Hello hello hi good afternoon, good afternoon I’m Sandra Jamie nice to meet you so look at this welcome to the tour truck thank you looks amazing huh yes yeah so should we have a quick look around
Yeah thank you so we’ll start in our Players Lounge so come on through so in here is our basically our chill out area for our players um so we’ve got two lovely sofas we’ve got a big 65 in
TV we’ve got a PS5 in here so it’s a nice area for our players to chill out um you know spend some alone time either have meetings or it’s a kind of it’s a meeting room with a puma
Twist basically so it’s you know we’ve got a wine seller bottle of champagne for our next win to celebrate yes exactly so it’s a it’s a really good space and it’s used it’s used really well so yeah looks very good very nice moving on through look at the sofa huh yes yeah it’s
Nice yeah and and here we have the the players Locker some of them yeah so we have our players lockers so each week the players will get obviously um if there are Puma staff they’ll get shoes and clothing if there are cpg staff they will get all of the essentials
They need we’ve also got a hat wall on this side so all of our players you know if they need more hats for the week this will get constantly topped up um and they take them
as and when they need so yeah it’s perfect so if they forget anything at home everything is here yeah or uh if they’re playing in the UK you know the unpredictable British weather we do carry mits, beanie, umbrellas, so just in case yeah so that’s good that’s good we got
The most y the business end of the truck so if we come on through into the workshop so we got a few a few Builds on the go at the moment this just a few wedges and bits and bobs for our for
Our players so it’s ready when when they start yeah when whenever they need it they’ll get it so so that’s perfect and I mean if there are different conditions like again you play in
The U UK and it’s very windy if they need lower loft or so we’re able to tweak all of that so we do carry a full full range of all products um so obviously we carry enough drivers for all of our
Players all topped up so it’s yeah because every player has different kind of setups yes so then three models vines that we carry so obviously CB MD and King tour but is it more of than the players Swit driver during yeah so we’ll find they’ll get
Died in for their irons you know early season and they’ll probably stick with it bar a few regrips and then yeah the tweaking generally in the woods and you know fresh wedges every so often is always beneficial as well so so sounds good yeah and it’s yeah you have everything yeah so
Moving down obviously we’ve got grips different different sizes different colors um so we carry 58 60 midsize so we can meet all of the needs of the players so BCT as well Z cord t velvet we do
Carry some special grips as well so for instance Jens at the moment uses a corded tour wrap so we keep some some of them for him and a few other older older models as well his name on
The grp definitely so sha wise again so we carry most if not all major sha manufacturers on the truck so Ventus is very popular at the moment as you’ve probably seen so you know all weights all flexes we carry that as Wells another few other so graphite design Acura you name it with
Have it so sounds good perfect and I have my bag, yes so we can look what I have from from last year and uh see if you have something here that perfect let’s have a look can be
Nice so yeah I can move the bag in here so I have different kind of aerojet yep so so this one with the weight in the back is more forgiving uh as you know but that’s it’s a nine but the loft is
6 and a half y so that’s one of my competition clubs and then I also have 7 and 1 half but it’s actually L of six of six and it’s the ls model and then then see if I have that’s that’s a nine yeah
Like when I need higher Loft and then I have yeah the 5.5 as if it’s really bad conditions like windy or yeah so I have some different but what I’m hoping for with the new dark speed is
That I can have one club for most of the condition like just change some weights and yeah the uh you know the benefit of the new dark speed products obviously we have that extra weight port in the
Ls model so we can still have the setup in the ls but we’ve got the adjustability you know to move that weight for the back so almost use you know we can create this product as well as
Maintaining having this product in the same head so that’s what I love with the new dark speed that you can mix up I can have one kind of head but then I can weigh it different I have yeah some
Different setups but the same head so it feels familiar every time so good okay so let’s see what we can do yeah so we’ll start with a couple of heads oh so so now we go from the arejet to the dark
Speed yeah so on our heads we’ll have we’ll make you up one for 7° and one for 8° yep um true Loft being yeah 7 and 1/2 and slightly less with that one as well so you so you can check the The Loft
