Good evening everyone, and welcome to the finals of the final day of our Division three national championship in swimming and diving certainly has been a wonderful meet so far . I don’t expect it to change at all this evening. There’s plenty at stake right now for the team championships. On the men’s
Side, Emory would seem to have things well in hand. 55 points up on Kenyon, but Chicago was only eight back of Kenyon and 47.5 back or so to Williams. And then 208 to New York. On the women’s side, where it really gets interesting with Kenyon at 315, Denison at 312, NYU at 299,
Williams at 277, and MIT at 243. I do know that Denison is going to get a leg up in the diving women’s three meter will be finishing tonight, and tonight we will start with the 1650s. The faster heats of the long event, then the 100 yard freestyle, 200 yard backstroke,
200 yard breaststroke, the women’s three meter and then the 400 freestyle relays. Before we cut to the swimming. I do want to recognize the expertise that is behind this broadcast in the part of Tupelo Honey. My producer has been Ann Hanna, the director is Alan Hughes, and the cameramen are Ivan Pacheco,
Galen Slattery, and Jeff Irvin. We got some crowd involved here, a bunch of, shirtless young men. But maybe not so young now that I look. In any event, on the deck, the people that have kept the meat running smoothly and fairly, R.J. Van Orman has been the head referee. Lucy Duncan,
His assistant. The head starter is Rob Stevens and the assistant starter, Rebecca Thomas. The stroke and turn judges have been Tara maxey, Thomas Donahue, Scott Morrison and Shauna Tobin, and I would be remiss if I didn’t get a shout out to Michelle Chaffin, the maven that oversees all of the information
Processing before the meet and during the meet. All the information I have comes from her invited list, and then the seedings for tonight and the standings and so forth and so on . So Michelle has been doing this for quite some time, and Division three has been lucky to
Have her for the last 30 some years. And I see now that the finalists are marching out for the 1650, this will be the men’s 1650 first. Here are the top eight qualify for in lane one. Paul Lederman A fifth year at Cal Lutheran. He’s from Westlake Village, California, majoring in
History with a minor in education. Here. Next to him in lane two, that is Connor Vincent of New York in Lane number one. He was third in the 500 on Wednesday. He has been fourth and third in this event. Previously He’s from Irvington, New York, and he majors in
Business, was third last year in this event. Connor Vincent. And we move to lane three with Lucas Lang of Claremont Mudd, Scripps. He has been runner up and fifth in this event previously. Lucas he’s from Dallas, Texas and majoring in engineering in the number four. Your two and four
Is our two time defending champion, Kellen Roddy. He’s also been a championship finalist three times in the 500, including this year. He’s from Cincinnati and majoring in engineering for Johns Hopkins. Carter Anderson. Carter Anderson of Williams is in five. He’s from Ithaca, New York. Tufts he was fifth in the 500 free on
Wednesday. Rockford Shafi and Lane six is lane number seven. Rafi Shafi. He was fifth in the 500 on Wednesday. A freshman at Tufts. He’s from Dubai and your final from United Arab Emirates and is majoring in engineering in lane seven. Lucas Conrad’s junior at Denison, he has been
Eighth in the 500 this meet 15 in the 4 a.m. and has been 10th and eighth in this event previously. Finally Gavin Foreman of Tcnj is in lane eight. He’s from Gillette, new Jersey, majoring in economics . Your top performance from this morning was Luke Landis of Denison. And Luke was 1523 .17.
As a reminder, this is a timed final event with all the times compared against each other to determine your final placement. Now your leader again, Luke Landis from Denison 15 2317. Your NCAA record. 40.37 for Vincent next to him. Lang of CMS, the 50.53 at the first Hunter for 2023 winner. Kellen
Roddy in lane number four from Johns Hopkins. He was 15 1586 last year. Our national record is Arthur Conover’s from Kenyon, who set it in December of 16 with a 1456 44. The meet record is also conover’s. The following March 14th 5956. Last year’s winner went 1515. In that would
Be Kellen Roddy, who was in lane four here. And Vincent is over and a one 4461 for his first 200. Vincent of NYU leading the field as a comparison. Landis 148 seven. This morning Landis had a great second half of his performance. For these all of these swimmers probably looking to go somewhere
Between 55 and 56 for 156 for 100. Puts them right at Landis his time in order to beat that performance, they will need to go under 56 per 100, to go under 15, 23. That’s still Connor Vincent out in front. Lucas Lang of CMS in three returned second the lead right now. Portland
State about 10.7 seconds. Kansas Truman State Vincent towards 400 yards has certainly gone out aggressively. Lucas Lang will be coming up to the 400 wall here. He’s got a Sharpie in six four seconds or so. 3 to 4 seconds on his closest pursuers. Three 3456 at the 400 for Vincent at the 400,
Just about three seconds ahead of the pace by Landis. That was a right about 150 flat for his second 200. Close race for second. Right now, Vincent right out among Lang of CMS. Roddy for Hopkins and three in lane six. Chafee for Tufts Chafee, the only freshman in this field .
Coming up on 500 yards. For 330 .07 at the 500. That’s moving right along. About seven seconds ahead of Landis time at this point at 500 yards, averaging 54 would push him underneath 15 minutes and certainly put him within range of Conover’s record . Still a ways to go, though.
