On every Masters Tuesday since 1952, at 6 p.m. sharp, the past champions have gathered for dinner. #themasters

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. It is not the same, an outsider hosts the champions dinner. The honorable and pure mystique is gone, greed and control have replaced what made championship golf great through the ages. I will watch but we are witnessing the disintegration of traditional values. In the early years the title meant more than the money won. Now it seems the only thing that matters is money in spite of what it can soil and destroy.

  2. 1000's of players? I would guess only 1000 different guys have played in the tournament. Anyone know the number?
