That and and yours the blue one I’ve seen a lot of people speculating that there’s going to be some charcoal black SL gray whatever color you want to call it in there but uh this is the color of all the teams draft hats I don’t think it really means

Anything yeah I uh I did see him saying that the players all really liked it and they must have had to sign something because nobody’s talking on Twitter no nobody’s talking about these new jerseys coming out but not even a not even a smidge of insight but I’ll say this I know we’re

Both going to be down there for the Jersey unveil in in in three weeks and um we might have to do a giveaway we might have to do a Detroit Lions Jersey giveaway because they’re going to be selling the brand new jerseys at Ford Field that night we’re GNA try to get

Sealed the deal for us that we’re probably not going to draft we’re probably going to trade back at a minimum I feel like the the maximum pick now is pick 33 just enough just enough to get us out you know to to day two but he long as we do

What’s best for the team and that’s all that matters I might have a good time regardless after the investment I just put in my Airbnb they damn well better pick in the first round because we had to get an Airbnb for the night for two nights actually two and a half if the

Detroit Lions don’t make a pick at 29 I’m going to be very upset from a fan standpoint in a fin in a financial standpoint like I have invested into this night this night and this night alone you guys had better do something in the first round but if they trade back into like

Round two would you be okay with that depending on what we do man if we trade up or if we trade back and we uh we we go grab uh you know two pieces you know I would like it maybe we get uh we trade back but we get an extra second round

Pick or something you know who knows who knows but as we’re getting I think there’s value there there’s a we’ve talked about it a bunch of times when we broke down the numbers all the offensive linemen all of the receivers all of the edge rushers you know all of the quarterbacks there’s

Only so many players that can go in the first round so there’s going to be guys that slide down there yeah absolutely I mean there’s like nine offensive linemen four or five quarterbacks well six or seven wide receivers like someone has to fall So speaking of which you know we’ve

Kind of been talking about a little bit going over this list of um an updated list of formal combined visits and this isn’t a complete list there’s just probably um 12 names on the list that we have right here um there’s a name that

Sticks out to me and I don’t know why I can’t stop looking at it every time I look but the fact that the Lions brought in Kenyan Mitchell for an for an official visit at the combine do you think that that speaks anything I think it’s just them doing their due

Diligence one of the things that I did earlier this morning actually I actually did it a little bit yesterday but I really dug into it this morning was I went at 2023 and I looked at who all we brought in for visits and it kind of tapered me down to what my

Expectations are on guys coming to business because my first thing was like oh because you know I like quinan like oh quinan came for a visit is it uh uh you know but I don’t think it truly means that much sometimes it’s a little bit of deception and a little bit of

Gameplay there and sometimes they do want to get that extra look at a guy to decide if he’s a guy or not so um quinan is a guy that that we would have to trade up to get unless some weird Brian Branch type stuff happens but I just don’t for foresee that happening

Not a chance he falls to 29 we’re going to have to make a move the question is how far does he fall is it somewhere from like 12 to 20 somewhere in that range I think that’s uh that’s Striking Distance for us if he’s if he’s

Somewhere in there I can see Brad making a move if he goes in the top 10 I think he’s kind of uh Untouchable for us at that point yeah yeah I agree real quick we’ll answer this question and then there’s some more names neither of you

Dr and I think he’s a day one starter I think he I think he becomes quarterback too I don’t know man I don’t know you think you think he you don’t think he beats out Meek Robertson I don’t know man I that’s tough to say I I don’t

Because am Meek’s got starting starting history in NFL I always go with those guys that are that already gotten it done in the NFL I think day one’s going to be a Meek um but a after throughout the towards the middle of the Season could I see Koolaid taking it over I

Definitely could but uh day one I gotta go amek is probably gonna be the one that’s out there you think Kool-Aid is considered a shutdown Corner no close no not even close nah n not shutdown I think he’s going to be a solid solid quarterback in the NFL I reserve that shutdown

That that shutdown word man for for just a special and Elite group group of guys man it’s maybe to me maybe one or two that that even get that term you know that right now do you think pul McKenry would be a very very good corner like where’s the

Line at will uh for me I think he I think he’ll be a good Corner in NL um if I had to bet money he wouldn’t be the guy that I was betting money on that I’m I’m saving those for uh Nate Wiggins and uh quinan Mitchell but I think that he’s

