Welcome to shorty super coach how are you guys we’re getting pretty close now it is uh well only three days probably two days by the time I actually post this video till the real stuff really begins all due respect to round zero it was reasonably a success big crowds and

Alterations we’ll probably have for our side but I wanted to look at um the Midfield today so yeah for anyone who’s not aware of these videos I I try and go through every player that you could possibly be thinking about so if they’re in at least 3% of teams I will talk

About them so that way I think it’s the best way to kind of cover off on all the players that you guys are thinking about out there with just a 30 seconds minute sort of summary so I will time stamp this one so feel free to check that out

If you’re looking for anyone in particular but the Midfield is one of the bigger ones so I’ll get straight into it we’ll have every single line um done by tomorrow but yeah Marcus bonell I mean he’s bloody expensive don’t get me wrong 724 is a fair bit of cash on

One player but he is the best player in the game we had my draft night the other night and he did go pick one I would have had him pick one he’s definitely a superstar I mean he will certainly be around 650 at some stage in the year

Maybe even 630 you never know but I totally understand if you want to start him I haven’t just because structure-wise that’s the way I’ve approached it but he’s a superstar so you can definitely start with him Clayton Oliver has snuck into three perent of sides and look it’s great to

See him back and that but with the pre-seasons he’s had and you know lack of it really he’s barely been training working pretty hard recently but I think he’s a good opportunity to start somewhat slow and we could pick him up a little bit cheaper but even if he

Doesn’t we’ll look to pick him up at some stage but there’s too much risk to think about starting him in my opinion Peta man it must have been greas the night cuz I’ve never seen petria fumble in me life littleone three times in one play he he was having a tough time out

There in the wing position uh not that he was playing wing on the wing don’t want to send a scare through you there now he’ll be great again a lot of these premiums you can just rely on so I’ll be saying much of the same thing he’s damaging Superstar player you can

Certainly start with him Rory lead not as much of the flavor these days I still think he’s Rock Solid to average around that 115 I just think yeah forever reason people aren’t as keen on him but there’s 6% of you uh out there who are probably

Thinking he’s a bit of a point of difference and I can understand why Zack Merritt one of the best kicks in the game Super User of the footy 7% of team so he’s not one of the absolute out andout popular ones but very reliable a real weapon for the bombers and he’s

Been a consistent scorer over 110 for a number of years now and and will continue to do so I think he’s a very good option we spoke about Doos in the defense but you know absolutely lock Liber again one of those guys who just always gets underrated arguably the best inside mid

In the competition loves a clearance loves a contested Ball but look for whatever reason doesn’t get the love but I think he’ll score well again he’s probably not one that I’d really want to start and again I couldn’t tell you exactly why because he does continually

Average good numbers but he is a point of difference if you’re running with him Jordan Dawson love his left boot he’s a beautiful user he’s one of those guys who can he can take a mark he can hit your targets he’ll occasionally hit the scoreboard and now he’s in the Midfield

He is actually winning a fair his own footy as well so I can understand there is 70% of years picking him out there great option one that I haven’t started with but have been tempted by at times Josh Dunley falls into that Liberator cie I think he just again once he moved

In that Midfield um he was a Ford for us Once Upon a Time very popular but since just having a Midfield position next to his name has kind of lost a bit of that um Fanfare so I do think Brisbane don’t play a high possession game he often has

Between 20 and 25 lot of tackles so far from the worst but I think he probably paying right at the top for him Zack Butters slight injury concern may have scared a few off with that ankle in the py match but I think he can definitely

Start with him he’s been in my side at times over the last couple of weeks I’ve been chopping and changing but now he’s a superstar I can see him you know if you look at maybe a Dunley or a lead some people might sort of think they’re maybe slightly on the decline maybe

That’s why they’re a bit lower on the percentage I think buts is on the incline so that 113 average I could see him pushing it up towards the 115 plus Mark in the coming years and and certainly this year so he’s a great option for us out

There man I thought I’d been going a little bit longer than the uh the 5 minutes so we’ll keep going I thought we’ been going longer grab yourself a water I was about to stop the video there ldu now he did worry me a little bit with that practice