Yes yeah so can you show me how how you do so what we do over here that’s cool because all the heads are a little different right yes yeah there is you know there will be a small tolerance
That’s why we get the exact Loft printed on the heads um so if a specific request comes in from a player we are able to meet that request without having to measure every single head so and I
Have the request to get as low as I can as low as possible yeah so yeah on standard on eight at the moment this is cool huh so true Loft on that is 7 and A2 mhm so then I can get it down to six I want so that’s perfect
Perfect cuz I want sometimes I want like as low as L as I can get gives you the ability to do all in one head as well yeah and then if it’s like wind from from the back yeah I maybe I Loft it
Up y perfect uh but then I have the opportunity so that’s that’s perfect perfect okay so and then we have another one yeah so obviously we’ll make you two drivers so we’ll have a gamer and a backup so obviously if you’re competing then it’s always good to carry two heads yeah
Yeah yeah perfect so exact off with this as well says 7 and a half but we will just double check it okay so you travel around like in all events in Europe or yeah so my job as being the tech on
The truck so wherever the truck goes is where I will go um so all of the Mainland Europe events um and yeah so we have there’s two basically there’s three of us in total so my job will be
In the workshop we have Matt who will be on the range and then we have Joe who will oversee everything so so you’re coming back to Sweden we are yes early June um for the scandy Mixed yes so it’s great then I know where to go if if I need more
Yes yeah s and a half bang on so that gives you two heads with exact LOFT of seven and a half um so it gives you the ability to get down to six and go up if need be you know if if you’re playing downwind as well so sounds good sounds
Good and then I can mix with a with a weights right yeah so what we can do obviously we have access to extra weights so at the moment in yeah in both heads we’ve got two 3 G and
A 12 G um obviously depending on where that 12 G moves around changes the cent of gravity slightly so further back it’s going to make the head a little bit more forgiving like your a arejet model
And then obviously if the 12 GS further forward it’s bit more the ls model so the slightly lower spinning it will come out a little bit lower and spin less okay so and you can also weight
Them right yes so on your specs at the moment um off the top of my head can was 190 G we will just double check them yeah it says 190 and it’s yeah 190 yeah yeah it’s weight already um my coach is
Is doing everything in the US so yeah yeah but he’s not here so that’s why I’m so happy that you are here and can do go the do the job for him yeah so this is coming in at 1 191 so we
Can basically take a little bit of weight out of it um and this one is coming in slightly over at 196 so so that’s heavier that’s heavier yeah so essentially what we can do is use these weights
Here it’s not that it need to be 190 but that’s what I’m used to it’s a I think it’s a good starting point L we’ll give you some weights to take away so you can chop and change and test it
But yeah you know if you’re having good success with what these are doing at the moment I think it’s a great starting point yeah and with this one I change it to an from 12 to 8 yeah but that
Was for typical conditions so I mean and as well obviously the drivers the playe length of driver is quite a bit longer so we would need a slightly like 190 is a reasonably light head weight weight
Because of the lengths of the driver so we can maintain a you know a stable swing weight for you that’s all yeah so my coach Bobby Peterson is the same coach that and he’s coaching Kyle birkshire
As well so uh I mean I trust him 100% he knows everything about long drive so that’s that’s good so hello hello hey hey, How is it Yes it is good, just want to say hello, Hello Nice to see you, the same, Actually knew you would come by
Cool, How are you, that’s good, that’s good, I’m putting together some clubs, how nice, so we’ll probably have time to exchange a few words before you start, Cool Cool it was the guys from Golftugget, which is a big Swedish golf podcast about golf
Yeah okay so now you switch weights yeah going to do is just change the setup slightly just so we get that that magic number he’s going to do the weight so it’s exactly like pretty much the same as what I’m used to yeah that’s perfect
Perfect yes we got 192 191 so it’s pretty close sounds good and now you put yeah two eight in the front so we’ve got two eights in the front and three in the back of that one so essentially that could be your lower launching product being two eights in the front um and
Then we’ve got essentially two threes and then an eight at the back so that’s going to be the high Laing product again you obviously we will send you off with some extra weights so you can play around with that and test it so here we have like two threes in the
