Trade deadline winners and losers okay so listen they could you could have a loser team but you could have won this trade deadline there’s there so many great things that we can and we’ll get to those in a second but first if you need a little sleep tonight and we all

Do because it is the end of the day it’s been a long one but it’s been an exciting one sleep breakthrough is the product for you it’s all natural guys it’s the thing that gets you you to the Melatonin which gets you into the deep REM sleep it makes you you know that

That feeling when you wake up on a Saturday morning in the summer and you have no chores to do yeah and you’re just like I’m gonna Frolic today oh man that’s the feeling man I hope fields nearby are ready to catch this Frolic it’s all natural so you don’t get

That dependency and and the thing about it is because it’s a natural formula you don’t get the Sleep hangover as well so no dependency No Sleep hangover I always thought I’m like if I’m taking a sleep a and I and I feel groggy in the morning what was the point that’s the whole

Thing you feel groggy if you don’t sleep I do sleep and I still feel groggy come on now maturity is knowing the difference between tired and sleepy there it is Sleepy is fine tired is no good so check out byy optimizers dcom for Sleep breakthrough and use the promo code dangle spy optimizers

Docomo promo code dangle 10% off your first order now um guys who wants to start we’ll start with winners mhm Okay who wants to go first class for a winner of this year’s trade deadline and I’m almost positive I know what everybody’s team is going to be so only if you pick

A team no one else can pick it can all have the same yeah yeah I like that I like that I’m not taking any of your teams I’m my team’s the best my team won the most interesting won the hardest it won the hardest okay so Adam Diamond one

Here’s how I think it’s going to go you’re gonna say the actual biggest winner that we’re all talking about no I’m G to make it difficult Jesse’s GNA do a meme Okay well who should start do you want me to start I would like you to start Adam just say Vegas okay Thomas hurtle Anthony mantha uh Noah hanen and it gets even better if Noah hanen signs an extension because you didn’t you didn’t have to go to Calgary and say hey can I

Talk to his agent and then have C Calgary you know bend you over a barrel right you are absolutely in the best position ever because Noah hanifen could come in he’s going to fit in right fit in great and you’re going to be able to sign him a new extension because it’s

Vegas the taxes are crazy do you know that it’s speculated that Tomas hurdle just saved himself $6 million over the next six years just in taxes alone I moving state to state Assuming he’s enjoying that information now that’s a bit of a fallacy because you’re assuming that that rich people don’t have access

To things that we poor don’t or do have access to yeah and they do yeah I know he plays for the Czech team but did you know he’s also from the Cayman Islands there you go yeah so here’s here’s what it is I think that Vegas which have severely they’ve

Severely underperformed Vegas right now is sitting underneath Nashville they had to do something they had to be bold we all know this team has a Stanley Cup pedigree they’re defending the Stanley Cup this year it’s not underperformed as much as everyone’s hurt uh I don’t think people are prepared for the fact that

Vegas are underneath Nashville right now in the wild cuz that’s where they stand as of this well so this is the thing made and so I think that Vegas needed to be bold and here’s the thing they were bold so many teams at this deadline needed to be bold

And they did the half measure Vegas went full boore they’re my winner today Steve you go ahead uh this team added uh a lot um for not a lot uh the Carolina Hurricanes real sneaky real sneaky I didn’t think they needed to add on the decor um we were talking about them

Moving off of guys Brett peshy being one of them uh they didn’t have to take away from that strength goal tending would it have been nice to add one yeah that would have been nice they did the other day you catch that was Frederick Anderson he’s back he looks all right up

Front where they could use a little bit of depth they move off of Michael bunting who’s a fine player I think he’s going to do fine in Pittsburgh it wasn’t a match wasn’t a match in Carolina wasn’t going to work they move off him they trade I think it’s three prospects

Was it three prospects and not even a hard first for Jake gensel that is absolutely monstrous when Jake gensel went to the playoffs the last time how many goals did he get there were seven games seven games he had eight goals 10 points I believe and what could the

Carolina Hurricanes not do last year in the playoffs in the in the Eastern Conference Finals good they could not score and everyone threw up their arms and went Bob well it’s Bob um I don’t even know if Bob is uh GNA be the answer

Here uh and to to get evi ketov at 3.9 I think is a perfect flyer 3.9 this year flyer as in Risk not Philadelphia he he’s a perfect risk at that number and they’re getting him for that number next year oh that’s beautiful oh good deal

Good deal and you in my opinion you did you did pretty well in those deals both of those deals were against uh teams in your own Division I am patiently waiting for Jesse Blake’s answer now I’m not because oh my gosh because I want to know he’s you know Jesse’s sneaky yeah

