Who would you rather be is subjective for sure. I also think it is how much you value the regular season, because it's not like all 6 UConn titles have been completely dominant, year-long fun teams that always beat their rivals, were at the top of the conversation all season and provided 5 months of fun basketball. 3 of their titles came as 3 seed or worse(I know I am showing my UNC privilege here). Losing to rivals and conference foes ain't fun even if you take a 7 seed all the way to the title in March.
And if the question is would you rather win titles and be up or down like UConn or be there every year like Gonzaga, I'd take UConn. Even if it was Kansas who is literally ALWAYS there but only cashed it in twice in the last 35 years, I'd take UConn.
But Duke and UNC still have multiple titles recently and in the past. For any fan over 30, that success in the 80's and 90's matter and you'd miss that if you chose UConn.
If it is the Duke/UNC vs UConn would you rather :
-have great season-long runs on a regular basis, rarely miss the tournament, beat your rivals in-season, win big out of conference top25 matchups
-win 3 titles in 12 to 15 years
-Regularly make the Final Four (as we agree, that is an accomplishment in itself and fun as hell)
-Almost always have a chance
vs.
-6 titles in 26 years and 4 in 13
-but miss the tournament 33% of the time and deal with those valleys
-even some title years not being great regular seasons
I'll take the Duke/UNC level of success. And I agree with Ovies that Roy would too.
I think being completely irrelevant for 1/3 of the time is its own kind of pain that Roy, Duke fans and Carolina fans couldn't handle.
What I am jealous of as a Carolina fan is I'd love to end up in the title game once and meet a Butler, Georgia Tech, or San Diego State. Beating Edey and 1999 Duke is impressive, but walking into a title game as far and away the better team hasn't happened to UNC all 12 times they've made it except maybe in 2009.
Do they ship anywhere in the U.S.?
Another year without a B10 National Championship….all is right in the world 🙂 PS. B10 clearly Top Heavy
Wow!! A dog stroller brought out TRUTH BOMBS from Ovies!! Bravo!!
Ovies, if you can one day get your Dad’a car to fly, you can call it the “Champagne SuperNova in the Sky”
UConn has done something impressive, and they deserve praise for it. They're kind of like UNLV was back in the day with Tark. Rising up from a smaller league to win against the power leagues.
We need BreakingT to pump out a CAL THE HOGS shirt ASAP
Love you guys but you're absolutely wrong about in and out fries. They are cardboard garbage that are only edible when you slather them in animal. When I lived on the west coast I always chose fatburger when it was an option
Deuce to the ACC….FSU wins in court today!
Joe Giglio soccer expert cashes that bet on Arsenal vs Bayern.
IN 'n Out > McDonald's, yes.
IN 'n Out > Cook-Out? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
UConn has George Mason, UConn has going to the AAC
I've watched this video with my family, and it brought us all together. Thank you!
You have to compare the fries to char-grill
Ya'll need to quick claiming that because FSU "signed it," they're screwed. If that were true, FSU would be the party filing a motion to seal. Yet, FSU is making no effort to prohibit disclosure of this "Ironclad" contract that they signed not once, but twice. They are aggressively pushing to show this contract to any and everyone to see. I invite any pro-ACC peeps that want to see FSU fall on their face to explain why this is so and what it says about FSU and the ACC's position. (Ain;t gonna happen. Not one hater will respond to this challenge.)
I saw my first Cybertruck in real life a couple of weeks ago while walking on Ridge Road and I just immediately burst out laughing as the guy drove past me.
MacKenzie guy is the idiot that said venue doesn't matter .. lol lol
Judge John C. Cooper vehemently disagrees with your sir.
Mr. Makenzie….2 words for ya…"Forum Shopping" 😆
The pink shirt guy is clueless. The issue at hand are FSUs home games..played in Florida. Not NC
Guys, you are doing your viewers a disservice by having McKenzie on; he offers no meaningful insights into the departures of FSU and Clemson. He continues to give the false impression that FSU is going to have to pay the ACC a lot of money for their media rights in order to exit. Not so. Stay tuned. BTW, today’s hearing in Tallahassee did not go well for the ACC.
UConn has George Mason, how soon y’all forget
I think judge Cooper would disagree with your assessment. Get ready to backpedal
#heyjoe what programs have seized the momentum of a Cinderella run to the final 4? Though I love to say “why not us?”, I can’t think of programs that came back to relevancy after a run like State’s. What’s a realistic level of hope without invoking LOTW?
Go Pack and positive vibes only. Thanks for making a great show.
UConn has had pain…we were sent out to the desert called AAC for a decade…and we had to comeback from the ashes …we do more with less than anybody…we are the little brother that beats the the older brothers Duke, UNC, Kentucky Kansas…and the fans of the older brothers like the typical older brothers hate it and don’t want us in their blue blood club conversation
