What’s going on everybody Welcome to the round four Showdown show here for The Players Championship quite the final day setting up tomorrow we got some big names up top uh should be a fun day tomorrow heading into this uh Big T you got a pretty big team pretty good team
Up there in top of one of those contest uh how are you looking going into uh round four tomorrow yeah Saw Grass obviously three years ago was the Millie maker and we got another real nice sweat going into Sunday where actually Todd who won the Millie too run run pure guy and been
Around the industry for a while I think he has me blocked a little bit in the 3K but I think I got the second best team in the 3K where I need men wo to go low because our only difference is men wo I got minwoo and he’s got sewo and
Obviously SEIU is whooping him right now but the rest of the team’s really good I mean hii Burns Connor Harmon gim gim was awesome today yeah uh yeah I mean there’s not many six to six that’s what Saw Grass the nice part of Saw Grass is the variance because you get some guys
That are really solid miss the cut struggle and you get guys that can just blow up with good scores too with eagles out there all over the course there’s Eagles I love how they set the course up today too where they give you some chances like the driveable part four
Where if you miss it goes in the water too it’s just a good course I I I I like it because I’ve had success here but I also like it because it’s great for entertainment there’s just so many things that can happen out there I’m sure the players kind of hate it too
Because you get to 16 17 18 there’s a lot of things that can happen out there especially if the wind picks up at all which it hasn’t really played that big of an impact yet but it could it’s going to be a fun day though I’m excited
Because it’s always fun when you’re main team does good I got it in all the single entries and the 3K which is is nice hopefully we can finish strong yeah for sure I was listening to PGA radio yesterday and there was a guy on there talking about why the greens were much
Softer and there’s more scoring this week and that’s because they actually took out the sub air system that they they’ve had in there for the previous years they took it out last year for some reason he didn’t really know why they took it out but I think that has a
Big big role in why we have so many guys uh that are deep in the scoring here usually we see a winning score in that 15 to 17 range and there’s quite a few guys there already heading in Sunday uh we’ve got uh 12 11 guys 10 under better
Heading into the final round uh so that’s pretty crazy do you have any thoughts on that uh them removing the sub air it’s pretty crazy from my perspective yeah I don’t really understand why they did it but I like it I mean just to be honest when it’s a
Course like this I don’t love birdie Fest but I don’t consider this the same as like when Ram was like it’s a putting contest like this isn’t a putting contest here this is a ball striking contest where if you hit it straight 18’s a perfect example when you when
Everything’s on the line you got nowhere to bail out left is water you’re dead right is trees and that’s where they keep bailing out into is the trees but that doesn’t help you because then most of the time you got to pitch it back to the Fairway and you’re still hitting
Three so it’s a perfect hole where but if you do hit it straight with conviction great chance to make birdie and that’s why I like the I like a lot of these Pete di courses because yeah it just opens everything up and I have a feeling that tomorrow plays a little
Harder I I don’t see these scores like I’d be stunned if the winner got to 20 I I don’t I don’t think that happens especially with the guy that’s up top now we know what he usually does on Sund me let me pull this screen up too while
You’re talking yeah saw grass was actually built pretty much the same within uh within two or three years I think a Firethorn uh you came out and played Firethorn a couple years ago kind of the same 16 17 18 or rather the same we don’t have a an island green here at
Firethorn but uh a semi island green where waters on the left and then waters on the left up 18 and we’re almost getting there one of these times I’ll find the right one to play I don’t know how to do it it’s gotta be somewhere in
Here uh now I got a big old mug in there we go yes got you yes you got it baby I got so uh we can look at the top of the leaderboard then here kind of dive in we’ll dive into these top three guys uh we got Xander up
