I’m truly honored. To be honest,I still have a long way to go, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to be here on the show. I’ll answer anything what you want to know about… I’ll do my best! In order to keep the authenticity of our usual off-the-record interactions, I’ll speak casually.

Just as I normally do, I’ll address Director Ko Hee-jin as ‘Ko Gam (meaning Coach Ko)’ Director Ko Hee-jin usually calls me ‘NooNa’ in personal. We’ll keep our conversation as casual as that. STAFF : It’s the first time I’ve seen you drinking on the air.

We focused a lot on defense and blocking training, so I think we’ll be fine as long as our defense doesn’t collapse. Coach Lee Kang-joo prepared a lot of defensive drills, so we practiced them. I think we achieved good results because the defense supported the offense, which the players have always been good at.

Player Yeum Hye-seon did well, Lee So-young goes without saying, Both Mega and Gia also performed well. All the players did well. I’m really grateful to her for that. The resolve must have been different when starting the 5th round, right? I need to keep the players’ mental state steady. As a coach, I hated hearing things like ‘CheongKwanJang has weak stamina’, ‘they collapse from behend while going well.’

I was angry when I heard that. It also hurt my pride a lot. But that wasn’t something that could be overcome with training alone This is an aspect that requires separate mental training. So I showed the players various videos and talked to them.

I’m not sure if it will be effective. The players will know. Is there a particular video that you remember? Yes, there is. It’s a video of a UFC champion speaking. He says, “Do you want to become a champion? But you’re tired? Then don’t do it” It’s saying not to make excuses or reasons.

I emphasized to our players that if they want to achieve something, they don’t need reasons or excuses. They just need to do it. I stressed the point, ‘How can I win without being as prepared as others?’ It seems like the players are starting to change little by little.

Actually, it was an injury that people in the know were aware of. I kept enduring it. But suddenly I couldn’t throw the ball with my right hand. Was it that you couldn’t throw at all? Not even pitching the ball? Yes, I just couldn’t throw at all.

So I got an MRI for the first time and the doctor said I definitely needed surgery. I had no choice but to have elbow surgery.. But even as a coach, you kept on pitching? Coach Cha is probably among the top three leaders who throw the ball the most during training.

You’re giving a sensible answer. Fans don’t know how many balls a coach or director pitches a day or how much they use their shoulder. They don’t. Simply put, for the players to catch ten balls, the coaches have to throw more than two hundred.

It’s not just one round, it has to be repeated continuously during training session. By doing that, enduring the elbow pain, I eventually had to have surgery. The position of a director involves countless tasks. Among them, the 30-second strategy time is a magical moment where you have to lead the players’ hearts.

Is there a particular strategy time that stands out in your memory? When I think of Coach Ko Hee-jin, there is something that come to mind. Go run and come back!!! I was just about to say it Go run and come back!!! Hey you guys go run and come back!!!

Each game is important because we’ve been preparing throughout the offseason. When the players cannot performed well, It’s the most regrettable and infuriating situation as a coach. How do you two deal with stress?

I relieve srtess by calling Coach Cha Sang-hyun and Kim Jong-min The three of them are from same high school, Masan Jungang high school. We really talk a lot on the phone even during the season. But we usually contact each other when the game results aren’t good.

He sent a message to cheer me up when I’m having a hard time. Coach Ko : Hee-jin, Always stay strong! We must compete against each other, but I wonder if I can do the same for him as a friend, just as he has done for me? I learned a lot from him.

You need to do better for him! I’ll give you one more chance. He’s one of my favorite friend. What is your determination for the 6th round? Please go ahead. because I’m 4th, you’re 3rd. If we work hard in every match of the 6th round, results will come.

I don’t want to play the games worrying about the outcomes in advance. If we remain faithful to the process, the results will follow. With this mindset, I will strive together with the players. I told the players, “It’s frustrating that our team’s unique color isn’t showing.” “I wish we could play with a brighter attitude on the court.” By doing so, perhaps we can do well in the remaining games.
