But Justin Fields you think he’s a future NFL quarterback what is the thoughts around the N I think so I think you put him in the right situation which feels like this could be the one and of course there are some throws that are like missed by Justin Fields but what

Wanted to go to Pittsburgh was there better offers was this the market kind of how’ that Justin Fields Pittsburgh thing come together in your eyes Chef D listen here’s what I would say about that um basically there were teams at various points that might have had some interest

In Justin Fields but if the Bears had if the Bears had a better offer a strong offer for Justin Fields I think they would have acted upon that this yes he did want to go to Pittsburgh that was his preference but the fact of the matter also is is that they unloaded him

For a sixth round pick in 2025 that could go up to a fourth round pick and he wanted to go there and they accommodated him in the end but if there was a team out there that was offering the Sam darnold package a 46 I think they would have done that they just

Didn’t have it they didn’t have it from anybody else and so when they didn’t have strong offers and other teams that were out there filled their quarterback needs they went ahead and acquiesced and essentially said to him okay yeah we’ll sing it to Pittsburgh and we’ll do it

For a conditional sixth round pick that could go up to a four it’s a nice fresh start for Justin Fields I think we’re all pretty pumped for him Mike Tomlin has you know publicly and I think even you reported on show uh either months ago or weeks ago how much Tomlin likes

Justin Fields feels like a perfect situation and Russell Wilson says hey is QB room about to be awesome so feels like they’re on sa are you breaking news right now is there something happening like literally as we speak uh no there’s always but there’s always stuff going on

Right what do you think is now draft talk or is now still free agency conversation happening no look I think we’re transitioning into the draft pth but the fact of the matter is that there’s still some leftover stuff that’s just lingering out there right so until that stuff uh gets cleaned up then

Never know if these visits are going to come off I think the Chargers now that traded Keenan Allen have an interest in bringing him back and for all we know he’s leveraging these visits into a better deal with the Chargers you just don’t ever really know until it’s done

But as it is right now he’s scheduled to arrive in New Jersey tonight to visit with the Jets tomorrow to then go to Carolina to visit with the Panthers to then go to visit with the Steelers while the Chargers have some interest where he ends up from that group we don’t know