Going to be a contributor and he’s gonna be he’s gonna have a solid NFL career um Elite level play or something that that’s that’s special those guys you’re not allowed to touch these guys man it’s hard like it’s it’s it’s a hard ask you can’t touch them and now you can’t even

Tackle them with these new uh drop tackle rules that just got enforced yeah certain areas to that I can only hit you know It’s just tough it’s tough ass for these guys I like how a lot of players in the NFL are kind of voicing their opinion about this drop tackle stuff

Saying that they might as well just put flags on us look they’re all right I think you you can’t really touch guys when the ball’s snapped and now you can’t touch them when they have the ball so what what are these Defenders supposed to do um two-and touch like is

It ruining football in your opinion it’s making it tough man I I get I get there has to be a balance to it um It’s just tough man because you want to have these guys be as safe as possible because even as a season ticket older

Right you don’t want to go to these games and not have the star players be out there so I mean there’s that aspect of it guys continue to get bigger stronger and faster and this game continues to become potentially more violent and they’re trying to do the

Things that they can do to keep players on the field and to make sure that they can enjoy life after football because this is such a short span of their life but there’s also a reason why you’re getting compensated the way you’re getting compensated for playing this

Game so I think it’s a balance and I do think that it does take a little bit away from the the the violence that we want to see on the football field but um I don’t know it it’s some of football like this is the way football has been

Played for years I get it you can’t hit a guy up high because now there’s a possibility of concussion now you can’t hit them low because they might tear an ACL or break their ankle so where are you supposed to hit them what what are you supposed to do especially if you’re

Chasing down a guy how are you supposed to bring down a Defender that you’re chasing from behind you grab onto him and you put your weight down so that he has to carry your weight so that you at least slow him down until your teammates get there it’s just this isn’t football

Anymore I feel like it’s kind of like one of those rules where I’m wondering how much will the refs enforce it um I think it kind of really started to get brought up when Mark Andrews got hurt for the Ravens and he got drop tackled by someone from the Bengals and it broke

His ankle and and that’s kind of what really sparked this conversation so I get it people get hurt I could walk outside and get hit by a car we going to ban cars like it’s just where do we draw the line yeah um I think it’ll be

Interesting uh to see how it goes moving forward if if if this will be a one-year thing that gets ends up getting reversed or if this is going to be a thing that’s set in stone um It’s just tough man it’s tough to find the balance of what that

Line is um I I would like to see too because we get I’m a part of uh a couple different groups that get the videos on like tackling tutorials and you know with the new any any new rule changes and stuff like that and with the the new

Wave or the new age of you know proper tackling is so I’m interested to see like you just mentioned what the new expectation is for tackling guys from behind because if I can’t grab you and drop my weight on you if I can’t grab you by the collar like what’s the I just

Watch you run into the end zone like if I’m behind you can I only run ahead of you and try to like yeah what’s the I’m so I’m interested to see what the what the proper what the proper tackling is going to be from behind now I don’t

Think there’s a good way to do it like you either don’t tackle him and you just give up a touchdown or you tackle him and you give up a 15 yard penalty I think like what you you got to give them the 15 yards right you got to hope for

Like a turnover or something on the next play it’s just kind of it’s just kind of watering down and I’ve heard the NFL be called like the not for long League I’ve also heard it called the no fun League like you can’t celebrate touchdowns hardly anymore you can’t hit people what

Sport are we play in um Athan said that it was uh Rich McKay let put it up here said it’s currently more than likely going to be a fine than a flag so hopefully that’s the players aren’t going to be making plays because they’re gonna say I’m not going to lose money

Over trying to tackle someone you know that’s like you and me going to work and they them saying hey if you do this you’re GNA lose three hours a pay would you do it no yeah strong your job might depend on it yeah strong possibility not

Going to do it oh I like this question but we’re not going to tip our hand too much best player available in round one looks like a wide receiver William it’s it’s tough I think that’s opinion based yeah I’m not getting off my Island I I think best

Player available for the Lions has to be a defensive player I’m just I like talking receivers guards but defense is where we need the most help I think best player of available too you got to I have and this is no exaggeration I have 15 receivers that I like in this draft a