Front and one eight in the back that’s more for giving and then when I need lower lower spin yeah we have two eights in a front front and one three in the back yeah great perfect that’s amazing huh okay thank you so yeah they will fit onto your shafts um should
We build you a gamer shaft as well for your yeah yeah thank you yes perfect so that’s perfect okay so that’s so we have a tenside orange so a counterbalance 60 G stiffle that’s what you think would match my yeah my swing yeah cuz when I play I’m around like 110 112
Swing speed yeah maybe a little bit more sometimes but it’s good to have a shot that it’s okay to play even if it’s 10° outside yes so I don’t need to I mean hit as hard as I can
All the time when I play so this should be a little bit easier so definitely that’s good that’s good so so yeah I think pretty much standard gripe nothing special I mean think what I oh what I have today cross line on that yeah I’m not that picky when it comes to not
Anymore for long drive yes but when I play it’s more like everything works yeah yeah so do you normally have it tipped at all or is it just straight in I don’t know don’t know
Okay I trust people around around me to build my clubs and I don’t we’ll we’ll put it straight in and then we’ll put it at standard what’s the difference so tipping makes it a little bit
Firmer okay so so ah no no I don’t know I think yeah we we’ll build it with standard and then yeah if it’s you know if it’s an issue we can always revisit so and then so now we put you to work
Yes good okay so have you been to Sweden before this was my first time this trip yes so exciting yes and you have the typical spring weather in Sweden it’s like windy some rain and cold yeah
Yeah it’s been it’s been a bit windy the last few days which is you know the weather’s been a a little bit fresh to be honest um but you know being from the UK okay I’m not immune to
It we do get our fair share of the dodgy weather as well so yeah so this is nothing the the wind is nothing here compared to what you have sometimes yeah yeah so you are a good golfer for yourself uh
I try yeah yeah I’m uh definitely a competitive golfer um you know I like to play on the weekends bit you know when I’m not working that kind of thing so um yeah when I get the time it’s yeah
It’s always good so do you have the opportunity sometimes to play the course where where you are with the tour bus not very often our our working week is is quite compact so we will We Will
Fly Monday morning to the to the event Rambo who drives a truck will be already set up for us so we’ll be straight to work Monday morning when we arrive um we’ll work Monday Tuesday Wednesday the truck will leave to go to the next event uh Wednesday afternoon evening and then that
Allows us to then basically fly home we got two days at home to sort out for the next week and do the same again the week after so so you’re it’s you’re busy then it’s quite chaotic yeah
Yeah and the players normally comes like Tuesday yeah depending on what event it is depends on you know some may arrive Monday Tuesday some you know if they’re familiar with the course they might arrive a little bit later depends on where we are and what the event is so
For instance the open has obviously got an extra practice day so you see a lot more guys a little bit there you know earlier compared to some of the other events so perfect right so if we use
Sleeve I guess you’re used to people filming you when you work a little bit yeah no pressure yeah it’s just good to know I mean people watching this probably don’t know how to I mean how the work how it works so it’s yeah yeah no it’s it’s an impressive workshop on Wheels
Definitely so yeah and it’s not everyone that can get in here in The Bu exactly lots of people don’t see the Tor Truck um obviously you know if you’re going to watch a golf event um they will
Turn up you know on the Thursday so by that time we we’re gone you know we’re on our way to the next event so yeah we’re not seen all the time but we are there if that makes
Sense yeah yeah yeah so if I just yeah because then you need to start going because it’s can be another event the week after right yes exactly just cut this a little bit shorter to start with so to have it playing its standard playing length we will go 45 inch
That’s perfect I tried to play some golf as well but uh I have played professional golf for 13 years y but then and so long drive was just a hobby from the beginning yeah but now when I do long drive full time it’s not that much time to play anymore I was
Going to say it’s more it probably takes most of your time up yeah perfect Simon he build when I have two kids so when when we get the second kid he build a simulator at home yeah
So I can practice because when I decided to do a comeback I realized that it’s hard to do if I can’t practice at home enough yeah so and struggling jug so so that’s that’s perfect
