[Applause] welcome back to another edition of who’s your caddy presented by blatant golf Chief here uh as always in studio um rolling solo again today because Liam’s battling some bad bad case of vertigo so we miss him hopefully he feels better uh we’re heading full force into uh that
First week in April in this case second week will be the Masters mini Texas swing as the Florida swing ends last week with Peter the wild malady catching uh madg Mitchell who imploded um uh which was good for us uh on the old DraftKings Department unfortunately but
We love Mad Dog uh so it was hard to watch but good in our case uh MC ugh was right there the whole time uh and then he kind of faded off at the end but malady got a great drop I think it was on 17 off that sprinkler head around the
Green and he hung on and battled he’s a Warrior um so big props to him bucket hat yellow ball and everything he’s got a great family and he was on that PGA Tour board and I thought he was still on uh but then in fact he did leave uh
Shortly uh before this tournament as Rory did so um probably would have played him if not because he had been playing pretty nice golf uh so far to start the spring and over the first couple months of the Season out west and then heading into Florida so malady
Capss of valpar and now uh will be you know one eye on Texas the other ey on uh Georgia because Georgia on My Mind is the great Ray Charles one said Masters two weeks from this Thursday we’ll have tea off with Liv PGA everybody back down Magnolia lean for the best sporting

Into this week’s tournament in Texas in Houston uh still got Houston actually my bracket is looking pretty good shockingly uh went pretty chalky but so far there haven’t been a ton of upsets outside of Kentucky when we spoke to you last Coach Cal and the Wildcats got
Clipped in that first round match of vers Oakland um but besides that we’re looking pretty good and it should be a nice sweet 16 listen I like Cinderella and everything uh but it is nice to have a couple good matchups with Yukon Illinois and some other ones heading in
Uh or potential matchups you got North Carolina zone of wildcats we still got our our Wildcat finale as a possibility between the wild cats and the Cougars so looking forward to that but anyway still got some golf to take care of here Valero Texas opens next week but first
We got the Texas Children’s Houston open which used to be the shell Houston open back at Memorial Park big open um municipal course uh just outside of Houston I guess in the Houston city limit still similar green setup that slick overseed Bermuda that we’ve seen over the Florida swing continues on now
Into Texas uh for these two events uh next week sure Cory Connells will be there Rory’s going to be there I think in a change up of his schedule where he had previously played uh uh not the week before the Masters he would have normally played this week but I think
He’s changing up probably a good idea I think he’s got to stay away from Augusta he doesn’t need to be that two weeks ahead of time he knows the course it’s just more added AA and pressure from the media to remind him that he hasn’t won the Green Jacket yet I certainly think
That could change but we still have a couple weeks to think about that have to get through this week first um not going to go through every guy because it’s a pretty big field and there’s not uh I would say it’s pretty topheavy honestly they’ve changed this pricing now on
DraftKings as we always go over top to bottom the best we can um you know this 5,000 range that they’ve introduced uh is interesting but now like half the field is actually I’m looking right now there’s there’s like almost a 100 guys from 7K down so that used to be the
Sicko special range we need to adjust that into the 5K now um because they’ve really they’ve almost completely cut out the seven and 8K range um and you know you have your top tiered guys and you have a ton of guys that they’ve priced really low and maybe that’s because
Scotty Sheffer is playing so well he’s down under three to one to win this tournament now coming off back-to-back wins at the API and the PLAYERS Championship both over Windam Clark interesting enough as he is right below him here so maybe that’s a little narrative Scotty you know obviously has
To get ready for Augusta but um always shows up for Texas events has spoken about how important that is to him so you got to expect he’s still going to play well is he G to go full bore with uh his second Green Jacket insights in
Two weeks while he rests up his injured neck from the players which he still was able to get past and hold on and win on that horrific lip out from Windam I don’t know I think you have to play him he’s going to be 40% owned um in the
Bigger contest but Windam Clark maybe backto back Runner UPS to Scotty I don’t think it’s going to be three for three I think Windam either Clips him uh or neither of them are kind of going one two so we’ll see maybe one of them high high likelihood that one of them is
Going to be there um but my favorite play was going to be it have to has to be this guy for me at least love him I know a lot of the communities on whatever say hit the go 103 great price Houston guy now coming in form look good
At the Players has looked good really throughout this whole spring has really blossomed into an absolute Contender he was also I believe it was T9 last year on his first Trip Around Augusta so siah is playing well he can drive it wherever he wants big open Fairways um this is a
Course for him where he think he can succeed he got the overseed of Bermuda like they had in Waste Management Phoenix where he’s always played well similar type of desert uh Texan track in the lowlands so I I think sah should be Prime to win this week and Willie Z’s right