He’s reaching the one third mark over in four 5790. Were he to maintain that he would indeed be somewhere around the 1455, out in front by about 4.5 seconds as he approaches 600 yards? 600 2569. His last 200. That was a one 5113 per 100. St. Olaf Wiederman won lang in two and
Three. Roddy in four, and Chafee in six. All together. And moving up now in five. That’s Carter Anderson of Williams and in seven. Lucas Conrad’s of Denison and Conover said his record he was in a good race with Andrew Greenhall of Hopkins, which he’d had at nationals in both the 516
50 and if memory serves that year, he set the 1456 Grinnell was also there at the Kenyon December taper meet . The lead for Vincent, still just under. He continues to grow here. Lucas Lang of CMS moving in to now. Lang has half a body length on Roddy, and Roddy
Himself, less than half body length on Chafee at Chaffey’s feet is Denison’s Lucas Conrad’s . To the 800. Seven 1893 yards. That’s Vincent 718. So he tailed off there in that last 200. He. That was a one 5324. Now the question becomes if Roddy or Lang or Chafee or Conrad’s Navy
Can go out and get him. Lucas Lang in three a fastest split Omaha Carlow. He’s gradually getting out. He’s also moving up in lane number seven. That’s Lucas Conrad’s from Tennessee Louis on May 28th. On the last 50 out as well. Now 25 for 50 Lane a couple seconds faster
Than that. And Conrad’s again. Staten Island Tennessee. Conrad’s with your fastest 50. Four. And then still about 4.2 seconds for Bonaventure, NY USD per 1000 yards. The sprint for Landis at 1900 1908 nine 1908 Brandeis to the thousand yards. Nine 1288 O’Connor, Vincent. So, Vincent, your top four swimmers
Just ahead of that pace. Oh Lang cutting into that. So he has a 3.5 second lead on Lang. And Roddy another 2.03 seconds on top of that. And it looks so Conrad’s now has moved into third just to a little bit in front of Roddy. Vincent’s fifth
200 was just a touch under 154. So he does continue to slow. And meanwhile now Lang is coming up on him. Lane seven. That’s Lucas Conrad’s of Denison. That was the. 1100 mark. So two thirds of the way there with Connor, he was 1009. Conrad’s that time in lane seven. That predicts
Something more along the lines of 15, 15 to 1520. We’ll see if he can even maintain that. He has been fading slightly with every passing 200. And the meantime, Lang is now up to his feet. Conrad’s now is a full body length plus in front of Roddy by about 410 down 50 as
They approach 12 and will be coming up to the 1200 here as Lang. Now is only a half body length back. Lang now just 5/10 of a second behind. Still with the fastest split so far. So Roddy’s. Last 200 A 154. That’s where we are right now. 15 Lang
And Lang was a one 5117 and sure enough, they are now face to face. Conrad with the second fastest 50. Overall. Vincent. Digging in, trying to stay with Lang. Just our third swimmer right now. Conrad’s is now a half second behind Lang. And several seconds back to Lucas. Conrad’s out there in
Lane seven. Now, with 300 yards remaining. Vincent and Lang, the same split for that 50. And this will be the 1400 upcoming to move up. And seven Rockford fall out of Denison. Continuing to move up half fighting lengths for Lang. He’s over in 13. Double. Oh 8.2 13 0102 for.
Vincent and. Conrad’s several seconds back at least, but Vincent is not giving up easily, is he? Still hanging tough. This will be our 1500 coming up as they approach 1500 Maryland Eastern Shore three for 14. It’s flat. At 1500. At the 1500, 13, 55, 93. For Lang. Almost a full
Second back. Now to Connor. Vincent Lane oh seven. They both have somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 or 6 yards and Lucas Conrad so it does appear that Lang and Vincent will be vying for the victory. The difference now about a full body length. Conrad’s fairly clean in
Third. The race for fourth right now, Roddy and four. And in five. Williams, Carter, Anderson. They turn to gether, only separated by 6/100. Shake it up now here we come to the bell lap. It’s still that body length. Vincent hasn’t gone away quietly. Moving up. Cedarville and Princeton kicking
It in. Oh, you almost never see. Now, now Lang senses him and sprints. Lang And it is by 7/100 of a second. What a wonderful race. Conrad’s home in third with a 1522. Carter Anderson with a big kick, crops Roddy for fourth. Roddy will be fifth. Conrad’s clearly quite happy
With that. 1522 and certainly the Denison contingent over my right shoulder here is as well. What a great race. Separated by 7/100 of a second. That’s definitely a highlight film champion in the 16th 50. And Lucas Lang of the CMS. 15 1748. Congratulations, Lucas Lucas of Denison, his time with Whitman
First overall. Congratulations to you. This. This. Event 31 women 1650. That’s our final heat. I. Can you move them ? Here is your final heat win in 1650. And Lane number one, a senior from Emory. She was 12th in this event last year. Sloane Donovan. In lane number two. A
Sophomore from Kenyon, eighth in this event last year. Molly Hayes. Lane number three in lane one. Sloane Donovan of Emory. She’s from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Molly Haig, a sophomore at Kenyon is in lane two. She is from Middleton, Wisconsin. Ninth in the 500 on Wednesday night. Champion Kristen Cornish in lane
Three. Lily Codd of Williams New Canaan, Connecticut, playing for our two time defending champion like a teammate, was Johns Hopkins Kristen Cornish. She’s a junior from Denison, Bengisu James, a freshman at Kenyon from Istanbul, Turkey, is in lane five. She won the 500 on Wednesday night. Taryn Weisner,
Junior at Denison in lane six. She has been second twice in this event. She’s from Syracuse, New York, majoring in psychology. Last year, Tara Quinn, Brown, sophomore at Denison, is in seven from Portland, Oregon, also a biology major. And finally, Tara Wittkowski of Denison is in eight. She’s from West Chester, Ohio. She’s.
