When he was announced that he was in the field so I I I do think it could be that and also it’s almost like uh to win a major and you’re gonna have to beat Scotty like whatever happens with Scotty he will be there in some form or fashion

So to me it feels like Brooks DJ Rah uh cam Smith are the type of players who have that intestinal fortitude to face him down the stretch and be able to beat him I don’t know who on the PJ tour right now you can say that about Stephen Jagger Stephen Jagger

Second time he won same price as Adam Scott Matt suama the big the biggest shock of the last five years he was 45 to1 Garcia 45 to1 Reed 55 to1 Bubba the first time 55 to one and then we’re out to Danny Willet at 66s so follow that narrative the only

Other player I think might get sucked into that 16 to 18 to1 price band especially after this week if he plays well would be a Brooks kepka so you might have a situation where it’s Sheffer Ma Roy Ram don’t fancy him defending Champions at augustas a big no

No and Brooks kka so it’s it’s going to be those four in that 16 to1 and under area and then where can we find those juicy sort of 28 to1 and and bigger prices are you know further out than that and that’s why I was so in interested in Dustin Johnson I’ve

Actually backed him already at 40 to one I managed to get on to Windam Clark a few weeks ago as well at 66 to one I know he’s a debutant but that’s a big price for someone that’s playing such top quality golf at the moment I did the

I I plunged on Windam Clark as well but I I avoided the Masters and I took him at 66 to1 at each the US Open and the PGA Championship right around the time of Pebble Beach there are some players and I think that Bryson is kind of the

Primo example of this map that it just seems like those two you can kind of connect together especially since the PGA of America has really started to not necessarily take a page out of the usga’s book but the past five six years the PGA Championship has been a very

Difficult event uh with the way that the setup has been and it seems like they both kind of favor the same sorts of players now extremely long drivers of the golf ball is the narrative and Windam Clark at Valhalla this year yeah I get that you know clearly his his his first win

On the PJ tour was at qu Hollow and if you want a real long classical golf course you know you’ve got it there with qu Hollow and then of course he doubled up at LACC a couple of weeks later so yeah I I get the narrative on Windam

Clark for the PGA for sure uh the only guy I could see Matt breaching into that like sub 16 to one for the masters with a good week would be if spe won this week yeah yeah I completely agree I don’t I don’t see him winning the

Masters or winning this week but to what Steve said I completely agree with the Brooks thing like if you’re that scared of Scotty Sheffer the bet you should make right now is Brooks 20 to1 because he’s the guy who can who can do it and if it’s Scotty or you know Scotty’s not

There then that does bring other players into the fold who can win but if you think he’s there then that Brooks 20 is probably the one you’re looking at do you think that and Matt stick with the live thing for a second because I know a

Lot of people have you have the nean I talked to Jeff yesterday I think he has nean at 90 to1 or 80 to1 or something like that I’m seeing him at 28 to1 he’s going to fall if he doesn’t win at toal this week he’ll end up being like 35 to1

40 to1 but there is probably a big liability on Neeman at this point am I crazy to think he doesn’t really have a chance to win The Masters I I think he can I think he can um because his kind of middle of the country bent grass greens is kind of

What he does and he did finish 16th there last year and when I talked to him um when he told me that he would got the PJ invite he said the Masters is August is one of his favorite courses he said he came into the Masters last year not

Even in form and finished in a tie for 16th wasn’t even playing well at the time and I think his style of game he can hit those low Stingers you know work the golf ball both ways I think he just sets up so well for Augusta I think the

Greens are good for him um I’ve always viewed him as a Sergio Garcia type player uh a younger Sergio and that type of skill set Sergio has been obviously has won the Masters um I just think it’s a great Golf Course for him and if he’s in great form and we’ve seen these

Players who are so hot coming into the Masters win Rah won three times before the Masters Scotty won a couple times before he came in when DJ won in 2019 he had multiple wins ra uh Neiman’s won three three times right the one was the um Australian Open but the um he’s also

Won the two L events which who knows what it means but he is winning events coming into it which has shown to be an indicator of success I it’s funny too because like I I’m trying to think like who the comps would be because this is

What one of the things I was working through when I was doing the the golf rankings like overall because he has those three wins obviously he’s going to be elevated over people who haven’t won but if we just kind of take a look at how they’ve played Steve do you think

That there’s actually a huge difference at this moment between Neeman and someone like cam young arguably you’d say that wacky nean would be higher ranked than cameon I basis I have actually wins golf tournaments sure but but everyone it’s almost like I was thinking about Xander for the Masters as well only because

When you retroactively look at some of these finishes that people have they become a lot better looking once you get the win it’s like oh that was really obvious that Xander was going to win he had top 10 and seven straight Majors or something like that of course he was

Finally going to get one or you just turn into Lee Westwood and you end up you know in obscurity somewhere but retroactively the stuff always looks really good once the win happens and like when I was writing up cam young it was just like this guy just kind of

Finishes second every single time he’s constantly in it had a great debut last year and obviously I’m gonna have Neeman over cam Young and the odds will dictate that as well ne’s going to be a bigger favorite than cam young is Matt but I I feel like cam Young is another one of

Those guys it’s just like if he want to be like oh yeah that actually kind of makes a lot of sense based on what he’s done so far yeah but let’s not forget that nean won at Rivier before he went to went to live against a loaded field by by

Multiple strokes and he fended off hin morawa who are really charging at him there so and we we’ve seen that Riviera connection with the Masters as well that I think maybe sets up for him that long classical test so yeah I mean I’ll have Neeman over Kim Young because of that

