Listen I’m a panthers fan and yes we do trade our best talent. But burns wanted top 5 edge money and he wasn’t top 5 edge ever but one year of this career. And then we signed a guy for half of what burns got payed to had the same stats. Also over a year ago burns was playing his best football so obviously we were gonna decline taht trade thinking he would continue. Best of luck to burns tho

The Giants are a even dumber franchise in my opinion. They signed Daniel Jones to that extension. They can't develop receivers, they gave up draft capital to get burns…he's very good but they need those draft picks to build their team. They gave up their best offensive player and let two of their best players on defense walk. I'm glad I'm not a Panthers or Giants fan. It must be torture watching them operate the way they do.

The Carolina Panthers have been a lesson in how to completely nosedive an organization these last three seasons. From giving up top 5 RB McCaffrey and top 5 WR Moore to giving up top 5 LB Burns, to selling everything you had to get a pick and then choose the WORST possible #1 QB pick since Russell, it can't be an accident. These are intentionally bad choices.
Blame David Tepper as the owner he has to sit back and let the football guys do their thing all he has to do is sign their checks

Dan Morgan has been making lemonade out of some of the worst lemons I’ve seen in a while. Dating back to Matt rhule. But if they got bakhtiari along with drafting quality receivers, these past few years can be finally over. Sucks that burns is gone but with the draft capital that they had…it was the only option to turn things around.
Here is why this trade was good. First off his contract was expiring and we barely had any time left. We ain't paying a guy who got 8 sacks last season 30m a year. Second off we signed a bunch of other good defensive players and already have good ones too so we are good without him. Third off the panthers are better with less skillful players

Brian Burns wasn't worth 150m everyone in Carolina who watches more than highlights knows that. We essentially got free draft picks for a player that was on the way out the door. Then we signed clowney who was rated higher last year and has more sacks for 1/3 of Burns cost. We are also going to get a pretty good player at 2-7
