The full history of Harold Bird & Son, a company that probably introduced more golfers than any other to the game through their good quality, affordable clubs.
This is the third video I’ve made about Harold Bird & Son, each time the story of the company has been expanded, to this stage where most of the gaps have now been filled.
This is a the first of a two part video, in the second part I’ll play a few holes with the irons featured in this video.

Another excellent video Nick,I'm looking forward to seeing those wingbacks in play!
I used hb and son clubs for my first ever round of golf in 1984 4-6-8-pw 2-4 woods and a acushnet putter with a tubes slazenger bag
My first set from Kays catalogue in 1984 were Max Faulkener Pinseekers. Paid from my 12 pound a week newspaper round and caddying money! Happy days. Thanks for the great details.
Enjoyed that…..i swear my dad had a set of max faulkers…ill ask him later, might even be still in the loft.
Very enjoyable and interesting. I used to live just off Caldmore Road in the early 90's, which the locals pronounced more like 'Karma' . It's other claim to fame is being the birthplace of Noddy Holder of Slade.
Thanks for posting, I remember my Dad had a set of Pinseekers .