Whole lot 15 that I like a whole lot now five of them are guys that probably aren’t going to be available to us okay but there’s another 10 that that I love so um I I don’t know man but what do I want too I want an edge guy or a

Defensive in is there guys in the middle of the draft that I like at Edge there is so it’s a matter of who do the Detroit Lions love I seen they brought a lot of edges in I see they got a second round Edge to me right that uh that I

Like that they brought in they got a probably a third or fourth round Edge um that they brought in and Javon salivan that I keep mentioning man that had great production out of Troy that I like so uh who knows who knows what route that they’re going to go because if we

Don’t to me we still hav an address our pass rush if we draft a corner at 29 either yep so and I feel like a cornerback is a position that we somewhat have covered in a sense of we have uh Carlton Davis we have aiek and we have uh Emanuel Mosley who got

Injured in the front half of the season so he should be ready you know to to play Early in the season if not right out of the gate so it’s like it it’s a matter of what is the most important position and and best player available for the Detroit Lions not the best

Player player available per Mel hyper and you know the the top 100 rankings you know here’s a question since the NFC championship game with everything that’s happened to the Detroit Lions has the offense gotten better worse or stayed the same in your opinion uh I think we’ve gotten worse really the reason why

I say that is because we lost Josh Reynolds and I feel like there were certain situations that Josh Reynolds helped us out tremendously and I don’t think that signing zitler fixes that now do I think that our offensive line got better or worse I think our offensive line got better you

Know I think zitler replacing Jonah it made us better right I think not having to deal with hodi in Camp you know and his back issues and maybe he’s a starter not a starter knowing that Graham Glascow is going to be our guy knowing that Frank’s gonna be our guy kind of

Knowing what this line Looks like letting these guys Jail from now until when Camp starts I think that made our offensive line better but we gota we got to figure out what this Josh Reynolds situation is and by that I mean is dpj coming in are We drafting a receiver um

That that who whatever that situation is is going to need to take some time to jail where Jared gof so I think at this current moment we’re worse with the potential to end up way better though I think our offense stayed the same and I say that because of we lost Josh

Reynolds but I think we got better on the offensive line when you said so I won’t say it got worse I I’ll call it a push we got worse at wide receiver but we got better on the offensive line and we didn’t lose anything else so I I call

It a push so that kind of leads me into the next question did the defense get better worse or did it stay the same I feel like the defense got better is it good enough to get the job done and get over that NFC Championship PP I would

Say a lot of it just depends on availability if you’re telling me that Marcus Davenport is going to come in and play like a madman I’m gon say yes because I I’ve seen what a meet can do I’ve seen what Carlton Davis can do I

Know what I got in Brian Branch you know I think that Jack Campbell’s only going to come back better I know what I got in DJ reer I know I definitely know what I got in Aiden Hutchinson I know what I got in elen mcneel right so you know

What I mean it’s a matter of Jack Campbell and Salone we know what we got Kirby Joseph we know what we got iy meanu we know what we got so it’s a the only the only real glaring issue that I’m kind of confused and and worried about is Marcus Davenport is he even

Going to be on the field while he’s on the field he had that one season where I think he played 15 games but he had a real lack in production even though that he was out there so what’s he going to look like while he’s out there um or are

We going to see the guy that ran a four or five that was a freak athlete and that was a beast you know so if if that guy comes in and plays like a mad man we’re gonna be an absolute problem so it sounds like and I’m on the same page the

Biggest question mark on this team is is not that that we lost Josh Reynolds we upgraded our offensive line we upgraded the defensive line secondary sounds like the big question mark is Marcus Davenport yeah and it’s not even I hate to even make not not not not his skill

His availability yeah it’s just will he be available man will he be on the field because if he is I think he’s gonna produce man um somebody just said it um and I completely agree I apologize if I miss you um here it is Anthony Anthony or tiham

He said uh reader is gonna make some guys look fantastic man he’s gonna make a lot of other guys look fantastic and I absolutely agree with that reer is going to be a guy that demands a double team man or because if you don’t double team

Him he’s gonna put your guard or your Center in the quarterback’s lap and the opportunity to get one-on-one matchups out there on the edge for whoever is out there at the opposite end of Aiden Hutchinson it’s going to be a problem problem man and if alen comes back the