Quincy seed time is right about minute. Pace Jarmusch’s for seconds behind that. So minute point two five or so. Your NCAA record in this event from 2015. Sarah Thompson of Williams in 16 2144. During 2023. Winner Kristen Cornish. She’s in the number four right now. She went
16, 29, 78 last year. Your top performer this morning was Caitlin Marshall of NYU. Katelynn’s performance was 16, 4199. Again, that was Caitlin Marshall of NYU, 1641 99. Point. Oh, now we’re at the 200 and J. Mark has made a move already in that last 50. She’s over in a
One 5446. One 5545 for Cornish . That’s Seamus of Kenyon. Your 500 freestyle champion. Out in front. For these athletes to surpass the time of Caitlin Marshall don’t need to go. Jay Marsh now with a clear lead. Cornish back about three four yards. Post race for second. Right now. Williams lily card in
Three and Kenyans Molly Hague and two and right with Hague this Emory Sloane, Donovan. And the Denison contingent in six, seven and eight are really not all that far off the pace . At the 40 yard mark, Norwich three eight 8240. The time to beat here is a 1641 99 swum by
Caitlin Marshall of NYU, and it jumps to Jada Cheetahs, 1652 28 for Emory. For 400 on the rest of the field, Jay Marsh was still averaging under minute pace, three 5862. There. Is my error. I think that was more around the 354. 15 Montana. And Jay Marsh, approaching the
500. 454. 94. 90. So she is right at minute pace. Five corner, still second, but now up at corner six. Hip is lily card for Williams. 555 2509 well, if you multiply that by three, you get a 1615. That’s unlikely, but still, the way she’s going here,
I think she might end up under minute Pace. We’ll find out. To the 600. 555. 51. 44. 55. Three. I’m not sure that 500 time would have been in the top eight on Wednesday. Card and Cornish face to face. But they’re nearly a half pool length behind Jay Marsh. Molly
Hague in fourth, but she’s right there with Denison’s Quinn Brown and Tara Witkowsky and seven and eight. And at their feet is Taryn Weisner, their teammate. Charlotte LaGrange. Bard. 600. 101 Northeastern DePaul. You capacity for Quinn. Lander. Kent State. Georgetown Northeastern State . 354 one Duke. Washington State.
And then. And to the 800 for Jay Marsh, who is swimming away with this one at the moment? 757. 16. So. A201 65 about fourth, 200. Still a healthy lead and still under minute pace. Card now has about a body length on Cornish. Is 40 Tiffin Marshall looks as
Though the duo from Denison, Quinn and Wittkowski are over just a little bit. In front of Donovan and Hague. 858 at the 900. Card continues to draw away from Cornish. Certainly Cornish didn’t have the best 500 of her life. On Wednesday. Stockton. Virginia State eight. Washington and Lee. Carthage Both of Tennessee .
John Carroll. And we’re at the thousand for Jay Marsh again. A half pool length back to card nine 5899. 202 83 for that fifth, 200. But unless she drastically slows, I can’t see anyone. Catching her card, though, is a very solid second in the moment. Cornish. I think,
Is the one with the most to worry about because that Denison pair in seven and eight Brown and Wittkowski had been moving up on her steadily, and Hagen two. Is also not far behind the Denison duo. Donovan has dropped back a little bit in lane one in. 11 minutes flat. But. For 1100
Mark. So that was a lot about A101 flat. Carlow. Cal State Dominguez Hills for seven and a half. Second. Lead And Bridgewater State the first 12 zero. And now to the 1200 for Benghazi. Jay Marsh in trouble, 128. Oh one. Right. About 1012 for that 12th. 100. So she is
Slowing ever so slightly, but certainly not to the point where she is threatened for the lead . For And to the 1300. For Jay Marsh. 1302. 18. 00.9 on that 13th, 100. Number eight card is seven plus seconds behind. Corner several seconds behind her. And it looks as though
Wittkowski in lane eight has now come up and she is, from my perspective, well within a body length. As a matter of fact, it looks like she’s almost even with Kristen Cornish. So a little behind. Oswego State. To the 1400 for Jay Marsh. 1403 28. 10110 for her 14th hundred. Now.
For. Lily card of Williams is a solid second. Cornish turns just in front of Wittkowski. So Cornish still third with Kentucky for fourth. Excuse me. And Hague of Kenyon fifth. And she has a little of a body length from the look of it on Quinn Brown, the sophomore at
Denison in 907. That was the 1500, a 1504 43. 101.15. And the 15th, 100. Proceed. Time. I’m talking about Jay Marsh with 1634, 52. Looks like she’ll be right about that same time. A little bit of a kick. Hunter remaining. Card over. Kristen Cornish over. Wittkowski over. Hague over. Brown over.
Shepherd. Bryn Athyn. And then Wisner. Unless the turn at the 1500. Donovan for Emory. And pretty much everybody’s on that grass lap. Only Donovan was slapped by Jay Marsh, 1634 67. Again. Her seed time is a 1634 52 consistent. Cornish kicked it in in that last hundred and held
Off with Kowski. 1634 6716 4152 for lily cod. And that is just a touch in front of Caitlin Marshall. So Marshall will be third then. 1645 15 for corner that will place her. Fourth and fourth in that heat with Kowski 1646 62. That will place her fifth overall. Rice Brevard Sweet Briar .
Results. In the results of your men’s 1650 event, number 30. In 16 from Washu. Ryan, Hillary. In 15 from Kenyon Maxwell. Nonnenmacher In 14 from Case Western. Peter Main, 13th from Tcnj. Very tight women’s competition, Kenyon still leads 349 to Denison. 344. New York has 315 and Williams 300. Looks like Brooks of Kenyon might have a slight edge at that 75. And now closing in six. This his teammate Crookneck swimming well in one is Ben Caton. And it is crookneck at 4432 4444 40
Flat for Daniel Brooks. His teammate Ben Caton close for third, 4451. And one for. It is now time to meet your championship finalist in the men’s 100 yard freestyle. Ole Miss . We want to see you to pick up a consolation prize in Stanislaus State. Here in lane one will be

Emory Lane seven third and the 59th in the 200 freestyle. Here’s that acknowledgment. And in lane eight, Sebastian Burn, his junior at Chicago from Brooklyn,
New York, a physics major. 4313 for Boca this morning. So that 4298 of Oliver Smith six years old. Now it’s not out of reach. Not certainly not from Jakovlevich. I think. Dobrich. And McKinney. Certainly has a strong back half in his races. Fairfield turns together. Wow. Could almost draw a line across
Him as they hit the 50. It’s jakovlevich over. First he was in a 20.59 23/100 up on McChesney. Wow And now closing is a bocce Nikolaevich McChesney to close to meet a call. And it is to bulovic a 4326 McChesney second 4336 and over a bocce third with a 4338.