Top I mean he gained over three Strokes putting today we know what Xander’s typically done on Sundays too when he’s uh either has the lead or within one or two of the lead it usually doesn’t go well for Xander uh he’s priced at 11,000 flat with a one shot lead over Mr ham
Willam Clark um I thought he was gonna run away for from run away with this for a while when he birdied one to start off the uh the event there or the third round and then whole two he pars the par five so had a little bit of pull back
There and then he actually ran into some trouble on 12 uh he tried to drive the green on 12 12 found the water to the left somehow made an an amazing up and down there to save par on 12 then he makes a bogey on 17 coming in uh Mr ham
Is 9,800 and then we got your Guy Brian Harmon right there the dude just was AB absolutely unconscious to they minus one hole where he had a couple bad shots on the par five ninth there he took bogey but I mean the irons were great the putter was great he gained over three
Strokes putting gained over three Strokes with the irons too uh I’m personally going to be fading uh Xander up top tomorrow going into the final round and haven’t quite made up my mind what I’m gonna do with uh winam yet 9800 it’s a fair price tag uh kind of depends
On what I want to do with these guys a little below them but I think I I’m probably gonna play Clark and Harmon what’s your thoughts on these top three guys yeah it’s the gift that I love for round fours where you got Xander in the lead
You got him going to be high owned because the leader always super high owned and it’s Xander I mean the dude doesn’t close it’s a gift even if he somehow like he does have a little lead I mean we should talk about that take away wendam and Harmon he’s got a four
Shot lead over these guys and a five shot lead over Scotty which matters I mean a five shot lead there a lot of Strokes I mean Scotty’s good Xander I mean Xander should beat Scotty a 100 out of a 100 giving him five or close to it
But I I mean even if he wins like I could see a world where all three of these guys kind of play pretty neutral like we’ve talked about the last few weeks and there’s so many Eagles out there other weeks where we’re like okay how many birdies equal first place that
Type of thing we talk about it every week on this show you got Eagles and stuff out there this week too I don’t think Xander and these guys all three of them I’ll put them all in the same bucket although Harmon’s 3K cheaper than Xander if they play neutral and Xander
Finishes 16 177 18 under same for Wendy they’re not going to be on the winner I don’t think I I don’t think that’s enough score so I for me think Xander is like one of the easiest leader Fades I’ve ever seen in my life I just if he
If he shoots two or three under and wins I’m still not 100% sure he’s in the winner just because I think he probably will be if he gets to 20 and he wins I mean more than likely because just the scores and stuff but I don’t think he’s
Gonna shoot 300 and win so I’m gonna fade him he’s 11k and I know Scotty’s in the next group but there’s no way I’m playing him over Scotty even though Scotty’s been banged up with the neck the dude is still in 60 still 12 under and what happens when he wakes up
Feeling good and goes low tomorrow he he still looks good I mean I I I am for sure fading Xander I’ll take him out now which gets me to the next two Wendy and Harmon I mean Harmon is my boy first of all he’s come through in I think 300K
Hits for me and the Millie Ridder cup 100K he always comes through for me and I’m just gonna be honest I’m a little partial towards him but he looks dialed into me he’s rolling every Putt in dead pure and I know all the stats guys will
Be he he gains seven strokes on the greens and this and that the problem with that is Harmon is like Denny McCarthy and these guys when that putter gets going he’s a great putter so it’s not fluky as other people the guy has the nails with the putter if you got a
10-footer to win something you want Brian Harmon hitting that putt I promise you doesn’t matter if he’s in contention or what the dude is nails with the putter so for me he’s the near lock button I mean I’m playing Harmon I actually I mean what is what’s his win
Odds I think the guy wins the tournament what what’s his I’m gonna pull that up right now I’m pull it up too while I’m talking he’s 6 or 550 five 5 to win to win and I love that bet I think he wins the tournament so I’m a near lock button
On Harmon like I said though I am a little partial so take it with a grain of salt I love him he comes through I do eyeball test though I I do feel like he crushes too so it is what it is so then wendham is the tough decision for
