At um we played oh I can’t remember it be the early 80s anyway and you C played the side with rulet and I think Davy’s performance that night stuck with rulet oh the great story about c as well is um as I’ve just said to you his left foot

For a good number of years International level and I played with him at Rangers and he’s first year at Rangers I stand by it was one of the top three strikes Akers in the world at that period um but he’s not going in the team just for

Longevity I’m going for Derek Johnson up front himself because Derek was my hero grown up as a kid I ended up was fortunate enough to play with Derek um his goal scoring record is absolutely phenomenal considering the number of games he played all second half and didn’t take

Any penalties he keeps reminding me so his goal scoring record gets him in just ahead of plus as I said my hero just ahead of Mark kitley and and the and we Mo and of course there’s other great Rangers Center forwards as well me Jimmy Miller and Ralphie brand and all these

Guys as well so it’s it’s virtually impossible one missing and I’m playing on in front of the Midfield and just behind the big Center forward that’s inant inant along with David Cooper two best homegrown players ever played where ever saw I’ll tell you how good inant

Was before his injury both the great um Ray wikins and Gam sunis both said that gerant was the best young player they’d ever seen in their lives and believe me he was without doubt he was box to box he stamina he’s timing the runs into the opponent box was absolutely incredible

I’ll tell you how good he was he got an injury um a career um threatening injury and a career defining injury uh and a and a game up aberin and he was that good he completely transformed his game and turned into more of a passing midfielder um still got himself forward

But he just perhaps wasn’t as mobile as he once was but his brain his intelligence was was his great greatest asset by a 100 miles um and after an an injury which would which would have ended most players careers he come back transformed his game turned into another

Type of player back playing Champions League back playing International Football brilliant player so there’s my there’s my living for you I’ll run through it again as I say I can’t believe I’ve not get Sandy Jan in it there’s guys that I mean there’s just so