But then I tried to play a little bit more because it’s it’s nice to have the golf I mean if you don’t play you you lose too much of your touch and everything definitely unfortunately it’s one
Of those games is what you put in is what you get out isn’t it so yeah but then it’s the pressure too so when I decided not competing golf anymore it’s a lot more easier to play right now I can
Just play for fun and then so yeah I try to play at least nine holes When I visit golf courses and uh so you’re you’re training for long drive is it pretty comprehensive you know is it taking up
A lot of your time uh yeah but it’s not like when I practice for golf I mean then you can practice like 15 hours a day and then you can feel like you you’re not done it’s always someone that practice
More but for long drive because I hit golf balls as hard as I can after one or two hours I mean my body is done and then I can go to the gym and then I’m done for the day with practice but then I do
A lot of things around long drive with exhibition days like clinics and stuff so it’s a lot of work around it so it’s it’s more than a full-time work but it’s not as many hours at the golf course as
It was when I was a y professional golfer because then you need to practice putting and chipping and wedges and playing now it’s only the driver so yeah exactly and it’s more in I mean intensive
To to hit a lot of drives yeah definitely so but it’s it’s a lot of fun we’ve got the driver glued um we’ll wait a few minutes for that to just to go off um we’ll crack a grip on see what
The swing weight’s coming out as um I know the heads are kind of mainly set up for your driver uh your long drive so we we’ll see what the swing weight’s coming out as um yeah we do the setup for
The long drive but then I can use it for glove as well exactly just in case you need to so in that case I’m probably going to do it like a standard like a 12 in the back and then two threes at the
Front two threes yeah so maybe I put another a little bit heavier weight for golf yeah yeah because course yeah because because it’s shorter we probably would need to increase the head weight slightly just to get a better swing weight for you okay so for casual golf not um so but it’s
It’s enough to switch the age to a 12 yeah so I remember that because on the golf course you I don’t need the extra length just I want to have the the ball in play right don’t we all to
Be honest and then for long drive I’m probably going to put it on minus one or one and a half crank it down a little bit on the golf course maybe I take it up to 9 because again I need
To do it as easy as possible on the golf course the game’s hard enough as it is it is it is for sure okay so it’s I mean before back in the days you need to wait like 24 hours to make it yeah so
The glue we use dp810 you know I’d be quite happy with you hitting shots after you know about half hour 40 minutes so I’m not going to hit today not like you know for when we’re at events it’s very
Useful that you know we can we can get orders out the door and we can get guys in product you know within an hour technically so which is good yeah that’s that’s perfect and then uh yeah it’s just
Not going to fly away yeah yeah no it’s good glue yeah that’s perfect so do you do like printing on wedges stamp wedges so there’s a few examples um we’ve got a few builds at the moment so so that
That can be something for next time yeah more than welcome so yeah we got a few wedge orders at the moment a few quite a few of them are being stamped for our L guys that’s good and
If you forget your wedge on the if you leave it if you leave it on the hole they know exactly it is yeah yeah it’s just a nice little Personal Touch that we like to do you know to make it a
Little bit more interactive with our guys yeah so that’s good that’s good and it’s good for I mean must be a good thing for longra like for Cobra like or overall that Kyle has like his Big Brand like yes yeah you know he’s a very influential person not only in the long drive
Game but in golf in general I know him very well so we are we’re good friends so lovely but I I’m guessing he’s very good for for the brand yes I mean distancing golf over the last few years you
Know has become a major key um lots of people are you know how do I hit it further how do I do this um so you know having people like yourself and Kyle behind the brand is is great for it yeah
Have you met Kyle not personally no not yet not yet yeah I’m hoping that he can come to Sweden and we can do something fun here that would be great yeah but he always say oh I
Want to come to Sweden like yes come and then but yeah we would see but he’s a nice guy so that’s good lovely so good and the one the tournament I won in Tennessee he finished second so it was
Like okay in August yeah and it was the first televised since 2019 for long drive so it was the right tournament to win the perect one to win hoping for Kyle because it would be even better if
