This is every shot of an 11 handicappers round here at a Ryder Cup venue we are at the belfrey brabers and course how are we going to fair today I don’t know let’s get on to the first T box and see how we do oh boy I’m excited here we go

First hole is a 369 yd par 4 hold on see it wow that is gone left left left right so today is super exciting we’re actually out here for my mate Dan’s birthday so this should be a good round have been informed that it is pick clean and place everywhere including the rough

Today so that’s going to make this slightly easier but overall still going to be a challenging course all right sadly we have not got any shot here not for me anyway maybe someone from the Ridder Cup team could make this big slinging draw around the trees but I’ve

Just got a chip up about 100 yards here so oh as if it’s hit the tree oh no right thankfully we do actually have a shot here about 125 into the middle of the green it’s all I’m aiming for that could be really good that’s all over it be

It’s not all that long but there are a lot of bunkers around that green all right just going to hit a five IR down this one just avoid those bunkers on the left well don’t turn again I should be short of the bunker yeah that’s fine that’s fine all right

Coming out the rough here um got 99 about 140 away need to aim it right because the wind is off the right so oh that’s a bit chunky and left I think that might be in a bunker to be honest we are not in a bunker that’s

Good news got a strange little lie here it’s got like sand all over it’s almost like the bunker leaked out onto the into the rough yeah that’s as good as I could have done from there oh my God just stop rolling my God I have to tap it so much

So we’re actually doing a full 18 stroke hole competition between the four of us so we have to finish out everything anyway um and I think that there’s a fair few parts that are missing that should probably be dropping our first experience with the water here on this

Par five it’s 501 yd long in it’s si113 okay first driver of the day see if we can make it a good one eh wind’s so strong off the right behind us this could go miles if I catch it oh no okay sadly guys um my ball disappeared in amongst the trees so

Houres but you know you know me I love the back nine and we’ve got unbelievable weather for today considering it’s now March like it’s very nice and dry and yeah feels decent right we’ got 100 in here she’s got really just make a good swing here where’s that gone Ben

On the green I think that’s what we could really hope for there God this has got a lot of break on it this one really got to pick a point and just try and roll it through it oh my god I’ve tapped it just stop for one time one time just stop

A threee p from about 8 foot again like if you want to see someone Soul literally being crushed like a can well just continue to watch this video because this greens have got me by the balls hole number eight is the hardest on the course it’s a 49 yd Par

Been a long winter of me hitting through puddles and stuff on green so this is taking a long time to adapt I think there’s definitely some nervousness there we are super fortunate we didn’t hit that any better because we are so close to going in the water hazard all

Right the real question is how do we get this close to the pin I’m going to elect to go under these branches with a pitching wedge here and just sort of like just give it a little chip really just get it over and get it running

Up no as if it hits that one tiny little yeah so if you’re wondering what the difference is between like what a championship Rider Cup course and your local cours is the difference it’s like night and day I mean there’s like 50 times more Hazard all the bunkers are so

Much better placed in general the greens are lightening quick it’s just a much much more difficult experience go in no oh my God it’s Li out why why we’re in for a five come on hole number nine is a 402 y par for and it’s si7 where is it oh it’s straight down

The middle i’ I’ve hit a fairway no no it’s miles bind I found a fairway embarrassingly before this round started I was asked what I would shoot I said 87 plus 15 I’m currently plus 13 so I’ve got to get around the remaining 10 holes in plus

Two sounds optimistic but we could do it let’s get to it all right pins at the front 131 yards away I think I’m going nine iron all right well what an approach shot this is I’m so glad that I actually get to enjoy it from a fairway

On the channel but you know what we’ve done it plenty of times in the last couple of weeks where we started bad and then we’ve just got really good I’m not disappointed with how I’m striking the ball at all today which is usually my weakest area is putting it’s the putting

That is so so difficult and I’m feeling a little bit more dialed after that one putt if we could get Maybe say let’s say we get three aiming for three one pots on the back nine yeah I think that we’re going to I think we’re going to do much better of

Course we’ve got a little bit of a bottleneck so we’ve sat down in the halfway Hut got to say these sausage rolls are pretty epic they are delicious and then I’ve also got myself little cappuccino with a shot of Bailey in it and for when things really get tough the

The monster but I’m not going to drink it all in one go because I don’t want to have the Jitters over the putter because literally any Jitter is going to send the ball an extra 30 foot past the O and we are now coming up to the famous 10th

Rhythm in my iron swing but everything else is suffering which is usually the other way around because my iron swings are usually trash and I just don’t feel like I can hit the ball but now it’s getting off the tea is the real issue which isn’t something I usually suffer

Do we feel we’ve played well I mean the score is pretty atrocious as you have seen however I think there are a lot of positives to take away from this number one my iron striking today has been so much better than any other video I’d say I was just saying to Oakley actually

This is such a weird thing to say I would say this is probably one of the best rounds I’ve played this year like in terms of iron striking if you took out all the three parts because at normal course which I’m more used to playing where the greens aren’t quite

This quick I would probably only make maybe one one or two three puts accompanied with a bunch of one Parts where I’ve only made I think one one today maybe two and then I’ve had two driving penalties one which went out of bounds and then we also had the one that

Hit the trees and disappeared that I had to take a penalty for so I think there’s a lot of positives I know it’s a weird thing to say but I think my short game’s been pretty good so I’m actually walking away relatively happy with how I’ve played which you which you might think
