  1. I’ve used the nitro golf ball… never broke a club ! As far as distance… better players hit it vs a calaway… wasn’t a huge difference at all. I feel as if when they say ultimate distance , it’s bs!

  2. I tried them once about 5 years ago and hated the feel – felt like hitting a rock and they didn't seem to go anywhere (I will admit I have a slower swing speed). But I will also say this – there is an older dude like me that plays regularly with us who swears by them – his swing speed is about the same as mine, and he hits them nearly as far as I hit mine (I prefer Titleist TruFeels, or Srixon Soft Feel, or Callaway Super Soft). So maybe they have gotten a bit better.

  3. I use these for chipping practice and as water balls. They feel extremely hard – like a rock. They don't particularly have a dynamic flight they just sort of float to the target. And against the wind they are terrible. I much rather use a ball recovered from a round at the club even if it is a little weather beaten.

  4. We used the Nitro in our Pink Ball Game. If you made a double bogey then you had to use a pink ball until you made a par or some one else made a double. If you lost the pink ball then you had to buy a round and if you finished without making par on 18 with the pink ball then that would cost you a round in the club house. Playing the Nitro was worse than the insult of having to play a pink ball. – LOL Of course a picture was always taken of the guy addressing the pink ball. Oh – the shame.

  5. unless you show us on Trac man and compare it to others don't waste your breath

  6. Hold a Nitro in one hand and a Pro V1 in the other hand. The Nitro feels like cheap plastic by comparison. That said, I currently hit them as I'm making swing changes and don't want to lose higher priced balls while I work everything out. But yeah, I won't stay with them forever.

  7. I used nitros nonstop for months until recently switching to chrome softs… I don’t agree with people who are saying nitros feel like hitting rocks. Yes they feel firmer than other balls, but there are several other balls that feel WAY more like stones than these. A couple examples- top flights aka rock flights, and maxfli straightfli’s. Both of these actually made me worried I might break my clubs and they were super unpleasant to hit. The nitros are nowhere near as bad. I actually like how they feel, and I’ve hit some great shots with them.