We both won two players yeah but I remember he he finished second in at that event but then he won the World Championship which I was hoping to win too but I mean this year this year now with the
Dark speed with the dark speed exactly definitely yeah it would be nice to have some more titles have you seen a long drive event I mean obviously you yeah I haven’t I haven’t attended one in person but yeah I’ve seen plenty of them online so it is fun it’s I call it rock
And roll of golf like it’s High music and yeah it’s h so much fun so I always say that like like the ride a cup and the solen cap and also some other golf tournaments and music on and I said it
Comes from long drive because which is it’s almost becoming more and more popular isn’t it that kind of style of golf so it’s yeah it’s definitely something that as a brand from humor is great to be in I think definitely so that’s when I’m not competing or practice I do like exhibition days
And Clinics and and I always have like High music on and cheering on up the crowd pumps that kind of thing and when I start doing it like 10 years ago people are like okay but turn down the music because it’s
Another hole on the they’re putting over there but nowadays people are more used it yeah so it’s it’s a lot of fun so so everything about long drive is fun like entertaining so it’s uh yeah
It’s good it’s good and also with all these indoor Center I mean we can do it like all year like yeah even if we are indoor people are it’s fun watching getting long drives exactly yeah yeah so it’s
So it’s good yeah perfect right just in a couple more minutes with this and we shouldn’t be too far away yeah so grip wise would you like to pick a grip to go on just a regular size I think I mean tall velvet happy with that something a bit more color
On it do we have more colors we’ve got MCC okay so no pink ones no pink ones unfortunately oh but then the black one is better I think yeah just a plain black yeah that’s
Good so just give it a couple more minutes and then we’ll be able to pop the grip on double check swing weight and then we’ll send you on your way with a couple more weights as well so
Be good to get some testing done with you know playing around with the weights and seeing what ball flights and what trajectories you can um kind of create by moving these weights around so that’s good so anything else you want to show us when we are waiting um probably the
Most expens oh the sorry the most important machine on the truck is probably the coffee machine over in the corner um were close to say the most expensive then you you the most important so you know having a great coffee machine is probably the number one key
Um we are running two machines at the moment so yeah but that’s important right yeah got to stay fueled hav’t you yeah but yeah otherwise yeah equipment wise you know it’s very self-explanatory what we carry it does vary brand to Brand slightly but they all do very similar jobs
So yeah yeah with my old brand I I have been in in some trucks yeah mhm I had I was eight years with kellway so do you know Paul from kway I do yeah yeah say hello to him next time huh
Cuz he was helping me out a lot since it was so many years so yes so yeah then we did the kings of distance y there’s been a couple of those hasn’t there yeah yeah so we we did like
Two three every year mhm so it was it was fun fun events so yeah right I think we should be too far away makee looks good there we go oh it’s done yes so we’ll just double check the swing weight should come up a little bit light nice to have professional help
Here yeah so we’re at C9 and a half at the moment again if we what does that mean so swing weight is essentially like the balance point so it’s essentially the uh the extreme scale is if I compare a fishing rod to say a sledgehammer
And then so the scale is measured from you know g f e d um essentially 1 to 10 or 1 to 9 and zero and essentially what we’re trying to do so in a set of ions we’ll try and get them all the same
Weight we will get them all the same weight to then make this the feel of the iron although the lengths are the different the feel is still the same so so C9 C9 for a standard driver C9 and a
Half is probably a little bit light so we’ll pack you up with some extra weights just to get that knocked up to probably around D2 um but then you have the ability to then make it into your long
Drive club by putting these weights back in so what we’ll do is we’ll just make some notes essentially of what you need to do to change it around yeah that’s what I’m thinking good to have
Some notes I know like yeah so I’m not mix it up uh can we wait with one of these and see of course so we see yeah so w so that would be your gamer which side do you want to check what they
Are at the moment oh yeah that’s so what one are you happy with at the moment y that single kick point on that shaft I also have with double kick Point okay so I guess that’s a little different too yeah so there you’re looking at D9 so essentially because
