Looking to go three for three and she does mandano off to a hot start evina huge risk going up and over the trees let’s let’s hope that she has enough room between her and the tree wall to get the disc high enough with enough forward projection that is such a difficult

Shot that comes up short so she’ll still be obstructed I just don’t think she would be able to get to this position in two so I think it’s a still smart call at least she had a clear window in front of her to be able to pitch out and

Terry I think you’re right the double is what she’s going to be tapping in but that was best case scenario so she stops the bleeding at a double bogey Missy however tapping it in for par as a two-stroke swing on just the first hole and this is a m massive drive by

Haiti she actually looks like she’s just outside of the second Circle there and it looked as if that even nicked off a tree mid-flight and then gets the back stop tree at the end evina needs to just stay in fight mode L forced to put that on angle and

Plays the skip shot next to the basket making very light work of hole number two you see the big smile from the same green mundano has the birdie luck and she converts so the slight hiccup on hole number four but a bounce back with the birdie on five picking up four out of

The first five Valerie seemingly has this first few holes figured out if this can stay clean she’ll have a look for birdie and she’s done just that a par might be enough to get another stroke on avalina depending on the outcome of evelina’s putt Scoggin looking for some skip action up

To the basket of seven and she gets [Applause] it L cashes it in becoming just the second woman in the field to birdie hole number four she joins a very small Club along with Raven Klein earlier Hansen on the T of8 and that one checks up number eight

Kristen hunting still for her first birdie that one finds the bottom of the basket she moves to four under and an incredibly slow round here for Kristen it’s another birdie opportunity on this par three beautiful execution for Missy Ganon Favorable skip for Hanley and Missy’s first birdie of the day gives her a fourstroke lead over evina Solin in L for birdie and continues to play strong she’s birdied four of the last five and hunting for a spot on the podium and my takeaway from that would be if you’re

Going to layup make sure you really concentrate and focus on the layup the last thing you want to do is layup and still leave yourself with a difficult look Rana mikum on 17 off the rail over the top of the basket oh and she gets that one just barely in

Riding all the rails out here and the crowd’s behind her Eagle on the bag on the T of 10 we’re catching up with our 2023 us women’s champ Kristen Tatar this is tracking to the [Applause] Pin oh from the T of 10 this is low she’s looking for it to check up get a big Skip and that carries right to the pin fantastic ground play for own there she had such a drastic angle with low release we’ve all been there it’s just

Not often that we see Kristen doing shots like that Dean Cary trying to ring it up from the Drop Zone and we finally see it the first time this weakened parring the hole after not making the island deian Cary there’s those logs that are strategically placed as you approach the basket that can stop a a shot short And mundano lighting the crowd up with the CTP shot on whole 12 big opportunity here plays off the back stop a little bit of a roll just outside of Bullseye avalina trying to pick up a stroke on ganet exactly what you were saying Val certainly concerned about it Scoggins

And a can this one she had to just wait for the biggest gallery that was what was wrong own huge birdie I think you’re right Terry it was a bigger Putt and a much bigger gallery on scogin celebrating the entire way in deep in circle to

Missy doing her part to walk away with a par I feel like it’s either low or left side but that one’s on the high right side and mundano will take advantage of the 17-footer for Birdie the tree or the branch that’s down it’s dead and detached evina is going to have to get back to her Rhythm and routine and find her mark on the putt if she wants any chance at getting back up caught up to Missy too far from now when we head into

The Poria area out at Northwood black the Northwood [Applause] Property Texas’s own Lisa fakas on the TF 17 oh and it splashes out fakas tracking right to the pin comes in looks great and it just barely falls out fakas the ace run on 17 congratulations to Stephanie Vincent who became your FP 40 major winner just a few hours ago as

Bals off the chains but I would chalk that up as another opportunity missed and look how much it carried even after hitting that much chain the fact that Val still had that left as a putt was incredible through the appropriate line where it was on just a little bit

More of the left side of the pole but it was too high yeah Solin filters through she’s inside the circle from 40 ft Missy lining up for birdie solid to pull within one of Ganon and the opposite of the other opportunities we recently seen where she’s gone above the basket giving it

Too much this time light on the effort and if the pressure wasn’t enough cue the wind strong Tailwind on this approach for Missy and it’s helpful with that Hiser finish deep breath by Missy as she’s trying trying to set herself up for a par and Ganon will double her lead from

Two to four strokes with just three holes left to play and one thing I’m second guessing now is would she wish she threw it maybe 10 more feet so that she wasn’t going with a standstill kind of turnover as opposed to putting it on a Heiser line the turnover looks to be