The same guy or better than he did last year it’s problems it’s problems uh ultimately a pass rush man can can make these our secondary just step step forward to another level and having a little bit of depth there is going to be huge with uh like I said Emanuel Mosley

Coming back so Emanuel Mosley Carlton Davis and meek Robertson I like them and like like Dan said they’re still looking to add a piece in free agency so I think we still add a free agent piece hopefully Steven Gilmore takes a step forward um I think we’re all right we’re sitting

In a decent spot it’s not great but it’s I think we’re sitting in a decent spot I have five players on my list that I think make this team complete especially on defense brillan tce Leu latu Braden Fisk chop Robinson Dallas Turner if we leave the draft with any one of those

Players in the in in the first round pass rushers I think those are the five best pass rushers Jared versus my number one but I don’t think he’s a realistic option let’s just get this out of there because I can see people coming in the comments already Jared versus probably

Not an option unless we move into the top probably 12 so is it possible that Trice or latu are there at 29 yes I think you get that defensive end fix your secondary your defense is brillin Trice El mcneel DJ reer Aiden Hutchinson are you nuts yeah I like Trice man um or

Latu I don’t know that latu is the answer at every down if we’re playing if we’re continuing to play a 4-3 I don’t know that he is the answer every every single down if we’re gonna have a Forefront whether it’s 43 425 if we got a Forefront out there and

We’re not going odd front I don’t know that lat to chop like how are we going to how are we going to manipulate that are we going to start playing more odd front it’s not like it’s something that we can’t do or we don’t do but is that

Going to be our adjustment how are we going to play that um bran T is a little bit bigger um it’s one of the reasons why I really think that we’re really probably gonna go Darius Robinson dare to be to me I’m looking at Darius Robinson or Fisk Fisk is the one

We love Darius Rob Robinson is kind of eh uh one thing that I do like about him and uh hats off to um I give him a shout out Cameron Cod he he mentioned it yesterday reminded me Hometown guy man Darius Robinson so uh HomeTown Story um Detroit Lions fan

Wants to be a Detroit Lion like kind of reminds me of aen huton situation who doesn’t want to be a Detroit Lion I mean it would make sense like everybody should want to be a Detroit Lion but just remembering how Aiden Hutchinson truly wanted to be a Detroit Lion that

Darius Darius Robinson is another one that truly wants to be a Detroit Lion and I keep saying it man as much as I hate to say it the more I watch the film I love his versatility he can play standing up he can play with his hand in

The dirt he can play defensive tackle he can play defensive end and he’s going to come in here I know that he was listed at 285 during the combine but he’s a 300 pound football player he’s gonna play the game at 300 pounds 295 pounds is probably where he’s gonna actually take

His snaps when he’s not trying to run 40 yard dashes dashes or look super athletic like a track athlete and just the thought of having a 300 pound defensive end out there um Aiden Hutchinson being the smallest guy on their defensive line it it it it really excites me what

About I’m kind of not sure where he’s gonna go but chop Robinson is he a is he a top 15 or does he fall to 29 I think if you put him in James Houston role that outside linebacker who can move I think that’s just a missing piece you

Could still have Josh Pascal or John Kaminsky a defensive end and throw him in there so you’re setting that edge and you’re getting a pass rush or you could put him on the same side as Aiden Hutchinson and hey now you have about 1.2 seconds as a quarterback to give rid

Of the ball because chop Robinson is there’s a there’s fast and then there’s chop Robinson fast Steve now you’re speaking my language man and that’s really what the answer is to me there there’s two ways to address this thing to me you can address it at the defensive end position or you can

Address it at our what we call a Sam linebacker position and it’s the position that we played Charles Harrison um the aorus played it a little bit um James Houston um played it a little bit and I think that that’s the true position that uh we we need to address

One of those two Edge or um defensive end and I think that yeah adding a chop to that position um I I could see it but I think latu is kind of the one latu is the one that I think is going to be able to run with running backs out of the

Back field um I like chop I love his speed I love his ability to rush The Edge I haven’t seen him a lot running with running backs releasing or even tight ends releasing um off of that edge so I just wonder what he looks like

Doing that I know he has the speed to do it but can he uh can he cover a guy can he react to uh a guy making moves in front of him hang on real quick yep well [ __ ] I got my opinion on Darius Robinson from YouTube not liking him