And young hasn’t shown he can win but I completely agree I mean everyone everyone is a Los until they’re not and one day they he won’t be and there’s no doubt about it he win he’ll win something and um yeah so I have Neeman above young but I do see the appeal in

Him yeah and just when we finally get to the odds when they listen if you’re betting right now A guy like Brooks a guy like Dustin players that could severely decrease their odds with a great performance this week I think makes a lot of sense to BET right now

But if you don’t have Masters bets in you may as well just wait till Monday when they reset and you get guys 30 points better because these future markets Steve are terrible well they are and also you’re only getting I mean over here in the state in the UK we’re only

Getting six places each way clearly that can be eight 10 12 places as of Monday of next week so you might as well wait to a certain extent I mean if Brooks won this week what what price do you see him going down to I’m seeing over here pric

Is there’s quite a liberal smattering of 20 to one what would that go down to 14 something like that yeah he won this week yeah I don’t I I don’t think that he would be less than ROM so I’d say the minimum he could be is 12 most

Likely 14 or 16 yeah be the fourth favorite yeah yeah that’ be he’d be that four favorite and he he would be that guy as I said that’ be sucked into that 16 to one and under bracket I think kka could be a very very interesting angle

Next uh next year and I think he won didn’t he he won on live the week or the the week or two weeks before he then he then went to austa and was clearly just flying and as he said just couldn’t cope with the pressure on the Sunday John Ram

But with ram having the green jacket on his shoulders that’s just some kind of voodoo maroy who knows you just don’t know what you’re getting with him you know ke could for me is the most likely of the bigger names to actually put up the real fight for Scotty Sheffer so

Steve mentioned Matt that Dustin has the propensity to win the week before a major and ride that momentum into the major did you know with a second place finish this week that Rory will have completed the week before major grand slam of second place finish yeah uh that’s not surprising I remember

Um before the I think it was before the US Open last year where he was like penon as the winner he was six or seven to one because he had just won the previous week and I’d said it feels uh obvious that Rory is going to win one of

These Majors but it’s felt this way in the past and here his finishes each time that’s happened and it hasn’t been all that good coming off a win into a major so I don’t know if that’s helpful or not I do want to add one thing about about

LIV Miami here if you’re into the m in the World of Golf and you care about golf as much as you can hate live which is perfectly fine you should be paying attention this week because last year before the Masters we saw Brooks win in

On a Florida course was a dog track but he won in Florida and then goes and contends at the Masters looks like he’s gonna win the thing Reed everyone says where did he come from he finished fourth that week uh at that Liv Florida event Phil played great at that event

And then he was T4 at the master so if you care about golf if you care about the majors you should be paying attention to what’s going on at Durell yeah I mean I care about winning and I I did kind of mention on yesterday’s show

Like I’m pumped for deral because I like Dural and then Liv gets Adelaide at the end of the month you pay probably far more attention to live than anyone that I interact with Matt but this is the best two event run that they have during the course of their season isn’t it oh

Yeah absolutely and I love I’m excited for this course because we’ve seen the team event in the past which doesn’t really you know didn’t really do it for me um but seeing these guys play one of one of my favorite courses that you know

I wish was still on the PJ tour is is really fun and as someone who has I have a future on cam Smith future on Neiman um I’m try I need to make one more final ad for the Masters so I’m just so excited to see how guys are playing

Because this is what they’re gearing up for their whole offseason their whole schedule the way they approached everything is to gear up for this week so let’s see how they did in doing that uh I just want to Circle back one more Masters thing before we really dig into

Will probably end up being the shifted narrative and obviously we don’t know what he’s going to do at Valero if he wins everyone’s going to be on Rory again let’s say Rory has like a crappy finish here he’s like t37 or something like that or God forbid he misses the

Cut isn’t this the best spot to bet Rory going into the Masters because everyone has just penciled him in to win The Masters each of the past 10 years or so and this is feels like finally the time that people are like calling Rory a loser now because he hasn’t won a major

In so long yeah I think he if he doesn’t f form this week and as we know he does like to win a golf tournament the week before a major um this would be probably one of the the the the years where he’s been the least talked about in terms of actually

Winning the Masters he he’s kind of be going there under the radar you might even find that he’d actually be a bigger price than John Ron which is pretty crazy really thinking about it um but yeah I the trouble with with Rory is he’s pretty unfathomable isn’t he from a

Betting perspective the only thing that that’s great about Rory maroy on a consistent basis and you know this is just a it’s not rocket science is just back him first round leader because you tend to get 20 to1 22 to one each and every week and it tends to come in sort

Of every three to five to six times that he is actually first first round leader so you know first round leader this week first round leader at the Augusta I know people that bet it just automatically and it and it makes money that’s interesting I I remember I

Did that at the I bet him to I think he’s had I think he’s at two already this year Pat he was he the first round leader at the Players this year he was yeah and in Dubai I believe yeah did he end up winning in Dubai or did he win

The other one he won in Dubai so and then of course players he he goes and shoots 75 or whatever the number was on on the Friday but yeah he’s just a firstr leader sort of cash machine when I was uh doing up the rankings and we’re trying to figure out

Where to slot Rory into this mat it it kind be like yeah he doesn’t have great form but he also has a win this year which most of the other top players don’t have and I it kind of boiled down to one thing with me it’s kind of the

Same reason that I kept ROM at number two it’s like I still have faith that he’s going to be really good despite the fact that he hasn’t won since winning last year’s Masters and he’s had some bad I want want to say some bad Sundays uh where he’s been in the leading spot

He he got outd by [ __ ] Tony feno and Mexico last year like what are we doing here with Rah and like the second place finish finish at the open looks really good but he was had no chance to win that tournament he back doored a T2 when
