Dan tell me this do the Jets have first of all I’m excited we’re talking about the Jets because I feel like we talk about every other team a million times and we haven’t talked about the Jets at all and Aaron Rogers is coming back did

They have the pieces to go all the way absolutely if if they are those pieces there on December and January I mean this is as talented a roster certainly the Jets have had in my lifetime I’m 40 years old this is the most talented Jets football team top to bottom offensively

And defensively but it’s a giant if I I’ve said the Jets are the biggest finger crossed football team in the NFL this year I think the biggest dice roll of the NFL season right now is Tyron Smith who’s a Hall of Fame left tackle but his health and his age protecting

Aaron Rogers who’s a 40-year-old quarterback coming off of the Achilles injury that’s the biggest dice roll by Joe Douglas the general manager because if he if he somehow hits on the health for both those players this team can go beat anybody in the AFC and if it doesn’t you’re you’re talking about

Massive issues from top to bottom in that organization and I think you’re talking about the offensive line if they stay healthy that’s going to be a good offensive line great wide receiver group if Mike Williams stays healthy that’s going to be a really good wide receiver

Group we know the the defensive unit is going to be really good so I think like talent-wise and on paper potential wise this team can be in the AFC Championship but you are going to have to answer that question or we will have that question hanging over basically till the end of

The season cuz you’ll never know giving the injury history and the age of many of those pivotal players just because it’s a debate show doesn’t mean that every single thing has to be a debate sometimes it’s just about you know a perspective and and coupled with a question that an expert such as

Yourself should be able to answer and I’m going to lean on you for this one Dan olowski here’s my issue with the New York Jets do they have the pieces to go all the way I’m not so sure I’m not going to say definitively yes one of the reasons is

Because we don’t know if Smith’s going to be healthy like you said when it really really counts we don’t know if Aaron Rogers is going to be healthy okay we don’t know these things Bree Hall came back last year nicely but had a nasty injury the year before which

Brought his season into question which is why the dvin cooks of the world and others were on the squad when when he first when pre Hall first got back last year okay so that’s one component here’s what I’m going to throw at you Dan olowski you know when you listen to

People talk about the New York Jets you know that they say that Nathaniel Hackett with Robert Salah I mean oversaw the worst offense in football they’re talking about how rudimentary it was how pedestrian it was how really there’s no innovativeness whatsoever there’s a lot of questions and they they they they

They lamented that the only reason that Nathaniel Hackett is there is because of Aaron Rodgers that they needed to upgrade when it comes to him or what have you now I’m no fan of his as a head coach but I’m not qualified to to to to

Critique him but so much for his work with Aaron roders because Aaron Rogers to me is one of the greatest ever and so if Nathaniel Hackett had something to do with that he deserves credit for that but in the end when you’re looking at teams talking about the Jets and the

Jets offense are you not concerned that the Personnel in from from a coaching perspective really shaping the framework for this offense is not going to be up to snap enough against opposing defensive coordinators and head coach plotting head coaches plotting against them a th% yes and Nathaniel hackit was

Disappointing after Aaron Rogers went down now there’s the reports or the theory that like they had completely built the offense around what Aaron wanted to do and then they had to Pivot and almost went into panic mode I think four months to Pivot the length of the

NFL season is enough to show some kind of progress so to your point Stephen a totally fair I do think like once you enter Aaron Rogers into the conversation and what Aaron wants his offense to be under his control like you know he wants it to look and sound and

Feel the way that he wants so Nathaniel Hackett in many ways it seems to do that um so I think the question of coaching is fair I do like here here’s my my I guess my Counterpoint to that Stephen A is this if we took the quarterbacks right because we know the quarterbacks

Matter take the quarterbacks off of these football teams they’re not in the conversation if we just go on paper on paper right now March 20th or 21st right now this Jets roster I don’t know how many teams in the AFC have a better roster again remove the quarterback the

Bills they don’t have a better roster you know maybe Miami doesn’t have a better Roster Miami doesn’t have a Betty but maybe Baltimore but they lost some defensive pieces maybe maybe Baltimore maybe Cleveland but Cleveland was the one St Cincinnati stepen Cleveland was the one where I felt roster wise can go

