Ronnie you apologized for how you played against Barry Hawkins there was absolutely no need to apologize this afternoon wasn’t that magnificent um yeah well um I just I just heard what Steve Davis said he said like he said I shouldn’t try and entertain the crowd but I I never have tried to entertain

The crowd I’ve just always tried to go out there and play snooker the way I know I can and if the crowd enjoyed that then um but that’s never been my sort of philosophy you know I just like to play the game well and if I don’t play it

Well then I get quite frustrated but the start of the match was uh it wasn’t you know there a few mistakes but then I got a you know I cleaned it up a little bit you know um and I need to do that these days because I can’t pot as well as

These guys but I can I can make good breaks amongst the balls and you know um make up for it that way so um yeah I I play listen I won the match you certainly did and now an opportunity to become the oldest as well as the youngest winner of the Masters

Just as you did at the UK last month yeah I don’t feel that old I mean I feel I feel I know my ages but I feel young in my mind I feel young when I’m around the table I feel a lot younger to around the table than I do when I’m playing

These young players right they look old the way they you know their brains are quite slow so for me um I still feel like my brain’s pretty quick around a snooker tail which is which is enough you know so um yeah they need to get their act together cuz I’m going blind I

Got a dodg arm and bad knees they still can’t beat me you’ve still got it ladies and gentlemen you’ll see the rocket tomorrow in the final hi I’m mon Sullivan and welcome to euros Sports snooker on YouTube click here to subscribe to euros Sports snooker

  1. Can't he just win stuff without insulting others … Would be nice if he just concentrates on himself

  2. The wheel always turns Ronnie, never let yourself wide open, some day a young lad will wipe the table with you and you will be made eat your words

  3. When you can "read the table to the end" before you get down on your first shot that shows just how good and fast Ronnie's brain is around the snooker table I've only ever seen one other player who could do this and that was the late great Ray Reardon Even Stephen Hendry could only "read" half a dozen shots ahead and we all know how good he was in his prime

  4. Ronnie is my mate. We've grown up playing snooker. I've beat him a few times. But he is really good, I've trained with him for years. He's been playing since the age of 2. He wanted to be an insurance salesman not I told him no ronz. (That's what his close mates call him) I says no ronz. You must follow your heart. And he says ok. The next year he went pro.
The rest is history. So I'm kind of responsible for it too.
We meet up every week for a coffee and a catch up. He's a top bloke, very down to earth. Loves a bit of banter.

  5. The personality of a brick.. Ok he can put wee balls in wee holes with a stick but God all mighty he's a boring individual.. YAWN….

  6. lol what a legend.
He's right though. I prefer watching the old timers.
These newer players are too slow.

  7. Snooker is within reason an ageless and genderless sport….. Ronnie could dominate for another 20 years atleast yet. The only deciding factor is his health and his ambition, which I hope both remain in good shape. Sports need characters, and there is so few about these days.

  8. Showing the young guys how its done! It'll be a sad day for snooker the day he decides to retire. The only player that i can think of that actually plays nearly as entertaining snooker as Ronnie is Luca Brecel.

  9. It's because of all the technology and screen time. It messes up your mind and eyesight
