Hello I’m Sue shapot and today I’m in the Twin Cities in Minnesota and in this video I’m going to talk about whether I think you should wear a glove or not when you play Golf the short answer to whether you should wear a glove or not

Is it’s really up to you um probably on balance I would encourage you to wear a glove and there’s a couple of reasons for that one is that when I’m wearing a glove I just feel that my left hand is a little bit more snug and secure on the

On the club so you know the glove if it’s if it’s a good glove it’s going to have a little bit of tackiness to it and so when I take my grip then I really feel that I’ve got a little bit more control of the club with it I also feel

I can grip a little bit tighter when I do that and gripping tightly gripping firmly um you know within reason is a good thing because then it means that your swing is going to be a little bit more more powerful now if I hit balls

Without a glove on then I feel that I can’t quite control the club as well I can’t quite grip as firmly with my left hand as I can when I have a glove on and so generally I can feel the club moving a little bit in my hands at impact if I

Don’t quite get it square and I feel I lose a little bit of power so I’m a big advocate for wearing a a glove now having said that if you don’t like wearing a glove then don’t wear one if you do feel you do just as well without

A glove then that is great but on balance you know with everything being even I would I would tend to encourage that you wear a glove now if you do wear a glove and here’s the part two for this if you do wear a glove then the glove

Needs to be really really snug so it should feel like a second skin the first time you put it on and it should feel just a little bit too tight so that when you clench your fist you can really um kind of feel it stretching a bit and you

Want it really snug so that your grip stays controlled in your hands if the glove is too loose then it’s not really going to serve the purpose that it should and you’ve actually got more chance of getting blisters with a loose fitting glove than probably with no

Glove at all so you know when you go into a shop you want to to feel that you’re getting a glove that is really snug all the way around so really tighten that thing up so that you if you are in a glove you’re going to get the

Most out of it so I’ve got my glove on today which means that my swing should feel pretty strong it’s early in the season but just having that glove on really does feel nice okay thank you very much for watching please check out some of our other videos and if you have any

Comments um please feel free to just put them in the comment section below La