Guy for guy top the bottom outside of the quarterback play Ken City doesn’t have a better roster they don’t it’s just they have the guy so that that’s why I sit there and I go like if if the Jets stay healthy and get Rogers that you’re you’re absolutely able to say

Yeah all those pieces are good enough to go play in a title game If This Were basketball we’d be we you could legitimately put the Jets in position to be one of the favorites to win the chip agree but this is football and we’ve seen inferior rosters over

Come better rosters because they had better schemes they had better coaching they had better structure and when you look at the New York Jets those are all question marks so again I I I I get where you’re coming from in terms of their roster uh but there’s a lot

There’s a lot of questions elsewhere and I’m not sold it’s a massive dice roll if it hits they’ll they’ll be if they get the the fortune of the injury bug they’re going to be really really really good if they don’t to Stephen A’s point the the coaching is going to have to

Matter and it’s going to have to be better offensively and if they don’t it’ll be just a completely failed project to Jets how long is the leash you think for coaching you think it’s this year having Aaron Rogers if they don’t get deep into the playoffs A

Change is coming into the playoffs into the playoffs they’ll fire everybody if they don’t get into the playoffs the no I said deep into the playoffs yeah I think I think they got to get to at least the divisional round and I think Stephen A brings up this point often you

Lose to momes in the final minute or two like you can’t get into the divisional round and get wack like the Cowboys did against the Packers yeah would Caleb be walking into a good situation with the Bears it wasn’t a three minute message um yeah I I so I think it’s the best

Situation a number one pick quarterback would walk into in the history of the NFL draft okay so number one defense last year last eight games of the Season you just talked about the additions at wide receiver it’s an above average offensive line DeAndre Swift this is a

Um a a talented roster when it comes to the upgrades when it in the holes that they had they have two picks in the top 10 of the NFL draft so I think to contr contrast this there has been one team in the history of the NFL draft that took a

Quarterback with the number one pick who had more wins than the Chicago Bears did last year the Bears went seven and 10 the only team to take a quarterback at number one who had more wins than seven in the season was I believe the 19 1989

Colts who in 1990 took Jeff George now they had two picks that draft in the top 80 the Bears have two in the top 10 this is a tremendous situation for any quarterback to walk into Stephen A mly I think it’s such a good situation obviously Caleb is so talented I think

There’s two reasons it could possibly fail one Caleb is unwilling to play some boring football at times cuz he’s such a tremendously physically talented player or two his his personality doesn’t mesh in the NFL and for some reason his character his personality his leadership it just doesn’t work out those would be

The only two reasons it fails and and that’s not one more that’s not common what would it be there’s one more I don’t know why see I look like the bad guy when I bring this up I look like I’m just reaching listen bad guy I’ve said

This I’ve said I’ve said that please mly don’t ruin the show by singing here’s the deal y’all and it’s very very important here’s here’s the deal deal and I’ve said this and I bring it up listen I’m brilliant because I know I’m not I listen to those who are and I Lear

From new line I know more foot I know more football I know more football than I ever have in my life from working with you guys you understand here’s the thing that kills me so we just going to ignore the weather we’re going to ignore the windy city and the inclement weather and

Those conditions how it’s much more difficult to throw in that environment than it is in most environments in the NFL we’re going to ignore the history of dudes that are accustomed to to to to to living in the sunshine you understand I’m saying having Pro days with shorts

On chilling the sun beaming down they indoors I’m just say Maryland I I I understand I understand but I’m just saying where he go play there’s a reason he went to play you understand what I’m saying there a there’s a re listen he went to Oklahoma and then after that he

Went to USC we get all that you understand I’m just saying to you for me Dan for me I look at stuff like that because like when I pick my when I looked at Miami I said Miami the only reason I’m giving them a chance is

Because early in the season they had a chance to get home field advantage the second they slip I said they’re done they ain’t going on the road in nicl weather in January and winning this is what they do and so in Chicago you gonna run the football just as much as you’re

Gonna throw it you’re not gonna air it out we see they’ve got Kean Allen we see they got DJ Moore obviously I’m looking at this squad right now they’ve got some DeAndre Swift is De now as well I like what I’m seeing I get that that’s a good