Me I think I’m going to do one of those where I just leave him in my player pool but I don’t think he’ll be a main team play for for me unless I see some as we go to the bottom and there’s cheap guys and stuff that we can play and he fits
Maybe I leave him in there I’m kind of neutral on him I’m not for him or against him right now but I am definitely in on Harmon yeah I’m right there with you uh and Harmon he started out with an even par round in round one didn’t play the best round one really
Caught fire on that back nine on round two where he cards a 65 and then he backs it up with a 64 so I think Harmon is uh a great option still at AK flat I think I’m right there with you I think he’s going to be trying to win this he’s
Got a major already so he’s already battle tested in in the the trenches and stuff so definitely in on Harmon with you right there uh just played absolutely phenomenal golf today so in on Harmon I’m I don’t know if I’m gonna play that much Clark either because
We’re gonna get down here a little bit uh I think Hai could U outperform him too so that’s a guy I would uh think I’d rather play him on like a main team or something so mainly it’s just Harmon for me up top here on these top three guys
I’ll probably have some Clark in there as well like if I’m doing 20 Max or 150 or something definitely would still probably have Clark in the pool and then we get down to these next guys uh just hit on these next four guys I think I
Think it’s it’s down to Scotty and the these twelves and 13s are the only guys I think that can come back and win this uh most notably looking at Scotty here he’s priced at 126 uh he he’s definitely not 100% healthy though you can see that
But uh he reminded people why he’s the best in the world as he uh birdie 16 17 and 18 coming in to just let people know he’s still there and he’s still a threat on on the Sunday so I’m in on Scotty he still gained putting I mean that’s uh
What is how many rounds is that in a row it’s he gained uh he didn’t gain round two I guess so he’s gained Strokes putting in I think six of his last seven rounds so um the Putter’s right there if he can somehow get a a hot putter coming in
Like he did with that good putt on 18 that he made if he can make a few of those early tomorrow and kind of put some pressure on these guys uh definitely like Scotty coming in tomorrow uh the price tag should kind of keep some people away too as you’ve got
A Zander right there I think it’s GNA be really tough to play Xander and Scotty so I lean Scotty definitely over Ander there and then theala I’m going to be off theala tomorrow it was just a a nuclear putting around from him today I don’t think he can duplicate that on the
Greens tomorrow he was break even with the irons he lost off the te lost around the greens just made every putt today so I’m gonna be off fala tomorrow and then Fitzy too Fitzy ended the round strong uh he’s a guy I’ll probably just leing
The pool he’s got a fair price tag at 88 and then M’s got a fair price tag at 77 he played great golf today just had the one bad hole there we hit a bad Iron shot on 16 made bogy there but otherwise he was five under bogey free the rest of
The hole so in on MAV and then Scotty are my top two favorites in this range yeah I mean Scotty I’m definitely worried about the injury a little bit but in Showdown we have enough cheap guys that I could play Harmon at 8K let’s let’s just pull it up just so I
Can have my exact numbers for sure how much do we have if we play both if we play Scotty and Harmon we still got 7350 for whatever else you want and I mean you can do whatever you want with that so I I love Scotty it’s not GNA be a
Lock button last Sunday I feel like we really did well but I locked Rory like a donkey and he just sucked so I don’t think I’m going to do that I might lock Arman but I’m not locking two guys anymore on a Sunday it’s just stupid in Showdown because obviously it’s great if
Both guys nuke but when it goes like Rory because I think I still won money and I had Rory on every team so when that happens you feel like you really left a lot of money on the table because I mean you just should have done better
But so I’m definitely gonna play a lot of Scotty I don’t I don’t know how much until we kind of see how the builds come together but I think finishing position or starting position going into the round means less here I let it in the beginning but I think it means less than
Almost ever because and the Masters will play that way too I think where there’s just four par fives they’re just scorable just like at Augusta so I think there’s going to be low scores I I think there’s going to be four or five mid 60s tomorrow at least and I’m gonna chase
