PFF’s Steve Palazzolo and Sam Monson talk to Chris Simms and they ask him to break down why he is lower on Drake Maye then the majority of people.

Imagine if Phillip Rivers was coming out of College now?? Damn, he would've been torched by these scouts.
Drake Maye is gonna be great
Haha watching this you’d think Steve and Sam also think Drake Maye is overrated.
“I think you guys are seeing it the same way I do”
They don’t Chris, they have Maye #2 but just couldn’t bring themselves to defend their takes in front of you lol.
Cool. Drake Maye to Washington #2
Same guy who said that the Jets should run to the podium for Zach Wilson. Sorry, but he put his credibility on the line and fell on his face.
Welcome to the 2024 relaunch of the show "Everybody Hates Chris" – NFL Draft version. lol Simms- keep doin your thing! Love these convos, and cheers to PFF for entertaining it. Groupthink is tiring, and unexpected takes are refreshing.
Drake Maye has had NFL level QB coaching for years, in high school Josh McCown and at UNC Clyde Christensen (Peyton Manning, Luck, Tom Brady former coach) and still has mechanical issues and mental mistakes, so none of them could fix his flaws? Or is it a case that he just does not learn.. pretty big red flag!
Great explanatin zu Maye.
Cant stand simms. No idea if he's right, I lack the expertise to say.. but damn he's unpleasant 😅
The money ball quote? No, no, no, you didn’t think that pal, JT O’Sullivan was on a show weeks ago, and said that, it’s one of his quotes he regularly uses, and when they asked JT about Maye, he said you know that Money ball quote, if he’s a good hitter why don’t he hit good? Well that’s how I feel about Maye if he’s a good thrower why don’t he throw good?
I respect Chris because his opinions are based on his own film assessment. Assessing talent is difficult & even after that, nobody can assess a persons mental makeup.
He hit it on the head…They've had Maye #2 for 2 years…and they are going to keeping it that way.
He's right—the highlight reel is nice but if you watch a full game it's quite shocking how many throws are way off
What would Chris Simms know about being an accurate passer? This loser threw MORE interceptions in the NFL than touchdown passes. Just look at the stat sheet. If he was inaccurate it would show up in the completion %. His completion % is fine. He is talking out of his ass. People compare him to Josh Allen, but Josh had completion % in the 50s. Drake's in a bad year is still mid 60s which is fine.
Hes just trying to save his ass, this the same guy who said Zach Wilson was better than Trevor Lawrence, I dont believe it 6??? No way time will tell, but this take nah man, Bryan Thomas I dont hate the wr ranking as much as the drake maye ranking, if you want to say Daniels over Maye im cool with that, but cmon 6?
Do you hear whats coming out of your mouth? Hey man maybe your right and have been before, youve also been dead wrong and thats part of the game, but that Zach Wilson take will live in infamy
One of the top three guys will probably work out, one will probably be a bottom 8 starter, and one will probably be lucky to be a backup. So often, draft guys talk as if every one of them will pan out every year. 1st round QBs are so important because so few of them succeed, so we should be talking about who will bust – it's easier to get right, even if just by chance.
Right. lol
DANIELS IS BETTER THAN MAYE, THIS STARTING TO SOUND LIKE A WHITE QUARTERBACK AND BLACK QUARTERBACK ISSUE. I KNOW FOOTBALL, I GOT EYES, IT'S NO WAY PEOPLE CAN SAY MAYE IS BETTER THAN DANIELS NOW!!! COMMANDERS WILL BE STUPID TO PICK MAYE OVER DANIELS. YOU FANS DEFINITELY DON'T KNOW HOW TO EVALUATE QUARTERBACKS YOURSELVES, YOU LET THE MEDIA DO IT FOR YOU. I LIKE MAYE ALSO BUT HE'S NOT BETTER THAN DANIELS I CAN NAME AT LEAST 7 REASONS.
Simms may have missed on Wilson but his evaluation was right. Talents off the charts, but he doesn't get to interview them and see how they are between their ears.
I used to listen to Chris Simms, but it's hard to take him serious after his can't miss analysis of Zach Wilson. I mean, c'mon.
Simms was so wrong about Zach Wilson. I bought into the Wilson hype, and obviously he sucks…That said I don’t trust the jets offensive coaches and development. Hoping we draft an OT since now with Smith at LT, a young guy can hopefully learn from Smith.
Jealously
Chris Simms is part of the sheep who hate Drake. No more no less. He thinks he’s a genius for putting him down even farther. He’s a sheep.
I’m sure Adam Peters is saying to himself that maybe I shouldn’t draft Drake Maye based on Chris’s Simms analysis. I had a 5th round grade on Jayden Daniels. I’ve been going to UNC for years and extremely high on Drak Maye. But, oh boy, if Chris Simms has him at QB6 then so will I. The 10,000+ all purpose yards he put up in only two years is meaningless. Yep, we need to change our draft board immediately. Aside from all the other misses by Chris Simms, that doesn’t matter. QB6 it is.
Patriots Fan. Drake Maye is getting overly critiqued. Hopefully he lands in New England. He just turned 21, is the prototypical size (6'4) and has a rocket arm that can make all the throws in cold weather and outdoors in the AFC East in December and January. Is he the finished product, absolutely not, but you are drafting on potential ceiling (Phillip Rivers type) and expecting the coaching staff to develop him.
Maye missed literally 2 out of 70 throws at his pro day and he keeps saying it like Maye missed 10-15 throws at his pro day. For anyone who watched all the pro days, Jayden Daniels missed more throws than Jayden on less attempts !!
12 tds 18 ints in 5 years and I’m not talking about Drake Maye 😂😂😂
Can someone ask Chris sims what weed he smoking saying josh Allen didn’t have issues like maye. Allen probably had the worst accuracy in that class
