Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day made it clear after the season ended that the Buckeyes would be looking to bring in a QB from the transfer portal to enhance the competition in the offseason. The Buckeyes decided that guy was Will Howard, and offered him a million dollars to come to Columbus. Now, two practices into Ohio State spring ball, it’s clear that Devin Brown has been the better of the top two QB’s early on. Did Ohio State dump all this money down the drain? With this Sam because they love he’s a likable guy likable guy but I think if you’re honest and I think both of us will be you know a lot of people have him right behind momes but how can you have a guy who’s injury-prone behind Mahomes and I don’t think you can blame

Than what you know all the all the older Generations always bash the younger Generations right but it just seems like we have we have a generation of of of people that that feel entitled to something instead of instead of valuing the hard work and mastering your craft and earning these things where whether

And continue to preach that to kids that are coming in and demand more money uh more playing time or you know basically trying to leverage their position saying or or else I’m out of here it it I’d be a hypocrite if I said that uh oh I hate

That players are asking for money because I’m not if you can get it go for it uh for a lot of these guys this is the only way you’re going to get paid in Life is your skills in college football because not all of you are going to be

Next level I just hate the system how someone can walk in after a year and say pay me more money that’s what I hate I I hate and I throw this hole hey it’s a pleasure to play here it’s a pleasure to play there it is but not everybody gets

That so I’m not going to expect everybody to get it of course we know how special it is we know 50% of the players you talk to a Matt Fus you talk to a Zach Bourne you talk to guys like that who tell you how special it is to

Play at Ohio State it’s a new day and age though it’s a new world it’s not old school it’s not I’m going to walk home I’m going to call an Uber it’s just it’s a new world and you can’t think like you’re a know-it-all or think your Way’s

WWE headline of pay-per-view for a 63y old wrestler where aew would headline a pay-per-view for a 63y old icon at WWE it’s out the door for the new stuff at aew maybe it’s because of lack of star power but I think even though you it it’s hard to

Watch sting wrestle at times bj at least they did stung sting right right correct agreed yeah and I and I think there’s a lot of um you know as we know in the history of wrestling when when a star and icon like Sting finishes his career they generally lose the last match kind

Of passing the torch to the Next Generation in this instance Tony Khan uh even though sting himself understood that he wanted to pass the torch uh Tony Khan stepped in and said no we’re g to do it on on a note where you’re going to win um and uh it’s interesting to see

Because that’s one of the Dynamics that we’ve talked about between aew and WWE uh Tony Khan allows the wrestlers a lot of input into the storylines hence why there’s a lot of zigging and zagging that takes place because if a story Line’s developing and a wrestler doesn’t

Particularly like it at that moment they have the ability to step in and change it where that where where in the WWE the writer has the power to to push the consistency so I guess we’ll see here in the future if that’s still going to be

The case but this was an example of where I think uh uh you know Tony KH and them wanted to make sure 65y old sting went out on a high note um with a victory is he 65 yeah holy cow I’m gonna look right now 65 years that’s why I

Cringe when sting wrestles because he does things that an old guy 64 but he’s gonna be 65 this month so you’re right he’s 65 a 65y old guy I just cring for I don’t want to see it I now Darby Allen took some sick bumps in this match oh

Yeah yeah dude some sick stuff but I just don’t want to see a 65y old man hurt himself that’s why I didn’t get this pay-per-view for me there was no star power and nothing is it is it cool to watch Sting’s last match sure but you’re gonna see it it’s not like

They’re GNA hold it forever so paying money for a pay-per-view with that aew title on the line it just didn’t really appeal to me as a consumer no and it’s you know the the star power piece I think is is the biggest issue that aw has I mean

The writing and and the narratives even if they Zig and zag without a compelling character you know with a compelling star and a compelling character you can get through the zigging and zagging you still have the ability to follow uh aew but without the ability to truly engage

With one of the characters it’s just it if not enjoyable to watch from that perspective and I hope and look the interesting and I think you brought this up a few weeks ago Tony Khan is a fan he’s personally a fan so sometimes that gets in the way of making some of the

Business judgments that are necessary uh to build an organization in a company like aw I applaud his efforts for attempting to build something like he is with aw but I but I do think he’s got to get some better writers in he’s got to have some consistency and he’s got to

Figure out a way to either build or a TR a a young star to make them uh the the true face of aew because that was one of the best things about WCW and the Nitro days and Monday Night Raw was that WCW and what Bishoff did with that was that

They created they had true characters with their storylines that were able to compete and make a compelling uh argument to grab those eyeballs away from Monday Night Raw Back in the day and a just hasn’t done that yet first thing he needs to do is fire himself as