There too another guy um he’s got some Texas Roots uh so he he could come through kind of let us down a little bit The Players um at least to start uh but you never know with him the guy always shows up for for tough Fields this isn’t
That tough of a field it’s a bit topheavy um again he may have one eye on Augusta as well a guy who has had a runner up there um as well as many other big events so Willie Z just Talent overall um but a guy who has some Dallas
Roots that’s interesting to look at this week I don’t think he’s I’m assuming I’m assuming all the top dogs that are playing this week aren’t playing next week and are heading over to Augusta after this so got Tony fena who’s defending and won pretty comfortably here last year by four
Strokes um you know what he did back toback in Mexico if you want to compare that those big wide open Fairways it’s possible that Tony can repeat here in Houston although I would lean not uh to do that we had was toying between him and cam young last week went a little
More cam young wish he came up to play he had to be devastated after another runner up uh this week kind of surprised to not see him but maybe he just needs to take a little breather not sure if he’s gonna play used uh excuse me next
Week in Dallas or if he’s gonna head straight to Augusta we’ll see um but you know what I just I the way Tony’s playing right now I can’t go back there I’m gonna have to let someone else take it from the top those four guys ahead of
Him Willie Z the hith Clark and Scotty uh I mean I just think I’m GNA be much heavier on them than Tony sew another guy the Korean in Dallas or in Texas in J general is definitely a thing K KJ Choice based there kind of their Idol so
A lot of Koreans usually play well in Texas especially in Dallas so next week keep an eye on that more so but either way got to probably be on him a little bit Jason day’s got three wins in Texas in his career which is very intriguing
To me um kind of up and down starts of the year started off playing nice started off the players last week two weeks ago excuse me pretty nice and then kind of just you know steamrolled relatively steady after that but not great so I don’t know he may kick it
Into gear won the Byron Nelson twice including last year in Dallas so I don’t know it could could be interesting kind of like these guys here I I like a lot of the the guys at top because this top heavy field um despite not loving Tony
You know you got storman Alex noren 9400 wind expert has lurked here before bit pricey uh I don’t know bit pricey but you know do you roll back met dog Mitchell 9200 I am going to roll it back I think he kind of was a bit of a
Surprise uh final round leader heading in he eagled 18 on Saturday obviously I think everyone saw by now that crazy hole out that he had um and he just from the first teot he was left off every T never got in Rhythm and just imploded
From there um but I think he’s going to be rearing to get back to this he was T9 here last time out and it’s had a great Florida swing overall and a great start to the season so I think I think mad dog is gonna be kind of foing at the mouth
Uh like Kujo to maybe get back out here and kind of get some Vengeance from last week at the V bar um hogi TCU horn frog approach wizard he’s back in the field and then you know Bo Hustler lost this on a heartbreaker that year to Ian hter
Uh Ian poter but not playing well um jger you know again up and down had a couple nice starts Aaron rise got a couple nice starts here and coming in pretty nice uh 3 t35s prior to the miscut last week Tough Golf Course though um but two three I gu say three
Out of four tournaments with the t-35 um coming in current form and then two t20s here I like that a lot uh Billy hoe again Bermuda guy back in form gim has been hitting the ball well kyama so bford was on him interesting he played a
Little bit better at the Players kind of up and down starts of the year but again if you want to look at the Phoenix kind of nearby Southwest sort of course setup in the desert with the bermudo overseed he always plays well there so Jake nap
Could get back on him the young man uh the precocious KN fight as Uncle Clyde would call him he’s uh very long off the T and good big wide open Fairways we like that probably going to go continuation play with MC uz again good history here I don’t want to miss that
He’s been playing really well this year striking the ball fine and was really in a deep until the back nine maybe it was 10 or 11 of aspar when he made a couple Bogies then he put one on the water m excuse me made a couple great saves too
But couldn’t hold on so like him uh Taylor Moore the Arkansas Razer back playing pretty nice golf KH Lee again looked good last week really trying to go more on the continuation plays this year Ben Griffin seems to be back in form after last week also played
Well here last year so few of these guys in the mid sevens we like um Taylor Montgomery again long sprays it which might be okay here Romeo reminded me of that earlier today uh and a great on Fast Bermuda difficult greens it’s it’s going to be a tough
Course despite the big open Fairways going to be a bit difficult uh this week so got to keep an eye on that heading down now see there weren’t too many guys to look at there because the 6K range starts again Sammy Ryder the novaks return of the Bobby Mack um playing a
Little bit better now MCN State nearby Louisiana right across the gulf is that the gulf yeah I guess that’s the gulf uh Chandler Phillips nice continuation play two guys here now in the 6K range continuation play um College roommates at Texas A&M Corpus Christie Chandler Phillips with the fum Manu mustache on
His profile picture I gota love that aggressive Gunslinger of the highest order uh really was going at pins all weekend at the V bar so probably going to go continuation on him and cam champ they play together Sunday cam champ 6400 that’s a huge Monday Miss price again I