Bear you guys you guys gave us some nice answers that’s all fun you know but this team just because they play in in Canada they they go a little under the radar they’re in the central of Canada and when I look towards the playoffs I say defense wins championships and this team

Leads the league in goals against nobody has has has allowed less goals than this team and that’s the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Jets got better and nobody is giving them the credit they they are due for being a dynamic team that can now run out four unbelievable lines that

Also has the best goenda in Tyler T Foley and the Shawn Monahan deal what they gave up was a first and a third and that third round pick only has to be sent to the Montreal Canadians if the Winnipeg Jets end up winning the Stanley Cup and they might

End up sending that third round pick anyways so that first and that third is definitely worth it because this stretch that they had Monahan has solidified that that uh forward group and now you get even better with Tyler to FY there and I think they’ve sneakily had the

Best um trade deadline this year Colin Miller also deadline like 3 P.M deal okay came right under the wire Colin Miller that’s nothing to sneeze at either I think the Winnipeg Jets are going to be a problem in the playoffs because when it gets tough is in the

Playoffs and goals are hard to come by and nobody is better at stopping goals than the Jets this season and T’s a good playoff performer Jess the thing about the trade deadline it’s not just I mean in in Vegas’s case it’s literally like Power Rangers let’s strap as much Rocket

Fuel to our our ship as possible but sometimes the best winners at the trade deadline are those who augment their team with a couple of moves that maybe aren’t the biggest and splashiest although Tuli is pretty splashy and so was mon B didn’t Splash you but this is

This is big and and by the way I I I do kind of Wonder guys with the way the prices went Shawn Monahan wouldn’t have been worth of first today no I think Ken Hughes was smart to take that when he got it yeah but that’s the price you pay

For doing it early and getting them on the team I feel like it was appropriate and I’m glad that Winnipeg did it and somebody else didn’t scoop in there and pay that price because I feel like other teams would have been willing to pay that and they they ponied up and they

Did it and credit to Chevy for having a great fit for the lineup he gets accustomed to your lineup faster uh it helps you stay in your spot in the standings no I don’t hate and like everybody’s so high on Dallas right now because they they make their deal uh

They get defenseman they’re looking for in tanv but the Winnipeg Jets have games in hand if they win their games in hand right now they will be leading the Central Division like like they were leading the entire league for quite a while they fall back a bit but they’re

Still right there and they could end up first in the central by the end of the season and go into the playoffs with nice home home ICE Advantage so who are the biggest losers now this is difficult because it means that the fan base that you pick if this team team does well

You’re going to have to live with that you’re going to have to eat that they’re going to be tweeting this clip at you boys all right it’s me too now who wants to go go first you have a team that you’re like definitively that’s a l at the trade

Deadline look at that face Steve is giving uh I don’t wna I don’t want to call them a loser um because I don’t think they lost but I’m underwhelmed with what the Leafs did uh oh dude honestly they paid like I do think leushin makes them better I

Think he’s the early returns there have been good Edmonson helps um uh Conor deer it’s difficult to have an opinion on him uh I just learned his name’s not Walker that’s the other guy so so uh but boy did they give up a lot

Of picks for a team that was like oh we don’t want to give up that first yeah you’ll just give up all the other ones um it always Trad it down yeah you know I mean my answer I’ve already ranted about um uh because the Leafs at very

Least attempted to get better at hockey and the Arizona Coyotes made no such attempt um what they did what they got for Zucker and stetcher and uh Dumba doesn’t help them now it doesn’t help them later it doesn’t it helps their owner not have to pay the bills that’s

Where that’s where we’re going so it did help them cash in cash out it helps them I mean rather him do this than like stiff city council or whatever but like it’s it’s uh like what a disgrace wow okay you’re just gonna leave it there je Jesse do you want to

Go next or should I sure I’ll go next um I should go last because I want to hand out a Lifetime Achievement Award oh cuz this Sunday is the Oscars right and we all know how Leonardo DiCaprio got his Oscars I haven’t given my loser pick yet

By the way yeah but I said I should go last but I’m going next all right allowed you said you said I want to go next I said yeah I’ll go next and I said I should go last because I want to give up my Lifetime Achievement Award I’m my to Adam just

Like how Leo got his Oscar for the Revenant and we know like hey he didn’t really deserve it but eventually it came to that point where you just need to give him that Oscar this team this trade deadline they didn’t do much but is the culmination of how they got to this

Point is why they deserve this over everybody and that’s the Ottawa Senators and Vladimir teras go here is your Lifetime Achievement Award for being the Biggest Loser this entire season good pick you bought this off season in Vladimir teras enko he was not supposed to be a rental you screwed up this whole

Season Pier Dorian to this point where we reached to the trade deadline you sold them for a terrible return and this is just how this entire season for the Senators has gone everything has been a mess from Pinto on from the sale from them not telling them that they screwed

