Up stand on the box I just need to I got I got him start hello and welcome to the W Grand Prix show presented by jumper and we’re here at the winter equestrian festival and Juma providing our official stats and our presenting sponsor of our pre-shows for the grand pris as well our
Presenting Grand Prix sponsor here this week is Bainbridge our thanks then with offices across the country from Wellington to Washington to Atlanta to New York Bainbridge were the nation’s Premier owners developers Builders and managers of multif family investment real estate and to do Technologies bring their technology to our sport here as
Well industry leaders providing Creative Design and Technical Support Services for the sports entertainment corporate Communications and special events markets as well and of course much of this in conjunction with us equestrian and the USCF Network as well as we spread the word of equestrianism across the United States and across the world
As well and a big warm welcome and it is a warm welcome here in Wellington because we are well into what we call Winter but it’s definitely feels more like summer to the rest of the world and tonight’s $385,000 baybridge Grand Prix as well five stars are written all over it and
It’s been an interesting week uh the weather has not been quite so Cooperative uh in some of the week as well as part of our qualifier and the runup as well but we braved all weathers here and this was a little bit earlier on in the week to our qualifier uh not
So kind there in terms of the weather but they battled through it and Jordan Coy was the man that came to the top there kathen drll out in the wet and a fantastic round from some of the Irish there including Shane swetenham as well who was out in a bit of a torrential
Turn but again turned all the best of it there and now thankfully conditions are much much better so uh we’re getting ready for tonight’s Grand Prix with a wonderful list of those to pick through the lineup here I’m like to say my guest tonight are we start with Georgina
Bloomberg of course double pan medalist Georgina great to have you you’re back in the s as well I am it’s been a long road back but uh it feels good and jumped in the two star this week and I’m having fun just back after your second show
Congratulations uh Pete you you were in the saddle you’ve been in it for a while of course to Olympic medals as well great to have you here tonight good to be here Stephen now last time both you and Georgina separate programs but you both picked the winner so no pressure no
Pressure and a man who feels no pressure of course because he was the winner of the Grand Prix here last time he was the pick of pet Leone is Daniel bluman Daniel um you’re you’re going to be on pundit duty tonight yeah you know it’s always uh
Nice to watch it the jumps look easier when you’re not actually jumping on yourself you’re keeping your pwder dry this week that’s it um you’ve been a twice winner of this Grand Prix into week nine but I mean none of them are easily won no it’s never easy to win
Here in Wellington uh you got uh many of the best riders in the world and the competition is tough It’s always a great grand prix Alan way does a great job um it’s sad not to be able to jump it this year but that’s how it goes you have to
Do what’s the best for your horses and yeah excited to watch the competition tonight and you’ve got exciting new hsees well out at the moment too this week yeah we have a group of new horses we’ve been developing and uh we’re very excited about what’s coming for the rest
Of the season and um yeah y absolutely well so um we’ve got a whole list of big competition coming up over the next few weeks and in last week as well was Nations cup and so what does that mean it means team competition well team Islands were top of the podium this time
Uh Team USA also up on the podium as well and alongside Team Canada but it was the Irish that reign supreme here I think they seventh win as part of the Nations cup here in Wellington as well so much champagne sprayed here into the international Arena but that’s all dried
And we’re ready to get cracking open some new bottles again this week but back into individual competition the team of course bringing its own very special uh feel to the arena the band’s already in swing here as well and we’re getting ready for tonight’s big class uh
The last few weeks is that we’ve already had two five-star competitions under our belt as we would call it week five and week seven but it was the Fidelity Grand Prix and also Lano diamonds Grand Prix that we saw some big Winners uh including uh of course Dar Kenny on to
That Fidelity week and for Lano Diamonds week was shining out was Richard Fogel we’re going to take a look at a few of the highlights of those um we’ve talked a little bit amongst this group already um we’ll come on to picks a little bit later but Georgina Dar with with um
Amsterdam we’ show a little here um he comes back here this week um he’s in real top form for this yeah you know dar’s used his horses uh very well he has a great string and under the lights for this kind of occasion you really
Can’t count him out and he also has the luck of the draw in terms of coming in you you’ve won a few weeks ago do you feel you can go and do again do you feel that the odds are a little bit against you or do you come in with that
Confidence no absolutely I think that that confidence helps any Rider I don’t think Daren necessarily needs it um he knows that he does well under this certain kind of pressure and under the spotlight so um I think it probably gives him a little bit of a sense of
Calm that he doesn’t necessarily need to prove himself but uh it also gives him confidence Daniel how do you deal with it cuz I mean you guys once the more class is over it’s over isn’t it and yeah every class is a new class I think it’s definitely good for you when the
Horse is in good form the horse won a few weeks ago so the horse is in good form the rider is normally in good form too um but again he’s not the only one in good form here there are multiple Riders and uh as you know it’s uh never
Easy to go and and get it done and get the win uh first you got to jump clear give yourself a chance in to be in the jump off and then you have to win it and uh this uh Grand Prix uh normally doesn’t have too many clear rounds Alan
Wade likes to keep the jump off short so it’s uh it’s always exciting and uh I think it’s going to be very cool to watch who ends up with the win tonight um Peter from your point of view uh we all were watching here a couple of weeks
Ago when we went into that leano diamonds Grand Prix Richard Vogel has been the talk of much of the Season we’re going to take a little look at some of his jump off round there and it’s a very special horse indeed uh probably the most special horse in the
World right now he’s had amazing wins on the world stage and the biggest classes and what this horse can do is unbelievable the the striding he can do the the cattiness for a big scopy horse and this young Rider uh maybe not so young to some but to to us he he is
Amazing he believes in himself he believes in his horse and he’s an incredible Talent absolutely fantastic and and Georgina from the point of view where he rode this round here I mean this horse and it did it after here it just eats gr for breakfast yeah absolutely but you know like we’re
Talking about his confidence really can’t be beat when he comes around the turn you have to believe in yourself you have to believe in your horse and I think a rider Like Richard vogle knows that that he can go out there and do it um but you have to have that under this
Light now Dani you’re a little bit different this evening Richard Vogel and Ben May and a couple ofers have headed over to the Rolex Grand Prix over at the Dutch Masters so it’s a quite an open field here tonight which makes it interesting yeah absolutely when you
When you lose some of those Riders it makes a difference because those Riders are are some of the ones that are normally favorites you know if they get their names into the jump of they’re hard to beat so it Lees a little bit of an opening but again you know you still
Have a a class with a lot of the best that we have around here and uh it’s it’s wide open open to see who ends up taking it um Geor we watched some impressive performances so far this season the level of competition here it never gets any lower and it doesn’t
Matter what week it is I mean we’ve had some of the weeks again Riders are managing their horses not always going for the big week and just and pinpointing yeah absolutely you know like Danny said this week is a little bit different um it doesn’t read from
The list really as high quality as the last five star um but that gives an opportunity for another Rider to step in that we didn’t come see you know see coming and um I think it kind of gives other people an opportunity and I think somebody will surprise us tonight and
We’ve got a few swap outs as well Richard Vogel stepped out but people like Harry Charles who’s another hot one right now from the British Rider has stepped in so we’ve done a little bit of swapping around um looking how to see how they F fair this week as well so they’re going
To be keeping it fresh um Peter from this point of view tonight we’re well into the season they should all be up and running and going now this should be competitive oh they sure are and one thing we haven’t one component we haven’t talked about is the incredible
Course designer here here tonight Irish course designer Alan Wade the course is one of the best in the world he doesn’t care whether Richard vogel’s in Rolex in Europe or whether he’s jumping here tonight this is one hard course the intricacies the height uh in working
With uh Allen you know a couple years ago I was always you know curious because four star says meter 60 five star says meter 60 so I asked Alan Wade I said geez Alan what’s the difference a five star and a four star he said the wi
Yeah so it’s going to be very very interesting tonight another comment about the winners the riders that are at the top of the sport they they have special horses but what’s really important is they understand the the the strengths weaknesses and and incredible uh talent that each horse has they
Understand their horses so Richard vogle knows his horse knows how to take advantage of his strengths mlan Ward Callas completely different type of horse but he knows how to take advantage Derk Kenny with Amsterdam at this point now he really knows that horse so whoever wins tonight is going to be like
This with their horse and they’re at the top of the sport and they’re a winner absolutely and that that starts to narrow it down from that point of view it’s going to be really interesting some new combinations in there as you say but we’re still looking at Kent farington
World number five mlan Wards top 10 Shane Sweden number 11 Harry Charles they say comes in the equation we we’re swapping top 20 riders for top 20 Riders um Harry Charles and there derck Kenny completing those out of the top 20 so it’s going to make it interesting but um
Alan Wade you’ve jumped his courses enough we’ll talk about him a little bit later but they’re usually pretty delicate yeah Alan knows how to build courses uh in a unique way Alan is one of the few course designers that is capable of putting a a short distance
That doesn’t have an option so you it’s going to be short like there’s you don’t have an option to do a leave out and he likes to do that a lot and he does it very well uh I didn’t get to walk the course today but I assume we have the
Open water do we yes we do so we have the Open Water which he normally uses and he uses it very well so it’s going to be a test you know like like George and and Peter said it’s going to be a test out there and uh and whoever wins
For sure is makes a great combination with their horse and has a good year ahead of themselves um it got gritty in the in the first of qualifiers this week with the weather and everything else that went in there um Jordan Coy coming out top of there with for gold and and
Few others there in the top Feud GE it’s going to um if they’ve come out of that all right they can handle this all right yeah it was not an easy we for a lot of the Riders and um you know a lot of the
Riders had to had to ride and tled rain but I think the Open Water will make a big difference tonight there are a lot of riders who haven’t jumped one yet this year especially under lights it makes a big difference and I think that’s absolutely going to come into
Play what does make a difference cuz we talk in commentary a lot about you know the water trays the water jump under the lights what’s different uh the lights will shine on it um also just the pressure you know it’s a totally different situation when your G up to an
Open water under the lights on Saturday night um it will probably also have a technical distance either before or after um I didn’t walk the course either uh but I I know that alen will have some sort of trick up his sleeves he’s got a little skinny after the water there you
Go it’s it’s not so much it’s sleeve it’s open it’s there he’s put it out there for you to go to go and do it okay we’re going to talk about those and break down some of our riders in a few moments time as well as we run through
Some of the big contenders for tonight’s Bainbridge Grand Prix as well but uh it is Bainbridge our presenting sponsor here tonight uh once again with the nation’s Premier owners developers Builders and managers of multif family investment real estate and sponsor throughout the season here at the winter equestrian Festival as well and of
Course here the Grand Prix pre-show sponsored by jumper our official stats provider here to the winter equestrian Festival we’re back after a few short moments to run down the runners and riders for tonight’s Bainbridge Grand Prix fully integrated family of real estate companies who have developed and acquired more than 42,000 units
Representing 7.5 billion in transactions hes choose to grant us humans the privilege to keep and to care for them we knew horse feed could be better so we made it better better for those who need power and endurance to fuel performance better for those who need the best start in

Lower feeding rates key flow feeds redefining Ian nutrition because horses rely on us it’s that flat VI Orest well welcome back and we are in conjunction with the US equestrian and USCF Network for many of our shows here in Wellington as well as we expand the
Reach of all of the events here from Southern Florida and that is also in conjunction with DOD Technologies is are representing sponsor for the streaming but also a major new sponsor this year as well industry leaders in Creative Design and technical support and involved in many of the top sports
Including NFL and NCAA as well well we are going to talk stats as well as we are on the jumper pre-show too look at some of the statistics around our Riders uh featuring tonight and try and Whittle it down as I say I’ve got two people on
The panel already who given their top picks each time Peter Leon Georgina blue and last his winner Daniel bluman uh we’re going to work our way through this and let’s going to take a look at the first of our riders that we’re going to focus on who is going going to be Keo
Conor of Ireland Ireland of course at the top last week in the Nations cup uh and he’s riding Eve weed that’s jumped some six rounds uh above 150 clear IR rate of 33% average faults of 3.3 so if we’re looking at a fence down they’re under that uh four fults or better at
83% and for him himself uh Grand Prix wins here in Wellington one of those and seven podiums too but he’s been very consistent uh so far this season to with the we we he was round for just four faults in the week seven Grand Prix FY DEA also featuring onto the Nations Cup
Team of course last week and he was second in the week five grand prix with Maurice on that occasion as well so s some very solid form so far um we’re going to come to you first Daniel Kino Connor E3 this time what do we think
Yeah like you said he’s been having a very good season uh the horses are fresh got a good good string um I like I like this horse I like this horse a lot I’ve seen it already for for the last couple of years and uh I think the course
Normally normally suits is a it’s very careful very a lot of blood and uh and Allan’s type of design is Suits well a horse like this on a on a on a night like tonight so we we’ll see but I think he’s in a very good form and coming from
The win last last week for for Ireland and the solid results he’s had all season he’s definitely a contender Geor you’re familiar with Irish training um what what are your thoughts on Ken you can never count Ken out he’s a great Rider and he won’t be going into a class
Like this unless he’s 100% prepared to put in a clear round uh I just don’t think that at the end he’s going to have the speed that we’ve seen really need to win these jump offs but I think you could count on him for a double clear very easily yeah potential Podium we’ll
See how it comes out um Peter consistency is one big watch word here as well being placed throughout these Grand pris in the season is Is Not a Bad season overall Keane is one of the most talented riders in the sport today the other thing that’s unique about Keen
He’s a very smart Rider his course walking and execution reminds me of the best American Riders out there he’s very different than his European counterparts the other thing that Keen is on a scale of 1 to 10 he’s a competitor that’s why he rides anchor for the Irish team
That’s why he’s got Olympic medals the the guy’s a winner and you can never like Georgina said count him out excellent okay so kukon is on our potential radar for tonight as I say finished second into the uh the Fidelity Investments Grand Prix earlier on this
Season as well uh let’s move on to our second and it’s our incomer of the world number 13 Harry Charles and Harry uh still youthful yet as you can see from his picture and he here his dad has won here on a number of occasions over the
Years he’s supporting in here Romeo 88 um Harry is into his 20s now and 36 rounds with Romeo 88 at 150 clear percentage of 47% faults average of 2.2 so starts to come under that grade and for faults are better at 86% of the time like I say he’s coming
In fresh here as well um so those are some serious stats his first week here in Wellington this week uh 24 years of age Georgina um a little older than his photo would suggest U but you know he’s he’s ready to go he already won the Friday class here yeah I’ve been judging
By that photo I’m not sure if he’s a rider or joining the next boy band but um but no har is a great Rider and I think coming here with fresh horses and you know this being his first his first Grand Prix here the season you can never
Count him out to come in and try to do something special um a little bit of Youth on the side some sometimes makes you a little bit Fearless as well absolutely yeah you know when you’re youthful like that you can kind of go for things that we normally wouldn’t um
There’s no fear like you said but he also has the experience so it’s the perfect mix of experience and like you said that sort of no fear D Daniel’s got a smile on his face I remember he won the Grand Prix here back in 2012 so that
Was a little bit further back in your career um how do you feel about Harry Charles this week and how do you compare yourselves yeah I mean Harry’s coming coming uh wanting to impress his owner is here so he’s he’s coming hot with with experienced horses and Fresh Horses
So he definitely has a shot at it 100% And he he comes here to to win he didn’t make the trip from Europe and left the Rolex hor show and the Ares hor show to come here to America and play around he wants to win uh he has like Georgina was
Saying the experience also on his side this horse uh jumped the Olympic Games you know not too long ago so it’s he’s ready for it uh the difference between him and us is is really not not a great match uh at the moment we all want to
Win uh when when we have our chance uh maybe because he comes hot and he wants to impress he’ll maybe do some things this week that maybe we wouldn’t because we’re getting ready for for a different part of the season but uh yeah I mean
He’s uh in the world’s top 20 for a reason and he’s had the wins for a reason and it wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone if he wins tonight average there 2.2 FS against that combination of that horse that’s pretty impressive yeah very consistent very consistent uh the hores
Are very good horse very scopy can jump any track in front of it and also by the stats you can see that it’s very careful H how young were you when you first turned up here uh the first win actually was with Alan W also Des signing and I
Was at 21 years old there you go Rolex Grand Prix in 2012 that that was a little lucky I have to say that was no exactly you youth on the side okay so Harry Charles we move past and we give him a good shot tonight and we’re going to talk about one that’s
Been on the lips of just about everyone on the panel which is derck Kenan Amsterdam 27 winner of that Fidelity Grand Prix and here’s some of the stats around them four FS or better percentage of 73% uh 10 grand prix wins now here at w 13 Podium finishes um Peter Leon coming
To you looking at those stats average faults of three by my maths that’s less than four sure is uh what I like about Dara and this horse he’s just getting better and better and better and he’s a wonderful manager of his horses he staggers them well and it’s it’s not
He’s not riding Amsterdam tonight because he has nothing else to ride he’s riding Amsterdam tonight because this is the horse that he’s picked for this class now yes he won a a heck of a good five-star event but that was four weeks ago not two weeks ago I feel a lot
Better putting my money on Derk Kenny with Amsterdam with a 4-week break he’s here to win tonight okay um Derk Kenny then is very much in the mix let’s take a look at couple of the home Riders as well and first up of those is Kent farington Kent’s the highest ranked
Rider in the world world number five uh on the podium here a few weeks ago as well as he is consistently um grer fourth in that five-star Grand Prix back on week five uh rying grayer tonight 2.2 is an average of their faults four Faults Are Bess well 100% of the time
That’s pretty good and nine rounds at 150 plus clear round rate of 44% and 10 W Grand Prix wins 24 um podiums and and Peter’s shaking his head Georgina is looking at that um that’s pretty good stats geina yeah no I mean Kent’s a winner um flat out a winner and this is
A great horse um I think if he’s in the jump off he is to beat I think what is counting against him is really the draw I think the fact that a couple of our picks go after him will make a difference but um if he was one of the
Last one to go I think everybody would pick him okay um P fellow American okay I mean uh he’s either going to win tonight or he going to be the fastest four falter in the jump off or he going to be uh the fastest four falter in the
First round I mean the guy’s that good and he’s he’s a freak he’s a he’s a rock star and U the unfortunately for him he does go early in the jump off but those of us that know Kent doesn’t really matter he’s going to go out and put in
His round it’d be no surprise if he went out there and won tonight and sometimes he likes to get that round in early get it laid down and let you all go after him yeah I mean I think Kent is riding first of all a very fast horse a horse
That has been jumping very well it had one one rail four weeks ago in the jump off and I think I believe he had the time he had the time to win the class and I think today he’s going to ride hopefully he makes it to the jump off
And when he’s in the jumpo he’s going to ride a round that it’s going to be very difficult to catch again the draw is maybe not the most convenient for him because he goes early but if he rides round the way he wants to ride it it’s
Going to be very hard to catch him don’t catch me um another that could put a very fast round down is a man who won the Coachella Cup in California last year that was a million dollar class for Carl cook with Kinka same horse and 21 rounds now under their belt over 150
Average fults of just short of three and four fults are better 90% of the time W Podium is just one of those so far but he’s been building them up swiftly and Peter’s nodding his head for the Californian what do you think Pete well I mean the guy’s at Talent he’s got
Great horses and when it’s his night he can’t be beat I mean all of us have gone against this incredibly talented Rider and these great horses but but at the truth is Carl is still finding the consistency his stats are really good but they don’t tell the real story he