Guess I gotta go chance it out look I just don’t when I watch Darius Robinson his film it doesn’t blow me away it’s not overwhelming he’s not if he’s going to be coming here and playing defensive end there there’s some expectations because we’ve been talking about how we need a defensive end since

Like week four of last year so there’s going to be some high high demand for productivity and when I put on his tape and I watch him play against Georgia specifically I almost fell asleep from boredom uh I’m not trying to knock the kid I just don’t see see explosiveness I

Don’t see a game wrecker I don’t see a a game changer at the very least but when I turn on Braden fisk’s film I see a guy who’s in the back field faster than Jared verse but from a different position I watch a guy who goes to the

Combine I watch brayen Fisk stand out at every single D drill while Darius Robinson was kind of like in the middle of the pack in every drill so I put the game tape and I put the combined workouts side by side which one sticks out for me it’s Braden Fisk is Head and

Shoulders Beyond Darius Robinson but the problem is the Detroit Lions signed this is a good problem the Detroit Lions signed DJ reader so our need for a defensive tackle just went down whereas what at the beginning of March we were talking about bra Fisk almost every

Episode but we’ve kind of had to cool the Jets because it’s not a huge position of need anymore so we’re not hating on Darius Robinson it’s just at 29 I think I just need a little bit more if it’s you know if he falls to the second round and we’re picking in

Somewhere in there because of a trade it’s a different story but at 29 I just I don’t know I think there’s a there’s a handful of other guys in that position that I’d probably just rather have than Darius Robinson you know what uh what said uh what is

It who was that was it aan yes um you know what it is about Darius Robinson for me he’s just not wowing he’s a good football player man he’s a good football player but at 29 I I I I want somebody that’s like mind blowing like there’s

Somebody that is going to be immediate impact player and not just an impact but a kind of a quote unquote sexy impact player like I want the lights I want the Aiden Hutchinson I want the glitz I want the glamour but maybe that’s just not the right thing like uh what you’re GNA

Get in that guy is you’re gonna get a guy that’s versatile right if something happens and you need more you need him to play more Edge he’ll be able to do that if something happens and you know maybe Le gets banged up again he’s a guy

That you could bump down to play inside you know so he can play standing up he can play with his hand in the dirt but he doesn’t do any of it to a unbelievable level to where when you turn on a film you’re like whoa wow like

When you watch Fisk it’s like it’s different whoa it’s it’s it’s exciting it’s it’s disruptive it’s but a lot of people are saying that you know D Robinson’s first year playing Edge was last year your first year playing on the edge so a lot of people are saying that it’s it’s

Something that could be potentially down the road for him to where he could fall into or step into that role um we just haven’t seen it yet so it’s it’s it’s a risk and you know risk reward type deal and I just don’t love that at pick 29 um if I’m doing

That if I’m doing that man I’m just trying to no worries uh if I’m doing that I’m just trying to do it in a way that uh it’s in the later rounds you know I’m trying to do that at at at pick two or pick three I’m picking a guy that I

Don’t really know what he’s going to be or what his feeling is in the first round I want a guy that’s gonna make an immediate impact I kind of know what that impact is it’s a day one impact that’s only going to expand so I don’t know if they picked him I would

Understand it but at the end of the day it’s just not the sexy pick for me um we’ve also been talking a lot of receivers and hint hint there’s another uh receiver that we’re talking about that video will be out later tonight it’s recorded it’s uploaded um we’ll

Have that out tonight probably around 7even o’clock a guy that not many people are talking about I’m not going to spill the beans but it’s a steel but for me I’m just telling you I can’t I can’t get off fixing this defense first um I need to come in on Sundays Mondays Thursdays

Saturdays and just know that the defense is going to carry their weight instead of uh you know the the Lions win but you know depends on the defense we get both of these units offense defense special teams top 10 top 15 I I don’t see why

This team can’t go to the Super Bowl we were so close last year we got a little nibble a little taste um what’s going to put us over the hump is it adding a receiver is it adding a corner adding a defensive end I don’t

Know how do you feel about latu man I seen Lloyd doam said hey if he if he falls if latou Falls to 29 run the card up you run can’t get there fast enough you feel that’s how you feel too uh he’s one of probably he’s on my list it just
