team, that year, no matter where they go or who they play for in the future.

  2. Great points about NIL. Bacot may have left a year or two ago without NIL. The engagement and rivalries are much better when players stay multiple years.

  3. You guys should have this youth sports conversation with the Junior Hurricanes! As a former youth hockey player myself, the process of getting to where we are today with the Jr Canes running the show is fascinating. I played for 5-7 different team "brands", Including Team Pepsi, before the Hurricanes came in and finally took things over. A History of Triangle…. YOUTH sports. HA!

  4. 15:26 So time, date and location matter. Media placement so critical. Plus the number of channels to access. But the storyline and familiarity is King. Made this comment to another on this deal.

  5. 19:22 The NCAA and their relationship with the players prior to NIL would not meet the modern slavery clauses that are utilized by most public companies. They need to get a piece of the action.

  6. NIL has been good for college basketball, but transfer portal not so much, with many rosters (See every mid-major) completely turning over every year. Needs to be some kind of restrictions (one free transfer, then sit out on subsequent ones).

  7. boohoo…This McKenzie guy is so in the tank. Objectively, Judge Cooper cited cases from FL, NC, AZ and federal cases regarding anticipatory litigation and exceptional circumstances. You guys know the term "adjust your priors". Start adjusting your priors…doesn't mean ACC can't come out with a successful settlement but the idea that the ACC is set up to win 100% of all of the arguments was never true. Hell the ruling in NC already proved that because FSU doesn't owe any fiduciary to the ACC which Mr McKenzie never addressed