Can be great and he can have a bit of an off night so we’ll see what we’re going to get tonight it’d be no surprise for him to win tonight but we’ll see one thing he will be Georgina is exciting yeah absolutely you know I love Carl
He’s a great Rider um coming off of not such a great Nations cup he does have something to prove and that can either either you know really Inspire him to go out there and do his best or or he crack under the pressure and I think like
Peter said we’ll see what we get tonight absolutely so it’s going to be guns drawn later on um the California may be the mix Kent farington speed um Daniel I don’t think there’s any doubt it’ll probably be fast the jump off yeah for sure it’s going to be fast without be we don’t
Even have to that that’s given given given given I mean the only way that maybe wouldn’t be that fast is okay we have a very difficult track there’s a lot of jumps that can come down and it has not been a surpris to see a two or
Three person jump off and in that case then it becomes a huge amount of strategizing and know which has worked for you I’ve been part of those yeah I’ve been part of those before and it’s worked for me so H you know it’s there’s a lot of a lot of good stuff tonight
Here brilliant um so we’re going to be back after a very short break to take out the picks and those are the jumper stats on each of our Riders we picked out through and thank you to them and of course our presenting sponsor of tonight’s 385 ,000 Grand Prix is
Banbridge companies as well we’re back after this break fantastic night in store here in Wellington and all set to go I think I found them really making your dog your ring bearer is one way to show your love car part it’s just a car look but delicious Caesar canine Cuisine is a better
Way That from playful puppy to adventurous adult help keep them healthy i’ms for Life With netjets travel will always be personal we do everything it takes to make every flight exceptional every single detail of your experience is personalized just for you as our standard is not just to meet our definition of perfection it’s to exceed Yours well welcome back and our programs brought to you in conjunction with us equestrian and the USCF Network as well as they bring you all the sport here across the United States and it’s been an exciting season so far and to our presenting sponsor tonight of our
Pre-show of Jumper as well the official stats provider here to Wellington well we’ve talked a lot about the course and we can pontificate all day but the best thing to do is going and catch up with the course designer Alan W and Danny is out there Danny goldstein’s out there to
Go and catch up with Alan uh very good evening to you both out there in the warmup out ready for competition all right thank you Stephen all right Alan I’m here with our course designer for tonight’s class Alan Wade thanks so much for joining us tell us what was your strategy for building
Tonight’s class well uh first of all you go by the FEI schedule it’s a 160 with a specific Heist requirements because it’s a more qualifying cast for the Olympic games this year so we must have three oers 153 High minimum 160 wide we must have at least three 160 verticals plus
Uh water jump liverpools narrow fences triple bars uh plank on top so basically all of these have to be part of the five star course tonight absolutely and you have everything in there what do you think is going to be the trickiest part of tonight’s class well look different
Parts of the course will suit different horses uh for for the Triple barar to the skinny is looks for control and then you need to move up to the water to gain a bit of time to get more so different tests should should some people will like certain parts of the course for
Their horse and others will like different parts absolutely do you think the time allowed will play a factor in tonight’s class I do we after measuring it numerous times but like when you get to these Dimensions people obviously slow down a bit at times and take a
Wider turn if if a fence is proves the hot spot or needs a bit more care but uh you still have to travel at a rate sometimes it’s easier to get up to that rate and continue through the course to jump the bigger fences but that’s up to
The individual absolutely and what do you think about the heat and humidity is that going to play a role as far as stamina with the horses well I’m after going around the course about 10 times today and I’m from tiari so and I’m after surviving so the weather is
Getting cooler these are professional athletes and professional horses they’re jumping for a lot of money I’m sure they’re Peak to perform tonight and uh let’s hope they all get home safely first is the main thing and then that we have good sort afterwards all right Perfect all right we’re going to head
Back over to Steven now thank you so much Alan for joining us all right back to you stevenh thank you very much Danny yes well that’s Allan’s view on what’s coming up we’re going to give a little bit of what we think as well and as we
Talked about a lot we know the signatures of Allan’s courses here um Daniel you talked about that it’ll be delic delicate it’ll be tough he’ll just have that little sting in the tail somewhere from that point of view um do you agree yeah absolutely with an unbias
You know F five of the five star Grand Prix wins that we’ve been able to have in our career happen with him yeah and I’ve started a lot of his courses and that’s what we going to see is exactly what you said um PC you’ve had a little
Walk around there um what was your overall view on a quick rundown I think it’s a classic Allen Wade course he’s asking scope questions maybe not Championship level scope but good scope it’s very delicate very careful the horses are going to have to be in really
Good Form Ride ability again as a a really big part of tonight’s course it starts out very early with some strong rideability questions and as the course goes on the rideability questions become harder and harder the the real uh variable here the the special sauce on
On this uh on this meal is the time allowed if he is a tight time allowed this is going to be very difficult and and there as as Daniel talked about half the water a little bit of a delicate fence there there’s he’s he’s got some
Some tricks in there his sleeve the the tricks are there some of them are obvious and then a lot of them we’re going to find out after the first three or four horses go but Geor as Daniel said if you come out a winner over an Alan Wade course you’re a worthy one
Yeah you know Alan’s an artist and he’s very good at making a difficult course without making it a trap um you don’t see horses really struggling but you’ll see rails really spread out throughout the course it’s going to be a tough one it’s going to be an exciting one um
Let’s get to um the pics as well of what all of you’ve uh been forced into into picking a horse and ride a combination for tonight um it’s always a tough one for this one um Peter let’s start with you and the direction that you went in
Well on my way to my pick I want to highlight two weeks ago five star second place finisher mlan Ward and Callas they’re jumping tonight he doesn’t like being second yeah he’s going again tonight with that horse and then fellow Us Rider Kent farington never count him
Out going early in the jump off should he be in it is not a disadvantage it’s almost an advantage for him so he doesn’t have to try to be great he just is great so my real pick for tonight Derk Kenny and Amsterdam okay um georgino from your point of view you you
Both have picked the winner before now so I’m going to be interested to see um which way you go yeah no I mean I agree with everything that Peter said I think both mlan and Kent cannot be counted out um the draw is not on their side but
They’re both very good at going out there and putting in an amazing round but everybody else has to really struggle to try to catch but I also have to pick Dara I think that the draw is going to make a difference tonight he’s got you know his best horse and he’s
Proven himself out here under the lights okay so two two votes for Dar so far Daniel bluman as a twice winner of this Grand Prix and defending champion of this Grand Prix um who do you think is going to take the crown off you tonight
Well I love Peter and I love George and I hate to have to disagree with them it really very painful that’s why we’re here although I love their introduction of you know Kent and mlan and they pick someone else it almost reminded me like when I when when one of those
Girlfriends I had D me and she said it’s not you it’s me and just tell me that we’re done covering our bases in case we’re not correct exactly we understand you’re covering your bases but your peek is not m is not Kent and my peek is Kent
I’m going to pick Kent I think that he has a very strong strong horse for the class uh like Peter said I don’t think the draw is going to be uh much of an issue and I do believe in odds and to have a horse win two five star Grand
Pris in one season we haven’t seen in the last 15 years I believe the last one was perhaps Sapphire uh so I’m going to stick with uh with Ken farington and hope that uh tonight is the first five star Grand Prix win for this may okay
Good and they make me pick one as well um so I’m go with Harry Charles uh as the incomer uh here to the winter equestrian festival and of course his dad’s Pete’s won here plenty of times he’s walking the courses with him um he’s got that little bit of um extra
Knowledge there I’m looking PE Leone here that does make a difference though in my book sure does and you know Harry’s got that youthful Cockiness combined with Talent combined with being competitive I mean this is just one big fun Rodeo for him he’s here in Florida Allan Wade who he’s jumped before he’s
Got a great horse he’s in great form he’s just having a blast no surprise if your pick is the right one tonight you’ve been the young cowboy in town am I in the right direction or not yeah I think you’re in the the right direction
Look i’ I’ve had the I was there once and and George was one of the ones that put me in my place many many times so I I do think the cockiness is good but it’s also very dangerous you know around here you have uh people with a lot of
Experience that remember we’re home that’s the other difference you know many times we we have to go to Europe and we’re in their Turf when they come to our turf and they’re just come visiting H you know there it could go both ways you know it could go both ways
But but I think you have a great pick like I said I wouldn’t be surpris at all of he wins I think he’s a fantastic Rider with a great group of horses I love his father also a legend in the sport uh but uh he’s going to have to
Chew on some very strong American and American based Riders do you do you remember the days that you put him in his place very well yes that’s a whole other program remember the good days bad days you try to forget that’s a whole other program
Um from that point of view okay great so those are our picks in the bag we got two for Dara uh we’ve got um me going with Harry and you’re going with Kent as well so uh lots of consistency in there lots that could come out at the pack
Tonight Big Field of of four I’m going to pick out a couple of those that we haven’t put in our picks that may may throw some things in here um we we could be all night mentioning those but you hen oaza um very consistent with contaro yeah very consistent he jumped there the
Grand Slam Grand PRI last year great results very consistent this is home for him horse looks in great shape so yeah and if we looking for a younger Rider coming through Georgina um I would look down towards Daisy Farish who’s been really impressing Daisy actually has been doing really great um she’s been
Working her way up slowly and you know the last couple weeks she’s really been proving herself at the top level and I think she’s one that you really have to watch for the future excellent looking forward to those um Daniel so what are the plans for the next few
Weeks our plans is to conquer the world excellent good Georgina is already doing that as as a m and now twice monom congratulations PC you’re going to be working hard as well you’re going to you’re going to be out there uh working away in the Rings producing some fantastic Young Horses through you’ve
Got a number of horses jumping at the top level that we’re seeing right here through and thank you very much for joining us here tonight um you can all go and relax now and see whether your piics I’m looking forward to the texts later on to who got it right or whether
We all got it wrong uh but we will see Peter thank you it’s like sitting down to watch a great movie we’ve got a fantastic producer in Allan Wade and a great cast of you know of characters in this case Riders horses you know the world’s best I can’t wait to watch the
Class have a great guy commentating for us that’s going to keep us there busy with the stats we’ll try we’ll try it’s time for us to get off stage Daniel thank you Georgina thank you Peter thank you um I’m going to head off to my next
Gig uh which is up in the commentary box uh thank you very much to all of you and thanks to jumper our presenting sponsor tonight of our grand prix pre-show as well and is say providing all the stats we’ll bring you some of those during the show as well and also our presenting

With the USCF and USCF Network and over the last few weeks we brought you Top Class competition we continue to do so and last week as well was the big Nations cup competition with Ireland as the winning team and a man who’s been on fire both in the Nations cup and in the
Grand PRI is another who’s made his home here and that’s Irishman David O’Brien well David O’Brien joins me David’s uh representing team Island here this part of the Nations cup it’s been quite a few weeks for you yeah we got off to a good start and uh last week was
Uh really like the high point so far off the circuit David let’s take a look at your round here with Elbo talk us through this is from round one uh round one um he had a little rub on the F on the first fence so I was kind of a little cautious then
And once I got going down this line I could feel him he jumped this double he was so sharp there I was like okay all I have to do now is just keep up a bit of Rhythm and uh get them up there uh coming down to this one before the water
I just want to square up a little bit and then give him a lot of leg over because he’s going to jump a big which he did uh skinny off the left is always going to be easy enough from he’s always going to be careful there and his
Trebles and that I always kind of jump a little bit he jumps a bit to the right so I start early on the left and like kind of let him use his scope to go get all the way through it uh the ox are here after um he was always going to jump
That carefully I no worries there I was trying to make up time here a little bit so I kind of rubbed the plank a little bit on the way home and then the next one comes up so quiet that he really tried hard over the oxer and then I had
To kind of make my mind up and just protect them and get them over the water David a little bit different back under the lights in the evening um how did that translate and how was it for you cuz that was the first time you were
Going to do that going back in for a second round um for me yeah it was it was different for sure um the horse I’m looking enough he kind of like once he knows the course he knows the course so really was nearly actually trying to be
A little patient but then I was probably a little too patient when it came to the time out but uh I thought he jumped much better second round um what was the experience like for you overall now you’ve reflected on it um I still can’t believe it it’s one of those things you
Kind of jump and you’re like was that a dream but um yeah it was a great night I really it was one of those things my parents were in um everything lined up in the sense they they were coming over anyways but then I got on the team so it
Was a big deal to have them there to get to see me go so there’s a little bit of celebrating well that’s it a little bit we went and uh after the class and that we actually went back to the barn where the horse was and we kind of celebrated
Of him excellent love that um David well done thank you good luck for the rest of the season thank you excellent O’Brien uh one of our stars of the Nations cup and of course our grand PR this Year I he Our major programs this season all bought you in conjunction with the USCF and USCF Network as we continue to spread the equestrian word around the world and also we bring you all the stats and Analysis of the big competitions and we’ve teamed up with jumper to do exactly that the official
Stats provider here to the winter equestrian festival and a lady whose stats have been coming up well in terms of her jumping ability it’s been fantastic to see her in action in both Nations cup for Australia in the last few weeks but another regular here who’s made her home in middleberg Virginia is
Australian superstar that is TAA win we caught up with her a little bit earlier on this week well here in Wellington we’ve had some big weeks including Nations Cup last week and tyer ran was with us as part of the Australian team as we can see tyer um we’re a long way from
Australia we are very grateful to be here in the land ofest Sports here in Wellington Florida for you it’s been around the world trip to get to this stage hasn’t it give us a little bit of your background yes yes absolutely it has been I do not come from a horsey family
Um we traveled the well with my dad for his work and fell in love with horses actually when we were living in Norway and every country we went to I luckily convinced my mom to take me to the nearest stables and once we moved back
To Australia when I was 12 we we were lucky we moved onto a property and I was able to convince her to have a horse well it’s led to the stages that we’ve had here you’ve been competing here in the five stars in the Nations cup as
Well um it’s been a long road to get here why why here but you have some great associations here with the United States now yeah um I always wanted to head back to Europe uh and it was before winter and I did not particularly want to go from Australian summer to European
Winter so we stopped here in the US and one thing led to another God offered a job made connections to Virginia met Michael and Wendy Smith probably about 12 years ago now and I think about 3 years ago um they we sat down and had dinner
And I’m a mom and they said what do you want to do with your horses and I said I want to go to the Olympics that’s why I left Australia and they said okay we will try and make that dream come true so hopefully one day it does come true
Well we’re on Rouge Australia also qualified for the Olympics in Paris as well so there’s all that potential there talk to us a little bit about two horses you got in there high Alita and high star hero yeah we uh found High star hero about a year and a half ago now and
Uh he’s a big Powerhouse he had a late start in life um he’s actually very very sensitive on the inside and a little bit slow stepping so it’s been a bit of a slow process with him cuz he always wants to do the right thing but he gets a bit tangled up sometimes
Um but I really believe in him he has everything for a Championship horse um highy to be also had a really late start in life she’s had quite a few Falls we got her early summer last year and she’s completely my type just a hot May that is really really spicy very particular
About who she wants around her um but she has fire in her belly and we have a really good partnership so I’m hoping we keep developing that and it just develops into something really big is that a good partnership with an Australian I believe so I think as long
As our goals align it doesn’t matter kind of how we get there but yeah you have to have a sense of humor to have her and definitely have a lot of patience which I think being a mom I do have a lot of patience now possibly not
A few years ago but definitely do now and yeah I think the world of her um really excited and hope it continues you’ve had some good good placings in the Grand Prix here as well in that lead up to that Nations cup how do you feel
It’s if it’s going is it all on track it is I think here it’s really hard because with so many weeks a really top sport uh the weeks start on Wednesday and end on Sunday so it’s sometimes hard you keep feeling like you have to keep showing
And you have to be a little patient take a step back remember that their horses they need a break need some training um so I think we’re really on track actually I think hopefully we have three more weeks after this week my horses will have a bit of a break and and then
We do hopefully the last week and then they actually will go back in the field for a while in Virginia and then we head to Europe so I’m hoping it all stays on track and that our management stays together and we end strong got got an
Eye on Paris absolutely that’s a goal uh looking forward to that over summer as you say you’ll head over to Europe many others but but here for Australia it was a good chance for them to get some Nations cup um outing it was you know I
Think our team we’re lucky we have a lot of Australians based in the US now for the winter season um and so we were able to get a team together every year here so even though we’re not in the League of Nations we consider Wellington as one
Of our top Nations cup and now our team came along with our some of our selectors and Chef to keep and I think it’s just really good we’re not often in team situations even though we’re all quite very close people together and we have a good group of friends our saies
Um yeah we’re really grateful that we keep get invited back here well you did a great job and you’ve got a great few weeks coming up for you um well done and and I think you’re you’re on for big things this season thank you yeah all
You can do is keep trying keep believing and put the best people around you I’m really grateful right now in my life well well done uh good stuff Australia are flying the flag here very much in Wellington Banbridge is a fully integrated family of real estate companies who have developed and

As well and US equestrian and USCF Network where we’re using those platforms to bring you even further reach of the winter equestrian Festival this year as well a wonderful partnership with them thank you to them as well and we are set to partner up tonight myself Steve W with Ali wolf
Grand Pre Rider herself ali um we’re in for another big night tonight huge night um the jumps look massive we’re into our five star our second to last five star week um Allan way designed an amazing and huge and substantial course so it’s very exciting we’re gonna have a a good
Class to watch we’re going to talk about the the course in just a few moments time as well we chatted to Alan Wade a little bit earlier on uh again a class field for this and we we’ve had a few Changers of riders throughout this season as well it’s been interesting
Because it’s a big year some Riders have sat out some five stars come into the next there’s different plans going on yeah it’s all about strategy you know we’re here for 12 weeks we have a couple of five stars obviously everyone is gearing up for that last five star so uh
It’s going to be a a fun Testament to how the strategy plays out for Horse and Rider yeah here’s some early runners in there Marie go Sangle and Ashley bondes are early ones to go for the clears over Alan Wade’s course in this baybridge Grand Prix Natalie dean of course a very
Good finish just a few weeks ago with a coach M Laura CR bisca her ride into the nation’s cup there Ali yeah she said um this is going to be a tough track for this horse but she’s really excited um kind of to see what she’s going to do
How she’s GNA hold up you know this is going to be her next in line string so she’s got to test it now um and so that’s going to be a really exciting one to watch as well very consistent Germany’s Rene dmer winner here back into December as well Alis back from us
Team Duty with Gala over in Abu Dhabi a few weeks go Lily Keenan again on that’s have been right up there and close with a G de Bellard can they go that next step tonight as they go 23 in the order uh later on David O’Brien part of that
Winning team for Ireland here last week with Elbo also in by the shet Farm which is the Keenan family uh world champion from 2002 Islands der lenon in the field then also us team Riders mlan Ward and Callis and the new upcoming one is z Ry
And Isa pasi mlan and kala second into the Grand Prix on the kick off of the Season as well of the five stars going close there that’s onto week seven just behind Richie vogle on that occasion Derk Kenny winner of that opening Grand Prix with Amsterdam Washington winner
