A year ago everyone wanted competition because they felt the PGA tour was a monopoly. Now they want a partnership because they need to be entertained. What reputable company wants to be associated with PIF? The company will lose so many customers because of the horrible human rights issues. Let players go to LIV. I was a huge Jon Rahm fan before he went to LIV. I could care less about him now. I have no problem with players making millions but I won’t support them if they getting money through sports washing.
It would be a mistake if LIV ever to merge with the toxic pgat. LIV needs to stay unique and not do biz with the devil.
I think everybody has their own opinions. Game definitely needs to come back together. Maybe there's an angle somewhere for team golf. I think l i v team format some type of Fantasy 4 it's creator but there has to be a better way for team. I personally as a golfer as a professional think 54 holes makes more sense week in and week out although no idea how you could do that and have a cut. I agree the elevated events need to have more players and have a cut those should be 72 holes along with the majors. I just 4 days of Golf Plus your program plus your practice is too much and you're not possibly getting the best product plus causing more wear and tear injuries especially since the season is never ending

Guys Both can be true. The important thing to remember is to remember who you are.
The pga tour is the elite full field tour where everyone scrapes for everything and LIv is the elite limited field word tour; what surfing calls the “dream tour”.
That’s all I really have to say but I’ll elaborate:
In surfing there are huge fields in the qualifier series, and it’s a dog eat dog world to get to the world tour. The world tour in many ways is easier because it’s literally less rounds with less than 40 guys compared to over 100 competitors with new killas coming in everyday (in the Q series). Often the world tour guys compete in the second series as well in case it’s needed for requalification (and for other reasons) to the world tour.
Everyone in surfing as in golf is always under pressure: to get to the dream tour, and then under more pressure to stay on it. If they have done enough in the game they may have a bit more cushion, but it’s still a bunch of pressure for everyone to stay on the world tour. Or the second tour. Or any tour. There’s always pressure and lessons to be learned. The number of holes or rounds or the competitors or the format, they all have pressure built in.
At the end of the day, the pga tour mission statement is about players getting opportunities, and it kind of goes without saying that a limited field is not maximizing opportunities.
Also not giving players an opportunity to move on to a dream tour while opening up more opportunities for other players is not maximizing player opportunity.
That’s why the pga tour needs to remember what it is: player opportunity and charity.
LIv should continue to be what it is: the elites traveling the word in a dream tour of sorts, which make no mistake, is exactly what LIv is:
A dream tour.
Livs format is totally legitimate at 54 holes and 54 players Tripp. The 54 holes is important because the world tour players have more travel and less rounds means they could play more tournaments…and also use practice rounds for formal weekly team match play matches. The pga tour certainly could do similar things.
