  1. Watched the first 2 minutes of this. What I see is an angry man with a gigantic chip on his shoulder literally shouting at the audience. How on earth he can remain as the mouthpiece for our Tour during such a critical period is crazy. The PGA Tour members must be cringing…Sad.

  2. What an insincere and narcissistic full of BS clown. 9 months and just lawyer prepared talking points with held truths that lack any clarity!! He is not an honest man and could give a crap about golf fans. He only is protecting the PGA Tour and his job. For the players to up with him, he must be offering big cash payouts and/or more threats to wreck their careers if they join LIV. Why did he not talk about how PGA Tour TV ratings are down 20-50% when compared to last year. They have also lost 4 long time sponsors.

  8. to me, what seems to be more obvious every day is that the whole thing seems to be one long, scripted and well choreographed troll. Monahan and many Golf Channel analysts are leading the LIV faithful down a very long, protracted journey filled with infrequent painful announcements which are designed to provoke and ire. from my observation it seems to be working.

  10. More people are playing golf across the country and probably globally, but less are watching it because of the division. Case in point, you have the world no. 1 player, Scheffler, winning by 5 shots, but the ratings are 30% down from the same round last year. Even with Tiger playing the Genesis, ratings were down from last year, and we all know the Tiger effect largely impacts the game and viewership. Then, the LIV tour team names are just gimmicky for a game that has such history…Crushers, Aces, Fireballs, Majesticks. Rangegoats?! The guys that went to LIV were smart for the fact they are cashing in on generational wealth. Other than that, and not having to play every week, I don't know what else is so compelling. It's exciting seeing new players rise from the Korn Ferry, however, the fact remains that until they regularly perform or win, they aren't a household name. If Koepka, DJ, and Rahm would have been in the Arnold Palmer field last week, perhaps creating more competition for Scheffler, the viewership would more than likely not have been down as high as 30% from last year.

  11. Absolute dribbling corporate spin most of which bares little resemblance to the reality on the ground. Bottom line – fans want to see the top players in the world competing with each other on a regular basis with a clearly defined ranking system that reflects talent properly. We're not even going to get that in the majors because of the mess of the OWGR. This guy is not an adult – he is clearly out his depth and has been reacting to events ever since LIV was launched. We're into March and still no sign of what this deal with the piff looks like. We need a visionary to grow the game of golf worldwide. How can he begin to claim the PGA tour do that, we now have a number of PGA 20m signature events that, to me look, exactly like the LIV ones. Most of the personalities are playing with LIV? Please somebody get rid of him before he ruins the future of golf.

  12. Let's just accept two tours running concurrently (like the NFL AND AFL). Players play on an order of merit with a view to a matchplay tournament at the end for the top four players from each tour deciding who the Superbowl Champion Golfer of the Year is. We could also have relegation and promotion play-offs from the feeder tours of each – DP World for LIV and Corn Ferry or equivalent for PGA. This sort of Pyramid would create meritocracy and allow new fresh talent in to the big leagues. Fans could follow their players like they follow a soccer or american football team. Players would sign to their respective tours for a contract of 3 years. Each tour would have 70 players and 30 events with no cut running from Feb/March to September/October in a clearly defined golfing season. The top 50 players from each tour would qualify for the 4 majors and maybe The Players These would be the only tournaments they played in together apart from the tour matchplay finale and of course, The Ryder Cup every couple of years.