Katy Dinan and down to our final few coming through that we class as well as they go in that last group in order of those coming through uh it’s actually Harry Charles there of Great Britain goes 43rd on Romeo and late also joining us this first week as well Kendra claria
Brinkop of Germany so some new faces um and they’re in for some wide-eyed attacks at this Arena yeah absolutely especially the faces that maybe haven’t seen this before um this might be a lot to look at but at the same time they’re coming in with really Fresh Horses I
Think maybe that was the strategy while all of us are maybe a little bit more tired been there’re done that so um time will tell time will tell um for you let’s talk the home Riders mlan WS can he go that next step up he’s done it
Plenty of times tonight plenty of times he’s no stranger to this ring we can always count on him yeah and so good performances for the Irish the last few weeks as well of course with Team Ireland with that nation’s cup win uh in our pre-show we had two of our experts
There Peter Leon and Georgina Bloomberg picking DK Kenny uh out there as well Daniel bluman went for Kent farington and I went for Harry Charles so we’ll see how that works out have you got a pick for the night as well I was going
To say Kent um that horse is kind of on the up and up and I know that they really believe in that one um I don’t know last time I chose wrong so I’m going to really study it this time and figure out my strategy myself
Okay we will see how that that comes together as well so we’re we’re getting our picks ready you have a little look at the course we’re going to talk about that in detail in a few moments time we’ve already hinted at the the Del delicacy and the toughness of an allen
Wade course out there what we haven’t really mentioned is the atmosphere I mean we’ve been going through our pre-show over there the band’s been playing the crowd are here it’s it’s got a big Electric Feel huge electric feel and if it’s anything like the others and
There’s going to be so many people here you know it’s a kind of a hotter humid night so the weather is nice um you know the lights it’s the action it’s everything that just draws everybody else in you have the scoreboard around the entire ring so the horses that maybe
Haven’t seen that as much maybe some of the European horses might get a little bit alarmed by that the Jumbotron is in the corner as always so bright and daunting um but again just the atmosphere is so electrifying and that’s what’s fun for tonight and that’s what’s fun tonight there there’s nothing like
Being in this Arena when it’s rattling with the crowd absolutely there’s no better feel especially when you put in a nice solid round or even the crowd just cheers you on absolutely uh you’ve been in there for it it’s pretty exhilarating stuff very much yes you kind of forget
About what just happened when you uh come out of the ring but then you watch the video later like my God I can’t believe that happened that was amazing so very special memories out there as well more to be made uh to um Lots coming on uh for tonight’s big rundown
For this $385,000 Bainbridge Grand Prix as well Danny wolman’s also going to be on the sidelines for us too catching up with many of the Riders she herself of course multi-winner of the grand PRI here as well so we got full team in place and ready to go and we’re going to
Head down to Danny Who’s down in what is a warm evening and it’s the well-named warm up all right thanks Stephen I’m here with Thursday’s we winner from The Challenge cup Jordan Coyle tell us how does it look out there tonight uh yeah I think like every five
Star it looks uh quite tough actually uh there’s a lot of very good horses here so yeah there’ll be enough clear I’m sure absolutely is your horse feel ready for this after winning of course on Thursday uh yeah I think so actually he feels fight uh he feels quite fresh
Uh it doesn’t take that much out of him actually the the jumping uh so yeah I think he should be ready all right well thanks so much good luck tonight and uh we are heading off to a quick break thank you guys so much for watching stay
Tuned of course thanks to do technology for our supporting our live stream and of course to Banbridge for support of tonight’s class stay tuned everyone thank you bring us to this Arena the G Rolex clock Ticky away over the bridge and so we’re getting close to that 7:00 kickoff
Time for tonight as well so just a few moments away from going into tonight’s Bainbridge Grand Prix and we’re looking forward to this we going to be back after this very short Break Can jumper help you find your next top Horse let’s say you’re looking for an 8-year-old competing at meter 40 jumping clear 60% of the time jumper lets you find top horses by age pedigree or performance download now and take the guesswork out of show jumping with Jumper Lay ladies and gentlemen the Ever Well welcome back and as part of tonight’s winter equestrian Festival we are off and running so close to the start of tonight’s big competition and it is big in every single way uh we’re going to take a look at the course of as well set by Alan Wade and again this
Presented by Fidelity Investments our sponsors of our course animations is this week and every week Ali wolf has been taking a look at it Ali what do we think we set it set up at one alongside the table Bank yeah exactly start at one it’s a very solid oxer followed by a
Short roll back to fence two that’s going to be your first big test in about six strides to a big orange Liverpool oxer you’re going to hook a very very quick leftand turn to a very daunting triple bar which and then afterward has a very short stride to a very very
Skinny red fence and then you’re going to have to hustle down to the water 9ish strides but it depends on your horse uh after that it’s about a short five to a tall tall vertical and then you hook another left time allowed is huge Factor here you approach a really tall very
Airy plank gold Planks on the very top four strides to the purple triple Ox are headed into the corner you hook a right turn to your triple combination which is a very short two very very tall b and a short one out for C after that it’s a
Very very steady six strides to a Liverpool with very hard to see poles little green poles on the top and then the horses might think they’re done but you hook another right headed towards that Rolex oxer pop over that and it’s bending about seven strides to one
Stride vertical oxer and finish that up with the five strides headed right into the Jumbotron well that’s the course and Alan Wade is set an exciting one once again for this Fidelity Investments uh Grand Prix looking forward to how this all plays out and there are the stats
Time allowed of 79 seconds a lot of course to jump there in that time $385,000 in the prize fund length of course 490 M 14 obstacles 17 jumping efforts for this Bainbridge Grand Prix here tonight and so here we go first one’s about to head down under the
Bridge uh field of 46 in all for tonight’s Grand Prix we’re going to kick off with Italy with Puchi as our first and it is going to be an exciting one like I say we’re going reverse order of those from earlier on this week into the qualifying two Jordan
Coyle was best of those out of the we class so he goes last with for gold Germany’s Kendra larissia brinko uh is going to be penultimate combination with in time Kino Connor will go third from last Harry Charles Yar are all in the latter
Few so that is going to be the tail end of the lineup we’ s there’s going to be some early Runners to keep a note of as well uh like Margie Goldstein Engel and down to Natalie Dean goes in the first 10 as does Carl cook Laura KRA Ken
Farington uh will take us through to that 11 uh from that point of view so that’s what’s coming up and the first one is on their way and again schools have board Us in with the national anthem tonight thank you to them and up goes the uh barrier and under the bridge
Will come our first for tonight’s uh big class it’s the third five-star Grand Prix of the season and we welcome in the first for Italy any second just see them in the background there just under the lights there over in the warmup and out under the bridge comes Puchi and
The Iron Horse Farms hanano Dutch bre gelding by quodo Zed five-time European Championship rider for the Italians poio was been actually over here in the Americas for a little while now for this season competed and won up in Sarasota a few weeks ago as well and also has
Ridden some of the top Grand pris around the world being top few in the likes of Monaco and as I say a five time European Championship Rider to kick things off Ali wolf alongside me um ali um let’s let’s see where we go there’s plenty of jumping out here first fence nice uh
Welcoming one at 145 150 155 after that and then it gets big and then it gets really interesting that it does and uh we’ll start with P Georgio to start us off uh this is a horse owned you know by the ases family they’ve been good supporters of him over the past couple
Years um we’ve seen Karina ride this horse a little bit she’s been super gracious and handing over some horses to him um he’s done some really really great things with this horse and he’ll lead us off nice Over Fence One fence two is very tall vertical we’ll see the bending six
Strides to kind of our first big big square oxer and then this turn come up comes up really fast right by the in Gate the horses kind of make might suck back behind in the corner very very steady for he did that really nicely and
Then now we got to step it up for that water big effort easy five that’s a very tall vertical and now we have to think about time allowed yeah it could be very interesting to see how that comes together say with a lot of jumping to do on this
Track little plank there golden plank that many wanted to get rid of in the nation’s cup used differently here this time triple combination down here and then it’s again a little skinny with a water tray after this yeah exactly like to your point of the the gold plank you
Know it’s funny where they position it at the in the Nations cup it was a huge ordeal we maybe it won’t be so much uh position straight into that corner uh we’ll see but he’s giving this horse a beautiful ride it’s a very steady oh yeah it’s just a blind turn it’s
Really hard for the horse to get their eyes on it but it’s it’s a blind turn around the Gazebo probably a seven stride to very very tall vertical followed by an oxer out uh just a lot for the horse to kind of get their eye on one to two strides
Out well they are all AOK just walking out the arena there Puchi and hanano all fine I think we’ll just see them in a second just doing his boots and we will go on to our next for Spencer Smith and the Ashland Farms Keeneland now this was a really
Interesting one that we’ve seen a couple of times now this season and so we will see it once again because this is now an 11-year-old by Carina Zed for Spencer Spencer a pass winner here in Grand pris as well jumped around for just four faults in the week seven Grand Prix as
They were coming to their first five star Grand PRI together of course he’s had long associations with Theodore man and a finished eighth place the netjets Grand Prix as well it’s been a really impressive horse to watch yeah that it has and they formed a really great
Partnership quickly I I want to say this one was seen Maybe um so this one has kind of been there done that a little bit um seen some of these fences maybe not this high but they formed a really great partnership already and it kind of takes the
Pressure off kind of his older one at the moment which is really nice to keep them in the ring as well during week one under the lights Spencer Smith for the US with ke second to show so Spencer Smith first of the American combinations here nice start of the Bane Bridge
Alongside the crowd side yeah and that’s not a free b fense as well you know if you get a good jump for it if you get a good Pac for it that’s a that’s going to be a good confidence ride early rail coming at two at
155 now here is way coming out of this triple bar not quite out of the corner but then he’s coming on four strides to a little skinny there and and again the signature here of Allen is is some light material let’s take a look at the water
Now what was your your take on how to ride this oh gosh um pre um I would say you know it’s an option Allan plays a lot in numbers um a lot of things are usually connected as they are here he’ll give you maybe one or two corners to think about the time
Allowed um we see that plank come down that plank has posed some problems here it might as well tonight um but again everything always kind of seems to be a little bit connected there’s no time to breathe there’s really if you mess up one part it usually kind of carries
Forward into the next one or two fences as well so it’s really really difficult if you can jump a solid round on an Alan Wade chorus it’s you can call it successful yeah this is say the first season for this horse coming into these five-star Grand pris uh with Spencer
Here Spencer of course who’s been very successful on the global Champions Tour as well been riding under the Georgina Bloomberg New York Empire team has the back bar there coming down the final line so he going to put him um further up the score 7861 uh 12 there for Spencer Smith say
16 to me as well yeah 16 7861 for Spencer Smith and Keeneland again it’s just about getting some mileage in there for of this yeah absolutely you know a little hesitation at fence 2 I think maybe caught him by surprise the height and um what was next which is that big
Liverpool Orange oxer um but he kind of smoothed it out throughout the rest of the course the other couple of rails were just very careful rails nothing to really focus too hard on of course that plank is going to be a problem I think wherever it’s placed but uh he can walk
Out of here at least having feeling like he’s connected to that horse and they have a bright future Margie Goldston Engel um has a great career behind her and a great fruit future in front of her Margie uh who’s had probably more wins here well not probably she has had more
Grand Prix wins here than anywhere else and would like to continue in that vein and he would Dias for Garber gladewinds show horses and storm rdge Capital as well first fence again that’s not a freebie you know it’s going right away from the ingate it is a big fence uh you
Know know it’s not big compared to the rest of the course but it’s a big fence in its own right um and that was too bad I thought she was Maybe Just a Touch under pace and just got there a little bit easy and the horse didn’t quite
Stretch for that back rail um I was going to say you know find me a person that doesn’t root for Margie she is everyone’s favorite Rider to watch come on deas and just a little splash in the water yeah I think just lost a shoe heading up there she’s just looking that way
Certainly a boot I think there might have been a shoe as well um but just a little bit unbalance there after the land to get the water just like we talked about those Allen Wade courses right like everything is connected so if you don’t find one correct it’s probably going to hinder
You for the next and I think we’re going to pull up yeah Marie’s going to put a hand up and say um good night unfortunately tonight uh with decast so early Runners Spencer Smith on 16 P jioi unfortunately took tumble Margie uh is going with a retirement but we’ve got a
Very very long way to go let’s not worry too much about that uh and no no big reasons for that all spread around the place uh but unfortunately for Margie that’s going to be good night to Margie uh for this stage I’m sure we’ll see her
Back in a few weeks time and Margie needs no adding anything to her resume she’s had a subst she has a substantial resume been there done it got the T-shirt the jacket the socks and especially with that horo exactly uh righ higher now who hasn’t quite got the
Same record yet because she’s only 24 years of age and this abor is Chloe for Kurt hiler of Boston Massachusetts another one by Cho blue and rileigh already jumped into a couple of five stars now jumped round in Travis City in a couple of seasons ago as well with
This combination in their first five star for just a few faults there this season as well been getting more exposure into these five stars and again you know you’ve done it you’ve just got to keep getting back in there yeah exactly you know you got to first kind
Of go in there jump the course and then go back and then pick apart the course and figure out now how do you be more competitive uh especially for a young Rider such as her you know Maxima who she trains with does a great job training her finding horses for her um
And she’s really stepped it up and stepped along throughout circuit and that’s the nice thing about circuit is that you have the longevity in the same ring maybe to kind of keep getting your feet wet into and then by the end of circuit maybe you’ve moved up an entire division
Comfortably first couple fences so far so good it’s high at the triple bar as you’d expect nicely down that line yeah I was going to say I thought that was maybe going to be a little bit steadier prove a little bit harder just a foot in the water and just
Kind of tripped a little bit on that on the LA of the water coming out but nice recovery maybe has to think a little bit about the time allowed but again this is this is someone at the stage of get in there and experience it
If you if you’re going just at half a gear down you’ll learn that by doing this get get the zero in but we’ll see exactly and if she keeps it consistent then you know i’ say that was a success and that was a great great effort by the horse through the triple combination
Really really steady six steady’s that really nice and if she just kind of keeps the same momentum um you know the horses might think they’re done coming around this corner and then lo and behold there’s a big ax there to stretch across and then they’re not finished a
Blind bending seven very very tall very delicate double and then finish five strides with a green oxer going right into the green Jumbotron uh so four jumping four times so unfortunately just the water there catching them in the end 8290 but just getting a little bit High early on and
Then just got in their rhythm again yeah I’d say that was a beautiful round she should be extremely happy with that time faults aside don’t need to count that right now but again just you could see looking down into that water yeah maybe didn’t quite get up to the boxes enough
Maybe the horse was backing off and she needed to use a little bit more leg but again if you just just only had a foot in the water you didn’t really have any fences down so that’s pretty incredible okay so uh best score on the board so
Far on the eight there for rally hiler and abor is Khloe Take us on to Ashley bonds now and Ashley of course winner here in this Arena before now in the five star with Donatello that she rides tonight Ashley Bon Show jumping originally of California now based here in
Wellington and on the horse she rad to 11th place at the Olympic Games good start for them okay this is on my short list this is one of them I’m going to put her on finished in eighth place on to week seven as well just went around for the
Four faults on that occasion so just ticking on the edge yeah she’s been right in the hunt every single time just a little bit of an unlucky rail here or there but they’re really really really knocking out the door and she always knows about the time allow this horse is
Nice and fast anyway so she just really has to focus on the balance especially to this fence take a time up and over that that nice forward to the purple and now just pull everything together this is really a short distance in between easy to very tall vertical very airy nice one
And then a very very steady six her horse has a nice short stride also can come together really nicely so that’s not a huge problem for her that water Trail is standing at 160 so full up to height here back to this this Rolex that’s a little bit narrowed up at 140
But then you you come around this corner yeah and that was about to say you come around this corner in the danger as you just start to cut into it exactly and that double uh the vertical lox there is just so tall you know you’re kind of jumping uphill and then jumping out
Downhill and again playing with the pitch is a big thing that all does as well so just on the fourfold 7439 so same score is just a few weeks ago for Ashley bonds and Donatello this time but it does leave them with the one rail down just there reaches for that first
Part 13 that was too bad but at least she you know she’s solid I think solid for week 12 the big week she’s obviously no stranger to that one having won that one a couple years back um and the horse looks super fresh Gabriel Matos madon of
Brazil and horse that was with the sweet Oak Farm this is Niles Belgian bread horse for Gabriel who’s been featuring more into the five stars here this season as well uh two top fives uh last week as well with land and Donna so he’s began getting the the taste of being on
Those podiums for the big classes too they came from Vicky vul in Belgium yeah and again we see another one have that back fence back pole down to that first fence again that’s not a freebie and and if we remember back to the Fidelity Grand Prix few weeks ago there were a
Number that had the first fence yeah that was you know oh has a skinny done as well but that was the strange part you know you that first fence typically you don’t see that come into play as much who wow got there uh but when it does
You know then you’re riding the rest of the course without in the back of your head yeah um but at the same time then maybe if you’re neat and tidy everywhere you can go for a very quick forall just trying to keep the control here down that
Line again four just coming a little bit longer there into the triple combination going to really have to steady up right here and doesn’t quite get away with it and a very steady six as well does that nicely first season for this pair into the five star did their F first five
Star here just a couple of weeks ago yeah he seems to be building up a nice string actually a lot of horses to kind of compete at this level which again is going to keep you sharp jumping at this level is a whole another ball game just
Catches the back rail of the double and finishes nice 16 jumping two time 0.90 for Gabriel deis Mado and Niles for the Brazilian just a couple of places there that they were just lacking a little bit of the connection that rideability went yeah and again you know you said this is
A new partnership it’s going to come with time you just got to get in there first get your feet wet you know when you’re jumping a meter 30 meter 40 versus a meter 60 it’s not going to ride the same things are going to come up a little bit quicker your distances are
Going to be a little bit a little bit tighter there’s no room for error at this height and uh that’s where you’re going to see uh just tiny tiny tiny uh incidences prove a costly rail so well tiny little kiss for a coach REM then from Natalie Dean there for the mar gold
Sport of California Natalie um who was sixth in the Grand Prix on week five in that Fidelity Grand Prix sat out the next one as well and they’re back in here won the u25 Grand Prix a few weeks ago and just getting a little revved up
This is a fabulous horse and she jumped onto the team last year for the us through to Aran as well again let’s we’re sort of getting a little bit of a bogey at the first fence but it’s not it’s not a problem for her yeah and I I
Would assume not or I would hope not you know I think she knows that at this point um but she knows this horse so well now they’ve been partnered together um for the World Cup and through other major events you know she’s now no stranger to the big sport team events
And now you she has an amazing amazing string so she has the ability to kind of rotate horses out uh but still keep herself in these classes very steady five I think we’ll see that a problem on some of the horses that might look at the water
So far some of these horses are very experienced have jumped this water in this ring before for stride no problem now she just kind of needs to pull it together a little bit yeah just got to to Bear the pace down here middle part here at 155 gets away with the
Rub very very steady six gets away with another you there is luck in the sport you have to be you have to have some luck well you make your luck as well oh and that’s the thing you just we can’t quite see there for that angle but you
Just feel they just start to try and cut that angle a little bit yeah and you know I think they think they’re done they’ve made so many huge efforts they’re coming right towards the end gate um sometimes they’ll sink behind your leg and even for that Split Second
That you don’t catch it that’s all it takes and it cost the real just on the 47450 been a good season though so far for Natalie Dean just the one down this time withot entr with B little look back here yeah just got a little bit into