Up the donon off deal losing a first round pick the goal tending being the worst in the world you make one deal on trade deadline day and that’s to sell your big offseason acquisition where you were supposed to make the playoffs this year Lifetime Achievement Award you are

King losers this year Ottawa Senators now good answer that’s a good answer um teras senko did say the only team I was willing to wave my no move clause for was Florida so so if you’re underwhelmed by the returns you can blame Pier Dorian for signing that contract they the

[ __ ] deal you need lucky they got what they got they are Lu Dorian [ __ ] this franchise for years he did and it’s a shame it’s a shame because they have good young pieces they’re a fun fan they have fun fan base and it sucks damn damn okay okay so here’s what

I’m going to do one that’s unpopular okay um I’m under Vegas I’m I I want to give a a a notable uh we still see you to a couple of the teams okay but I’m not gonna I’m not gonna I’m not going to trash them because one of these teams is

Really really good okay gonna give one you didn’t do anything Detroit Red Wings this team is you are you are in the playoffs I didn’t do anything I like that group they traded clim C okay well damn there it is um I’m going to give

Another one to and this is again not I don’t hate their deadline I just don’t love it considering how they’ve done um the Vancouver Canucks and the reason I say that is because they did make the move they paid a lot for ly Holm and then tried to retrade him and then found

The prices were Bargain Basement low oh my God you overpaid for every because lolm that again that price from Monahan you wouldn’t have got that today that price for lolm you wouldn’t have got that today we definitely thought there was more there 100% 100% and I think

Vancouver fans are let down because I think they were they were carrot carrot and stick with gensel right mhm I think the team that really I was really hoping for a big swing from was the Edmonton Oilers yep the Edmonton Oilers are a really really really spectacular hockey

Team but so are the Colorado Avalanche and what did they do well I was gonna say I was gonna ask for some time at the end of the video like honorable mention winner the ABS AB I really like what they did they moved on from Bowen Byrum

Did you see his his his first shift on the power play like does anybody play that clip that went viral on Twitter of him trying to get people to play the power play Buffalo might be a bigger mess than we know they got out from under Ryan Johansson’s contract Ryan

Johansson is now with Lehigh Valley which is crazy to think absolutely in Philadelphia uh but Lehigh Valley is their AHL affiliate um so you got that you got Dallas they made their move with tff and they they got more Dallas right they got more Dallas or you’re putting

Them as a honorable mention no no I’m talking about I’m comparing Edmonton to these to the teams in that they got I got it I was like dude Dallas is really good that’s what I’m saying so is so are the Avs the AVS made a move Shawn

Walker’s a big move moving the other guys you know all that sort of thing then you got Dallas making their move early you got Vegas doing their thing you got Vancouver who did make a move and ly Holm even though he hasn’t worked out that just yet maybe it’s a couple of

Games more and then he goes okay I figured it out what did Edmonton do to make sure that Conor McDavid wins a Stanley Cup in the next two years because that is what needs to happen we are now Tick Tock two years and it’s not just because of

Connor it’s because of Leon dry cidal that contracts up first it’s up at the end of next year and he is an unrestricted free agent he is able to sign an extension but guys the C you will never have a better shot you’re getting over goals from zackman I I

Guess agreed Agreed 100% but you are you’re never if you get another 50 goal season out of Zack kman then amazing that’s I’m saying like there’s no guarantee this happens again this is the time yeah this is the time now there was some sort of rumor out there that Lena

Soul Mark was almost moved and then Nicks the trade because of quote unquote geography if that was Edmonton I respect them for trying but here’s the thing about the Stanley Cup is that nobody cares how many times you tried 32 teams try every year you’re on everyone’s list

You play in Canada you’re on everyone’s list well here’s here’s the other one that’s interesting okay I know Calgary probably doesn’t want to help their their three three hour up the road rival but they’ve made trades before is that how far it is it’s three three hours I

Thought they were like an hour no I know nothing about it is the most boring stretch of road you’ve ever been on in your entire life the only notable thing that I ever saw on a drive between Calgary and Edmonton is two horses oh banging right at the side of

The road oh it was crazy it was wild you ever middle the winter you ever driven to ser uh I have never driven to sardan that’s why I know uh your you know the pain it’s bad so Edmonton Edmonton went after Jake markstrom a couple of years ago if they

Knew Jake markstrom was on the market whatever New Jersey was willing to go to on that one that’s the guy that’s the guy if you can’t get lenus if you don’t if you can’t get him to wave his no trade clause what about Jake markstrom what about these other things and I