Fourth there with a 4367, was Nick Goudy. If that might be his personal best, I would think it’s close to it. Wonderful race. Little hug between competitors. There. Into the Swarthmore. Geneva Bowdoin. And now he has moved to the consolation final for the women’s 100. But a gridley at
Hope and Elon. Janine Collins, a freshman at sophomore and two. Nia Yancy of Gettysburg and three Grace Kadlecik of Denison. And four. She was ninth in the 51 stay. Sydney Smith, a freshman at MIT, is in five. She was seventh in 100 backstroke. Sabrina Wang, sophomore, Pomona-pitzer is in six. Lucy
Smith, freshman at Amherst, is in seven. She was 14th in 100 butterfly Thursday and Francesca Coppo, freshman at Pomona. Pitzer earned her way into this field by winning the swim off this morning. Just slightly witness a few minutes ago. Field is basically even a leader is 24. 29 by
Janine Collins. Certainly not a great lead for her. And let’s see if anybody holds a walls very well. No Oh, even it looks to me like the edge now in seven but now closing. Well in three for Gettysburg. And indeed Yancy of Gettysburg takes it a nice
Surge in that last half a length 50.75 5110 for Collins and third 5125 for Sydney Smith of MIT . It is now time to meet your championship finalist in the women’s Hunter Lawrence inside. Guilford. Sioux Falls. Toledo for a sophomore. He Hartford and Lane one for Kenyon. Sophomore for Lisa Torrecillas. Duke. She

Cudney of Tufts in six tied for fifth in the 50 Wednesday. Valerie Mello of Pomona. Pitzer is in lane seven. She’s from Washington, D.C. Consolation finalist in the 50 and rounding out the field for Trinity University. Freshman Amy Benson, 12th in the 50 on Wednesday night from Newmarket, New
Hampshire. From Trinity, a 10th Chowan. Houston. William Paterson. Rider Natalie . McKay Grand. Chaminade and. Looks to be cuddly at the 50. No. It’s McIntyre at 23. 47. Bethany’s 2355. Wow. McIntyre surging forward. And McIntyre swimming away from everyone. She’ll have a body length on Turvey at the finish. What is
The time? Wondering if that will be a new national record. And it is a 4879 for. Star at least of the women’s meet. And that is saying something considering how many great swimmers there are down there. Wow. Kaylee McIntyre, with her second national record of the meet, a 4879 breaking Kendra Stern’s
Record by just about 2/10 of a second runner up was Turvey at 4956 and third at 50.09. The early leader, Jillian Cudney of Tufts. Here are the consolation results from event 32. , freshman at Emory, is in lane four. Adam Braunschweig of Emory in five. Claremont-mudd-scripps Anderson Brasil is in six. He was 10th in the 200 freestyle. On Tuesday, Sul Ross State and Bryce Lloyd of Johns Hopkins and seven eburon of NYU in eight. Weber State on scored in both IMS at this meet.
After the women’s event. Last. That’s after that women’s event. Kenyon’s lead is now 13, but. Denison will have two divers in the top eight and has already had a diver finished 10th. So. It may come down to the last relay. And even at that, that may not be enough for Kenyon
Braunschweig. 30 out of the 2460 was Braunschweig of Emory. On track. Still leading and moving up on him in lane three is Hahn of New York, and next to Hahn and two manski of Kenyon. And as they approached the 125, it is Braunschweig, with Hahn and Minsky right there and now
Moving up into the mix as Graham Zucker, the freshman of Henry. From Brazil and Lloyd of CMS and Hopkins are in it. Anybody’s race as they head to the final 50. And did the best in terms of holding his distance off the wall. And moving very well in lanes two and seven. Osmanski
And Lloyd. Tough to call in one. There’s an indeed. Pollock closes for Emory at one 4741 to take it out of lane one. A one 4760 from Manski of Kenyon, and two and third to Lloyd of Johns Hopkins, with a one 4780 out there in lane seven. Alex. Nicely. Bard Championship
Finalist in Men’s 200 yards backstroke . University of Louisiana Monroe. Walsh. Kenyon. Coker and now to our championship finalist in Lane one. Eric one. Graham of Tufts 15 and 100 backstroke last night. He’s from Fairfax, Virginia and majors in biology next to him is Kyle Wolford, senior at wash U, ninth in 100
Backstroke. He’s from Batavia, Illinois, and the mechanical engineering major for Calvin in three. David Bosworth. He scored twice in this meet at the 50 and 100 backstroke. He’s from Bethesda, Maryland. Yuriko’s Elon of Kenyon and Odessa, Ukraine is in for fifth and 100. Back last night. McCormick of Washington in five. He has
Scored in the two Im and 100 backstroke. He’s from Johnson City, Tennessee and majors and administration Ryan Higgins of Tcnj. Is in lane six. He is from River edge, new Jersey and he majors in mathematics. Ryan SUNY Brockport of Emory swimming his final event at nationals as an individual, at least. He has
Been fifth in 100 fly, 11th and 100 backstroke here. He’s from Arlington, Virginia, and Brayden Morford, a freshman at Carnegie Mellon, rounds out the field. He has been a championship finalist in both the two Im and 100 backstroke. Here, he’s from Medina, Ohio, and majors in engineering. And you would think
Kozan is glad to not see Tanner filling in here. He’s our record holder. And if memory serves, Kozan. The second 2 in 2 years running and last year or the year before was actually under the old record himself. Johns Hopkins . And at the 50. Kozy. And it’s
Over. First with a 2342. Coker at the 75. Kozan. With just a touch of a lead over McCormick in five. Swimming. Well is also Ryan. So for Emory in lane seven. At the hundred Kazan still leading over McCormick. And so. Now the second Saint Anselm. Mars Hill drops back and
This turns into a head to head race. As they reach the 150. Looks like Curzon has an ever so slight lead. One 1595 to 1 1616. And cozying up first. McCormick. Held that law well. And now McCormick surging. And it looks as though it will be Alex McCormick with a one 4340.
