Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. I played the d7 forged for 2 years. The chrome finish never once dulled, but I did see marks on the matt finish on thr rear of the club's from when the clubs hit together. I absolutely loved them and will. Hopefully return to Wilson soon.

  2. Alleluia Rick 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.
I've seen plenty of pros review the Wilson irons, tell me how great they are then stick to their normal TM, Titleists etc.

  3. Club and shaft makers need to stop with chrome. Its ugly and tacky as hell. Satin or black is the only way

  4. Love your studio. You’re only missing one thing to make it truly unique and above all the rest of the crowd…. A sandbox to hit out of. For testing a very real aspect of the game.

  5. I have the Dynapower irons, they are really good as well for a high handicapper, hopefully I deserve to buy these for myself at some point

  6. I haven't watched yet, but I love that you've seen the light! I've been harping on these bad boys for a while now

  7. Great review as always, would be interested in reviews of the rest of the 2024 line up from Wilson – dynapower forged, model blades and the ZM wedges

  8. I got the v6 irons a couple years ago cause of the video you made, and they are incredible. People sleep too much on Wilson golf.

  9. When I see irons that cost $2500+ all I can think is their marketing team must think I'm a gullible fool to believe they're any better than $1000 irons 😂

  10. Wilson Staff FG Tour V5 are in my bag. Looking for new ones and I can’t help but look to WS. Always great quality and feel. These and the Titleist line up look like the best ones this year.

  11. Great video, Rick! I'm curious to know your thoughts on Takomo irons. I've heard and seen many great reviews about Takomo and their price point is signicantly lower than even these Wilson irons! Thanks again for posting such great content!

  12. I've tried them. I actually ended up with the Staff Model Blade, just because I could. Both sets were lovely.

  13. Had my eye on these for a while, this has just pushed me to get a fitting. Such a nice looking iron, will be difficult to replace my p770s

  14. Yes Go Rick !! I love Wilson clubs I have a set of Dynapowers. Great to see Wilson starting to get the recognition they deserve. Great clubs for a fair price

  15. I played the T100 briefly after wearing out my previous gen CB’s while waiting for these to come out. These have been in the bag for a few weeks now and I absolutely love them. To be fair I have played Wilson irons for 8+ years now, every set since the V4.

  16. Played tennis most of my life.. Now play more golf, badly… It's interesting how Wilson is a premium brand in the tennis world and demand amongst the highest prices in the industry and in golf it's sort of the opposite. So many tennis greats played with Wilson racquets, Federer, Sampras, Serena, to name a few… Has been a while in golf since I've seen/ heard of a top pro with them in the bag, they deserve a fair shake, competent manufacturer and an amazing value in this instance.

    Thanks Rick!

  17. You should compare the mbs to the Ben hogan icons. I remember how much you loved the look and feel of the hogans. I recently bought a set 4-pw of the icons and I have never played anything else as soft as these irons. Very consistent numbers also. 7 iron carries 155 to 160 and stops on a dime. When I was gaming p770’s my 7 iron was carrying 175 on average but would not stop as quickly. I was seeing 185 to 190 often. Blades are tougher to hit, but I’d rather a bad shot that’s short than a good shot that goes way too long.

  18. Great looking clubs and nice review! I like how you raise concerns even when impressed. Really enjoyed Guy joining in to say “Precious” 😮

  19. Wilson are on a heater these last two years! Nice to see that they are giving more attention to their golf division 🙂

  20. Rick can u test the srixon irons. I just got a set of zx7 and zx5 combo. Man they are amazing

  21. Wilson are a bit like Mizuno in the sense that they don't spend millions sponsoring as many big named Tour Pros as other brands (cough TM, Callaway etc), so amateurs tend to not think of them when choosing their new clubs. The quality of what they do, though, is consistently excellent. Would happily test these.