That front Rail and again I think she had to leg the horse going through the corner making sure it was with her and you know those poles the horizontal pinstripe poles are so hard for horses to see um and you know just tagged a little bit into the front Rail and
That’s all it takes and the the fact he’s got it set just a little bit beyond the entrance means as you say you’ve got to really ride past that you know that’s on you to go wait make this positive exactly you know I don’t think that’s a
A coincidence riding past that and then the triple bar is kind of right almost right in front of that ingate going away from the yat so again that’s a you know if your horse has a drift that direction better watch out Adrien sterck and this is Oria for the Starlight Farms the
Belgia bread gilding by Thunder van zuto a 10-year-old for Adrian she jump around for one time fault in the we on week five been together since June of last year as well finished into sixth place of week seven picked up time fults there as well and again they’ve just sort of
Been plotting their way into these Grand PRI like we talked about you know forsaking a little little bit of time to start with to go I know we’ve got this but we just need a little bit of mileage to get to that really experienced go for
Stage this might be it yeah and Adrian has started to kind of build up her string as well you see a lot of new horses with her including this one a you know relatively newer partnership especially at this level a little bit of a hesitation at the water and I believe
Yep we had the water uh this horse jumps a little bit in her own style but I think she kind of knows that she knows where her legs are and she’s very clever about that in this so far they’ve really kind of built up a beautiful partnership she’s kind of stepped this
Horse up nicely let her take her time in some areas and again she has the string to kind of back it up as well very steady too little rub very very steady six I thought those green PS actually were going to be more of an issue
Yeah and then get it just gets a very tall vertical at that point is she she got a nice shot at the Rolex there yeah very much and you know you want to think about the time allowed a little bit but you’re also then hitting that Rolex
Fence on a bit of a curve uh so the horse isn’t pushing off incredibly Square which might not give me the best job 7977 just picks up the one type fault there and it is just one uh for time four fults for fults uh 7977
Combines to a score of five Frant St and Aria as you say here’s just a little look at the water and again from that point of view as we talked about in the pre-show it’s very different jumping the water here under lights you get some Reflections
And again horses that haven’t seen it so much there just start to stare into it don’t they yeah exactly and again it’s a placement of the water you know they can place this water anywhere they want on course um and you know coming towards home versus riding away from home is a
Completely different jump to them but but overall what we’ve seen of that horse I mean 10-year-old coming into the prime now she’s probably be very happy with that progression as it’s gone so far this season they’ve been certainly jumping fenses I would say she’s really excited yeah yeah so though a pack two
Big five star Grand PR there hasn’t touched a pole and to the Coachella cup million dooll winning combination and American Gold Cup winning combination last season uh Carl cook of the USA the California with Kinka for Helen Sydney Osby and car part of the team last week
For the US Squad as well but this is a pair that really could shake things up tonight and again they’ve kept the powder dry they’ve jumped some of the shows out in California just quietly and now arrived in Wellington ready to go and this is the hores first first time
Out here this season yeah again and a new atmosphere for this horse but you know this partnership they’ve been there done that you know they jumped huge classes uh he just won that million dollar class uh was that last year it was December though so it wasn’t much last last
Year um but he knows her so well and he kind of plays into her you know she has some little Antics some quirks um but that’s what makes her such a special horse and he allows her to kind of uh Express those um because she jumps in amazing rounds and so far it’s
Looking like a great round again here comes the first kind of test around the corner getting her eye on that and then slow it down I think he maybe added a stri there really slowed it down yeah I think he watched some of the others maybe the seven for him was a
Little bit too fast know worse there we go we said he might be wanting to shake things up tonight 7761 clear round number one coming from Carl cook and Kinka they want to certainly throw a firework into things yeah exactly you can never discount them um this pair has really proven themselves
They have a huge track record he has a great great couple of horses too in his string like you just said jump the Nations cup so he’s been in the top of the sport he’s kind of kept himself going and so you know he can kind of
Bring a seasoned horse like this into the mix and jump around like that Kyle Cook and Kinka into the game and will be first to go that jump off so they’ll they’ll certainly uh lay it down Laura CR also on the team with Carl last
Week and for that team gold back at the PanAm games as well bisca we saw jumping on the teams last week for the Cherry null farm and biscuit is the horse’s name uh Laura with the ride now of this fabulous 10-year-old mayor that again has been getting more experience here
Nine rounds that they’ve jumped at 160 clear 44% of the time um 20 for them and they’re looking good so far for the world 24 yeah I think she’s really excited excited about this horse you know they’ve jumped for sure some Meer 60 classes I know this course is going
To be a lot for this horse as every horse in the entire class um but I think the water especially really wanted to get up to that and I thought you jumped that quite nice had to steady up for the five and now just kind of smooth it out you know
You’ve already asked a lot of that horse and that’s the thing for Alan here is’s Alan Wade our course designer he’s just asking oh asking for control all the way what did you think of that yeah I I thought she tried almost too hard to kind of help
The horse out by maybe setting them up setting her up a little bit too much uh ended up having to then steady in the five and took the back rail as well but an otherwise beautiful round so far tall vertical there as 11 drops as
Well but as to say this is a combination that are really just starting to step up into these five stars as a horse I mean Laura’s done plenty of them one here ACR last year with baltin you in the five stars as well but overall I think not
Going to be too displeased with that either just creeps in sometime 789 yeah I think she might be kicking herself a little bit um just a little bit too deep into that really really delicate flank we’ll see here just kind of fought with her a little bit or the horse fought back and
Then jumped a little bit into the plank didn’t even see the plank and then had to add the five and took the back Rail and that’s where you say that’s where the connection comes with with Allen’s coures it goes wrong at one fence and very swiftly it’s upon you for the next
But Laura doing a good job it just didn’t quite communicate there between the two of them but that’s what’s going to happen as you as you progress but I’m really excited to see how that pair come out together looking very good as are this pair and Ken farington and grer on
This 10-year-old by kestus and again have been getting more fstar exposure of course he was PanAm team gold individual silver with Landon and again we’ve been lucky enough here to see keep progressing through nicely now into the five star winning National Grand PR here last year and has looked very impressive
Indeed as they’ve been stepping up Kent who’s been still on winning form WI a number of the we classes so far this season and just been close in the Grand Prix couple of weeks ago it was well he had the time just had a fence there and
And I think he’s going to be really hungry for this one yeah absolutely and you know now that she’s jumped just a few of these classes so far um she’s looking even more confident um now he gets to kind of test it out in the jump off like he did a
Couple weeks ago but I know he believes really strongly in this horse and he gave her a lot of time when she was younger to really develop um you know he’s great in that sense of really giving his horses the time that they need and really strategically placing
Him in the classes that he wants to jump with them um instead of just going in to jump around and they do a lot a lot of work at home kind of getting the horse to make sure the Bridal’s right everything’s right the control the right
Ability and the claudo is a huge factor of that as well they have a great partnership cuz ideally the show especially this level is the end almost the end product isn’t it there’s always going to be some ring experience to get but yes exactly and then that’s why you
See you know you don’t you know in the beginning we didn’t really see much of her and all of a sudden bam she’s in a a three star Grand Prix and yeah won that if not was in the jump off for sure um so he’s really great at kind of figuring
Out when to pull them out you know when to give them some rest and that was too bad well last fence goes 7712 and just almost bellied that looking at that yeah you know it’ be nice to see it um a little bit on the slow-mo but again you know that’s the
Last fence maybe he knew that was the last fence a little extra push or the horse maybe just looked up at the Jumbotron last minute got a little bit Hollow in its back look here just pulls it off unfortunately uh so it is four fults
Just on the edge there of a top round for Kent farington he was the pick of several earlier on and unfortunately not quite to be but it’s all part of the progression just finishing on one for Ken farington he goes close uh fourth best score so far KL cook G is the clear
With Kinka for FS we’ve seen Ashley Bond Natalie Dean and Kent so far Hillary Scott next and Hillary with the Oaks Milky Way ride of clearway for the Australian The Oaks horses all out of the um home family stud and breeding this horse by clearway she again was on
To the team uh last week this is the horse she rode at the world championships in 2022 and I love that I love that she’s had this horse for that long homebred what a successful story uh one that we small breeders wish to always have uh
But this horse is it’s a great horse great blood small light on its feet and at I think what is it 17 jumping around in a meter huge meter 60 class 1 easy easy for very delicate yep very delicate I mean the and again you just
See there if you’re not perfectly on the Rhythm there exactly and especially a skinny you know that has less weight than a normal fence does so even just a slight rub and it’s coming down same with these planks you know they use those upside down cups so you can even just breathe on
It DPS that well all that again you know maybe have some practice with that plank in the nation’s cup but she knows this horse so well and that’s great partnership just rolls off B and I figured B might be a problem B is just so Airy they’re just using three poles
And again with that green actually that might be the first time we see that green fence come down second uh second time yeah Laura had that one down as well in terms of coming into that combination though and we’ll maybe let’s let’s finish it off and maybe come back
To talk about that here down the final line on the 12 for Hillary Scott and Oaks Milky Way going to be a little bit over the time as well 81 uh 83 and so so picks up three times as well total of 15 just coming back into
The combination you’ve got to have again Rhythm just looked a little bit as though they weren’t quite finding that coming into the combination you need enough to get in but then that vertical is staring at you isn’t it exactly you know that’s coming home it’s kind of the
End part of your course those are two very wide oers with a very very tall very boring vertical in the middle that they kind of skim over to get out um you know you get a very short two stride you want to make sure you get in there okay
Steady up but then don’t get overly excited for C let’s take a look with Paul OA Ali wolf alongside me to run through tonight’s Banbridge five star G PRI just one uh on the clear at the moment that’s Carl cook and Kinka three of them on fours with Ashley Bal Natalie
Dean and Kent farington um in that order another very exper expen Horse and Rider of course Paul o with equestrian farms and emerald Partners emerald and now up with the 16-year-old horse the r through to the world championships by emerald and he himself winner of a fourstar Grand Prix already
This season but again early rail for them yeah he’s had so much success with this horse really great partnership that was too bad I think just you know coming around that fence is very hard to see especially against the back back drop maybe just didn’t get his eye on it a
Little bit of a slow caner to very tall vertical to start you off but now he’s got a really nice Pace kind of needs to make up some time around the corner if he wants to be competitive and just on the four and then nicely set it up really
Hold your breath over that gold plank nice ride out we haven’t seen too too many problems in that four stride and then we’re kind of seeing some issues through this triple combination especially the B part jump beautiful through that really really tall vertical and the water tray is like almost behind the
Fence so it’s it’s just drawing you exactly it’s a little bit of an optical illusion the horses just kind of forget about that top rail looking down very very careful that’s drops was too bad it’s a very short distance in the one stride kind of jumping uphill kind of jumping downhill
Finishes on 8779 26 and so not to be for Paul oay this time finishing on eight with everald Van vhof little look back here early rail just pops it yeah just looked like he maybe pushed through the corner a little bit where the horse didn’t get its eye on it until last
Minute just kind of changed the caner a little otherwise jumped a beautiful round beautiful through the triple combination yeah 160 on the way out there so again you need I mean going into that triple combination it’s 160 5 wide so you need some some some guts to
Get in there but then you’ve got that vertical okay it’s just two stride distance but that’s what he’s playing with there isn’t he exactly it’s kind of like a gymnastic you know you got to make sure that your horse respects the fences really stretches across but you
Can’t open them up too much so you can get them right back but then after you get them right back you have to open them up and stretch them out again but with respect for that front rail let see so you’ve got to be able to keep hitting
The gas put on the revs take it off put on the revs take it off damn if you do damned if you don’t yeah okay Vanessa hood and Vince this time for Vanessa World Cup finalist before now finish well in the grand PRI back into February
As well in the three stars then jumped a few five stars now and also well placed on the we out in the field on week six that’s the challenge cups those in the Grand Prix qualifiers and they’re pretty big classes in their own right yeah she line she’s starting to
Get some experience and exposure especially at the festar level I think this is quite new for her but getting great tutelage under Norman you know this horse is a huge jumper just that’s I think the first time we maybe saw that vertical come down um but this horse is
A little bit of a slow mover but a huge huge jumper so she always has to kind of keep that time allowed in mind but again if she’s just kind of really going for getting experience getting her feet wet um then that’s not a huge Factor really
Has to slow down for the be partco gets away with a nice rub and very very steady six very steady yeah yeah and again that’s what we’re talking about revs yeah exactly you know for a big moving horse you really have to steady up but also keep the impulsion
Underneath you at the same time and then worry about the time La yeah jumps in quite nice actually yeah this double coming in late and you’ve just got to push on down the five strides to 14 cuts down short on that 170 in spread at the last it’s 153 in
Height and again he’s he’s not overcooked on the heights but we were talking about this in the pre-show as well you’ll see spreads Peter Leon was talking about that you’ll see some big spreads from Alan Wade and that’s that’s what’s there but lands well over the water but I’ve definitely got some good
Parts to come out of this as you say training with one of the best in Norman dejour at the moment has work with some fine Riders of course over the years mlan and of course K parrington as well here through but as you say they just
Start to run out of space yeah exactly and that last oxer is no gimme too it’s kind of going a little bit uphill very very wide after a horse made a huge huge effort over that A and B part you got one more fence to go and just kind of
Cut down on the back didn’t get up there enough Mar delorier and the Canadian with balina who was his partner right the way through to the Olympic Games in Tokyo and balina really good uh consistent pairing as well actually they were second uh to Carl cook in that
Coachella cup million dooll class in thermal back in December Carl cook is our only clear so far uh Mario with the horse that he also rode onto winning teams here for Canada yeah another long partnership um this has been a great great partnership he knows this horse so well yeah 15 years
Of age now Arina by claro that always produces huge extravagant jumping horse you know jumps to their their offspring big jumping horses and just didn’t really get its eye on that triple kind of he realized that tried to give a little extra effort oh it just has the water too I
Think yeah straight in it yep and again has just got out of their Rhythm there and he’s just got to get this back now yeah exactly um you know again like we said there’s no breathing room here you get out of your Rhythm once you kind of have to try and put it
Back together but without risk of a Time fault now he just kind of needs to steady everything down just slow it down has the front rail of a jumps out over B and C really really really steady six gets over that okay and he’s just nicely pulling it together
I think for this last last bit just a little bit of a miscommunication to that triple bar but again it’s exactly where he placed it horses don’t really get their eye on that it’s kind of around a BRI very brief Corner they all just look at the out looking at the ingate really
Stretches over that last as well and and again found their feet again towards the final part of the course finishing on a total of 12 7738 for Mar delore and balina to but when they got into you know they were they weren’t quite where they wanted to be here and just a little
Bit of out of sorts and that was carrying on still here to the water yeah exactly and he looks like he kind of had to give the horse a little extra encouragement tonight um where he might not have seen it so much so um you know
Maybe this horse felt like it was a little bit backed off tonight really had to ride hard especially at that triple bar and especially if a horse has one down and it might get a little bit extra careful but Mario knows him Canadian Rider Kyle Tim riding for the rain
Family for marara this is kandal male and actually he’s been over competing in Europe for this Canadian with cassin with kandal M this time it’s actually Casino Calin yes Casino Calvin was the horse I was expecting him to ride there we go and it’s the horse he’s been
Riding on to Nations cup as well over in Europe to by Casino Berlin for Kyle and again arrived here just a few weeks ago had a little start off in Spain too to get into the groove he jumped on the Nations cups in the likes of Spain and
Portugal last year this is another move up but has looked a very impressive horse so saw yeah it’s been a great partnership uh not too much mileage um at this height I want to say he said this might be his second time jumping meter 60 and I know he’s a little
Worried about the water made a big effort I’ll remind him of that later and now just kind of has to make up the time allowed a little bit and then really pull it back together really get the horse’s brain to calm down beautiful four and then think about getting over
And then same thing just settling down this horse has such a big jump easy easy six and now we have to kind of think about the time allow of it yeah he’s he’s in trouble I would say I might be wrong but I would say he probably is in trouble here 79 isn’t
It gets the seven done nice really stretches across the back H yeah I think we might look for a time looking good yeah 7966 just one for time there Kyle Tim and casino Calvin but looking better and better all the time yeah absolutely and I think he
Maybe just had one timef in his last big class as well so um that’s a really promising start for a great partnership absolutely looking good uh as you say thought about the water no problem with soul yeah I even took off from a little bit further away so we made it even
Wider than it needed to be but still no problem and you want to get that water under your belt you know think about for Nations cups events you know maybe now he can count on this horse for some Nations cups two or around um he has a
Backup for his other horse as well top so he does looking good and another consistent combination here is corica the 10th and Renee dimer of Germany for Mark mes and the holsteiner by Connor 48 uh 11 years of age now for Rene who came over here to the United States in the
Fall and through to December and absolutely stormed it won several classes at Washington was second in the World Cup there top five in Toronto in the World Cup fourth in the Lexington World Cup at the national hor show and won the Grand Prix here uh back in December very nicely indeed thank you
Very much and has been very consistent had just the four faults uh in the five star on Grand PRI on week seven finishing in 10th Place there yeah I think he had such a strong fall um that he kind of convinced some of his owners
That he to stay over here a little bit longer kind of clean up a little bit more has some great horses I think that y counted yeah that was too bad just the horse didn’t quite stretch across the LA itself which again you know even if it’s
A seasoned horse that’s almost harder to get the horse to really pay attention to stretch across there’s a little kind of a foam base and that that shows the imprint of the foot that the water drudge is kind of inspecting at the moment jumps great through the triple
Combination and G the six no problem no problem with the Rolex and here we’ve been seeing some issues pushes hard in jumps across and now we’re really seen some of them having to oh rolls off the back rail of the last fence going to be eight that was the first fence that actually
Touched okay it was a foot in the water for them but it is 80 total 7461 for Ry dimer and Corsica um close close but not close yeah that was really a shame actually with the water just kind of stretched its front legs kind of split the front legs a little bit that
Was really a shame and then we’re now kind of seeing that five strides at the end right a little bit long for some people it really depends how you jump out on the one stride some people are woing and others are going so I think it rides different for every
Individual so Alise then and Alise who’s just back from Team competition well it’s probably already about four weeks ago now it’s all flies along very quickly uh with G Vera and that was out in Abu Dhabi on the first stage of the League of Nations competitions represented us there for
The High Hopes Farm in North Carolina now back here again and again more last year onto the teams some seriously good results over in Europe as well going to be really interesting to see how they Fair tonight yeah and she you know as we’ve seen all the team horses now get
Back come out of quarantine um and now we’re kind of seeing them kind of start jumping back up again uh and then we’re going to see Aaron in a few weeks on the team again they had a good outing I think they finished sixth um which is
Great for a very Rel relatively young or inexperienced team to go all the way over to Abu Dhabi um for their first long jeans League of Nations jumps well over the water now nicely through here she has a great partnership with this horse um you know
