Not the result that you wanted tonight but what did you make of the performance from the team overall uh first time back together in 5 months um a lot of positives I thought also a lot to learn um obviously with a major competition coming up we have another big game on
Tuesday um you know we need to keep improving um keep getting better demanding more of each other and um yeah I’m sure we’ll be in a good spot it wasn’t all negative but could have gone either way and uh there’s a lot to take from tonight which is a which is a good
Thing not too much for the England fans to cheer tonight I think you got the biggest cheer out there kobby congratulations on your England debut how did that feel yeah amazing I mean uh what a what a much to to make it in against Brazil such an iconic club with
A a country with a lot of history and um unbelievable feeling it’s been quite the week or so for you hasn’t it I bet you can’t believe you’re here making your debut for the seniors against Brazil yeah I know it’s been a it’s been a it’s
Been a crazy week and a crazy six month really but um just taking it step by step and I’m happy to be here zck I noticed that you were the first player to speak to kobby when he came on what did you say to him let do what he’s been
Doing for United um 18 years old you know there’s a lot of 18 year olds in the country that you know are watching him seeing what he can do and you know he’s got the full package so composed so calm so level-headed he’s got a great
Family around him by all means and and great people so the future is so bright for him it’s important that we don’t put too much pressure but just let him enjoy his football and um I’m sure he’s going to flourish Anthony firstly congratulations on making your England
Debut tonight I know not the result you wanted but how did you find it overall yeah I loved it I’ve been uh like I said before the game I’ve been visualizing this moment for so long and yeah to finally get it was amazing and I relished every minute of it like you
Said it wasn’t a result but yeah personally it was a really good day we’ll talk more about the personal performance in just a moment but for the team play against Brazil we knew it was going to be a huge test what was missing tonight it was a big test they’re really
Good team always um I felt like we we were the better team we controlled the ball we just lacked a bit of cut on edge and you know plent his teams like that play on the Counterattack if he don’t score it’s it’s going to be a problem
Late in the game and it proved to be that way it was a lot of changes in attack including yourself coming in with Baya Saka not being there how was it playing as part of that kind of attacking unit yeah good I’m playing with some unbelievable players it’s just
Now getting used to you know how they play I’m so used to the players around me at Club level that I sort to make the same movements and stuff and yeah I’m looking forward to to doing that at this team as well one more game until G
Southgate names his long Squad have you got an eye on getting in that squad for Germany in the summer yeah of course but um you know I just got to take it game by game and enjoy every moment as it comes and hopefully it’ll all figure
Itself out you said in the week as well you haven’t yet booked a holiday just in case how confident are you with the form that you’ve had for Newcastle as well that you can go on and make that sad in the summer I’m really confident I’ll always believe in myself if I don’t
Believe in myself who will um and I know how hard to work day and day out I do everything to be the best that I can possibly be so yeah I believe I believe myself all way it’s been quite the kind of a couple of years for you hasn’t it
Going to playing at Newcastle in the Champions League and now of course playing here for your country too it’s been a fantastic year for me um a lot of new experiences but you know like you said before just getting that taste of Champions League International Football
It just makes me want even more it drives me to be even better and you know next year I want to same de overall for England you said positives but plenty to learn especially ahead of Tuesday yeah definitely another another great test on Tuesday you know these are the games we
Want to play in at International level and uh like I said it could have gone either way tonight we missed some big chances they missed some it was a really enjoyable game to play in um but you know top teams don’t lose two games and you know we need to bounce back against
Belgium and have that mentality so uh look preparation starts for that now what needs to be better on Tuesday the cut on edge like I said I think in most games we’re going to control the ball because of the players we’ve got um but that cut an edge around the final third
Scoring goals getting assists that’s what we missed tonight so defeat for England against Brazil a one-nil victory for the Brazilian side Joe what does this result mean for England I it the result doesn’t mean anything but the performance there’s there there’s things that we did well there was performances
That were good individual performances there was moments I think Gareth will be thinking to himself right that’s something we can work on there um but when we turn over the ball and GTH that’s something that we’ve been very very good at over the years particularly Gareth South Gates teams have always
Very good with the distances from the you the back four or back three whever he plays into Midfield and there’s not much space tonight there was too much space it’s a little reminder when we play against the quality teams we have to shut the back door so there is there
Is things that we can take from the game the headline here at Wembley tonight though jilberto is that we have seen the 17-year-old new Brazilian Wonder kid shine on just his third cap for Brazil he scored his first International goal a special night for him for endrick very
