Scores are low today but is this course ever easy no I was just saying there you know I mean I I don’t think you get in any hole and and kind of breathe a side of relief like okay I’ve got a bit of a breather here I can kind of you know
Maybe a wide Fairway or easy second shot it’s uh I just feel like every hole’s got something that that can um you know can catch you out can you take us through the eagle on 16 yeah wasn’t aiming there pushed it um um got lucky
There you go what was the key to today’s round uh just just drove it well uh drove it like I feel like I can drive drive it um that obviously puts me in a great position to you know to hit solid golf shots from there and um and puted
Well as well which is has been something that’s been a bit on and off this year as well so to me it felt a bit more like my old self um drove the ball well ped well and and that’s kind of always been the key to to when I’ve when I’ve played
Well really how long have you not felt like you’re old uh since February last year probably just the there there’s a longer story to it but uh yeah just my uh my uh yeah um yeah just just a mistake that no no one knew about and uh and that’s what
Caused the issue yeah swing wise or in the club yeah in the club yeah so there was a weight in the grip which uh we did some testing within uh February last year and and never never took it out and when so when did you take it out
Sorry this February okay Phoenix yeah yeah so you’re saying there for a test you put a weight in a club and then forgot to remove it for a year we were doing some testing to match up I put weights in the grip of my irons um and it was successful for three four
Weeks and we thought okay well let’s match it up with the driver cuz felt there was a bit of an indifference there so we did and then for whatever reason just forgot that he was ever in there so yeah took a took it out week of Phoenix
And yeah it was uh it’s been drivers felt completely different so so it was only the driver where you wanted it out only the driver yeah and we took it out of the irons as well but we took it out of the irons a a good while ago like
Probably probably March time yeah take it out of the driver so how did you ReDiscover it or remember driver testing and I got a uh I needed a reg grip of the driver the grip was so worn it was like a training grip got a grip regripped at home
Um the guy that did it I’m on the limit of how long my driver is he put a little bit too much tape on so it just bulked up the length so it was too long they said oh it’s too long I took it to titless they regripped
It for me they were like oh you know there’s a weight in there and I almost had a heart attack and yeah how how heavy of a weight four grams and what’s the how do that four grams play in your swing more uh more face rotation more
Kick from the shaft so left left is the popular Miss yeah did anyone get fired absolutely not no no it’s my just as much my fault as as everyone else so yeah no no no no chance what is that feeling like though when you when you’re
Like it’s been a year of this and well I mean yeah it was it basically my Drivin kind of got worse from pretty much after Harbor toown um and we were going back and forth we just very confused swing wise did all sorts you know turns out take the weight
Out of the top of the driver and uh you know I think since Phoenix is when I’ve taken it out I’ve uh yeah I’ve driven it a lot better did you have the weight in when you won Harbor toown I had it in when I won Harbor toown and won the DH
Hill yeah so it was okay for a while well I mean I wouldn’t say it was okay like maybe I’d have won four times if I’d have had it out but think makes sense afterwards 100% 100% because as soon as it came out and I hit the next day
It felt night and day like I could hit as hard as I want and it wouldn’t go left and previously I felt like I’d hit it hard and it would just go straight left so thanks guys thank you