Situation but I’m looking at him and saying to myself yeah I wish he was in a different local more than anything Personnel Wise Dan I get you feeling I got so you don’t think do you think it’s like a an arm strength thing in the cold

Or do you think what like no no just because he played in La for two years I I think more so that La for two years it’ll s for you up bro I’m supposed to I’m just saying man won’t expose him right now he’s got other things on his mind he claims

Milwaukee but it’s real sketch he looks glowing and tan already I don’t even know how that happened I saw the man yesterday and now he’s got like bushes behind him and he’s is he growing his hair out a little bit I don’t know he’s already like he’s he’s just changing Dan

I called him out yesterday and I was like you know what I’ve been working with this man eight years boy has he changed I mean I know the bank accounts changed but I mean I’m always Ste I’m always but but I’m just but I’m I’m just saying when you when you subject

Yourself to those comfortable environments it’s pretty hard the transition you know you’re showing up and Soldier Field every week you understand I’m just saying that’s a that’s going to be tough for him to go to go to Chicago see I don’t think I mean he’s got Firepower in his right arm

He’s a sturdy built dude like he can throw it so I don’t think the weather impacts his ability to throw the ball Chicago’s a great City you said that that went that it’s a tremendous City just don’t go there between November and April but the outside of that it’s a

Marvelous City but the point is D I didn’t hear you I did I did I I did not hear you say that you would take him number one you talk you talking all of that but you talking about taking Jaden Dan number number one I haven’t wavered

From that but but just because I wouldn’t take him number one doesn’t mean he’s not unbelievably talented doesn’t mean that I’m not a fan of his game I think the the young man is an unbelievable talent I think Jaden Daniels is going to be better that’s why

I would take Jaden but I don’t have reservations of like you can make the case I believe Jaden Daniels is from Cali and then played at Arizona State and then at LSU you could make the case for Jaden being a little bit more weather conscious than you can’t Caleb I Believe [Applause]

  1. That's why historically Chicago has been known as a good running team with a nasty defense but that being said… Even if everything you said is true that hasn't kept opposing QBs from throwing for 300yds and 3 TDs religiously. They deal with the field too as any above average qb should. No not everyone is Rodgers is chucking moonballs through 15mph gusts but the fact that Cutler is the exalted one in Chicago just shows the futility at QB. We all know Soldier field is a cold wet rock in December but that's NFC north football baby, get used to it if you want to be a franchise guy.
P.S. Dan Orlovsky has half the skill and knowledge of Kirk Cousins but we all know Dan is still running the most overpaid career here

  2. How is Aaron Rogers different from Russell Wilson? Each and every year you talking heads trot this guy out, put a stick in his back and try to make us think Rodgers is a football God.

  3. The players are there but with alot of risk
Saleh and this offensive coaching staff are complete failures
And no one sees that changing

  4. For the most part most teams carry a minimum of 10 offensive linemen. On 2 teams, 2 OL men complains about their coach and their complaint is that the coach worked them too hard. This is only a problem for people with poor work ethic.

  5. Ammm did we see the hit that Rodgers tore his Achilles? The dude barely touched him. What's gunna happen when he gets drilled by a DB. Smh. He's not going to last. There has to be a backup plan and Taylor is not acceptable.

  6. Is that dan a scrub QB and a scrub at knowing what he's talking about these people at espn are ridiculous it's just 1 fool after the other 😂

  7. The Jets what they’re doing with signing key pieces to their roster of a top 5 QB ever in Rodgers and have a great defense they should make a deep playoff run. The Bears drafting Caleb Williams would be great and the weather wouldn’t be a problem for Caleb

  8. Come on SAS. I know being a contrarian is your schtick… but that's just deliberately stupid.

  9. "F" Aaron Rodgers hes washed up!!!!! Going to love seeing him fail a second season with Jets with another injury!!!!

  10. It will be interesting to see if Aaron plays and if he can get back to form of the his 2021 season. Thats a lot of years ago for a 40 yr old. Plus its obviouse his Achilles isn’t ready yet

  11. Caleb Williams spent the first 18 years of his life in Washington, you think this guy can’t handle the cold 🤣🤣