Cozying at one 4392. And third. One 4535 for Kyle Warford, McCormick’s teammate . It is now. 922, 45, 35 and Worcester State Goucher in one of our leaders on the men’s side, I see the score posted at 370 for Emory Kenyon at 347. Chicago third, 275. So there are
Ways back. Looks like Capps in the top five. The only question mark would be Emory and Kenyon Emory with a 23 point lead. At this stage. And that is through the recently completed 200 backstroke. Brown Walsh through physical Orientalni. Norwich Mount St. Mary’s. Hartford Not only . Your And this consolation final
Of the women’s 200 backstroke. Calista Lynch, freshman at NYU, is in one. Nicole Grinnell, a sophomore at NYU and two. She has been championship finalist in both the 200 freestyle and 200 butterflies. Here. Jasmine Park of Denison in three, Emily Harris of Denison and four. She was runner up in the 200
Freestyle and third in the 200 butterfly. Last night. Jane Sanderson of Emory in five, Sarah Klaus of Hope in six, Elizabeth Pennington of Rowan in seven, and Isabella Barrientos of Wash U is in lane eight. And as they head to the hundred, looks like Barrientos and Pennington are in the lead in
Lane seven and 8 or 8 and seven. I guess I’d say. And it is Pennington at 58, 79, 58, 99 for Barrientos third. Right there, Nicole Romero 5907 and Park 5924 at Wentworth 510. The number of cases are broken for now. Pennington gets a half body length getting herself back into
The mix here as Sarah Klaus in lane six for Hope. And the field evening up slightly, but Pennington right now seems to be having a very strong swim. She’s not coming back to anyone at this point. Cross over first at the 175. A mistake that was Pennington with Klaus chasing.
And Kraus is closing in. On the cycle, I think Klaus ran out of room. She did. Pennington 2A1 11 Kraus was 201 35 and third 201 85 to Emily Harris of the Big Red. Great race. Concord Baylor. It is now time to New York. Championship finals in women’s 200 yards backstroke.
Indiana. UMass Lowell. And in this championship final, Izzy Huang, sophomore, Emory and 100 backstroke. Last night. She from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in two semifinal. That lone entrant from Austin College. He’s from Keller, Texas, majoring in English with a minor in education. The MIT Augustana (South Dakota) was in three from Wisconsin-Eau Claire Wisconsin a
Biola junior major Sophia MacLaren of Williams in for Horseheads, New York. Kaylee Wojcik of Kenyon in five. She’s from Needham, mass. With sixth in the 100 backstroke. Savannah Zhou of Carnegie Mellon in six. She’s from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, majoring in information systems. Megan Young Harris of Emory in seven. And
Madison Hartford of Avon, Connecticut, and Tufts in Lane eight. In Lane six, a sophomore from Carnegie Mellon, she was six last Barry. And one Ursuline senior from Emory. That’s a nice smile and wave from Jungers. And the best sophomore. In his first championship finals event. Madison Packer. Findlay. From upstate.
Seven Kenyon in 2018. In Lane three, the 100 backstroke. Champion. And at the conclusion of the 50th, it to me like Augustine was over. First. The younger second and McLaren third. Madison got the better. Of McLaren last night in the 100. That was a great race. Augusta University and Augustine
Matched her own national record of 5341 that she had set, leading off the relay on Thursday night, and that the 100. Justin has about a half body length lead on the McLaren. That’s McLaren. Speed is rockets and Kenyon. And it does look like the field is separating into last night’s top two
Contestant in the 100 back. For Clara moves up and Augustine. And it looks to me like they’ll be dead even at the 150, as they should be. I think they are separated by 11/100 of a second. One 2596 for McLaren. One 2607 for Augustine. Wow. Stroke for stroke. Literally synchronized
There. And they turn together and Augustine may be just a little more distance off that 175 wall. And a Christian with the strength she actually pulls away pretty easily to win by a body length at one 5598, only 31/100 off of our national record. For The 145. Congratulations. To. Monmouth. As we.
Here are the consolation results of the men’s 200 yards backstroke in 16th. Jaden, Evan, NYU 15th. Anderson, Brazil. CMS 14th from Emory. For four years now, and we start off with it and. It’s really special, you know? Can I ask you, Washburn go and, Austin College 94 under three minutes, and I was blessed. Honestly I have, my academic success. I’ve been able to Lakeland to SUNY Brockport really taught me a lot
About time management, like education, all that stuff. So, just coming in, I mean. Having that time management skills and swimming my whole life, that’s how I have been able to do so well in school. So, you know, just keep that in Whitman. That’s how you Henderson State. Minnesota State Mankato. Water
In the men’s. Golf. It is now time to meet the top eight performers in the women’s 200 yards backstroke. Presenting the women’s 200 backstroke awards will be assistant coach from Carnegie Mellon University. Our Lee Tellez. In eighth place from Tufts Madison Hagberg. In seventh from Austin College. Sam Thiel. In
Sixth from Emory. Megan Younger years. In fifth. Also from Emory. Izzy Huang. In fourth from Carnegie Mellon. Savannah Zhu. In third from Kenyan Kaylee Woolcock. In second from Williams. Sophia Brooklyn. And your 2024 Division three women’s 200 yards backstroke. National champion with a performance of 155 .98 from MIT. Kate Augustine .
No. No. No. Once again. For women’s backstroke. National Marquette. Last year. Coming. Grinnell Now we know. Alfred. Concordia Chicago. Of 96. Who was Shorter Norwich. Shippensburg. Now we go to our final set of individual finals for the night in the 200 breaststroke. This will be the consolation final from men. NCAA
Record was set seven years ago by future Olympian Andrew Wilson for Emory at one 50.8. Jason Hamilton one for Emory last year and a one 5377. Andre Bonneau of Emory is in one. Liam Nelson of Denison and two Geoffrey Gerber of Amherst and three Gavin Jones of Denison, and four he scored
In both by Elms at this meet. Brandon Streit of Hopkins in five, Isaac Pan of Pomona-pitzer in six, Elijah Enos of Denison is in seven. Fourth in the 100 breast last night and Noel Tumbas of Kenyon in eight. And as we head into this final individual event on the men’s
Side, Emory leads with 370. They have a 23 point lead on Kenyon. Then there’s quite a drop back to Chicago at 275, Williams at two 32.5. But Williams is only two and a half points up and up on NYU at 230 points. Wells New Mexico. University of the South.
