Peace Kabasweka’s exceptional performances at the golf course have earned her a well-deserved second title at the Entebbe Ladies’ Open in 2024. Her recent victories, including the Uganda Ladies Open, which she won at Uganda Golf Club in Kampala last year, demonstrate the incredible campaign she has been having over the last few months. Her dedication and hard work have truly paid off, making her an inspiration to many aspiring athletes.
From the time I’ve been a lady Captain I’ve realized we have a big Talent our boys and girls are really talented but um their challenges of finances um others they don’t get that that guardianship for someone to help them and follow up how they are doing how they keep up the performances
How they give them discipline so I would really if I had the capacity and I would start an academy to sponsor especially girls from from a young really young level of go and I would want to see them come big people in in in in future very big
Players golfy can shape the future of women’s golf in Uganda by promoting inclusivity fostering talent and addressing ing challenges collaboration sustained efforts and a long-term Vision are essential for a thriving and competitive environment for female golfers in ladies open is the first ladies open to hold uh an amatur
Ranking and the more tourn the more tournaments you play the better and the more points you earn so they are looking forward to participating in more and more and more tournaments because they know they are worldly ranked so the more sponsorships we get the better the game of golfing
Ladies will really develop uh plans for this year I have to practice very hard I want to play more of Kenyan all open and other tournaments in Kenya so that I get ranked in the world am much Golf Ranking uh this year’s International women women’s death theme is um Inspire inclusion
So I want to uh I want to dedicate it to them they shouldn’t be limited what men can do we can also take up a chance and we either do it better or we learn from them especially when we have bodies like the Uganda ladies go Union supporting us
When we have a go Union also supporting us we now currently I think have uh 22 golf clubs in Uganda and there’s always a lady captain in each Club so I want to tell the ladies out there those who are watching those who are golfers and those who are in other
Sports keep doing it keep being you yeah the the life has a lot really lot a lot for us to we have so many things we can we can do