Special for him and uh could have been better for not to see the the young player the youngest one and especially here this is a temple of football is not when to talk about Wembley it’s not just a stadium but somewhere very special and uh he came and Shine for the game then
As we we could see know without fear but why is everyone so excited about him we’ve only seen a glimpse tonight well he has shown quite a lot in Brazil you know his category before he comes to the professional team at Palmeras you know for the Brazil National Team under 20
The capability the ability of uh future Prospect you know and uh I think people start to believe that he can uh become something special but he’s showing that and every time and uh one important thing I have noticed that at palas uh his manager is not rushing in terms of
Oh he needs to play he needs to play despite the the old depression from everybody to put him on the field but time by time he’s getting his chance and perform Gareth I’ve just spoken to Dean rice and he said plenty for England to learn from tonight what did you
Learn I thought there were lots of very good performances um it’s a top level game I think uh We’ve controlled long parts of it uh had as many attempts as them on goal um in the end it’s that ruthless moment that uh that decides the
Game but I I thought we’ve had a lot of players go on couple of debuts few play with very few caps um some really important individual performances for us there was a lot of intrigue as to how the attack was going to do without the
Likes of K saaka Harry Kane how did you feel players such as Anthony Gordon on debut and of course OE Watkins did yeah very good you know I thought Anthony was excellent both sides of his game um you know with 15 minutes to go we we were a
Lot of changes um and yeah I think the crowd at that point were really pleased with the performance you could tell their reaction to the players so of course when you when you lose the game then it turns negative but uh we’ve got to keep context on that because there
Were so many good things I thought Ben chilwell played at left back we know the conundrum and the lack of fit left backs you’ve got it was his first minutes for England in quite some time how did he do I thought very good you know he was uh
Aggressive in his defending um he uh he he gave us that width that the natural effort it does um again we we’ve got to manage him carefully he’s been out for a long time so him and Maguire Jude physically we needed to get them off the
Pitch so that didn’t help the rhythm of the game but I thought Ben’s performance was very good you mentioned the word physically there I have to ask you about the physicality of it as well are they the kind of games and tests your players need to have before the Euros well I
Think it’s classic game against the South American team you know I think in a in a qualifier or a competition there were probably more cards given and um maybe that affects the flow of the game as well but we knew to expect that I thought we played through that intense
Pressure well you know we played from the back really well um so as I said I’m I’m not unhappy with a lot of that performance KL Walker went off in the first half didn’t look great what’s the kind of current verdict on him yeah we don’t know yet he’s feeling something um
But he’s not a player that’s been injured very often so he’s not not quite certain what it is um so we just have to assess it over the next couple of days thanks GTH thank you so Jill it is now just three games to go for England until
The Euros Watkins got his opportunity tonight for England so on Tuesday against Belgium you expecting to see Tony get his shot yeah I think so it’s a lot of pressure on them isn’t it just because there’s not that many games to go the Euros so they know this is kind
Of like their chance to get on the plane so yeah I think we’ll definitely see Ivan Tony on Tuesday he’s a totally different type of player I think he is more like Harry Kane in terms of his Hold Up play but it’s it is a a lot of
Pressure on these guys I I’ve been kind of waiting to go to a tournament myself you get that one shot and there’s so much pressure on you to do well so it’s interesting though we have so many different forwards and different ways we can play um so it’s a good position to
Be in really is he more suited to tournament football Ivan Tony what’ you mean because of his penalties penalties yeah it’s it’s a help it it definitely helped do you know what the problem is for Watkins and Tony they’re both fantastic players but where they play for Aston Villa and brenford respective
They’ve not tested themselves at the Champions League so when you’re looking at them at that level you would just like wish they could have had at least a twoyear spell so you know what they can do regularly against your you know your real madrids your Barcelona you know cuz
It’s it’s a different so when they come and play for England like Jill said they want to impress so much you know they haven’t been to this height yet really and played regularly at the level against these Brazilian Center RS or whatnot so it’s very difficult for them
But I’m sure Tony will be sitting there he’s not he’s not played today I’m thinking Tuesday night it’s my turn now and if he can come in and perform get a goal maybe he goes above Watkins it really is that tight they’re both they’re two both very good players and
They’re promising but but Harry Kane is is is is the number one by far when he don’t play Maybe Gareth will look at maybe playing at Bellingham loose off of there and foden just off him just but there’s there’s options for it for

You were naturalized by the debuting cast from Brazil. Defense was reserve. They didn't even wear a number 9 shirt. You were afraid of them, you only managed to attack when Brazil made mistakes, it wasn't your creation. Bellingham was in the pocket of Paqueta, Bruno Guimaraes and Joao Gomes. Nobody even saw him.
