Hey everybody welcome back to the Great Lakes disc YouTube channel I’m Brian Papa wolf Ry and we’re here for the building a beginner Bag series and we’ve done different brands we’ve done a mix bag uh we haven’t done an all lightweight one so today we’re going to
Look at an all lightweight one now lightweight discs are great for all sorts of different skill levels of players I especially like to use them with kids and developing uh elbows uh we don’t want to you know ere extend our ligaments as we’re growing as our young
Kids and as a parent of two younger Wii ones myself I try to make sure I only give them lighter weight stuff to play with so starting off with the putter uh as some of you may know I like a beaded putter especially for beginners uh especially because we move our finger
Around a lot when we first start so I actually went with the uh dis Mania active line Shogun here this comes in the 160 class usually right above 165 is were the most of them that come into the shop as uh again this would be my close
Range putter so I wasn’t too worried about going too heavy because we won’t be using a full throw with this so I went with the 165 uh Shogun from dis Mania for the throwing putter for the approach disc the Ruby from latitude 64 is a lightweight Putter and this one
Happens to be in their opto air plastic so this is even lighter this is a one40 class Ruby this is great for the developing arm going to be a lot of fun to throw around now a lot of people might have said the glitch too glitch would be a great uh
Throwing or approach disc for a lighter weight putter so keep an eye out for that as well for mid-ranges speaking of MVP and the glitch actually went with the Uplink uh the Uplink is a 55 -3.5 or or really just a zero in my opinion as far as that final number goes
Uh this is a low 160s Uplink uh that we have here in the shop this is very very understable great to kind of push out there and create a little bit of sneak sneaky distance for our slower arm speeds very similar to a soul from Discraft uh maybe
A tus from Westside as well so if you can find any one of those in lightweights that would be a great one Speaking of Discraft the classic buzz in the 150 class and the X plastic I think is one of the best discs you can just
Give any kid to play with any kid to throw uh this is one disc that I would say if you’re going to buy only one disc for your child to to learn or for a buddy to learn learn um I would definitely grab a xbzz at in the 150
Class now there are a lot of great options in the Fairway driver uh realm for lightweight leopards leopards 3es uh Heats uh diamonds lots of options out there uh I went with two uh I went with the Vortex from DGA for my seven speed
This is a 76 neg 31 goes all the way down to 150 very easy to throw highly recommend the vortex creates a lot of distance for lower and slower arm speeds and then uh went a little bit crazy for our our faster one I went with the Avenger SS from Discraft that’s upside
Down there we go Avenger SS from Discraft in the X plastic reason why I like the X plastic so much for a beginner uh it’s very very grippy it’s easy to hold and it’s also great in all weather uh so the Avenger SS 150 class uh great slower arm speed distance
Driver there are a lot of great options for lightweight beginner friendly disc why don’t you comment below your favorite lightweight beginner friendly disc and let me know how I did on building this bag remember to like And subscribe and until next time keep it in the Fairway