Southern Maine. With all these swimmers for us this morning. Colby in the Seven Foul by Charles Drew. The Elmhurst to lead the way as we come to 100 yards. Ole Miss. Shepherd. Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Incidentally a most impressive. The top 18 times were all under two minutes. For frontier, that
Was a one 5881 to a one 5972. And as they head into that last wall, it’s very tight. It looks to me like Lane three. That is Gerber for Amherst turned first. And now closing on Gerber is Denison’s, Jones and they’re straight across tough to make the call on the lunge. And it
Goes to Jeffrey Gerber at 159 010. A tie, but no if Emory also at 150 901 and third to Gavin Jones of Denison at a 159 and 19. Fourth year one 5929 was Elijah Venus of Denison. Wow. Great race. Yeah. We got Brandon . Fort Lewis Findlay Marist 200 yards breaststroke. Colby.
Milwaukee of Geneva. Emory. Now in Lane one. Liang Sun 11th, 100 breaststroke. Emory last night from Irvine, California in Lane two. Brian van der Veen of Tcnj. He’s from East Brunswick, new Jersey. A major in business management. Lane three Anthony Fitzgerald of Wheaton, Illinois, ninth in 100 breaststroke. Last
Night, and Jake Meyer of Emory in four. Runner up to Derrick Moss in the 100 breaststroke. Snipe East from Columbus, Ohio. In lane five is the aforementioned Derrick Moss, record setter in a 200 Im this year, also victorious and Hunter breaststroke east from Holland, Michigan, and is currently attending med school at NYU.
Patrick Daley Junior at Denison is in lane six. He was sixth in the two Im, 10th in 100 breaststroke here. He’s from New Albany, Ohio, majoring in economics last year and for the Sagehens Larry you is a senior. He has been seventh in the two
Im 12th in the 4 a.m. He is from Victoria, British Columbia and by the way, has had himself a great meet. Rounding out the field is Jacob Grover of Williams, a senior who’s from Byron Center, Michigan, A. Championship point. Walsh. Utah. Hillsdale. Lander 1.80. Central (Iowa. Houston Buffalo. Coast Guard. Thiel Lander.
William Jewell. Georgia Tech. Tulane Maya Ramos. Turned together. Mar a 2552. Meyer a 2562. 40 from 100 breaststroke. No, that’s about 75 yards. Jake Meyer hanging in there. Both of them using the long stroke, particularly Moss. Boston College from McDaniel 44. And at the 125, they turn together a
Two person race. At the moment, the race for third is awfully close. Looks like. Wheaton’s Fitzgerald Navy in third. He is for sure. And now they head to the last 50. Moss picked up a slight edge as they closed on that 150 mark. 55 Wisconsin-Oshkosh Bloomfield. And then Moss just uses a
Tremendous pull out off. 175 wall and he is home in a. One 5426 Meyer. 150 601. Third to Fitzgerald of Wheaton at one 5683. So. And the entire field was under two minutes there to be expected. I guess. And 59. 81 to Denison. That was eighth place. Seaside I’m old enough to
Remember the first time someone in Division three broke two minutes. I think it was Joshua, boss at Hope goes back some years now, but still everybody was awed. By Emory Colby. Now to the consolation final for the women’s 200 breaststroke. Jordan Wentzel of Saint Kate set a
Record two years ago at two 1006 , and Lane one will be Alicia Seuss of Chicago, Sydney McAuley of Kenyon in two, Udenna Chen of MIT in three. She was runner up in this event, Missouri in the 100 breaststroke last night . And the apple was our fastest consolation qualifier. 12th in
The 4 a.m. on Thursday. She’s from Pomona. Pitzer Katie Cohen, freshman at Emory, is in lane five. Kinsey Brooks, senior, Marini Washington in six. She was seventh in the 2 a.m. and 12th in 100 breaststroke at these championships. Carter Roebuck of Williams in seven, 10th in the 200 freestyle on
Thursday and a Pashchenko, a junior at RIT, is in lane eight. And it looks as though Brooks for Mary Washington is over first at the 75. Oh, Brooks really extended her breakout there. And now moving up this Chen in lane three. Brooks turns first at 105 22 105 43 for Chen,
Sitting third at 105 61 was Cohen of Emory. Troy Ramapo. Bloomsburg. Chadron State three. Brooks the six together by 125. And now Chen will have right about a body length a little less, actually, at the 150. Moving very well is Apple for pomona-pitzer Penn State-Altoona and. Sure enough, Apple is
Closing Cohen moving up as well. Need to hold this wall, which they all do. Apple trying to close Katie Cohen closing. Well I’m not sure if she has a room. Might come down to Chen and Apple. I think Chen may have the edge. She does at two 1685 two
1699 for Apple and 217 five five for Katie Cohen of Emory . It is now time to move our championship finalist in women’s $200 for. Tulane. Louisville SUNY Potsdam from Johns Hopkins to 100. Lynchburg. Consolation. Post Taylor. In Lane one for Hopkins in Pleasanton, California. Taylor. Howard a cognitive
Science major. Neely Burns of Trinity is in two. She won the 400 im a couple nights ago. She’s from Phoenix, Arizona and lane three will be Gabriela Wei of Kenyon from Hong Kong. Actually, she’s been a top eight in both the 4 a.m. and Hunter Breaststrokes here. Charlotte
Wishnick of Williams is our top qualifier here. She was fifth in the 100 breaststroke last night. She’s from Richmond, Virginia. Jenna Faidley of Kenyon in five, a junior, she won the 100 breaststroke last night. She’s from Siler City, North Carolina, next to her Ncac rival, Drew Thiel Keene State, sophomore at
Denison. She is from Brighton, Minnesota a bio chem major Fiona Arwood, who has made after a number of consolation finals, Fiona Arwood has made her first championship final. A nice way to go out her senior year for Emory. She’s from Asheville, North Carolina and from Messiah Evangeline Soerens. She is from
Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. Rogers State Caldwell. Roger Williams . York (Pennsylvania) Evansville two 1006 George Mason Saint Peter’s. And 2022 Troy Greenville. West Alabama. Chestnut Hill. Lane Dallas five Coast Guard. Ashland Tulane. And 22. As her name records. And it’ll be faidley at the 50. The slight lead on her teammate way.