Again she also is building up her string she has a nice couple horses to kind of back this one up so she’s been still in the ring while this one may have been in quarantine yeah bonish jumping the other day into the big classes as well through this triple combination steps
Nicely through there hor puts a great effort out at C now kind of think about the time allowed yeah haven’t quite got a gauge on a point here of what you need to be yet but 79 obviously you need to be across the line she might be just about
But she’s got 9 seconds to get home it’s going to get squeaky tight yeah really had to fight with the horse to get that seven and then really stretching for the back yeah it’s not going to make it .35 it’s going to be two time unfortunately
For Le soen and G but actually as you say it’s difficult to say you’re not just you’re not pleased not at all especially in this class I mean you have what one clear yeah K cook the only clear so far they get closer again alisen goes into third at the moment
Kyle Tim just on that one time for for the Canadian with Casino Calvin but jumped really well jumped beautiful and especially I think maybe this is its first Grand Prix back um from abuabu Abu Dhabi um and just to go right into the ring coming off I mean you know clearly they
They learned a lot over there had a really solid couple of rounds and came really strong back into here uh n NASA now and well he’s been remaining here throughout the winter equestrian Festival here is with Olympic Rise um eagle from The evergate Stables and Nel again fantastic year
Last year including winning the $1 million Queens Cup in Calgary and won the grand PRI in Tron as well started off pretty well well this season too and and this could be a night for them to just step that extra little level yeah n’s been knocking at the door um very
Consistently yes he’s definitely gotten to jump off with this horse a few times just maybe had an unlucky rail here or there so I think he’s really really hungry for this for this win if not just to kind of jump a clear around get into the jump
Off I might put him on my list actually as long as he got over the first fence nice flyer at the vertical after the water again you just got to be careful how far you drift around there he’s he’s keeping moving though that’s the whole point yeah exactly and you know this
Horse has a little bit of a shorter stride but it’s always moving really Blood Horse so he never really has to worry about the time allowed unless he’s adding a bunch of strides but he’s been doing the same stride same amount and the six should be pretty easy for him
Here has the time nicely just gives it a little um scare in the cups there now he’s coming around there in 60 so should be should be good decides to go in a little bit on the bend in the seven might have to stretch for the back
Rail oh gets away with a nice rub okay this is definitely yet this is my this is looking good looking good and so n NASA gives us clear round number two I I think we predicted that right at the last second there Ali from that point of
View so that was that was looking good that first seem to be a bogey so I’m going to predict after the first F Well looking good there with two clears now and he joins Carl cook and so the clear from Nal NASA as well he’s going to be thrilled with that I think
He’s been really wanting that for a long time Spencer Smith has joined us up in the commentary box as well you’ve also ridden round um for you Keeneland like we said has been getting some great experience in here it’s been a good season so far yeah he’s been great um
He’s jumped a lot of great rounds tonight was I don’t know we were a little off here and there but I thought he jumped well you know it’s just new course and doing it so much I think uh maybe got a little casual and you know a
Lot we can work with lot to work with and let’s take a look around with the bull runs Gyra and Christen Vander V for the bull runs jumpers as well again little bit less experienced horse from jumping these big classes Ali but um Spence you’ve ridden round this now so
Give us your take on it yeah I think one two comes up pretty quick um I think it’s caught a few people out doesn’t seem like it comes up really nice no it doesn’t actually no it’s a little bit taller than you expect um that’s funny I haven’t seen many
People have that that’s the first time we’ve seen that okay this four is short but not as much as I thought it would be uh the water line rides nice the five they get a little bit depends if they jump the water but seems like a few have had that
Yeah the few a few have just landed in the water this time around yeah and as you say that the distance afterwards just comes should come up quite nicely for you yeah seems to work out for everyone uh four strides in there um triple combination what was the thoughts
Going through your mind at this point I came in easy I was I didn’t think there was much to jump there the the in is inviting be’s a little tall and see they jump well yeah and it actually helped the six rde still looking good for Christen
Vanine through that line couple on the scoreboard already with the eight FS at the moment with bu runs Gyra we talked about that turn how did that ride that Rolex fence cuz we felt it’s just a little bit easy to to cut it if you’re
Not careful yeah I I probably cut it a little bit because I wanted to get in on that seven to get there waiting which worked out um but I think that’s a really tricky last double it’s very careful it’s very tall coming down to it
Uh finish on a score of 12 there 80. 60 for Christen vanine and bull gy let’s have a little look here Ali good over the second fence again they’re just getting mileage on the on the block now yeah and Christen another one that’s really building up her
Strings she has a few young ones relatively inexperienced at least for her um but it’s nice to see her over here you know she spends some time in Okala um but I think she really wants to get real exposure from some of these horses these big jumpers and she really
Is doing that and let’s take a look at Roberto tan now this is a good experience pairing in deuk the Stallion by colandro that actually finished well at the the paname PanAm games last year too took them to individual seventh in fact to be exact about that and horsey
Raid through the World Championships um Spence you’ve written this now what do you think are the keys to this for anyone else coming up we got we got a massive two clears now n c yeah big ones I think that’ll be great that’ be a great jump up I think Roberto could
Really do it he’s a great Rider and this horse has been going well um the beginning of the course seems to kind of you know it’s important to get into the Rhythm those first two lines and then one that happens it seems to flow a little bit better you know if you have
Had this first fence really what was your take on it it was just it’s a little bit plain isn’t it you know just like come down to it and you wouldn’t think much of it you’re kind of thinking about this line before you even jump number one so I think that’s where you
Could get caught out yeah we’ve seen a few back rails of fence one um you know a lot of the time maybe they just came a little bit casual or came a little bit short strided like you said maybe planning on that short roll back to fence too right
Is around to down to the water this is a bit of a slower mover big stride but slower mover so he’s always going to have to think about that time allow like here really have to shave off this corner and then really take his time for
That plank Spen how do you feel it was time wise the time is you know depends it’s like allly said depends the horse you’re on I have a pretty quick horse so I wasn’t too worried about it but I’m going to help like Daisy ferish coming
Up soon she has a slower mover um bit more like this so she’ll have to think about it quite a bit and there’s really only maybe two corners that you can actually even think exactly yeah and there’s no one’s really changing you know the lines are kind of the lines
They’re not they’re not leaving out so if if you’re in time trouble you’re in time trouble exactly we we might be in come on here we were in clear round territory for just a brief second there and we’re out of it I’m afraid with the four uh
Just on the four there for Roberto to r at 77 .77 with de but it’s both of you said I mean that one had a very good shot at doing that Spence what was your take yeah I I think he jump really well the whole round that double is it doesn’t
Really match the rest of the course you know it’s a little bit more European built Airy standards tall um kind of narrow poles I think it it’s really tough to jump actually I thought that when I walked it Ali yeah we were kind of talking about how it almost kind of
You’re coming uphill a little bit to the vertical super delicate that almost stops you in the middle but it’s a very short one and then you’re jumping downhill so you’re thinking front rail of that Ox are coming out and I thought it was very clever of Allan to kind of
Play a little bit with the pitch if you felt that as well yeah you can see it when you’re walking of course how how a is quite a bit taller also just because of the ground you know yes uh it is Kathy Driscoll now for the plane bay
Farms are Rome lovely to see her in the winner circle uh in the last 12 months brilliantly over in Travis City he’s carried that through here to Wellington as well been winning several big classes with flotilla and now with arome this French bread gilding by Norway Deance yeah cat’s really been trying to focus on getting the ride ability with this horse I know she played around some bits Dro down to kind of me 30 me 40 really wanted to get that right um she knows the horse has the talent has the
Jump and the scope um but really you know for these big classes there’s really just Eed over that just didn’t even get up and over the water and had that um but she knows there’s no room for air with the ride ability in this so really wants to nail that down before
Going back up again nice roll back to that plank just gives it a little scare Spencer from the point of view the circle coming back to that you know you just got to be it just feels you got to keep that efficient enough yeah you have
To stay pretty tight there keep on the hind end you know because they want to get a little long after the water uh you know that was really smart building on Allen’s part just on the a for Kathy Driscoll and arome yeah and again another one has to
Think about the time a little bit and again another one coming around the corner just taged into it was really too bad and then has to actually steady up for the five well just going to be a little bit over the time as well two time 8.05 total of 12 for kathen
Driscoll and arome um Spencer you’re off on training Duty with Daisy Farish um big chance big chances tonight for her yeah riding great and our hores jumping well so we better go fingers crossed fingers crossed excellent thank you Spencer and uh we’re going to be joined uh just after this break uh Ashley
Bond’s come to join us in the Box as well as soon as and just to give us a quick rundown and then we are going into our second half of this class just a few minutes away um for you overall Ali wolf along s what’s been your thoughts um
Difficulty um you know now we’re starting to see def has come down everywhere again which is a sign of a good course Builder really the waterers become a bit of a difficult situation and kind of the RX fence which I wasn’t quite expecting I thought that four
Stride from the triple bar to the skinny was going to prove more of a factor or that orange Liverpool but um rails everywhere a huge huge track really really delicate at the same time and then obviously have to think about the time aloud yep those the two clear KL
Cook and n NASA as the clear so far as part of our lineup uh doesn’t take too long to run through those uh we’re going to head into a short break as you can see the water trucks are heading on in and our kaboto tractors from Florida

Banbridge companies.com you’re joining us for all the action from the biggest equestrian hor show in
The world the winter equestrian Festival join us for more after this short break I I think if you want to be a professional in the animal industry you have to love being around the animals First Nutrition is as it is important for humans that are athletes the same for the horses Platinum has been part of our program success as long as I have been here it
Starts within means that on the inside this is what I want and this is my dream and I’m willing to work hard for it to get There Back I am here with the person who was our first clear Carl cook congratulations excellent round how’d it feel out there it was amazing uh after the fact during it the course is so quick that it it it’s just all focused and trying to get everything correct absolutely uh this course clearly suited
Your horse what did you think played into her strengths the best um I think for me she’s so quick along the ground that I didn’t have to worry about the time allowed where for the horses that really have to worry about the time allowed it puts them at risk for all the
Really careful obstacles around the course absolutely what do you think your strategy is going to be going into this jump off knowing so far there’s only two clear yeah well you know I got to maximize our strengths on course and that is turning there’s two good roll
Backs in the course and I got to make sure I nail those so that I could set up the fence as well and not come flying into the double absolutely and you strategically chose to come only weeks 7 through 12 here and you didn’t even jump seven so this is your first five-star
Out tell us a little bit about that strategy I mean it it suited my horse you know it’s a long year and I wanted to not get drawn in too much to just show show show I wanted to say you know what this is a great week this gives me all the prep
All the time I need and as long as I’m correct I know my horse is there okay and the weather here is a little bit different than California right it is very humid tonight do you think that that plays a role with stamina and how the horse performs I think yes but you
Know all the horses here have been here for a while and it’s a little bit cooler now and you know they’re all such top athletes that I I don’t think it’s that big of a factor and what about the atmosphere of course we’re under the
Lights it’s a lot of people around a lot going on does that play a role as well oh yeah you know these horses at this level I think they only get better in this type of atmosphere and they you know they open their eyes but in a good
Way to be like all right now it’s time yeah absolutely and uh you know what is your plan for the rest of season down here uh my show a little bit next week in the four star uh then I go up to Okala and then I’m here week 12 try to
Close it off with another clear okay well sounds like uh you have a big couple of weeks coming up and of course good luck in the jump off and uh we’ll see you out there thanks for joining us thank you so much all right Stephen
We’re going to head back to you in the box so thanks to Carl we’re back to you Stephen thank you very much Danny yes uh we are ready and waiting to get back underway with the second half of this Bainbridge company’s festar Grand Prix two clears at the moment Nan NASA Carl
Cook and again a little bit of evaluation into this alley to put that in perspective okay we’ve had some strong ones early on WE we’ve not seen other lik Laura cck go through and uh Kent farington a few of those but again strong group coming up came out of our
Qualifier earlier on this week Shane sedam still to come Harry Charles of Great Britain new face here this week Keo Connor uh Kendra brinkop of Germany uh Jordan Coy will go last mlan ward yet to go with kalis as well so although we see two there I could still still see us
Going in a different direction yeah for sure and you can’t discount you know some of those that are on a roll like Derk Kenny um you know Shane has a different one and we kind of see Shane with a different horse each time he has
Just so many horses he can kind of pick at this point which is fantastic um so we can’t count those people out um that are on a roll that are on fire or just have a lucky night yeah absolutely so uh two clears at the moment and they are to
Be in fact both of those Riders here’s my fact both of them won Million Dollar Grand PRI last year one in Canada one in the USA there you go h there you go now I got to go down the list and find some other million
Dollars I’m G to go rifle around my saer and see if I can find some million dollars I don’t think I’m going to find it under the cushions uh but uh they have certainly found their well to the top of those classes Kyle Cook and n
NASA but I say strong group coming up yet um we heard a little bit from Spencer Smith there as well having ridden the course uh we’re going to hear from Ashley Bond shortly as well um what did you glean from what they’ve said has it changed your mind on anything yeah it
Was just interesting you know having ridden it um he kind of talked about the similar things that we had mentioned um you know I think he said surprised him a little bit the triple bar to the skinny that four wasn’t quite as steady as everybody had walked and I thought the
Same thing uh I think maybe that’s why it’s not posing as big a problem you know sometimes that triple bar they land so shallow it actually creates space uh for the four um I think just like he said too that one stride through the middle the second to last obstacle has
Really proven difficult again I think that was playing with pitch as well um I was a little surprised we haven’t seen a more of the Liverpool either Liverpool oxer or vertical um but and again the the plank hasn’t come down as much as we expected it would and that forest ride
Kind of rides quite nice yeah otherwise I like we have talked about I think just like Spencer said everything really comes up um all together riding all together almost like an indoor you know you’re looking at a huge outdoor space but everything is so connected so I think that’s the difficulty in riding
This course so uh lots to take in there from that point of view and and we also got Ashley Bond joining us in the commentary box as well um Ashley you’ve obviously been around this course already what were your thoughts oh you know that I made a
Mistake and my horse is wonderful I actually I felt like the course rode really well it’s Allan Wade so you know what to expect everything’s going to be a lot of rideability um and uh connected lines and like he makes a big ring feel like
It’s small um which I know we were just talking about um it’s long actually which uh when you’re jumping this height is is a feet and in of itself um but all in all I thought it’s a really smart course I think we’ll have you know five
Six maybe seven clear if we’re lucky wow that’s I feel like optimistic I going to go I’m going to go with her on that I think maybe six yeah six um we got five strong field coming in and uh good horse rider combinations I think this one
Could be one um but they got to be quick and she will have to worry about the time a little bit for Lily Lily Keenan and a de Bell for the shet Farm of New York and for them y they’ve jumped some terrific rounds but yes seventh uh onto
The five star week and to week seven three time for them that occasion like Ashley said now it’s now it’s time to go with this very good combination she’s written through to World Championships and Brilliant stuff from her on that occasion and so let’s see Rand with them
She’s the winner of the Monteray Grand Prix before now Ottawa festar Grand Prix last season wi here overall Ashley we talked a little bit with with Spencer Smith there about the time there’s not a lot of places to make it up if you if you are in
Trouble um in my opinion uh you need to get going from one to two 3 to four uh The Skinny red to the water and then after the water line you have to be quick I went inside the timers I think a lot of people are going around and then
You got to give yourself the time for that four or five stride um the triple and then the last line so I think if you’re smart about your track in the beginning and riding your turns forward and not going too far out then you won’t have an issue yeah so she was there
Pretty tidy um but this horse is a slower mover so she’s going to have to be on it Ally you’ve seen this pair in action plenty of times now yeah and it you know we haven’t quite seen uh this horse out too too much this circuit um you know
She has a lot to call upon these days especially younger ones that she really wants to get uh feet wet kind of get going before the summer starts um and so you know with an older more experienced horse doesn’t really need the practice or mileage to get in here so really
Saving it saving its legs to jump big classes like this just getting set up around that corner but as you say just we we’ll see how this comes out jumping beautifully so far now this triple combination this this is um actually where that real balance of of power and pace is needed
Yeah the the vertical is tall um but I thought that uh Aran handled that well um so it’s just going to see how she brings it home in this last line yeah just 64 65 is going to be very close I’m not sure they’re going to make it yeah I don’t think
So like a very good combination so far 79 seconds time allow it’s going to run close for them and it’s just going to run a little bit too close um just pushes for the Finish there 8.38 but over the time allowed two time for ly Keenan and G the Bellard Ali yeah big
Takeaway you know the horse jumped amazing looked like no effort at all um you know maybe if she’s going to use this one for week 12 then that’s going to be a great great class to go upon yeah looking good very nicely round just as he just sitting on the time fors
There two for time couple of those doing that Alise soen and G also on the two time ly Keenan on two Kyle Tim on the one and n NASA and Kyle Cook of course on the Zero score Samuel danan now who arrived last week uh for the Nations cup
The British Rider former winner of the Spruce Meadows Masters back into 2018 Paris Grand PRI that was with Suma Zoro jumped on the team uh for the UK in Spruce Meadows with this horse as well wkd Toronto owned by Joan Sloan Allen who’s been his longtime supporter with
The U ride of Toronto by Tores he’s he jumped some very good rounds last week this is one that is going to get again a little bit more exposure but jump round Spruce has has got the opportunity here Ali yeah exactly and if you jumped around Spruce I think you’re getting a
Lot of exposure there uh but again you know coming into a sand Arena that’s a completely different environment um but Sami is no stranger to these big classes kind of nursing some of these horses around that maybe haven’t seen um such delicate rails such as that um that’s
Actually I think the third time maybe that we’ve seen that I think he was expecting that six to not ride as long but he the horse kind of fell out to the left and it made it really forward and he’s again very long at the water he’s
Just kind of flat and and a bit strung out it seems we’ll see how this four or five goes yeah really really delicate plank in and uh as Ashley mentioned that she added the five strides um where a lot of others did the four I think we just
Suddenly saw Laura do the five but she got herself into a little bit of trouble with the plank um but again we see that tall tall vertical come down again yeah I just feel like the just from the beginning the horses kind of on this
Like you know hectic caner a bit and I think it just at this height you need a little more balance which I think that was well done yeah but I feel like you know the horse’s stride isn’t so long so he was having to chase in a lot of
Places but overall it actually the the faults don’t equate how the round looked it looked it looked pretty good finish on a score of 8 75 81 for semi other I mean your one well come we just mentioned you five shorted yeah for me honestly this horse I I would have done
Seven in that line I think if he were to do it again he probably would have done seven and uh maybe Six coming home cuz it was just a bit too far and I think strung out I think this is well okay this is the second week for Sami Under
The Lights jumped into the Nations Cup last week again it’s getting used to that that big differ this is like night and day difference from the Nations cup was much smaller and much much easier much it’s it’s an advancement yeah Erin Ballard who was on that Podium last week
For the Nations cup as well with Lan feda and the esperans are Imports Gia now as well I mention not just Lily Keenan but her also Erin Ballard with her world championship ride now as well um for her super running the Nations cup as well with libido and finished well in