Head of creative you know with vit man and head of creative you could say yeah towards the end it was bad Co didn’t help uh you know Vince I could I think it’s safe to say when aw came in and Vince was wanning creative there was a

Shift in kind of where the wrestling fans wanted to go and what aew was doing and now that shifted back now that Triple H is running WWE but Tony Khan’s a fan and he’s a fan with a lot of money who okay I paid for this product I want

To run the product I think he needs to step down they have a top star issue they have a heavyweight champ in Samoa Joe who probably shouldn’t be champ I like Samoa Joe and they have a challenger problem too who are you going to want to spend your money on

Pay-per-view money we’ll say 50 bucks to watch Samoa Joe Russell blank I don’t think there’s any uh will oprey AATA are you really spending 50 bucks to see Samoa Joe great matches and I’m not knocking in a lot of people on are saying they love they love the aew

Style because it’s more adult I’m all for the style I just see lack of stars and when I see lack of stars I get disinterested yeah you I mean look the fact that the WWE just show The Rock for example which we’ll talk about here in a

Little bit his star power his sheer star power is selling out stadiums on Friday nights and SmackDown as are traveling through the country just because he’s engaged in it Smackdown wasn’t selling out before the rock really got rolling and got involved in Smackdown Smackdown was staying consistent you know it’s

Consistently been the number one cable television show on Fridays but from a live audience standpoint it didn’t have the same Pizzazz as it does now now every time it’s rolling into a city there’s an energy there’s a movement and that’s because that’s a star power bringing a compelling narrative to the

Table aew’s got to figure that out they’ve got to figure out where’s the on-ramp to create that and they can’t do it overnight that’s the other thing patience is what is what requires to build a true car character you know The Rock Dwayne Johnson John Cena Batista uh these names didn’t happen overnight

Sting when sting first came out back in the day NWA even before that he was just he he was just a card wrestler you have to build into the Persona to get people to uh to buy into the character and I think sometimes aew when they Zig and

Zag they they lose the ability to to they lose that patience to to do that yeah you know great Point wllo won that match gotta gotta continue the push there if you’re a don’t let it die like you did before Tony storm chin up tits

Out I mean great thing going set that up when uh the artist formerly known as Sasha Bank comes up I think the 13th she’s debuting keep that keep that going in fact let Thunder Rosa or Brett Baker be spoonfed to Tony storm so you build it even more there’s a lot of thought

That Tony Storm’s going to lose the belt to one of those ladies and then uh uh Sasha Banks will defeat them I don’t I think you got stuff there I think they got to learn how to develop it BJ and they’re not doing a good job but but In

Years ago though yeah no no exactly yeah yeah those are NXT stars from five six years ago that then evolved into you know Seth Rollin you know then evolved into the characters that they are today there’s nobody that I think you could grab from annx today and put them into

The mic that I I mean I I I I was you know for me Scott Steiner on the mic was entertaining uh oh absolutely but you know Rick Steiner his brother Bron’s dad obviously he was more of the wrestler than he was the Mike Mike guy so Braun

Breaker I think the Mike Talent is critical for for Success from going from the middle card to being a superstar you’ve got to have the ability to have the mic talent because you can’t drive the compelling narrative without it the 20 minute Rock promo that he did on

Friday showed uh without any stops that he still has it he still has the ability to he’s still the best on the mic right now um even as he comes out of retirement I you know CM Punk obviously was always a good one um Steve Austin

But but The Rock still has it I think he’s still I think he’s still the on the mic in the WWE well he set it up with a behind the scenes video well produced that he did off thee air talking about wrestling’s cool then he hits Smackdown

With that 20 minute segment uh you mentioned where he acknowledges Roman Reigns in that and it’s so inter because rock is saying wrestling’s cool again because of him he knows how to play the heel he knows how to play this up the thing is is is there’s so many different

Ways that the WWE can take this now that they had the main event for night one is a take team match between Cody rhods and uh Cody rhod Seth Rollins against The Rock and Roman Reigns the stipulation is is if Cody rhods beats Rocka Reigns then there’ll be no bloodline

Interference or even at the ringside if not it’s bloodline rules where I could I could see both things happening I have to tell you I think I see the Rock and Reigns winning to finish the store because I could see totally Seth Rollins come back out and

Start with the bloodline yeah Jay Uso come out start with the bloodline someone from the bloodline Past come out and start maybe the rock turns on Roman Reigns there’s a theory out there that Seth and Roman are going to form their own faction or maybe Seth joins the

Bloodline that their blood you know and there’s a talk that Seth may turn on Cody rhods so there’s a lot of different storylines that are going I mean people are talking about BJ when Seth raised his finger up and kind of did the kind of like what rock did the first night in