Match which was a stinker of a performance but I can only put that down to he just wasn’t that interested you know I was just ticking the legs over getting the kilometers through the legs but he’s a star I am considering starting him very strongly it’s probably

Out of him or Butters I think the way that he breaks out of packs he’s so damaging he he’s really really got that ceiling his body is the concern has struggled to put together full seasons well he did last year but the years before that 20 plus game so some doubts

On his body but I’m a strong chance to start him now Gordon’s a real interesting one 40% of teams but what did you make of him playing out on that Wing the other day now obviously did still have some good Center boun attendance but he was out on a wing a

Lot more and if you want to go to the AFL app and check out his heat map that will really back it up so I don’t want to get too scared off here cuz I love so much about him and he killed me last year when I traded him out don’t know if

You guys have heard that one but I don’t know I don’t know he did not impress me on Thursday night and I had him locked and loaded then all of a sudden I’m like jeez you know Heeney goes inside and Jordan you know are they using golden

There’s nothing to be sneezed at but just probably paying every dollar that he should he’ll produce but not one that I’ve chucked in my side just yet Tom graen massive fan he’s in my side at the moment I think he’s going to win the brown low I talked about liver being

Works but um I just don’t have too much interest going with him he seems like when we talk about Butters ldu Golden Green they’re the next wave of Premium mids I feel like Neil is the previous wave and I feel like you know that graph is probably trending downward he may

Still average some really good numbers but not one I’m interested in starting with Andy brayshaw he’s probably a guy’s real Kane on in previous years but I don’t know maybe it’s his ball use he he does win a bit more uncontested footy than contested um which surprised me

When I was looking into his numbers but I just think he’s about at his ceiling similar to song similar to like a lead I don’t see too much upside in him going Beyond 110 very reliable very consistent but yeah I I think when he gets to this

Range it’s sort of like well you he’s not going to be a top eight mid in my opinion so it’s kind of That Awkward range where he’s a very very good player but just not getting me too excited parish is super reliable after a good practice match against the cats he sort

Of come into vain with a few sides and I can see why he’s a very good player you know he just finds the footy so easily so a bit like his teammate Merritt just consistent he’s not going to push to 115 I don’t think but I reckon he could go

Around that 110 112 con of Rosy few people thinking that he can bust through the one 10 becomes Captain I could see it happening very elusive player he’s just got some of the fastest feet in the game it’s it’s really fun to watch him and buts um not one that I’ve chucked in

My side at this stage throughout the preseason but I can definitely understand the hype um he’s got a bit going for him now Toranto he was very popular for us last year but it’s a no from me that that ball use just breaks your heart sometimes he’s a shocker of a

Ball user just loves a clanger there was plenty to get excited about him last year as a forward now he definitely repaid us he was a great option did slow up towards the end of the year but he was very good for us last year but not

This year no need to start with him Sam Walsh 4% of teams we should uh get rid of that because he ain’t starting the first week Ral is only in the 2% but I feel like he’s worth a mention dominant performance but see here’s what I’m thinking he had all those clearances

Fantastic game everyone’s talking about him only scores 13 I still think he struggles to use the ball well and does not win enough easy ball that’s always been the knock on him and it’s not a bad thing to win contested pill all the time but I just

Don’t see him as a pick that’s going to be averaging over 110 I mean some people might want to get excited about him but I’m I’m holding fire despite he’s got a bit of Buzz about him those preseason Buzz players but it’s a no for me this

Is where we can start to sort of scroll through a lot of those guys I’ve just mentioned you know you sort of working through your M1 to M3s now we start to get towards a few guys at M4 maybe M3 and then eventually some value guys but

John yuken big fan of him I’m so close to starting him it just depends on my structure I love what he’s been doing he just strikes me as a guy that just is really coming into the prime of his career wins a lot of the footy inside

Tackles does hand ball a bit 11 to4 ratio last year but it’s it’s probably get that to a little close to 50-50 JY and we could really be talking but I can understand the hype he’s a very very good chance to be in my side come round

One just depends on some cash in some other positions but I do like him a lot same said for Miller I’m surprised he’s only in 22% I just feel like he’s locked I mean he’s a guy that is back to his best we’ve seen that in every leadup