2949 for Faidley 2974 for way sitting third was talking of Denison, a shade under 30s. Going into this race, Kenyon was leading with 377. Denison with 355. NYU had 340, and the Kenyon teammates turn together at the 100, 102 94 for way, a 103 18 for Faidley. So way now swimming
Very well and moving up between them is Wishniak and on the other side, Drew Keene State of Denison, undoubtedly fully aware of the team score situation way at the moment seems to be drawing away from this field ever so slightly. And she is for sure it’s a body length on way
Wishniak and faidley. Sorry fish neck Rusnak, Faidley and Tilkin easy for me to say. And way has taken control of this one. 75. Now can faidley get those all important points? And sure enough, Faidley is closing. She’ll get second way at two 1170. Bradley second, two 1271. 213. 15 for Wishniak and fourth
To Telchinia two 1345. Quite a race. And you have to give Gabbie way a lot of credit. After that first 50, she just seemed all that much stronger. Just kept adding wow, that one two is going to be big, particularly with the points Denison will be getting in the diving. There you go.

Record of two 5359 by Somers Turk, Ramsey Richardson of Kenyon 12 years ago. This will be our consolation final. Here for Claremont-mudd-scripps and one. Anderson. Brazil Dylan Kruger, Spencer Merodio and Frank Applebaum. Bowdoin is in two. Raphael Grandpierre, Michael Shaw, Alex Grandpierre and Jack Turan. Wash U is in three. Danny Sibley, Austin
Vick, Justin Rockaway, and Ethan Fang Washington in the in five. Layton Chapman, Dalton Jobe, Charles Byers and Baxter Smeltzer Carnegie Mellon in five. Brayden Morford, Alexander Tarczynski, David Lloyd and Arnav Deshpande Pomona-pitzer in six Adrian Clement, Larry You, Ian Conner and Tad Kerwin. Hope is in seven. Colin Kaufman, Ben
Keaton, Graham Eisenman, and Henry Booker, and the College of New Jersey is in lane eight. James McChesney, leading off and he is out to a bit of a lead. No surprise there. Let’s see what he comes home on. Saint Joseph’s Keene State I missed one here, but Ryan Bowler is in the water
For Tcnj and they are in the lead. Lucas Block and Ryan Higgins round out the Lions quartet. In the water. First Ramona Pitzer with the lead. Now Buyers for lower 45 coming Buffalo State. And the sagehens about a half body length. But. Mellon’s David Lloyd trying to move up Tcnj still solid there.
That’s Lucas block in the water. And here we come to the anchor legs. Pomona-pitzer still leading. He and Conner gives way to tag Curran. Anchor for Carnegie Mellon is Arnav Deshpande over in lane eight, Ryan Higgins for Tcnj. Looks like Washington’s Ethan Fang is about a body length back, maybe
A little less. I mean, well, in one and is Frank Applebaum first CMS. But this looks like Pomona. Pitzer will have this one in hand with Carnegie Mellon’s second. Deshpande is closing, but I don’t think he has the room now. It will be about a half body length, about to
Finish. Two 5882 for Carnegie Mellon to a two 5840 for Pitzer. Third to wash U at Saint Louis, also under three minutes with a two 5945. Nice way to finish up the meet. Consolation heat victory! Now time to keep our championship finalist and Lawrence for Rhodes Quincy Schreiner Indiana. For Buffalo .
Championship finals. Greenville And in these championship finals . Teams we find Tufts and Lane. One Peter LaBarge. Sorin Howard will Stearns and Ammon Sica. For the Eagles of Emory and two, Nick Goudey, Harrison Curry, Caden Bjornstad and Benjamin Thorson. For Chicago in three, Garrett Clauson will lead it off
With Kyle Garcia, Jesse Saginaw Valley State and Sebastian Bernis to follow. Now in the middle, Kenyans Georgia College will lead off, followed by Marco Kushnick, Daniel Brooks and Alexa Dobrich. NYU and five Pierce downs, AJ Roanoke and Greg Webby and Derek Moss. Calvin and six David Bajwa, Forest Peterson, Vlad Mullan and
Charles Platt and Michigan. Seven Toby Eboshi, Jaden Luo, Arnold Su and Eugene Zhang and Williamson. Eight Theo Randall, Oliver Charlotte, Charlotte, Barrett Herrick and Nicole . And attention to the lead off here. I would think that for Golovkin, four and a bocce and seven still might have a shot at
Oliver Smith’s 4298. Oh, there you go. Field nearly straight across at the 50. And beauty of Emory actually was in the lead at 20.83. And beauty. He’s right there. Sekulovich moving up. I think the goal of it will lead to the wall. He does with 53, 43, 56. Beauty second of 43, 69
To lead off. Oh and the water for the owls Marco Kushnick for Emory. And two Harrison Furrow. Now moving into second in lane seven. And that looks to be Jaden Luo for MIT, but it’s still very, very tight. JJ Retana can moving well for New York in lane five. Now for
Kenyon and for Daniel Brooks, a senior next to him in five Greg Webb of New York. Jesse Sunjong’s the butterfly for Chicago in lane three. He’s about a body length back. Ronald Xu of MIT swimming well in seven and wet with him is Calvin Vlad Malone. And sunjong’s now is the
One making the best move. And he gets Chicago within a half body length. Chicago a fairly solid third and men’s competition. So there was no need to press the start. Anchoring for. Kenyon Aleksandrovich. But Sebastian Bernays for Chicago, Derek Moss, a three time winner for New York, is in lane five, certainly
A respectable freestyle, but too much to ask for him to track down these top two swimmers. And Bernie’s is closing, but he won’t have the room. And there it is. It goes to Kenyon, anchored by Alexi Dobrich at two 5452. Chicago with a two 5522. Official Thanks for all of your
Complaint. For two, for two, for Houston Christian Plymouth State , William Smith and . Out of the St. John Fisher. Consolation heat of the men’s 400 Freestyle Relay. The disqualification in the consolation heat is Lane number six. Pomona-pitzer was disqualified. Lane six. Pomona-pitzer disqualified. Thank you. Thank you . Happy.
