Neil Marr from Meldrum House GC tried a little experiment with range golf balls that were kept warm inside the range building all night and a few that he left out on the range in the freezing temperatures.
There was a reasonable difference in the distance that the ball was flying with his driver as you can see in the video. There was also a huge difference in ball flight The cold golf ball really did not have much energy, it died much sooner into it’s flight.