Birdies more than finishing positions I’m going to hope Harmon and Scotty and a couple of these guys finish up top but the good part for me I don’t love these guys I felt like MAV we both like MAV he’s been pretty lucky though just watching him he’s had a lot of luck and
He’s 7,700 that’s that seems expensive to me for MAV honestly I don’t feel like he’s in very good shape he’s gone I’m not playing Fitzy I kind of feel like he’s been there I’m with you with the gala I like him more than those other two but he’s still 8,300 so don’t need
Him then you get to the guys that are a little more affordable Lashley Poston Montgomery all in the top 10 all in the 7ks I’m pretty neutral on them just like wendam I’m not on or off I don’t love them though like I said I want to chase
Birdies from a little further down when we when we flip to look at the prices we’ll see who’s in these guys range see if we can find some pivots Hideki I need him on my main team so I’m probably not going to play him much Showdown because
If he does good I’m going to do really good with the the main team having him in there but I don’t mind him I mean in Showdown I don’t because he can go low he could easily shoot 65 and finish second or something here I could see that easily climbing the
Leaderboard so and if I didn’t play Scotty like on nons Scotty teams I’m definitely okay with Hideki in there for sure so let’s move down to the next the 11 to the 20th range or whatever yeah for sure uh right there on 11 the 20th
Uh I was I didn’t say anything about gim but I definitely like gim deoro he gained Strokes TD green he gained Strokes on the green so definitely I’m in on gim tomorrow at uh 7,300 it’s a great price tag uh uh we got Rory down here too
Uh uh we could see one of those rounds where uh Rory kind of does his little 65 and back doors the top five and everybody says that he played so good and so but uh I think he’s a great round one and round four Showdown play for
Rory is uh he’s just got too much noise going between the ears in rounds two and three it seems like he can never back up a great start like he shot Seven under on round one so but no pressure on him here I think uh he’s a good play this
Week or on round four he’s got a price tag up there that should cap his ownership uh right at 112 so yeah right there um looking at some of these other guys CT pan is a great upside birdie maker I mean the irons were just phenomenal from
Him today gained over two and a two strokes approach he lost over two strokes with the putter there so uh I think CT can put a little better he’s up there always a guy I like to throw in for a CHP at 7K always a good Showdown
Play burnsy had a he had a huge day for us today um did kind of stumble a little coming in but uh he still had a great front 90 shot 30 on the front n gave a couple back it was kind of up and down on the way coming in he went bogey
Birdie birdie bogey in his last four holes uh definitely still in on burnsy though I I love the upside 8500 easy to fit him in there I thought he was you had him as a core play twoo for round three I had him ranked number one I
Thought he was the easiest play for Showdown just the way he ended his second round yesterday he kind of found something it seemed like at the end of the second round and just nuked today so he’d Lov to see that um Adam Shanks always a guy you can just
Throw in there I don’t think he’ll play that good again tomorrow but for 6,500 I mean you can’t go wrong with the upside that he’s definitely capable of doing like we saw today with the six under round he he hold out on hold number 12
Though or either hold out or he hit the green and made the putt I didn’t see it so it’s one of those two I know 12 was playing real short today I think 295 so a lot of people were taking some sh some stabs at 12 today today uh n Smith uh
He’s up there too he’s a fine punt play down there 6,400 got domond right there 6100 another pump play I like all these 6K guys just to kind of mix in with your builds there uh what are you seeing here uh 12 to 17
Then yeah I mean you got a lot of a lot of interesting guys in this range for sure and I agree with a lot of the things you said and again it’s going to be a little bit like the Harmon play and I know gim I don’t usually come back
With people after they play as good as gim did today but he’s 7300 I talked about it on the Wednesday show two years or three years ago when I won the Millie he was in contention going to Sunday and he kind of blew up I think he learned a
Lot from that and he’s really good at this course because he came back and played good again the course shapes his eye and 7,300 I think he plays great again and I feel very good about so honestly I think two of my core plays are Harmon and gim