The netjets Grand Prix and and continues to be one of the class Riders out there Ali I mean these two have been together for a number of years now we don’t need to run through that too much but yeah just a little bit unsettled over that
That Ms yeah and I I think this might be a good Contender actually to look for uh for in the jump off especially as a female maybe representation yeah um but uh this partnership you know they’ve they’re no stranger to the Championships especially the big water oh what did you
Just say I think I just jinxed that didn’t get up to it unfortunately he kind of looked like he studied it a little too hard it looks like some of them are kind of studying it last minute yeah you know I think this is C curle hasn’t been coming out um as frequently
Maybe he’s just a little bit Rusty needs to get into the groove um he’s jumping some good jumps but I think he’s just he just needs a a little more practice uh for this season to get into form and that that’s a balance I mean you you’ve
Got horses like Donatello that have been there and done that and and you know what your horse needs and how much they want to come out some are better for coming out more even in the explosion was better for doing more yeah and I learned that the hard way actually in
The beginning of the season I was to bring Donnie out week five and he stepped on a rock so he was out and then I brought him out for seven and he felt terrible he was so tired in the we and like fell over two jumps and I was like
Really stressing and then I called my vet and was like he needs energy help please and he and he did so now he’s feeling good but I think it’s similar you know Curly’s older and um maybe they just need to kind of get in the groove absolutely well one that was in the
Groove last week was Islands David O’Brien the shet Farms which is the Keenan family and the leap year Farms ELO onto the top of that Podium and it was a really interesting Irish team last time around I think it was the first time for all of their horses into a
Nations cup as well but David had jumped himself onto the team we interviewed him um a little bit earlier on and we heard from him you know he’d got the opportunity there he’s jumped some really good rounds here he was top three in the in the Grand Prix on week four as
Well finished well in the wests and is has put himself there and that’s what you got to do yeah no this him and this horse have been informed and um I think they should have a good shot at jumping clear tonight yeah he’s put in a lot of
Time and energy um working with this horse you know this horse OB see has a lot of energy pretty rambunctious also jumps a little bit in its own style so he’s really really taking his time to kind of develop the horse to how he
Wants it to be ridden uh I think we see it paying off now mhm yeah if you saw from 1 to two he was really tight around um the palm tree and then he angled in on the six so that it rode uh more direct and not so long that was
Smart that was a very good ride to the water but the horse now make sure you get the next one whoa got there little sticky a little hectic but I think he’ll pull it together here hopefully yeah and I think for some of those horses that
Maybe look Peak down at the water you have to override the water and that kind of the rest of your course I had a feeling that was coming the horse’s shape if you noticed it started really good in the shape of the jump and then as that
Happened at the water the horse got inverted and and the shape kind of fell apart and then you saw the result with the plank yeah but I think it looks like he’s actually kind of put it back together nicely to finish the course just on the four here for David AB Brian and
Elbo stands at the moment coming Ah that’s another one yeah I think I think it just kind of fell apart at the water the horse got a bit too careful and then it Chang the ride and at this level I mean millimeters make all the difference so he’ll know
What to work on for the next time absolutely finishes on on eight there for David O’Brien and shame for them there Alli yeah that was too bad I I think just what Ashley said as well you know kind of had to open them up for the
Water and then just lost a little bit of the brain uh had to put that back together again and then you know the plank you just have to have such a quiet attitude and he was just still a little bit ramped up from the water and then
That kind of carried across to the next fence as well um but I thought he pulled it together kind of nicely but that one stride at the very end really backs a lot of those horses up and so I think he just got thought high again and just had
To stretch for that back rail got got the elbows going at the edge flap flap and we get up in the air um David OB Brian has say been doing a very good job this season as we go on to Brian Canan now Brian’s first five star of this
Season but he’s jumped plenty of them on Armic now for the Irish team rider for Mr Mrs Bob Stiller and himself for his in-laws there and so Brian Canan and armi as say been into battle plenty of times here too uh two clears on the
Board at the moment with n NASA and Carl cook at this stage they’re still not jumping up at a Sally yeah I mean this is I mean we knew this was going to be a difficult track uh I guess this is just proving just how difficult a track this
Really is but when you’re jumping for $385,000 it should be difficult um he really started off quite nice and now we’re kind of seeing that liver pool come into play got a big jump across the water and had to really steady up for that vertical and now kind
Of has to think about time allow a little bit wide on his track around here so we’re going to watch the time yeah just up getting a little bit that time just putting enough pressure on from that point of view we’re going to chck now now’s up with us in just a a
Moment’s time to talk about that let’s get to the end of Brian’s round just on the flo at the moment here’s this this big alley alley um that’s hard to get through yeah we’ve seen you know this triple combination come into play a little bit but it’s not the biggest
Factor on course uh like some of the Riders were just saying that b element is just very tall and also just very boring um but a and C they’ve been saying kind of rides quite nicely but the Rolex fence I think is the one of the bogey fences on course along with this
Double yeah just again has to shake it up at the last there so going on a score of 12 7778 for Brian Canan and armi like I say joining us in the box is n NASA um hands in the air well done thank you thank you hey Stephen hey allly thanks
For having me up here I called you on that yes y yeah she called it I will I will I will act as evidence I will act as witness for that one um turn back here to the to the Rolex how’s that down unfortunately for
Brian Canan um Nel talk to us about your round oh man I’m just so pleased with my horse uh he’s 16 so he’s getting up there in age and we’ve been trying to preserve him as much as possible um it worked out well this week that we didn’t
Have to jump the W so I could just give him an easy Jump Around yesterday and he just felt unbelievable I mean this is our fourth season together but it still feels like I’m figuring things out you know tweaking our training tweaking the bridal a little bit looking for that
Ideal connection and today um we were really W in there that’s that’s what it felt like der Lennon Irishman who was one the Mexican tourist shows last season world champion back to 20 2002 he’s been a European gold medalist as well but got some good experience with
This horse in Mexico milw Cicero the Irish bread Horse by Cicero Zed uh I’ve got Ali wolf alongside me and n NASA now um Nel talk to us talk us through a little of dermot’s R and how it interpreted for you yeah yeah so when I walked this course I thought Allen built
A real real tough track um a lot of oers at the end of the course um it starts out relatively Fair um just a simple roll back and then a slightly inside six to the arz AU but that already is causing some trouble going into the corner with the Liverpool to draw the
Eye down and then you have a triple bar that comes out of the corner to a short very short four um but I have to say that four is not riding as short as it walked because they’re jumping the triple bar up in the air they’re having
To stretch a little bit on AES um and then you have your line to the water which is a huge run up you you can nine or 10 strides is what it walked and then five and a half On The Backs side uh I’m sure we’ve seen that that vertical come
Into play a little bit here and there um and then you kind of have to reel everything back in to jump that very delicate Plank and then step up and four to the oxer and then it walked very middle to middle and 10 to that triple combination um Ally was mentioning
Hasn’t caused too much trouble tonight the oers are friendly enough the middle element is quite tall but you do have two strides there to to manuver it and then it’s just a very normal six uh maybe hair on the steady side if you get a good jump out of the triple and then
This is our this is really the the final test of the Class A very tall narrow oxer coming out of the turn away from the ingate a loish seven um to very difficult double very tall in very wide out and then another big scope test a
Long five to wide oxer jumping into the corner so um it’s a tough track um I’m not just saying that cuz I jump clear um when I when I walked it yeah when I walked it I thought there was just a lot of oers at the end a lot of scope tests
Derit did a good job here looked like those delicate jumps kind of caught him out yeah and maybe now we’re seeing that Aires oxer come into play um it’s definitely cost a few people uh some rails now tys ran now of Australia also on to the teams last week into the
Nations cup for Michael and Wendy Smith of middleberg Virginia here in the US where she’s based H to be we talked to her a little bit in an interview um earlier on as part of our program as well H and high star hero two very good
Horses uh for her and high star hero jumping very well into the early Grand pris too she had a very good start to the season and again she’s she’s very high on this horse Ali and I think again they’re just on the of potentially good things yeah I’m very high on this horse
Too I really like it a lot um you know she’s great with these kind of temperamental mares um really they jump really well for her um horses tend to jump actually quite well for her she’s had great success like you said with the bay one I think she’s going to jump that
One um week 12 so she’s really kind of getting exposure for this next upand Comer um but it is a lot of horse to handle you know chest up Mars it’s very typical um just a little bit High strong really now have to kind of of get it all
Back together especially uh after jumping that water opening her up and now really having to kind of calm that brain down again um you know as you see you can see that black mask on her face and just too bad that plank is just so delicate na the turn there it’s such a
Fine line you’re coming from such a open first the Open Water then an open distance to vertical and you want to use that turn to put them back together but if you overdo it you end up a little slow around your turn having to move up
To the the plank and that’s kind of the last thing you want to do to such a delicate jump so the Riders are having to find like a happy medium there where they can get the horses Back in Balance without having to break their Rhythm too much it looked like TAA really slowed
Down should a great job getting her horse back there uh but then just ran out of push um for that plank now she’s did a beautiful job down that last line I mean that horse jump fantastic and the horse just a couple of rounds this level as well looking looking down at the
Jumper stats as I am um but from that point of view finishing just on the four that that’s very much in the right direction she’s got to be very pleased with that big smile on her face I think she is yeah yeah and here we are and
Down it goes just doesn’t get enough height there that yellow plank jumps so bad it’s hard to get the H’s eye on it it’s hard to get them to respect it I don’t think she really did anything wrong there that was just unlucky McLean Ward now leading little introduction for
The rider again still in the world’s top 10 mlan with Callis winners of the five-star Grand Prix here last season seconds in the Grand Prix just a few weeks ago in that legano Grand Prix there um we talked about in the pre-show quite a lot earlier on um Nal he going
To have the bit between his teeth to go one step further up for sure yeah McLean’s a winner through and through and um I think he’s going to be thinking about that second place um in the last festar Grand Prix where he just got pipped by Richie um the May’s coming out
With air over the first two and I’m sure McLean’s feeling pretty good about his chances tonight such a difficult course Al yeah I mean you can see mcan’s very hungry for this um he’s been in a lot of results a lot of uh play scenes but hasn’t really quite gotten um maybe some
Of those big winning big money classes under his belt this circuit um so we all know that he’s probably very hungry for this because Niel from this point of view you guys it’s it’s nice to be on a Podium but that’s not what you’re interested in you’re counting the number
Ones aren’t you absolutely absolutely I think any of us at this level we hungry for the win um obviously we’re happy when we’re on the podium as always is a great night but um whenever you can do your best to to get on the top place of
It that’s uh that’s ideal he putting together ah great round but just loses a bit of height there Trails the end almost looked like she jumped too well in the first half and then now starting to run out of steam a little bit but McLean’s just going to piece this together and make
Sure he ends on a positive note yeah it’s a long course 14 fences I think 17 obstacles yes the clan did that very well you saw him creep up the inside line to that double so the seven doesn’t get too long so you can really coil the
Horses up and stay patient and have enough room to press them out um it’s a tricky line because if you hang out a little too wide you end up coming forward on the seven and if you get away with the vertical you just run out of
Room at the oxer so it’s one of those lines that need to be perfect yeah that that was really too bad I think the horse was maybe just looking through the vertical to the oxer thinking about stretching first before rocking back and same thing just jumped
A little bit past its Arc over that Liverpool um that was really a shame cuz it jumped like you said it jumped amazing it’s difficult cuz this horse has its own technique you can see it doesn’t really jump through its wither so when you have a delicate vertical
Like that in the middle of a combination you really want them to curl it and get their wither nice and high and I can imagine that’s probably one of the more difficult combinations for him to jump on her come on be honest n you jump clear are you sitting here going great
There’s another one out a little bit yeah okay Zena risby the 18-year-old with the Exquisite groups exquisi is the mayor by of the Nations cup the other day we saw a few have that first defense but we talked about that it’s it’s again little plain it’s it’s an easy enough
First Defense but you’ve got to respect it that was a shame we actually I don’t know if we really seen front rails come down we’ve really seen the back rail come down almost like she kind of rode into it and the horse just didn’t really
Come up and jump up to her like she was maybe hoping uh just maybe looks a little bit tired or deflated over that uh skinny got over the water nice though St she was on the Nations Cup team last week so the horse had to jump
Two big rounds come back again for the five star it’s little expected that you know she’d run out of juice a little bit but there’s also an a thought process there I would imagine of while you’ve got the opportunity to keep back getting back in there get back in there
Absolutely I mean she’s 18 years old she rides unbelievably well any mileage she can get at this level um is just going to be beneficial for her in the long run you can see po coming down but she’s really she’s not riding bad you know
It’s just uh it’s a it’s a two-man game as as they say you know you need your horse to be with you 100% And this horse has produced so many great rounds this season that um I think we’ll we’ll give it a pass for this round here Zena just
A beautiful Rider great balance good timing it was just a shame just not night finish on 127740 for Z risby exed to pasi Ali yeah and just like what Ashley was saying you know they jumped the Nations cup two rounds and it was a few uh holes
Lower anyway so I’m sure this is probably one of the biggest tracks she’s jumped if not the biggest track especially for such a a young Rider so I mean like you said she rode nothing poorly just you know maybe a little bit out of gas just look to touch empty but
Something to kind of experience and if she wants to jump week 12 then she got the exposure abolutely Luciana losio now of Brazil was part of that top three The Net Jets Grand Prix and part of that was won by Tiffany Foster in fact there was a female one two three you were
Mentioning you know come on for the lady Riders later a little bit earlier on I know I might I might go for this one I I really like this this is one I think could come out of the pack uh lady Louise for jumps nine rounds over these
Heights clear 33% of the time from that point of view again heading back to the jumper stats for that um and again top three finish in the start of the Season she’s been a World Cup winner in sou Paulo okay this is another level up Nel but
Just getting a little un settled there yeah the horse cut into the inside took the distance away from her she had to make an adjustment there moves up the inside line in the six really well this is a really fun partnership to watch it feels like they you know know each other
Inside out that their best friend so to speak um you can tell this horse does more for her than it probably would for any other Rider like there she stands off the water and it just reaches for that tape and sits itself back to to jump that delicate vertical she went
Around the timer here I don’t know what you guys have been seeing it feels like that it’s just a a place so you can save time without taking too much risk um so I wonder if she’s going to sneak inside the time allowed this is naturally quick horse
Though putting putting together a great round so far yeah I know I’m I’m afraid to talk I’m going to jinx it oh just squeaks over starting to drift to the right oh really has to put a yes little studied a little bit too well actually she’s getting stuck in here yeah yeah
Needs to keep coming along a little bit for that time allow yeah I was going to say she’s going to be running very very close now she just needs to get a little bit of pace up here and not not get too pedestrian down this line time allow of
79 yeah go on yeah wow amazing 7735 Lucy L losio we said uh would potentially be one to come out of the pack there and there she does once again so there Ally you’re happy I’m happy I called it before fence one did you did and she’s
Happy Nel’s very happy with her R not so happy he’s got another one no that’s okay that’s okay she deserved that she rode unbelievably well um I mean it’s such a cool sport you know it’s such a partnership sport you can really see that with that combination especially
Here coming into the triple it starts to just shift to the right it really slithers over B slithers overc and she just has to make such a quick reaction on the backside to make sure she fits that six in and doesn’t stay too unbalanced that was that was brilliant
Jimmy torano the iso Incorporated jet show Stables of here in Wellington’s Chewbacca HC see 12-year-old Hiner Now by claro that’s been jumping a lot of very good rounds with Jimmy as well um Finish Well into a number of the we classes here too claro tended to be a
Big jumping horse here as well n Allan and this is a horse that won the qualifier at the Hampton classic last year um it’ be interesting to see how they go here yeah Jimmy’s done a great job with this horse as you can tell it’s
Got a huge body huge stride so as a rider you want to make sure you have all the buttons in place that you can compress it when you need to and then just use that TR to your advantage when um when you don’t need to he gets a little stuck here at number
Two you can see that six is so normal for him he just sat chill for the first two or three strides and then stepped up there also slower going horse so Jimmy has to be very aware of the time allowed there is that big stride coming into
Play you can see the horse shake its head kind of fight him when he went to steady up and he just ran out of room there yeah like you said it’s a slow mover um kind of big jumping type um but at the same time it just does look very
Sensitive um very sensitive in the mouth and I think Jimmy kind of has to coax it along hold its hand throughout the course um kind of get the fight out of it done a little bit early so he can just remain even on the on the RS right
In front of the O coming in hot here eight anded to 10 so was an aggressive ride beautiful say came through there fantastically I mean it’s been a really good combination to see over the last 12 months stepping up a new level came back really nice in the 62 actually yeah
Seems like the horse is now settling in anding a fantastic round big scope test not a problem little rub on the back rail but stays yeah really W up into that second part of the course that was a shame couple cheap early rails leaves them on a score of eight
There for Jimmy torano and shac at HCC in the nicest possible way Nel I’m going to kick you out thank you I should probably go figure out where I’m going in this figure out where you’re going and good luck and I hope we see you later thank
You thank you to n NASA he’s one of our clears uh so far for our grand prix as it stands three of those at the moment now NASA Lucian loio and KL Cooks we’ve got Egypt Brazil and USA Ali wolf alongside me we now now remain just the
Two of us once again Carlo sank carero 23-year-old for Mexico and what a run he’s had he won nicely in a Grand Prix up at okara the world Equestrian Center just the other day two won the win came back won the 150 class here as well as part of our M
Series jumped to the Nations cup before now too H5 poros Maestro uh wh set to give the full title by Picasso for this 10-year-old for the H5 team and again he’s got a widen string of superb horses the whole family involved the H5 team trains with Eduardo Dees andri Gonzalez
As part of that Squad too and he’s now really coming into his own with this exactly you know big family support that help a lot great tutelage um and you know you can’t discount a rider who’s on a rooll so and I’d say he’s he’s been on
A rooll lately so um he’s had an amazing amazing circuit you know jumping and winning some of those 150s obviously he would want a good five star under his belt um but again you know a younger Rider really just building his string and working his string up all to get
Into Under The Lights into these big classes especially to prepare for summer really hustles around the corner that was a nice time saer and then nicely slows down for the plank stretches across that back rail we haven’t seen much trouble with that purple oxer unless you kind of miss the
Distance in on the plank ah victim to fence B again mhm very very steady there and rolls that off as well maybe just didn’t quite get the steady done early enough and now a little bit wrestling with the horse got a light rub at the Rolex
Here Comes kind of the careful test of the course and then a big stretch at the end that was too bad yeah finish on a score of eight there at 7664 eight FS two down for caros srer and H5 poos Maestro but they are again
Like I say they won the just the other day they’ve won twice in the last couple of weeks just knocking on the door here it was just here they lost a bit of bit of bit of pace yeah exactly and I would say you know two tall vertical kind of
Happen simultaneously maybe just one problem one issue to fix um that might just come in the ride ability making sure the horse comes back when you ask him to come back and like some of the Riders have said before all it takes is just a millimeter of not listening or
Listening to kind of have a rail or keep yourself clear Daisy farrish we mentioned here a little bit earlier on the 23-year-old uh Spencer Smith been back out to help her of course she’s riding uh with the Ashlin team there but this for the Lane’s end show jumping of