All right well what do I know she she loved the anheiser she loved the little turn out of her hand what a shot hitting the Koozie oh off the top oh almost went OB Long oh and that slides out for Scoggin and that will be the difference between her and Valerie for third place as of right now Valerie can put this in for sole possession of [Applause] third genon looking for a major sigh of relief just to put this on the

Island this is wide that’s coming in and on the island a near Park job for Ganon a very clutch sticking of the island for Missy Ganon it l almost ringing it up she finds the island and it really comes down to this moment if evina wants any chance at this

Title this needs to get in bounds and it’s comes up short hits the right side wall evina will go to the Drop Zone you got to feel like that all but and this for Aina line converts on the birdie look and that’s going to bring her into a tie for fifth along with

Kristen ganon’s lead becomes six with one whole left to play Canon throws her second it was important that she released it as high as she did to make sure she cleared those walls of railroad ties is he just looking to put it next to the pin or possibly throw it in for style

Points why not to secure fifth place by herself and she’s done it and knowing the blood of people that are going to be approaching Missy after she takes down this title evina Solin runner up and your 2024 United States women’s disc golf champion Missy Ganon she’s done it a major

Champion ladies and gentlemen the 2024 pdgm United States women’s Disc Golf Championship presented by Mint diss fpo Champion Missy Ganon Missy we’re gonna have to come up with a new nickname what’s it going to be is it going to be major money Missy what’s it going to be what does it feel like to be a major Champion oh wow it hasn’t even set in yet um I’ve just worked so hard

And it was one of the last things I wanted to do um and I hope it’s not the last time but I’m just so happy to finally get that major Win it’s a little different when it’s the the final round and everything matters just a little bit more it feels like um but I don’t know it was just one of those weird days where I was kind of just trying to stay in my own lane but

It’s so hard to do that when you’re just so aware of what everybody else is doing and um you know what my closest competitor at the time was doing and yeah I was just trying to stay in the moment but it was getting tough to do sometimes what what what are you guys

Going to do to celebrate uh we’re going to go to The Cider Cade tonight if anybody wants to come um yeah and just enjoy everything and and not think about anything else just enjoy the moment one more time for your United States Women’s Champion Missy Ganon disappointed it’s over well I’ve got two options for you either you click subscribe and you watch more action right here on the channel or you go out and play around to disc golf yourself either way I’ll see you in the Fairway

  1. Congrats to the winner but can I just say, wow, that was some really lackluster disc golf from the “Pros”. I understand conditions and woods but my god the putting from c1X was atrocious for quite a few “pros” especially you know who… and I love her.. but man, it makes our sport look bad. Putting c1x is the equivalent to free throws in basketball and you know it’s bad when Shaq has a better shooting percentage.

  2. Congrats to Missy. Although Evelina had improved her putting greatly, it appeared like her nerves surfaced again in this final round as things got close. Her putting stroke looked different and tighter than earlier. I think it's all nerves. She needs to work on her mental game. Nerves are not easy to fix, some people just get more nervous than others, me included, so I know. There are mental tricks to combat it though. Still, she did take 2nd place so that is something to be proud of.

  3. What a genuine pleasure it is to watch the outstanding form and athletic prowess of the FPO players in 2024.
The rate of improvement is tremendous, and FPO has become very exciting indeed.
Congratulations to all competitors at USWDGC, you are doing your sport proud!

  4. Impressions briefly – 1. DGPA – to set major this early in season is “crime” against FPO and DG as sport (lack of professionalism) 2. Finnish girls – they are making FPO international; Evelina (still) can`t mentally finish a tournament 3. Ohn – unfortunately she played her best one week too early 4. Missy – worthy winner and focusing on big events like majors she is one to beat this season 5. Kristin – fought like a real champ, but needs to have a deep conversation with herself about own off-season; it seems (from outside), that she was not living in present after last and before next season. Her first win of the season was deceptive.

  5. Must have been a difficult course, if playing even par gets top 10. Eveliina last round +5 and got second place? The MPO is way more competitive, hopefully we get more players and competition in FPO

  6. Congratulations Missy!
That was a challenging/punishing course. I imagine everyone will be glad to get the heck out of there.

  7. Actually Ashley Sloan picked up the par on 17 from the drop zone on Friday to be the first one. It was a great putt

  8. Congrats Missi. I'm genuinely happy for her. There's only 2 people I'd hate to see win on the women's tour. One of them being the cheat Holyn I-think-it-crossed Handley. And the other one? Venture a guess why don't you…

  9. This was an AMAZING tournament to watch!!! Lots of magical moments! Now… I have to watch the F50 final. And is there a F70+ ?? 😂 ❤ YES SERIOUSLY 😂!