Even though I don’t usually do that when they’re on my main team I just feel good about him so I I love him Oar I mean he obviously is one of the best talents in the world so I guess I would bucket him with hii I
Mean 93 94 they both have upside nons Scotty teams I can definitely see it uh baz I mean beaz I’m going to leave him in there just cuz he’s 7,400 with those other 7K guys Rory I I agree with you Rory can nuke on a Sunday back door our
Top five obviously you’re not playing him with Scotty this week at least I’m not but I want some Rory I don’t know how much I want maybe 20% he’s not going to be a main team guy for me but I like him CT pan continues to play good for us
He’s 7K like you said he really got away from it there at the end but he’s still playing great All Season he’s played great for us so love him Burns 8500 is too cheap for burns it’s that simple I mean he should not be that cheap he he’s I I always put
Him with Scotty they’re like best buddies if you play Scotty and burns I feel like they’re going to do good at the same place is granted obviously I’m not saying Burns is as good as Scotty I’m saying they’re buddies and they play very similar to each other and I think
Burns can just nuke as good as anyone uh it sounds like I’m playing a lot of these guys but I did fade a lot of those guys in the top range because I like a lot of these dudes straa eot and I’m not going to play Schmid Schmid mid here I’m
Not playing him but I’m leaving these three in the pool they’ve all or these two now they’ve both been good uh ekro n Smith or ekro was a 74 n Smith shank damond all sixks all tops top 20 don’t love none of these three stick out that much for me
But they’re sixks I’m leaving them in they can definitely get I think dond might stick out even more to me now I kind of clicked on his uh scorecards last two days he’s only made one bogey the last two days he’s made 11 birdies after a rough opening
Round he was chirping out there too so I mean we always liked it me and you we love the 6100 guys so definitely can be on board with that it makes a ton of sense I’m in on those guys Cory Connor he he struggled today he was one of my
Guys that struggled for me today doubled the first hole came back with some birdies but didn’t play great I mean he hit it in like a flower patch on whatever it was 145 is where he 15 yeah uh I’m leaving him in though he is definitely
Another guy that could nuke on a Sunday makes a lot of birdies Mady I’ll just go through the 24s and then goady 61 I don’t like him as much as domond but we we talked about this last week one of the reasons I did pretty good on Sunday
Showdown I just left all the 6K guys kind of in there all the ones I didn’t hate and a few of them crushed so I’m gonna do that again I mean Mady leave him in your player pool you don’t need him but yeah leave him in and then we
Get to a few guys I don’t love uh gillo Grio I don’t love him sewo is another guy that could nuke I’ll leave him in and Sam Ryder’s in the 6K so I’ll leave him in too yeah like uh na some of those guys I think I would just like cap their
Ownership at like 10 try and get a Sprinkle of them like maybe three to 10 range or something in the minut and Max ranges but yeah I think Connors is really going to bounce back strong tomorrow he he left three of the four par FES with pars today uh and he he had
Uh what do he have one two two Eagles the first two days so I think Conor was he was on at least two of The Greens in two too he three putted at least once or twice on the green for eagle yeah had to have been whole nine yeah he lost a full
Stroke putting on whole nine uh so he must have three he on the green on 16 too oh so it was either Fringe or green so like he I think he did it twice if I if I’m not no he made Birdie on 16 that’s the one he made Birdie on I got
You he was so he made birdie still he had an eagle putt though yeah for sure yeah I love the upside on on Conor there he’s still 88,200 I mean you could make a case one round sample size just looking at his first two rounds you could easily be seeing him price like
8,800 or something so I think we’re getting a little discount there with Connor in on him um Ryder Ryder was a guy that ball strike ball striking was good from him today the short game was bad for him he lost 1.2 Strokes with the short game today so maybe Ryder’s a guy
I kind of throw in there he’s 6600 so he’s another one of those 6K guys you can kind of cap in there uh where is SEIU he’s right there a seven under four under today he Lo he shot four under today while losing a stroke and a half
Putting so I think sewo is definitely an upside guy I need to have in my pool he’s under 8K as well so love some SEI wo in the pool there Guillo was a guy gorillo is actually on one of my best teams that I have going so he ended the