Of the length of the shaft it causes the swing weight to increase basically which is why you being you know 190 G head is quite light if that makes sense that’s trying to reduce That Swing weight to get it better for you basically so is
It that one that you wanted to yeah and it’s it’s similar shaft so it’s perfect it’s just good to know so we are in the in the right ballpark yes exciting there you go so yeah and then we’re happy right that’s perfect you you did the math good tried to
Yeah we’ll call it more luck than judgment so we’ll leave that one on so then we know we are then you’ve got a backup head as well which is perfect um as well as your yeah also I mean when
I compete in long drive I have different setups yes so I yeah and you’ll have some extra weights with you as well yeah so and then when it’s closer to the world championship the competitions they probably going to have like two or three heads exactly the same yeah so in case something
Happened and you can switch you can have like these two with one kind of shaft and then you can have some similar heads with another kind of shaft depends on so perfect yeah so
That’s good the head covers on and it’s covers on my back goes black my Bag goes black yeah looks good so I’m super excited going home and try this one out there we go so we’ve got your backup head there as well so in a slightly different
Setup um and then what we’ll do is we’ll package up some weights for you as well on and then uh if you can do some notes so I y I know how to wait them for the best so one for gamer and then yeah so game all I would
Do is essentially what we can do it was at C9 um entally what we want is another six so is this for the shaft like sometimes people want wait in the Sha yeah so for our for our
Steel shafts and for our graphite shafts that gives us the ability to then um increase the swing weight so we take weight out with the pillar drill that’s just on the side there um and then we can increase with ti WS as well so so you have like everything yes yeah yeah
So with drivers you know it’s it’s not uncommon for us to put hot melt in to increase the head weight you know we can dampen the noise as well um some of our guys don’t like Hot Melt so we
Carry weights as well to then dial it in that way so which is perfect so on this one here just double check so we got the 28s and the three okay so if I grab that other head if that’s okay
Did I put it in the bag or what did I yeah here I was talking that’s all right perfect so that’s an eight hi how do you get these do you know where how to get it uh they were made when the truck had its repairs done so they’re just yeah magnetic
It’s plastic that’s be perfect to have in my golf room oh okay yeah so I’ve got 15 G weight so this will then bring your C9 swing weight back up into round about D2 so we just pop
That in in the 8 G so the back yeah for gaming golf for your normal golf yeah not your long drive to make it even easier yeah so that it’s going to be more similar to the other like the
The X driver or yes yeah so a bit more weight for further back basically so to get that leave leave these threes leave the threes yeah and that’s as simple as that basically but only for golf yeah yeah i’ because we’ve taken normally that normally that is a 12 but obviously because
Your long drive drivers are quite long and we want to maintain That Swing weight that we’ve got here we’ve had to take a little bit out but then obviously now we’re playing you know
With the gamer shaft it’s a bit shorter so we’ll want to increase the head a little bit that’s all even more than it comes because it comes with an 12 comes with a 12 so you put 15 to make
It a little bit more forgiving yeah because we don’t normally we would top up with hot milk oh but obviously because we want the ability to change for you then that’s why we just we’re going to put a heavier one in that’s all so sounds good perfect happy with that yeah I’m
Very happy thank you very much thank you now I can put this one yeah that one there um put it on so I then that’s your spare one as well perfect thank you thank you so much for your help for
Your time when’s your first event then uh it’s in the summer so I think because there are some events in the US during the season but I have decided to go to the bigger events so the world
Championship is the eth of uh August and then it’s one more before that in the middle of July so I’m planning to go for a month to the usa and take two events in a row and lovely and
Spending some time with my coach yeah that’s your game in the USA as well so uh yeah so before that I’m home practice and the training all the hours under the belt first and then yeah and then also
Do my clinics and exhibitions like shows so so I’m I’m going to be busy this year but that’s good that’s good and then hopefully I see you in in June yes yeah we will be here in June