Game and yeah I think at that price he’s definitely going to go beyond 110 like he’s done many times before Patty Crips I mean I said everyone in 3% I’ll mention but I think again a bit like y Neils and those other guys these are yesterday’s uh premium mids is time to

Get on board the Nukem and the Butters and the ldus and the greens it’s it’s no longer crippers um Midfield anymore um in super coach world deoi I just don’t see it he’s in 5% of teams but he’ll find a way to get injured he’ll find a way to get

Suspended and he does throw in the quiet game very good player but just a strange price he’s not going to become a a top eight mid he doesn’t represent any value so it’s a no from me Jack steel I’ve been hot on early and I’ve really cooled

Off I I just think sometimes I get trapped into looking too far back it’s like that guy’s averaged 110 before that guy’s averaged 120 before and then I lose a bit of that sight well as I just dropped my pen lid I lose a bit of sight

Of well yeah maybe they’re just just their career best seasons and they’re actually trending the other way rather than recapturing their form not to mention some concerns around his body I I just think he’s not winning enough footy he still tackles super hard but he he really struggles to break through 25

Touches these days and I’m I’m just really cool off on him I just think he’s a tough watch sometimes because he just doesn’t find enough of the footy wouldn’t shock me if he bounced back to some good numbers but I’ve just got my concerns it’s like John Nukem or

Jack steel you know you feel like one’s trending up coming into the prime is Jack steel about to get back into his prime after an injury interrupted year or is his prime be um behind him so that’s what I’m sort of tossing and turning about can understand if you have

Him but I have called off on him mcclugage in 4% of teams it’s a no from me bit like the [ __ ] he’s consistent he’s more consistent than the GOI but I just don’t see there’s no value and not going to keep him all year so it’s a no from

Me um we talked about a couple of those guys in the mid in the Ford sorry Nick Martin I’m huge on he’s in my team again I thought he may have been more popular but he’ll roll around doing whatever he plays in that halfback line for the

Bombers he’ll rack up plenty of touches take some kickouts and eventually be a top eight defender in my opinion so I’m starting him and KL Amon and hoping to just roll them back to the defense at some stage when they get your position in round six or seven

Um yeah I reckon they’re going to find a lot of footy I mean it’s the easiest role in the game these days halfback flank you get fed the footy and you just distribute it I reckon there’s lot of points on offer for the half backman

Matt crouch in 7% of teams I don’t love it there’s something about it like he can score when he’s out there there’s no doubt about that but Martin versus Crouch it’s Martin every day of the week for me it just Crouch with his body he’s always potentially injured or sometimes

He’s just The Whipping Boy he gets dropped when he don’t expect it because of his pace and he doesn’t hurt you he’s never had any worries about finding the footy but he just has that Vibes where you I just can’t trust him so I’m happy

To scroll past him but you know I can see why people would pick him but he’s just not one that I’ve seriously entertained at all there’s my pod Carl Amon in just two% of teams OE WIS well he’s back in the guts Kenny hinley saying and I guess I could see why

People would pick him I just there’s a lot of like when I think about wies he’s not in the same caliber but I think Joel sward towards the end of his career a bloke who’s just cracked in super hard was great for us Once Upon a Time still

Has some great footy in him but he’s just getting tackled every single time he’s got the ball you know those players who they’ve got a bloke hanging off him every time they’re handing or or screw kicking around the body out of every clearance he could definitely average 90

Plus and probably make a bit of money so I could understand why you would but I just think you’ve got horn Francis you got buus you got Rosie does Houston go in there sometimes I know we’re hearing he’ll go back in but if Porter’s struggling and it’s around the footy you

Know wines is is a bit slow he’s a bit older these days he may have the first month in the Midfield but if things aren’t going right for Port he could get turfed again so that’s my main concern but he can definitely score so if he’s

Back inside mid you should be able to lock him in for a 90 plus average and that’s probably what 10% of you guys out there are thinking and hoping so um we spoke about yo in the defense holes has had a bit of hype about him