Course her uh family very much entrenched in horses and notably racing Lan end a very famous stud uh up in Kentucky produced some of the top race horses around the world Daisy with Orwell SCF which again not so experienced here is just starting to do these 150 plus um rounds uh horse from
The Spy Coast Farm hence the SCF by their stallion dictator and you know so they got a big Kentucky connection here from that point of view because spy coost ever in Kentucky as well um but I pulled this one out a little bit earlier on as as a young younger rid to watching
This yeah exactly and you know you see this horse this horse has been jumping a lot through circuit but you see him just progressing more and more and more and like we talked about with Ashley some horses might even just be better um the more they jump instead of maybe giving
Them a break and that was just too bad got a little bit underneath that skinny just didn’t quite come back for the skinny and just again a foot in the water yeah and that was kind of one of the earlier times that we’ve seen that fence come down as well maybe just not
As responsive um when she asks him to collect especially right after the water when you ask them to stretch back out again really had to stretch for the back rail there now just needs to kind of pull it together bring the nose into the tail gets away with a rub on the back
Rail very very steady six just looks like the horse is a little bit at the fences tonight yeah maybe needs to think about okay maybe not at this point but time allowed and another one falling victim to the Rolex ver uh Rolex oxer right into the front
Rail and we we’ve seen this horse out a lot so you know maybe it’s been there done that it’s kind of seen these things it’s not as impressed anymore maybe it’s just a little bit tired um but she’s gotten uh I think she started maybe in
The two or three star in the beginning of circuit and worked her way all the way up successfully into the five stars so she’s got to be happy with that so it is 20 and one for time there for Orwell SCF and Daisy far you say it’s a learning experience that’s coming just
Unfortunately that skinny early on again once you’re traveling there’s not a lot you can do there yeah exactly and you know she’s really fighting to get the horse back maybe she uh slowed down a little bit too early had to push the gas a little bit back to that um orange oxer
After the water and got the horse strung out again just wasn’t quite responsive the way she was hoping well number 16 Derek Kenny and Amsterdam for the Vlog show Stables um two tips in our pre-show uh ium Grand Prix show Georgina Bloomberg and Pete Leon saying Derk
Kenny for this and why would they say that well he won uh the Fidelity Grand Prix here back onto week five as well uh fabulous horse that again he’s very carefully been producing back into the the top level horse that road at the Olympics and and went brilliantly here
With tny vlock before now the owner and then spend a little bit of time on the sidelines but has just been well produced back into the Limelight here yeah and I know he thinks really highly I think this is actually going to be a good pick for for the next round as
Well um a little late into that but uh horse is jumping beautiful I know he thinks so highly of this horse so does Teddy um and I think he he gave it a beautiful that was a beautiful jump right there um I think he gave it a a
Good time to come back you know progressed it slowly back really took his time cuz he knows how special this horse is um and you can really kind of see him now just now kind of stepping back into the Limelight um but you know that slow giving them time is really
Paying off when it’s coming to these big classes now and this horse has so much scope so much ability and I think Dara just really really trust him it’s one of his favorite in his string as well really a reliable dependent horse and I hope I just Jinx him here okay that wasn’t
You looks like he came off the vertical so nice that he just didn’t really focus on stretching across for that back rail Dar tried um but that’s again you know the plight of the the double there unfortunately just the four there for the big tip from the team Derk Kenny and
Amsterdam but so close let’s take another look here Ali yeah he came off so nice off the vertical maybe landed a little bit shallow and then just made the one too far away uh for the horse to stretch for that back rail that was really a shame he jumped a beautiful beautiful track
Very close sta Kenny knowing he was so close to another big shot here just the three in the jump off so far n NASA Lucian loio and car cook at the moment we’ll kick off with Carl cook uh from there uh we’re into our group this is
Around about what about 89 left to go uh KY D the Grant Road Partners New York’s brego R&B uh not to be underestimated this is another one to watch I’m I was just going to say you know this horse is older I think 18 maybe um it’s really
Coming to his own and you know she’s had some great success with this horr especially indoors and now Outdoors as well when the president’s come I’d say that was pretty successful that counts as successful that counts as successful but they are very consistent they’ve been they’ve been right up there
In the American Gold Cup before now they’ve had a lot of very good rounds that have just been in the price money in the price money like I say little bit maybe not on everyone’s radar but this could be an opportunity I agree and I I
Think yeah I think she has slithered a little bit underrated and under the radar um but one not to be missed you know this horse is amazing for first of all for an animal jumping at 18 but then this partnership you know she’s really come to trust this horse it has a little
Bit of a unique way of going um quite can be quite strong um drags are a little bit into some of these fences but she trusts him complete nope we’re good we’re good just didn’t make much we’re not good shoot uh just has that orange vertical down again
Something we haven’t really quite seen um just looks like he may be dragging her a little bit past some of the distances like he did for that flank and again that’s sometimes what happens um when you have to ride a very strong water it’s really fighting to get him
Back Jump’s a beautiful trouble combination though really sitting up strong beautiful six stride really had to get that done work to get that done now kind of has to contain him but also think about that time allowed Katie’s working really hard up there to keep that balance
A little push for that five that was too bad yeah just finished on a score of eight for k d and brego r and B2 down for 7801 so just leaving them out of the equation there as well three clears at the moment oh that was too bad you know I
Think after the water just kind of barreled her down into that vertical and she just couldn’t quite hold him off of that and that kind of translated back rolling back to that plank as well rer car winman and for the German Rider who’s had some wins this season as
Well went fantastic win the Friday class just a few weeks ago I andorf horse’s Calvados son and so takes us into I say the latter part of still got Deon Ryan come Shane sweeten Yan Gaza Harry Charles Keno Conor Kendra brinkop and Jordan coil from that point of view uh
Rer cwin coming again onto the Mexican tour of shows back into the tail end of last year through the fall in the latter part of 2023 it’s been good experience for him yeah and again oh having a little bit of trouble with that thought that he might get away with that with
That Liverpool oxer that we’re kind of seeing issues with now horse just looks a little bit sticky um you know again there too just stared right down at the white plank um you know again another beautiful design by Allan wants you to kind of stare down at that plank and
Just ignore the red color rails and that’s a really difficult tricky tricky fence to jump see what he’s going to do might well just going hop a fence and call it we’ll see and again you know Under The Lights rides completely different from during the daytime he’s had a lot of success
For the daytime um getting this horse into this big ring and then Under The Lights it’s just a completely different atmosphere um again you add the atmosphere I think we’re maybe going to just jump yeah we’re going to interrupt the H TR vertical over there call it a night same for another day
Yeah so rer unfortunately heads on out and joining us in the commentary box is Lily Keenan Lily good evening good evening be a better evening if I didn’t have dbol well I was going to throw that into your court for you to talk about yeah my horse jumped unbelievable tonight uh I
Kind of checked out on the way to the Rolex oxer I had watched a few too many people knock down the front Rail and I had it in my head so when I jumped the Liverpool before I didn’t land and move up like I needed to in that turn I just
Took two seconds too long through that turn but my horse jumped amazing you can’t be disappointed with no no no no my I mean I’m disappointed myself but my horse was unbelievable it’s the best he’s felt in a really long time Eddie blue now for Deon Ryan next up for the L
Shed jumpers again a horse that we’ve seen lots of over the years and Eddie well 15 years of age and for hor has been around a while including of course that world championship um Team gold medal there um Lily and and Eddie back in the frame Yeah Eddie blue has a
Illustrous career uh he’s a horse that everyone always wanted um and obviously what he did at the World Championship uh was integral for the US team I think it’s interesting now something that’s changed in the sport for so long people always said horses peaked when they were
11 12 years old and now when you look at the biggest grumpies in the world the horses that are often winning are teenagers and uh you obviously each horse is individual and it depends how much they’ve done uh when they’re young but we see more and more horses having
Longer careers and uh I think that’s because the experience that they gain and how technical the track s are and obviously the horsemanship and Care uh has and treatments and management I mean we’ve become so sophisticated with all of that so to be able to extend their
Careers uh it’s really fantastic to see these a little bit older horses able to really Peak uh kind of past what would have previously been considered their Prime and and Ali he did a lot early on so you almost feel as though Eddie would
Be older than the 15 that he is but I he’s performing well again here yeah and again we’ve seen him so you know for so long you sometimes forget that he’s 15 and you can just say just 15 I mean go for a long period of time you kep going
Into the into yeah exactly so you know again like Lily said it’s all about management and he’s very strategic and smart about where he um places his horse what classes he thinks he has the opportunity to win or to place in and that was that was too bad he just fell
Victim again to that b element is just kind of proving to be a little bit of a a boring dull Airy vertical that a lot of hces just kind of see through I think um yeah I think also when you walked that course the triple combination looked small multiple people said to me
Wow that looks so small what am I missing and B actually was quite tall and Airy just like you said and I often find jumping gymnastics when you change the heights when they’re not a consistent height horses can get a little bit confused with the depth perception I think that they’re kind of
Casual coming in a little bit on their head after jumping that long four stride and then just as they land a little bit downhill they don’t totally back up and sometimes see see that can cut down I mean that’s that’s the tricky part of a triple combination what what have you
I mean you rode it you rode it nicely what do you take away from what from having done it I mean Alan Wade is one of the best in the world uh every time he sets a gr Prix it’s one that I really hope I get to jump uh I think that he
Sets challenges that are doable if you ride correctly and if you have ride ability with your horse and some scope but he doesn’t set a course that only suits one horse so that definitely was true tonight um I think that it’s delicate like the gold
Plank I mean there it is on the absolute top hole you can’t really see the plank because that gold color Blends in completely with the sand and then to have a flat four after you have to have so much presence of mind to be patient about jumping the plank and moving up I
Would say that there’s difficult uh questions throughout rather than one Bogey and I think that’s what makes a great course designer it’s not like you have to survive one you know one issue uh one who’s survived well so far this season Shane seden of course super round
With James K Cruz in the Grand Prix just a few weeks ago um now with otus blue that’s 10 years of age by Jaguar van pel for the vquest team for the Vogal um and again this has just been quietly sitting in the sidelines and just coming through
Alley yeah an exciting yeah a little bit sticky Under The Lights Shane is really having to kind of ride me it looks like it’s smoothing out a little bit nicer now um really jumping amazing in the first half of the course and again Shane has so much depth to his strength that
He can really call upon any horse and also give those young ones an opportunity while arresting you know James or um some of his other top horses which is really nice and yeah like we’re getting to see some of these newer to us horses for him but I mean you know H we’
Seen a few times now looks really tidy Lily I mean the first time I saw this horse was I think in Tron last year and I walked over to Sheamus and said who’s basically Shane’s right hand and I was like what horses that yeah I mean it
Jumps fantastic and I think Shane does a great job because just as Ali said the depth of his string he can really build up younger horses and there you go there you go it is clear round number four Shane sweetum continues a very good run this season Otis Blue into that jump off
Alongside Carl cook Nal NASA uh Lucian loio and now Shane sedam just around five left to go in the first round um L that’s going to get interesting because KL goes early with Kinka that we know can be fast and if he he fires the fireworks in the right direction you’re
Going to have to chase him I mean that I think actually in some ways for Carl going early might even be an advantage because he is the type of Rider that really is individual and he can do things with that horse that other horses just physically cannot do uh so she’s
Very caddy and has a massive stride so it can be very uh deceiving for other people and I think if he lays it down it’s going to be hard to chase him uh one that’s looks very impressive this season is next to go and that’s cago
With Yano Gaza and last season to with the Mexican Rider from the Elma Lagro Family Team there for the horse by called it obaly went um superbly in championships before now jumped some lovely rounds in the PanAm games finished 11th there was so close the medals on that occasion but
Consistency’s been their watch where they were fourth in the masters Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows um top five in the Aran Grand Prix as well um this is a serious Contender Aly I agree and another one I think kind of flying a little bit um under the radar um he’s
Been super consistent you know maybe had an unlucky rail here or there in the jump off um but really knocking on the door and he’s just such a beautifully calm Rider um it keeps a lot of oh split the front legs a little bit into the
Went to the water and had a little bit of a difficulty getting the right ability back that line is deceiving to the water because a lot of people walked it and thought you do 10 my horse is quite a big stride so I knew I could do nine
Almost eight like I had to really be patient and I mean it’s hard you’re going away from the gate it’s on a bend and obviously water doesn’t have a rail or anything so your depth perception it can be a little bit difficult to judge exactly where you are and it looked like
He just didn’t go out wide enough so he didn’t have enough time to really kick down to the water okay just not as not his night this is an unbelievable combination as far as just all the things you listed that he’s done hard thing about Florida is we were in one
Place for a long period of time it’s a great way to build the horses but it’s also you have to know your moment when maybe you take a second and I think you heading go the next Grand PRI we see him and he will be jumping clear well and
That’s the thing they’ve got the Rolex gr PRI in a few weeks time they can take a breather before that you know don’t waste the horse two or three weeks to say okay we we’ll we’ll we’ll go get off the hamster wheel we’ll be heading home
Well actually in the the man who just arrived in town is Harry Charles with Romeo 88 now for the world number 13 for the British Rider and for the American audience’s new face to them for them Father Peter is not he’s been walking the courses here he’s been a winner on a
Regular basis here before now uh in Wellington he’s now not in the saddle he of course went on to be Olympic gold medalist but now it’s Harry who has the Limelight and again I mean he won the World Cup in Laconia he’s won a lot he
He a young age couple of seasons ago I watched him winning in London he won the Grand Prix and he won the World Cup I think we were there as well then at that point going darn it um but you know he he’s a he’s he’s a new new bit of blood
In here yeah Harry’s a fierce competitor I mean he’s the definition of a young hungry boy I mean he is just always you know going for the win and I think that’s very much how his father was and he’s obviously swiftly falling in his footsteps he is a unbelievable string of
Horses right now and he’s making the most of the moment unfortunately had the water there but like I said the water rides difficult and just like you said he hasn’t been here but this is his first Saturday night yeah and also like this combination is so strong I mean
This is a hard course to jump clear but I think Harry’s going to be someone that I hope for I hope I will be doing this as long and still competitive with him for a long time but he’s definitely going to be a winner for decades and and
For faults the moment still still in the direction of top eight for for you I mean you’re sitting in seventh place at the moment no don’t jinx me [Laughter] St leave it there just s it for at the moment for the water but it’s and just to come in here
Like you said this is his first night class like this is the I think probably the toughest track we’ve seen yet and he won the class on Friday and to have no polls down yeah he won the class on Friday he was top four in the we class
As well so he’s not had a bad week at the bank to start off there’s something to be said about coming in with Fresh Horses as well for sure I know that’s the dream of the Europeans to come in and sweep it all up as we get so tired
Week 9 10 but also the horses I mean they’re going to be more impressed then there there’s two sides to it we’re very comfortable in this Arena they’re not but also their horses haven’t seen it it looks like new material for them cuz he’s been jumping in Spain up to this
Point in Oliva which is a lovely Arena but very different very different to this okay Keo Conor uh three left to come Ken with Eve dwe for Nikki Walker who he also uh trains this the French bread mayare by classic B go again we pointed to his uh consistency a little
Bit earlier on part of that winning team last week as well he finished second in the Grand Prix onto week five with Maurice top five in the netjets Grand Prix um Ali again he’s just been putting the rounds in he’s just not had the number one spot yet but he’s got close
To it Y and consistency is key and actually I put a marker next to him as well I think this one could really do it as well he’s been having such a great circuit um really producing a lot of these horses um having fantastic results just a lot of clear round jumping for
You what have you watched out the horses that we’ve seen cuz I mean as you say there’s a range of them in there and of course the Watchman boys as well being very successful with it yeah and he’s had such amazing support um and also helping the entire family and just his
Horses you know they all just jump so flexible um you know he has a couple different types of horses um you know this one is a little bit quicker than some of his other ones maybe some of those um kind of a colder or those slower moving types um but he really can
Jump and ride anything but again you get you know we talk about you know occasionally we mentioned the slow types and but actually those are your Championship horses and I’m looking at Lily there as well you know when you’re doing a big Championship yeah exactly that’s where I was going yeah but I
Think also the sport is changing a little bit like you watched for example the horse that Kent jumped tonight graa that horse I think will jump championships and win I think that horse is unbelievable it’s so lightf footed you know this the heavier horses for a long time were the championship horses
And the way our sport has changed I think that we’re moving a little bit more towards the quicker types of course you can have the standouts like my gray that can do both but you know the sport the sport is evolving the material is so delicate and the jump offs are so quick
Finishes on 8 7691 Alli yeah just looks like he lost a little bit of the ride ability coming around the corner U maybe didn’t get 100% straight or Square off the ground when jumping the Rolex again that Rolex we’ve seen come down quite a bit uh and then just got a little bit
Too deep up under that vertical to have that down as well again not to done too many rounds they six rounds 150 plus so I mean there’s there’s not a lot in there so they it’s a good experience for them again another guy that has a lot of
Depth to his team as well so he’s able to kind of pull these horses out put them back and then gain exposure for the ones that are maybe a little bit older uh two to come in the first round and still holding with those four clears at the moment Kendra Clarissa brinkop and
Steex stables in time uh for the German Rider and again fresh face is headed over from Europe rides for the stex tables um Team cont there and the cont sisters have been out here competing for a while but again Lily you’d have seen her competing in Europe quite B yeah I
Mean Kendra is unbelievable riter I mean for she’s going to be one of the best in the world for sure um she is so cool-headed and effective but still has the Finesse of a top Lady Rider and she’s as good as any of the men uh this
Horse jumps very very well for her and she’s obviously had some success with it even just in this week that she’s been here uh and yeah I I think that she is always one that you you fear having to jump off against yeah she’s actually been one of
The Europeans that’s come in and kind of so far has been sweeping up um second in the in the wet we um from that point of view she’s so effective and she can sit so still I think she’s really a wonderful riter to watch she can learn so much and
She’s a very very nice girl which is a nice bonus she had a beautiful turn there really kind of kept it really neat um utilize the turn to keep the horse rocked back and jumping up over that really delicate gold plank gone just barely towed behind yeah that
Was a bit unlucky I I think that the trick to that triple combination is you need to ride a little bit forward in and deep and trust that the horse is going to clear a and use their back and land shallow I think sometimes when you come
Into it trying to hold them off of a and they land and they have to actually take a bigger step and then itend up way too deep at B was that was unlucky cuz she rode a fantastic round yeah finishing on four there goes into 10th place 75-5 for
Kendrick Lu brinkop and uh in time just leaves the one left to come and we’ll take a look at that but a little look back here exactly what you were saying Lily it’s just been one that’s been big influential mhm yeah I think that a lot of people probably didn’t expect that
That jump was going to come down so much cuz it’s not nearly as high as like the blank or a few of the other I mean it’s 150 but 165 in spread right right right yeah so I think that that I mean triple combinations you can have horses that
Jump them super well and you have some horses that they’re a little bit of a bogey and you have a mixture of people that are struggling with that tonight it’s set so deep on the rail in that corner it’s a little bit of a darker
Part of the ring and it’s kind of a let down you know the plank everyone’s so focused on you have to ride up in the four and then it’s this awkward Bend but that’s where Allen is just a genius because he’s not setting some massive jump that that’s intimidating un