Know he’s a bit erratic but when he gets into form he usually continues that for a few weeks going back home to Texas now on a big wide open Fairway course where bombers have succeeded in the past it seems like cam champ should be um
Rearing a go for the agie Legend So I think double continuation play on him and Chandler Phillips this week um Sam Stevens thought about it just couldn’t pull the trigger again I just I I think I like going continuation with champ crazy Carl Juan he had three chip-ins
Just on Sunday of VB bar Insanity to me you know still playing pretty well but I I like Matty schme better lot better 6300 very impressed with this young man hits it a mile um has puted great so far on these slick overseed Bermuda green so I think you gotta roll with the
Continuation play on him honestly he’s been playing too well not to um pan just withdrew this morning Max graser nice player out of Duke New Jersey kid I’m gonna probably wait though again I just really like Matty schme on the continuation play and if you know me you
Know that the sio special of the week is not undoubtedly and will be next week too Ryan coach Taylor Palmer Clear Eyes Full Hearts can’t lose uh Mr Texas until Scotty took that title but still always plays well it seems in Texas just missing has had a few nice routs uh this
Year but just can’t put it all together it seems maybe a little home cooking is all that coach Taylor needs this week um so can’t miss out on him just a light sprinkle at sub five% easily even with his Texas history um I think he could he
Could na be at least a T30 U maybe better depending on how the wind blows over the weekend assuming he gets there of course and then just a few more guys who were playing well Nate Lashley obviously saw I think he was in the second or third to final group with
Scotty at the Players ended up with a nice T20 Hayden Springer another TCU horn frog uh coming in playing some nice golf Uncle Marty L has had a Resurgence since the Phoenix Desert too so got to keep an eye on him Michael Kim playing really well was there last week at the V
Bar shown he can score well into the deep 20s I think he won John Deere last year I think it was maybe um obviously a great presence on the Twitter verse and um but just playing good golf this year so far and then a guy that was in a very
Special lineup last week uh Dylan woo 6100 continuation play again he killed us at the API when he was our top Hammer of the week um but then came back and had a nice t35 at the Players so redeemed himself a bit and then had
Another T20 I think it was last week uh the V bar he was up there um and again 1% owned 6,100 for Dylan woo so I think I I’m going to have to go back to him last few guys bottom of this range here norlander metrics are off the chart
Good win player um has those Georgia ties to the southern Bermuda so we like that Parker Cy Parker and Pearson both the Cy Brothers I think Pearson’s in the field um let’s see no uh yeah they are actually they are both Cole Hammer a lot of the Old Texas Longhorns are going to
Be playing playing these next two weeks but I need these guys to be in better form in just okay form Rico Hoy another guy um playing nice USC guy pretty good soer Ben was on him there’s a lot of guys here in this 5K range you can make
Somewhat of a case for Sam Bennett is back obviously contended at Augusta last year local ties Davis Riley same for him but just I just need the guys to be coming in a little bit hotter Mac Meisner has been playing some night scoff SMU St um he’s probably as low as
I can go actually no there’s there’s there’s three more guys and see this 5K range is enormous there’s got to be like 70 80 players in the 5K range here which is kind of shocking to me it’s it’s a bunch much different let’s see I’ll tell
You right now how many of there are there’s uh yeah 67 players 5900 and down which is so different in the past um so you got to adjust few other guys Martin trainer is coming in scalish fashion uh some corn Ferry some PGA very interesting for a guy like that um with
Some Texas roots and Tyson Alexander are boy T-Rex who we’ve been peppering Billy CO’s Kyle Drew mate of course in Gainesville T5 here is first and only try I think he was actually may been a runner co- runner up in this event uh so that could make him a little popular but
He has back-to-back corn fairy tour wins in Texas too so I don’t know is it too good to be true for Tyson it could be and then last guy here uh well of course we got Uncle Jimmy ribi Walker at 5000 and DOW vanderwal an absolute
Legend of the highest order in on a sponsor invite he’s got a T20 here I again don’t think I’ll get there just had to mention him for all time sake uh but Austin cook 5200 snuck in the field after a couple of WDS very interesting uh very interesting
For cookie you know has played well won the Southwest um he’s got a nice record here and he has a recent T10 um so again for sub 1% ownership he’ll probably be like0 five Austin cook could be a nice pivot if Tyson gets a little too popular
At 5300 for his runner up here so just some names to think about in the bottom a lot of interesting names here but difficult course tough week in Houston we’ll see uh we’ll see if they can get that houon cougar energy to come through here and have Mr Texas Scotty take over
Maybe it’ll be someone else I don’t know we’ll see interesting guys have their eyes on Augusta that top 50 uh in the world is very important for securing and he got two weeks left we’ve seen guys like Cory Connors win at Valero uh and get his invite assured for the Masters
In two weeks time now so few more days left in March here in New York warm weather is on the way the flowers are blooming down Magnolia Lane in Augusta for sure but uh let’s just say to enjoy the week this week follow along on Twitter as always at blading go I’m