At Cal Poly. Let’s go. We go, I go. Colby. Let’s go . This is the consolation final of the Bethel (Minnesota. Portland. New Orleans. Cornell College freestyle relay. And so we move to the final two events of the evening, the consolation and championship finals for the women’s 400 yard freestyle relay
. National record of three 1846 was set six years ago by Muir, Chang, Ung and Taylor of Emory last year’s winner was Tufts at 321, 66 six. The consolation final we’ll start presently. Final three. Gordon. Knox in lane one, the Washu is Payton Watson Lynn mi Rachel Bello and Isabella Barrientos
Claremont-mudd-scripps and two Annika Sharma, McKenzie Mayfield, Madeline Kahn, and Annette Chang. Emory is in three. Penelope Helm, Izzy Huang , Penny Nix, and Jane Sanderson. Chicago in four Emily Zhou, Jane Candy, Alicia Kelly, and Annabelle Olivo, Johns Hopkins in five Elizabeth Cohen, McKenzie Higgins, Julia Tuijnman, and Michelle Liu, Case
Western in six, Claire Kozma and Julie Paul, Kate Menzer and Gabby Chambers in Rhodes for Rhodes and seven McKenzie Roach, Eliza Halverson, Pexton Smith and Madeline Carroll and Gettysburg is in eight. Nia Yancy, Maya Nola, Mia, Muriel and Val Lawton. And at the 125 field is nearly even. Looks like
The leader right now is in Lane eight. That would be Gettysburg. Maya Naylor in the water for the bullets. And now coming up with her, Chicago’s Jane Candy. And for. Izzy Wong of Emory in three and one gets the better of the underwater work and it is looks
Like one perhaps at the 200 it is at one 4256 140 309 for Chicago next to them and a one 4326 for Gettysburg now in the water for the bullets Memorial. Alicia Kelly for Chicago, Penny Selznick’s for Emory and Celtics now puts a body length into Kelly. And now swimming well
Actually Madeline Kahn for CMS in two. She looks like she’s moving into second. But Selznick’s breaking this one. Open for the Eagles. And she’s. And it’s next. And now Kelly gains it back a little bit in that last half of length. Great looking start on the part of the Emory anchor. That’s Jane
Sanderson a sophomore. Looks like the race is developing just for second. And coming up on Sanderson ever so slightly Chicago’s anchor Annabelle Olivo . But she has plenty of company next to her in the form of Michelle Liu of Hopkins. And on the other side, Annette Chang,
Anchor for CMS. And I should not leave out Gettysburg. That’s Val Lawton anchoring for the bullets . Olivo trying to close. She’ll get close, but run out of room. It’s three 2504 for Sanderson and Emory to win the consolation. Olivo brings Chicago home second with a three 2568 and third to Hopkins. Three
2640. 2504. It is now time for our final heat of competition. After four days. Let’s meet your championship finalist at the 1040, the women’s $400 freestyle relay . Which. Demoted to recurring. Shorter. Minnesota State Mankato . Caldwell Into John Jay. NYU Virginia. Desire. Omaha. Marshall Rockford. Elon. William Jewell. Rhode Island. Keene
State. Bridgewater State. Charlotte Yep. And this championship final. Williams with McLaren, Shulman and Kilcoyne. NYU and two McIntyre, Oldham, Marshall and O’Neill and mighty. And three. Robertson, Smith. Sun and Augustine. And four. It’s Wang, Turvey, Gould and Melo. The Pomona-pitzer Kenyans and five Haig, Eisenbeis , Torrecillas, DeWalt and
Gerbold Denison and six Harris, Kadlecik, Ferguson and Wright, Calvin and seven Gabel, Farrell, Merkel and Sunday. And rounding out the field for Swarthmore Hollins, Tambling Wiggins and Anthony . The women’s team competition has remained tight throughout the evening, so this relay is something more than a formality. For Radford and Kaylee McIntyre
Gets NYU off to a great start at the first 50. It’s a body length for McIntyre. Remember? She went 4879 to break the national record a little earlier tonight. And she’s after another one. And she’s got almost two body lengths at the hundred. She is home 4894. So about 15/100
Slower than her record swim early. On the other hand sub 49. That’s still flying in the water for the violets is Isabel Oldham. And we’ll see if the rest of this field can now track track down New York. La Salle field is nearly even and there are closing now. It is Smith for
MIT. I think, and Pomona Pitzer turvy herself a great freestyler moving well and they are closing the gap on NYU over in six. That is Denison’s kadlecik. Penn State-Berks Rutgers Shorter Buffalo 2017 four four for the violets and two Caitlin Marshall, who’s had herself a wonderful meet. Look at that
Turnover on the part of Marshall trying to chase her down. Next to her is son of MIT Gould for the Pomona-pitzer is closest. Denison’s Ferguson not far off the pace Torrecillas jewel for Kenyon trying to get closer. Well NYU looks to be leading by a slight bit, admittedly at the
300 anchoring Reno Nicole Grinnell for NYU for Pomona-pitzer, it’s Valerie Mello, Kate Augustine of MIT, the great backstroke that was in three, Sydney Gebauer of Kenyon in five. She’s trying to chase down Esme Wright of Denison. And New York still with the lead? Yes by 2/100 of a second. This
Is going to be quite a race to the finish. And up. To 375 wall just looked like Melo had the better technique the better underwater work. And it does go to Pomona-pitzer a three 2059. Michigan runner up to New York at three 2104 and third there. Three 2295 MIT.
Yeah. I, I can identify, I think sort of a little bit of exhaustion after four days and having to lay it all out at the very last, but they did it and did so successfully. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that concludes our four days of trials and finals of racing. And
