Welcome to the press conference with Raul Pera uh Raul welcome back to the Mexico open at Banta uh how do you feel for this edition of the tournament um definitely I feel great it’s been a long three weeks that I didn’t play definitely playing my first two events
Uh American Express and Troy Pines um was so exciting for me and definitely coming back to the Mexico open as a p tour member means a lot to me so it is very exciting to be back in in in PTO viarta and vidanta and definitely in front of the home crowd
How to change the mindset uh for this Tournament being a rookie player on P tour there’s nothing to change pretty much I’m not a rookie anymore I’ve played two events um and definitely last year really brings me a lot of good memories where I can feel comfortable
Around the course and just I can slap it around but I’ll make a lot of pots this week how important is for Mexico to having this kind of tournaments it is huge it is huge for the growth of the game it is huge to keep showing the younger Generations that we have coming
Um in the the near future to pursue the the game of golf uh definitely having the Mexico open having a a PID Tour event or two PID tour events in Mexico it it means a lot for the sport in general for for the country you know so
Being able to put more kids out there and and show them than you know being in the big league it’s possible uh tell us a little bit about your your goals for this season here definitely I would like to keep my card it’s definitely something I’m I’m I’m playing hard for
It trying to NFI like I’m new at here for so many events the first event I went and bought a couple of souvenir I’m trying to put it in my in my apartment but definitely you know I’m not an expectat anymore I’m one of them and um
I would love to to get Rookie of the Year I think that would mean a lot be you know Rookie of the Year my first year out here of course and definitely the first of many what’s going to be the key to have a great uh great week here
At Banta be patient be patient I think the course is playing different than last year a little bit I think the wind direction has changed due the the time of the year that we’re playing it’s a little softer but definitely the course is in great conditions and I’m not
