The PGA TOUR’s Florida Swing reaches its conclusion this week as the Innisbrook Resort hosts the Valspar Championship. Xander Schauffele tees it up again after his T2 at THE PLAYERS Championship last week. The American has five top-10 finishes in seven events so far this season. He last played Innisbrook in 2022 where he finished T12. Justin Thomas will be in Florida this week and hopes to turn things around after a missed cut at THE PLAYERS Championship. He finished 10th last year and was third the year prior. He’s missed just one cut at the Valspar in his career. Jordan Spieth will also be at Innisbrook this week. He claimed victory here in 2015 and has finished in the top-20 in five of his six starts, including a T3 a year ago. Others to look out for are The Open champion Brian Harman, Tony Finau and Sam Burns.

Cameron Young’s the only player to make the cut in all four Florida swing events he tied for fourth in Palm Beach Gardens in Orlando he was tied for 36th and then last week at the Players my goodness Cameron young how about that from the top of the

Hill has played more PGA Tour events in 2024 than anybody the only one he’s missed is the Mexico open at vant this is his 11th start of the season and look at him at 14 making it from a far how about that from Eric [Applause]

Cole he waited a long time to get onto the PGA Tour he’s going to play a lot of golf Fenson just in front of the green out of that first cut going to get a little bit of run out on this and run on in 168 coming out of a thick

Lie sound like he caught it perf Prett good he did this looks really good if it’s the distance oh what a shot look at that that’s the best shot we’ve seen Steward sink From the Rough Cameron Champ at the eth yeah this twoo looks like a great

Shot and playing the slope how about these T balls on eight yeah after a beautiful t- shot a log Jam a top the leaderboard eight men at this point were at six under par when Brendan Todd was hitting his third at the first it’s a par five Coes it up

There and Brendan Todd would make a birdie the second of two I mean he’s aiming well left to the green here he’s trying to hit something through the Gap and cut it and get it on to the green he did what a shot it almost went over the back but that’s really

Good oh it’s an inside chance what a birdie but the players have to lay back pretty much off the T so fairly long second shots they should have some help with the wind he’s come out fire and he has a CH we’re going to say this a lot today he

Has a chance to tie for the lead and a great one it is right up the hill yep right in the middle boy that is back to back really solid birdies at two and three Brendan Todd has company this could be a boom for him today if he can

Get these clubs going again playing pretty good size draw oh yeah the right Club the right shape birdied for yesterday has a chance for back to back you’d like to pay it off at some point just calm the nerves a little bit pretty comfortable does not look like he’s out of place out

There this is Chandler Phillips college roommate at Texas A&M Cameron Champ yeah he struggles with his putting quite often but that was a really good looking stroke that Hall location just left of the TV tower back there so trying to play a little draw it’s on

A good line yeah great line the right [Applause] Club a double bogey on Thursday a par yesterday and now a birdie at five today McKenzie Hughes has joined the group and there’s the new leader Peter Mady has reached eight under par after taking advantage of the par 5 fifth at the

Seventh he’s going the wrong way need something to happen fast able to go upstairs though that limb wasn’t in the way and gauged it just right maybe that’s the start of something special for Keith he would make that birdie put beautiful he’s got the ball striking [Applause]

Down for a while there I wouldn’t have expected him to be one under it to turn but he is just a perfect Drive 92 yards just a lob wedge oh oh hit the stick and sits right there looking to go a little deeper here at seven just a big Sand Wedge there to

That front right this is very doable it was a perfect yardage too where he could swing full and be pretty confident there that was some helping Breeze today they moved the tea up that h on the right side right about there gorgeous 15 yd shorter Today pretty good line really good line and a good shot the very next hole he made that birdie at the six comes to the seventh and just delivers another Beauty he’s calm and cool doesn’t seem like it’s the first big spot for him yes starting to see some signs of life in

His game Exceptional from T green this is the club that needs to click in absolutely not he had so many good looks at the Players Championship and just wasn’t able to capitalize but he’s got it rolling today delicate third here while we were away yeah but he can be

Aggressive it’s uphill lie into the wind and pretty soft GRE you saw that nice acceleration through their low driving shot and up on the green McKenzie Hughes with a close look to Ty Phillips this one just going to go a little to his left and right down in the

Center ifting down here fo you trust it and hit it another Precision iron delivered by Phillips there’s any issue with his game Nota it’s with this club right here made some confidence Strokes thus far and there’s another one tried out as many as 10 Putters at the start of the

Week but he just drills that home for his fourth birdie in the first 10 holes interesting using a lot of Loft here typically see players trying to bump it up there there you go but obviously felt it these guys are here for a reason wow knew it all the way well that

Is a confident Roll yeah even with his power off the T not able to get within 60 yards of the screen oh baby but nonetheless knocks it in there [Applause] tight straight across the green here not much by the hole looks good looks really good and he’s air eight under bar

Sheamus power joins the group a top the leaderboard we’ve got the fourth for Hughes who’s trying to recover here after what we documented hitting the tree with a second well the recovery was in that third that was very well done now he has a chance to walk out of here

With at least a par Mitchell has turned it on after some earlier Bogies on the front nine and if Keith Mitchell can get the putter heated up he’s going to continue to be a factor what amazingly was the chip in at 12 that got him back into that mode after a

Couple short misses with the flat [Applause] Stick at 18 Keith Mitchell trying to bring it home here can he add one more to his back nine birdie total let’s going in attack mode here from the Fairway he’s eyeing this thing well something in it went in his eye from 151 Y and Mitchell does better than a

Birdie he didn’t even see it very edge of the green going to work to his right oh wow Hughes buries it to jump out of the pack at nine [Applause] under this has got some Pace oh that’s how you do it MTI breaks the par

Streak gets up in there to a tie for third what a finish for MNA Keith Mitchell’s 54 hole lead exclamation point spectacular fashion with a hole out Eagle at the last just the second 54 hole lead of his career produced by that one that landed from

151 yd out so we’ll see you tomorrow for our entire NBC Sports crew Dan hick saying good night from the vbar championship thanks for watching the PGA Tour on YouTube to watch another video click here and to subscribe click here