We lacked creativity the only ones doing anything were Gordon and Jude but bad technical players like
Gallagher and Chilwell were stopping every bit of their fluidity. Begs the question Gallagher can’t attack nor defend against top players so what does he bring?
I think what the game showed us was mainoo needs more minutes at international level so we can get him in and settled asap
"I think we werer better" what a joke, if it wasn't for Vini's bad finishing and the post it woud've been 4 x 0 for brazil! they've palyed very well!
CB's are always a problem for England. I mean the manager's pick. I would pick Konsa and Tamori in the back. Mid will be Rice, Mainoo and Jude. This will be a well balanced team.
Why are there men pundits on mens football, it should be all women
Get rid of Southgate and this team will start to cook like champions. He stifles this team and cause them to play like losers.
GARETH IS BORING BORING BORING and NOT AN ELITE COACH.
I think it's cute for a team that has only one world title thinking it was a favorite of a five-time world champion. 😂
Jill Scott adds nothing to these conversations. This is why DEI doesn’t work. You force a wooden individual with no charisma into a pundit job because she is recognizable to a portion of the fan base and this happens. I mean absolutely no disrespect against Jill Scott and her skills as a footballer or a person, but she is NOT a pundit.
I would like to see England play in the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro one day. What would the score be?
If they can’t find a replacement for McGuire and Chilwell, England will be cooked. They should not even be included in the squad.
Foden exposed in the england squad, shows man city are carrying him, massively overated. This england team os sh7t ang southgate needs to go asap
Endrick is special.
Gordon, Rice and Mainoo (despite only a few minutes) were outstanding.
Mainoo did more than anyone
As a Brazilian I tell you: Thanks god Chilwell is not Brazilian haha f*cken hell what a burden of player – Especially with papa Southy psychedelic tactics that rely so much on full backs but at the end of the day it looks more like an old 90s PL football (Runnings, Crossings to the box or running to side goal line and try to pass back o someone in the box. This is disgusting mate, it's football, not rugby. What a waste of generation! brilliant boys managed by a stubborn lunatic.
Lets wait and see how these young England players they perform against teams like France, Germany., Italy, Groatia. If they perform well for 90 Mins and not just a small fraction of a game then I will give priase. They were only on for a few minis. so Judge when they play for 90 MINS.
Lets face it Brazil allowed England to have the majority of play, then pounced when the time came. England too slow in going forward.
Rubbish negative uncreative formation.
England will win bugger all with Wokegate at the helm!
The Afro Brazilian wonderkid kid has potential. Brazil and Real Madrid, he is playing in both the greatest teams of all time.
Anthony Gordon with a massive 🖕to Everton.
Thanks for the mahooosive bargain everton 😁👍from every Geordie Boot boy
Chilwel was shiiiiiiiiit like.
He looked like a non league player from my local womans team.
Koby you made best decision to play for England!!!