Round strong for me today so hopefully he can kind of carry that Mojo in into tomorrow uh I have gorillo and SEO I think on a team that I’ve got six of six uh it’s up there pretty close I think in that 18 Max tournament or something uh
My my weekend was it’s a uphill battle because I had like 40% zot Taurus and like 35% Henley but I’ve still got some teams out there that can turn it around and make it a profitable weekend we just need to close strong tomorrow uh and
Then I think that’s about it for me I I like Connor’s gorillo and see and I’ll just leave Ryder in there and diving into these 600 guys my guy morawa he’s on that really good team I have that might I know we’ve seen some really bad putting performances from morawa but I
Think today might have been the absolute Stone worst putting performance I’ve ever seen from him he nearly lost five Strokes putting today I mean the irons were dialed in he gained over three Strokes with the irons off the te gained over a stroke I mean you can’t putt any
At least I hope he can uh and he had so many close birdies that he missed today he really could have had one of those rounds where he just nuk kind of similar to Burns I mean if the putter was just anywhere resembling of being an active
Golfer but uh uh Taylor Moore is another guy he’s fine you can throw him in there he’s 7K I think he’s got solid upside uh F now I faded F now today didn’t really burn me 7900 he’s under 8K now so he’s definitely a guy I think you need to
Have in the pool just based on his upside what are you seeing here with these t29s and you can kind of start on the t35s if you want yep uh so morawa coming into the week there was all the chatter of him talking to a swing coach in the Fairway the video
Everyone posted I played Mora week long I liked them I can’t play him on Sunday though at 91 he’s got too much going on if he beats me he beats me yeah I I just can’t do it at 9100 and Jason day same thing I can’t pay 9k for that
Those guys that are in that range but fenale I don’t like fenale but he’s cheap 7900 is a good price for Fen now and we know he can nuke so gotta leave him in Bryce Garnett another guy in the 6ks I mean I’m leaving him in I don’t
Need to comment much single entry I’m not gonna play him but 150 definitely playing him Nick Taylor’s a guy I I I respect a lot I feel like he’s getting better and better each year looked good last year he’s 8,100 though I’m going to leave him in for right now because as we
Get to the end of the show I want to sort by price and then maybe I’ll pull him out because I want to see the pivots and stuff but I’ll leave him in for now you got some 6K guys here I mean nap and Kim h i mean they’re 6K so we’ll leave
Them in for right now don’t don’t have a strong take fleetwood’s in that 8K range I don’t love Fleetwood when he’s this far back I feel like he definitely tanks it I mean same thing we talk about every week on this show if he gets it going
Early maybe he nukes but if he throws a couple Bogies or something up early he’s gonna pack it in and go home so I don’t think I like him sunjay definitely not he’s in shambles don’t play him at all right now he’s fighting it nobody’s got
Luckier in the field than Ry I mean he he dun he dunked it to make the the cut it missed by a foot but he dunked it dunked it today out of the Fairway I mean dude he’s in 35th and he’s made how many shots have he made on pure lock I
Mean and by pure lock I shouldn’t say that because he dunked them those are good shots but you you save lots of Strokes by it going in the hole like that I mean I’m not playing him and I think he’s gonna be somewhat popular he’s played pretty good I feel like he
Goes backwards for sure tomorrow don’t love him uh 6K guys are okay we’ll leave him in for now hogy he made a quad and maybe that took the wheels off I think he made a quad didn’t he uh hogy I’m almost positive he hit in
The water twice on like maybe 18 yeah on whole 18 yeah he made a Snowman on 18 very hurtful he was making a charge for us and then he dunks it in on 18 it was bad performance there I think he price on Sunday too coming off the snow the
Snowman on 18 I just can’t do it I can’t pay 8600 for hogy so if he bounces back he is hitting the ball incredible so yeah next week or whenever I’m back on but I can’t pay 8,600 after after that finish because he has to be laying in
Bed like man I really I really had a chance so yeah that sucks uh man do we just get screwed in this fight I quit watching it after that last fight I think they DED the guy because of the I or something unbelievable that’s terrible that’s one of our key guys