Jumpable it’s just he’s so particular about where he places things in the ring Jordan Coyle is the last he was winner of the web challenge cup earlier on this week with the full cook farms for gold and now on to this 13-year-old that has
Gone so well for him so far not so long together they came as as a combination he finished top three in the Grand Prix uh a few weeks ago here as well yeah it’s been he’s had a fantastic circuit um o oh I think we just I’m just
Looking down yeah the flag’s up the flag’s up he’s so fun to watching the jum off so sorry we’re going to miss him so four in the jump off Lily you finish in sevens nice pretty good good check for that exactly if I’d been a little quicker I could have maybe been higher
But I’m very happy with that you take that one it’s the biggest check of this rout oh that’s actually a oh no I was going to say that’s kind of the first time we saw the front rail of a come down yeah yeah yeah I think that you know
This horse has won so much uh this circuit and has had some really unbelievable rounds so quick in the jump offs tonight maybe he just looks like he’s maybe twisting just a little bit um but knowing Jordan he’ll do some work at home maybe some gymnastics and have this
Horse back out here winning again he’s just deciding that it’s better to save this which this is how the sport goes they’re they’re animals and yeah yeah so finish on well doesn’t finish so just taking a a circle the last there for Jordan Coy and for gold from that point
Of view um so we finish up with four into the jump off and it will go with Carl cook Luciana loio Shane swam and N thank you L Kean well done tonight thank you Alli is going to remain with me and I’m going to hand down to Danny in just
A moment there’s the four in the clears Carl cook n NASA lucana losio and Shane Sweden are are four going for it in this Bainbridge Grand Prix and down there Danny is with another of the Riders who just missed out yeah thanks Stephen all right I’m here with Derek Kenny who won
Our grand prix a couple of weeks ago he did have one down tonight Dara tell us what happened out there yeah I was a little bit disappointed the horse jumped brilliant he jumped amazing tonight the same way he did a few weeks ago he feels in great form I just maybe didn’t put
Enough leg going out of that double and he backed up a little bit too much but I’m delighted with the horse a bit disappointed with myself yeah okay it was a great round but uh okay okay so it’s been a difficult course tonight where did you think were the most
Difficult Parts going into the night yeah when I walked the course I actually thought that last line was going to be difficult and it proved to be difficult for a few people that double was very short inside it was quite big quite tall going in time allow was a bit tight
Which caused a few problems and always with Allan it’s always delicate and you know it’s always light so it takes jumping yeah absolutely all right there’s only four in the jump off who do you think is actually going to win um I would love Shane to win because he’s
Irish that would be great but I think it’s going to be hard beat Carol cook tonight yeah okay so what is your plan then with Amsterdam for the rest of the season now you didn’t jump off tonight what are you going to do the rest of the
Season uh he’ll go in two weeks time to the League of Nations in Okala for that Nations cup there he’ll jump on the team for Ireland which is great for us in a buildup towards the Olympics and stuff like that so that’s what his plan will
Be next all right well thanks so much and now we’re heading into a little bit of a break and uh thanks to ES for our sport tonight but thanks to darra and uh it has been a very good class stay tuned everyone for the jump off coming up
Shortly thank you Mom yeah I fell okay there’s bandages in the cabinet I’m bleeding grab two Sheba what cats want Misty you know this person is your cat getting too cool give them Temptations Treats Banbridge is a fully integrated family of real estate companies who have developed and acquired more than 43,000 units representing $7.5 billion in transactions since Inception with over 650 Associates nationally Banbridge engages in virtually every step of the real estate process from Development and Construction acquisition and disposition to asset management and third-party

Brain well our thanks to do technologist as we welcome back to the closing stages of this Banbridge Grand Prix do technology is bringing us our streaming and wonderful technical support throughout major new sponsor here in Wellington this year and longtime supporter is the presenting sponsor of our grand prix tonight Banbridge
Companies as well with offices across the country and Ali wolf is Al along time we’ve had a low list of guests with us as well um Ali here tonight uh we’ve got one more to come into our jump off uh really interesting uh with jump off just four of them let’s just remind
Everyone you’ve got Carl cook Nan NASA Lucian and Shane sweeten them what do you think Ally uh it is not a giveaway no it’s going to be a very competitive jump off even just with the four horses and Riders you know as Riders you think okay there’s nothing left to lose you’re
Going to give it your all um we’re seeing Carl right now I mean you know Carl in this partnership with Kinka you know they’re in A League of Their Own they’ve proved themselves time and time again a unique combination but so so competitive you can never discount them
Then of course Nel you have such an amazing amazing partnership with this horse you know like he said previously in the Box here um he thinks he’s really coming into his own uh and I think he’s really knocking at the door uh then take Lucian losio finished so well in the
Grand Prix so far this season again super performer in Nations cup um she’s got a big shot yeah she does and this partnership with this horse you know um somebody has said it before I don’t think this horse would jump as well for anybody else you know I think it’s the
Heart of the horse in this partnership and of course Shane sweeten this time with Otis Blue he’s been pass winner of course here with Alejandro finished on the podium just a few weeks ago with James K Cruz this is this is unproven at this point yeah and but this horse has
So much potential um you know Shane is just a master of the sport anyway has so many chances with other horses that he really brings that to the table with these newer mounts so there’s the four Carl cooka go first for the USA n NASA for Egypt Luciana loio for Brazil and
Shane swam for Islands will be our lineup there for those going into the jump off we’re going to take a look at that jump off course as well brought to you by Fidel Investments um let’s Swing Down Under the Bridge and take a look at what Alan Wade his next stroke of Genius
Has got for this jump off Ali what are we looking at here we started with fence 10A this time yeah so 10A is now its new um first fence and then you’re going to cut across the middle to a new Bane Bridge vertical um that’s right behind
The Gazebo you’re going to hook a tight leftand turn back to that Rolex fence we’ll see if it proves as difficult off the left as it did off the right lead uh from there you’re going to actually see the same bending line whether they do
Seven whether they do six to 13 A and B and then we’re going to take a right hand turn to that purple oxer down in the far corner and then a very tight roll back perhaps um on that orange vertical that we saw coming after the water in that first round and then
They’re going to have to run like heck back to that a First Fence uh the original first fence but backwards book it down to the last so the were new fence 16 there is Fence One In Reverse but different dimensions this time around uh as part of that jump off so uh
Let’s take a look at what’s coming up and say just the four into the jump off as well and we have got uh four very good combinations coming up for us too and also uh Ally what do you what do you think where’s your where’s your direction going what’s your money going
On oh I think you’re going to choose Carl so I’m going to go with Niel I think you know Luciana I love I love her horse and she’s a very uh tough Contender obviously so as Shane um but niel’s just been knocking on the door
He’s been so close so many times and I just think he’s so hungry for this well Samuel danan also joining us up in the commentary box um for the British R over here for his first first stint uh jumped onto the Nations Cup last week first five star here under the light Sammy
What did you make of it um I must say actually I’m very impressed with the facility here uh jumping in this Stadium actually especially with an atmosphere like this on a Saturday night is amazing it took me by surprise and I think it also took my horse by surprise on the
Cup night but uh you learned from that and uh yeah you build on it for next year um what did you make of today obviously you’re another that we’ve had in the box that’s ridden round it Alan Wade you’ve ridden over his courses plenty of times yeah Allan is a master
Of of of this uh trade you know he’s really really good he knows exactly what he needs to build it’s a you know difficult enough track I thought like a really difficult five star Grand Prix but sure you have the best Riders on horses here as well so uh it’s
It was a given that is going to be a tough track and it shows with only four clear rounds um Ali Alli will give us a rundown of Carl cook um now NASA you’ve competed alongside on Egyptian teams before now um he’s got a good shot here
Um I’m rooting for him actually know is a great friend of mine we we rode together on teams and we had really good times uh he knows his horse inside out so and he’s a really fast horse NE is a really fast rider as he proved time and
Time again so uh I’m rooting for him tonight sorry guys Luci lcia goes after that for Brazil and Shane sedam after that for Ireland in the week that’s what international women’s week this week could be lucana yeah alli’s just giving me the fist pump next to next to me as
Well um Carl cook um talk to me about Carl cook Ally what’s he going to do here he’s going to he’s going to set them on fire isn’t he oh absolutely you know I don’t think he’s GNA leave much uh left for the for the other three
Coming behind him or at least that’s probably his plan um you know he again I think uh Lily was saying that um it’s probably best that he goes first or or the first in the rotation because you know this Horse and Rider combination is really not like others um and he’s going
To go in his own style with his own speed and so it’s probably best not even for him to watch anybody else and just set the pace I mean he he comes in there it’s and Sammy it’s more like a racehorse going out onto the track as we
See on the flat tracks in New Market with a formula Formula 1 driver on top yeah exactly exactly Yeah Carl cook uh winner of the coach cup the million dollar last season the American Gold Cup as well and a great chance here and and Ali as you say I mean they they’re fired
Up but I mean when they are going around the course they have every turbo going yeah exactly you know you let her loose and she’s all business and you know I think that’s what we’re going to see here you start off with big Galloping and then a tight roll back and then
Another gallop and you know everything is pretty well connected you have maybe a roll back or two um and we’re just going to have to count some strides I think he maybe did 11 across the middle we got we got six eyes on it discount
Mine put four eyes on it and this is really a tight roll back and kind of a blind turn opted for the seven just to be a little bit cautious we know that that double I think did the eight there he put a little curve just a little bit of
Slice into it yeah so he could kind of come back on the fence afterward not make such a tight turn over top of the fence and now along Gallop to the last lands in 32 over the hrand fence as we said youve got a run down to this Final Fence gets home in
3990 um Sammy what did you make of that pretty fast I thought okay he did 11 from 1 to two and then he was really neat to 12 he did the I think like the six would be very brave if somebody do six to the double I walked after the
Double it walks eight but he shaped it nicely like Ali said so then he made the turn really tight to Def to the vertical after that he may be a little bit too slow to the last for my liking so he gave a little bit of a way for the
People coming you know after him but you still have to leave the jumps up this the space I feel Ali there’s a little bit of space yeah he left the door open you know I thought there was maybe a 10 from 1 to two um he was a hair cautious
On the roll back he made a tight roll back but opted to kind of um make a conservative distance there opted for the seven which we probably might see um everybody doing the seven and then yeah I I agree I think the track was right on
For that bending a it allowed him to kind of start to come back on that ver vertical and then you just like Samy said uh not much of a Gallop to the last fence a touch conservative but again you just have to kind of set the pace yeah
Absolutely well uh going after that pace now 3990 to beat is n nassa in the evergate Stables Eagle V Vore and Olympic ride for him got all the chances here suddenly starts off certainly starts off with purpose a quicker 11 yeah and you know these two horses are a
Little bit similar they both have similar strides very quick across the ground he was a little bit quicker rolling back there steady’s up again for the seven needs to kind of go good run at this a nice Bend yep again not not drifting too far going
To take this who LS there in 31 actually FR he’s a fraction up 399 Z to beat for right now NASA gets home on 3957 just goes ahead there now Samy yeah actually was a very good round he did nine after the double which I think was a little bit slow but his
Horse also doesn’t have the biggest stride in the world so he had to do that to make the turn nicer to number seven so yeah it shows the differences what point3 so it’s really nothing uh I think I think the winning time will be in the
38s but uh we’ll see let’s have a look back here I mean he seemed to be fairly well paced down to the Rolex he was really quick everywhere even one two he did the same amount of strides as Carl but he’s a quicker quicker horse to do
The 11 strides uh and these little things matter you know like if you have a small stride and you’re running towards the jump and you do the same amount of strides as a horse with a bigger stride you’re saving time on every on every stride you’re doing which
Obviously sometimes it plays in your favor yeah Luciano of Brazil lady Louise now this would be the first five star Ground Prix if she can pull this one off um Samy you’ve done that and Spruce Meadow yeah that was a great wi wasn’t it good start we’ve seen go so well we
Saw them top three of The Net Jets Grand Prix this season that was really tight tight very tight and then sacrifice the seven a little bit to do the eight we’ll see if that pays off still up on the pace looking good still the eight needs to be landing here
At about 31 32 to stand a chance that’s where Carl and Nel were she’s Landing in 31 she’s got a chance 3957 she’s got to keep running to the last she just gets a little bit wider there but still looking good she’s very quick 3915 luio and Lady Louise might well
Reain this week who wow that was that was fun to watch was it not International women’s day the other day it was Friday Friday’s carried on it’s weekend it was it’s weekends it’s weekends what can we say I mean that was amazing it goes back to the
Partnersh ship that they have and the trust that they have in one another and she opted you know she got such a tight roll back on that Rolex fence that she decided just to be a little bit cautious and bending the eigh strides give the horse a little bit of time to get
Underneath herself for that one stride and I think that actually paid off to kind of relax her one one extra step so she can kind of Hit the burners again and for her we’ve just seen her throughout the season just so close just so close just so close she’s still close
She’s still in the number one spot right now but Shane sweetum stands in the way what she could do his second so yeah that was an amazing turn to number 12 I must say the roll back to the green oxer there was very brave so that’ss off
Absolutely so and another again that’s a little bit narrowed at 140 so there’s a chance to as you say take that one a little bit on on a on a run uh Shane Sweden Otis Blue as we said Ali unproven really as a partnership yet we’ll see
But they looked very impressive as as Lily Keenan was very keen on this horse earlier on yeah exactly and I think he just did 10 strides I was thinking he was probably going to leave out down that first line I mean that’s really only where he can get them a little bit
Slower than her on the roll back still tight oh kind of that I think that was an accident yeah wow that is incredible but again you know this partnership still a little bit newer especially to this level this is this is the highest of high levels and that’s the thing we
We’re a little bit open on where this this pair might be because they just hav had as you say that the time in the ring lightness to really sort of say okay go and so much quality in this hor too really impressive you can see Shane a little bit frustrated there 4.48 the
Time in the end uh goes into fourth of our group so it’s a win for luti loio and Lady Louise second place to nigor third to K cook and Kinka fourth to Shane sweeten um Samy some good performances there unbelievable actually I’m very actually happy for Luana cuz I
Think she would be the underdog if you don’t mind me saying that in a Grand Pre like this and to come in and pull it off that’s off to her and uh and I think that’s what’s amazing about our sport some days you know like my whole body is
Shivering now it’s just I didn’t win it but just somebody that maybe not everybody knows um wins 127,000 today well your mate gets 77,000 that’s right second place maybe he’ll take you to dinner yeah he’s paying caryle cook finishes in third place Shane s in fourth a bit further down just on the
Time fi there ly Keenan uh still gets a check like we said to her in the Box a little bit earlier on just over 11,000 and they’re down to our top 10 and dar Kenny and Harry Charles that’s what it looks like it’s a win for
Luciana loio of Brazil we’re going to be back in just a few moments time to take it all through I think I found them really making your dog your ring bearer is one way to show your love car part it’s just a car part look but delicious Caesar canine Cuisine is a better
Way with netjet travel will always be personal we do everything it takes to make every flight exceptional every single detail of your experience is personalized just for you as our standard is not just to meet our definition of perfection it’s to exceed Yours from playful puppy to adventurous adult help keep them healthy i’ms for life it goes like this go like This [Applause] Ang All right welcome back everyone I’m here with our winner congratulations what an exciting round how does it feel unbelievable it’s unbelievable for me as an amateur win this course this five stars you know with such a extraordinary jumpers like mlan Lut Kent ferton in many many um ex excellent Riders and for
Me it’s very special to jump here in Wellington such a special place everything is perfect the arena the organization it’s fantastic yeah what do you think made the difference tonight I think the turn to the number three was very fast and then the last turn also to the
Vertical um orange vertical I think and the gallop to the last one oh well thank you so much we don’t want to keep you from the award ceremony go ahead go get your prize than you thank you so much thanks all right we’re back to you in
The studio thank you Danny yes we’re heading off to Awards and so Lucian loio uh superb for win for her um Ali tender age of 49 to get her first five-star Grand Prix win it can keep coming what whatever whatever age exactly yeah you always you know she looks so young on a
Horse and she just she rides so beautifully I think that was such a well-deserved win just like you said she was knocking at the door but also proves you know our sport is in it for the long haul longevity you know doesn’t matter the age and that’s what’s so amazing you
Know men against women 18year olds against 70 year olds so proving it today we had 70y olds in the na come exactly let’s take a look at the winning ran uh let’s take another spin here and see what it looked like for Luciana really nice start yeah exactly she really came
At an angle you know she knows her horse doesn’t have the biggest stride in the world but she utilized the 11 so 11 strides so she could kind of get a slight angle back I think this is kind of where she got it really trusted the
Horse to get up and over even though it’s a skinny Ox there it’s still very tall took her time here you know that was the one place where she decided to pull on the RS a little bit give the horse a little bit of a break really
Came out a curve there to hit the angle kind of was right within the tracks of Carl rolling back got a good slice just like Nel and then really took on a Gallop I thought she was maybe a touch wide here I thought leave it but um you know maybe
That was her plan she wanted to really line it up make sure the horse was Square seeing it jumping off all four feet absolutely so there’s the final lineup now Naser in second Kyle Cook in third Shane Sedum in for and and you have to say Shane with of course uh his
Fantastic ride there Otis Blue you know just getting the mileage there but looking good yeah I think we’re definitely going to see that one in the future you know now he has like three amazing five star horses maybe probably more than that that we haven’t even seen
Yet um but that horse has so much quality um jumping so easy over this class and I think he has a really right future absolutely so n NASA finishing second Kyle Cook in third two very good combinations there Kyle Tim just on the timeold for a top five there Alise soen
Also on the time folds for sixth ly Keenan finishing in seventh also with a few ticks of the clock there Ashley Bond I think fastest of the four falters there Natalie Dean into the money too Kendrick Luccia Brink up Derk Kenny and Harry Charles for our top 12 here
Tonight as part and they’re making their way up now and heading up that that is it’s no understating that’s a massive win for her a massive win you know you get goosebumps just even like listening to her interview or just watching um her so happy especially with her horse you
Know this partnership it just proves what a partnership this is you know to come in and there’s such a demanding track that was asked of them so many questions and that horse just I mean knows her and she knows it’s her so well and they just fight for each other um
And that’s what is so exciting about to see in this sport the partnership and the presentation of theh farms Grooms award as well uh going to the winning groom congratulations as that is currently donated by Double H Farm as well thanks to them and our Grooms receiving $500
With the winning horse each week as well as a little added bonus so I think they’re going to head off and meet the crowds as well congratulations to Luciana yeah and that Grooms award cannot go understated too you know they are the backbone of our industry and of
The Riders and of the horses especially the horses have a special partnership with them that really um is a true Testament to this the winds and also they’re coming over there for the presentation of the Herman Kappy kapler Perpetual Memorial trophy is a tradition here as well established for Cappy with
Fondness of the farers back in 1995 uh here at the winter equestrian festival always awarded to the winner of the week n Grand Prix that’s the of course baybridge Grand Prix this week and also receiving a few uh munchie’s courtesy of mainstream as well mainstream streamlined Horse
Transport look at that huge following of the farers and that’s amazing to watch too you know the crowd that you get even just for waiting till the end to get a photo taken yeah um you know that’s just that’s incredible and that’s just the top level sport here okay and all set
For their lap of Honor off they go Luana loo to enjoy this one congratulations throws out the ribbons to the crowd as well uh lovely to see somebody they’re watching as well at tail end and I think she’s few little tears in there and so well done to Luciana who
Will finish our winner of this baybridge Grand Prix big night for her fend off some of the biggest as well on good form this was not a giveaway at all and just to see her how happy she is like that that that’s what this is all about