And I mean I hope he does explode I mean I love him I’m a cats man 4% of teams I just don’t see you know you look at wnes versus holes there’s not too much difference between them really the unknown for holes is his scoring where at least we know wines can

Score where homes you sort of you’re really looking for that Breakout it’s not like he cheapest chips best case scenario he probably makes you 100K worst case you’re left awkwardly in that range he doesn’t make you much and you got to get rid of him after five weeks

Anyway I expect a really good year from him a little bit of halfback little Run and Gun through the Midfield I think he could go well I just think there’s better options and it’s not like he’s super cheap so that’s my main concern with him um a couple of those guys we talked

About in the forward line we can definitely start to roll through and I reckon we’ll start to get some real genuine value guys coming up and I’ve been having a few of them through the Midfield that’s for sure Georgie wlor so I can I can see the hype he

Cracks in like no other very tough inside mid and there’s every chance he does become a really good pick he’s he’s not quite cheap enough for me like there’s a lot of hype around him but he he didn’t exactly destroy the practice game if he came out and was looking

Every bit ready to explode in the py I’ll probably start him but there’s if he’s around 300K or 280 I’m probably more interested I know it’s not a big difference but North actually have quite a bit going on in that Midfield they actually bat relatively deep he’ll be in

There and he’ll certainly be a key part to their inside Midfield but I just wonder if he’s still developing a lot of other parts of his game he can win the footy a bit like raal but still got some other parts to develop not one that I

Have put into my team at any stage this pre-season but a big upside if it does all come together for him this year um who have we got coming up now we’re sort of getting towards that 300 and less bracket where we can really get the value we talked about F and Jordan

In the uh and harms in the Ford line one which is up already Thompson down now didn’t he let me down something shocking I was singing his praises watched the game against go Coast waiting for him to really show me exactly why didn’t touch the footy in the first quarter one

Tackle in the first quarter I’m thinking [ __ ] okay Tigers got smashed I’ll give him time at no stage in the game even when Richmond started to get it on their own terms did he look like a factor I don’t know it’s one game but it just concerned me and and also carrying

Over a 23 isn’t the greatest kickart to his price increasing is it so he’s Adam team I mean that’s all it takes he I really needed to see something from him and he he did the absolute opposite well he did show me something that was

Nothing it was enough to get him out the team so um Sardis talked about the forward line Sam Berry who as you can see is currently in my team a couple of crows people I’ve spoken to feel like there’s enough going on in that um crows midfield for him to not get enough

Opportunity but unlike others that I just spoke about WL and DOW Barry did show it in the practice game he was back to winning a bit more of the footy never been a high possession getter but so many tackles and can hit the scoreboard so be very interested to see the teams

Come out and where he sits in that but he’s a strong start because he’s got the runs on the board he represents good value when you talk about WL I mean Barry has averaged in the high 80s before and he’s a hell of a lot cheaper versus like a WL who’s 140k more

Expensive and hasn’t actually done it before so it’s a bit of that um like I was talking about Jack Ste do do you look in the rear Vision mirror for what they have done or do you project forward for what they could be it’s it’s a bit

Of a debate but um and then yeah we working in the midfielders so or the rookies I should say I don’t think I missed anyone there I know I missed Isaac heene um in the Fords one who I’m not starting he’s hurt me way too many times don’t get drawn into this isaki

Stuff I’ve been his biggest supporter we did Miss Riley boner so there you go I was scrolling through I thought that seven was a one I told you me eyesight’s going poorly did we Miss anyone else I don’t think so I don’t think so um Riley boner look I had some good practice

Understand why you would go with him he’s just not someone that I’ve put in my team yet but um yeah and just on Heeney I know I was sort of a bit factious in you know uh not going with him but I genuinely do think that particularly when Parker and Adams come

Back that he might be pushed out and also all it’ll take is Sydney struggling for a half struggling to score for a week or two and longm will definitely look to place Heeney into a struggling forward line you know if a mar or McLean or papley can’t get it done they’ll

Definitely push him forward so I’ll worry about the consistency of the role but anyway they are my thoughts we’ve been talking Midfield so if I did miss someone please let me know but hopefully I’ve covered off on just about everyone you could possibly consider through this