Don’t know that goal tending necessarily is even their Achilles heel I don’t love what they have steuart Skinner’s been really good but I just I feel like give me something give me more on that defense the Edmonton defense when you compare it to Colorado who got better

When you compare it to Dallas when you compare it to Vegas it’s not in the same league even have a look at what Quinn Hughes and Philip ronic are oh I know are they are both of them are the best defenseman on the Oilers I think the

Oilers became more of what they are like they got they got bigger and meaner and which is great more offensively gifted um boy that Decor is lacking obvious weakness EOL Bard nurse de har kulak Cy and they’re playing they’re roller apparently they’re rolling out they’ve been rolling kolac C

Is it kolac Cc or CC um K is the pairings on daily face off yeah and it’s not been and D AR’s played with CC as well like that stetcher is going to help I just feel like the Edmonton Oilers I I wanted more I wanted a bigger swing

Because like the Leafs time is now time is now so we’ll see what happens uh but those are our winners and losers we want to know what’s yours in the uh the compliment section below uh and I’m sure that we’ve bothered more than a few fan

Bases with this video but hey that’s the trade deadline enjoy your hockey all we’re get to talk about for the next six weeks is hockey and playoffs and I for one I’m here for it Steve what do you think about the Arizona Coyotes and where they play hockey

Um it’s good they’re making more money now than they did a couple years ago the problem no they’re losing less

  1. Biggest loser in my opinion, is the leafs. We gave up a ton of draft picks for a ton of nothing. While our direct competitors added better players for LESS. Time to hope for a Matthews masterclass and Woll turning into Price over the next 20 games and we might make it out of the first round. Pain. I dont think the coyotes count, they have to give players to other teams for free so they cant keep paying their rent. Oh wait….the Leafs do that.

  2. Sabres did what I kind of expected, I was hoping that Casey was sticking around but I get it..I figured that Okie was being traded, even he knew this was it. A little surprised that Big Z is still there, thought he’d be trade fodder too but apparently the Pegulas love him😑

  3. Steve,& Adam-your 2 were appropriate & clearly the consensus biggest winners in each conference. But Jessie obviously just wanted to pick somebody from Canada.Jets had a good deadline but my Avs improved the most in the central & it's not really that close-at least on paper.Of course nobody knows for sure today. All of this is just "on paper,& in theory" for now.Avs wouldve won the central deadline-merely by fixing their gaping 2c hole-but did much more than that.

But at least WPG was an actual winner-despite getting Tanev-which was a good move-Dallas was an overall loser.Cuz they lost significant ground at the deadline to Colorado,WPG,& Nashville in the division alone. And if ya factor in the Pacific-Dallas lost ground to every west playoff contender except probably LA. And I'm counting guys like Monahan,Lindholm,& Parise as deadline acquisitions-even though they happened a few wks ago.

Denver already was among the most likely-but now has the best chance of any city to host both the NBA & NHL Finals this June at Ball arena where I work. Only Boston is even in the argument. Obviously it'd take alot to go right to get both teams there for any city-like Miami did last year in a totally unlikely way-with both teams 8 seeds I believe. Of course that was same city-but not same building.

Working the NBA Finals last yr was an amazing experience,& insanely busy.(I missed the 2022 Cup Finals-as I started bout 6 weeks after) I can't even imagine what both simultaneously would look like-but it'd be unbelievable to find out. After what the Avs organization just did-it's a significantly better chance of happening today than just 2 days ago.Avs always had a decent shot with as much top end talent as anybody.(3 of the top 10-15 players on earth & 2 more fringe All stars-not counting Giorgiev who did make ASG) but also had 1 gaping hole,& 2 less significant weaknesses-they seem to have fixed. (failing to get a veteran #2 or even #3 goalie is the only minor issue I have)But the Nuggets were much more likely to get back. That might not be the case now.Especially since the NBA West is even deeper than the NHL West.

  4. Nashville is such a WTH team, not sure what they are thinking giving away Trenin and then bringing in scrubs in Beauvillier and Zucker when Yakov would be a strong contributor for playoff style hockey

  5. The Kings were the big time losers in not getting rid of our $8.5M boat anchor…and losing our GM's reputation around the league…

  6. I am so disappointed to see this coverage being sponsored by a company that provides what I consider to be a scam of “wellness products” – ignoring that fact that I believe their claims about the ingredients are totally BS, these products do not appear to be licensed in Canada. As a Canadian pharmacist-to-be I would not trust any of these products to actually contain the ingredients they list because there is essentially no regulations controlling them – does anyone remember that American goalie that had a urine screen positive for performance-enhancing drugs? That was because he was taking a similar unregulated health product that contained who knows what!!! Please SDPN comment section so not waste your money on this stuff!!

  7. vote for underwhelming: Washington Capitals. Could have sold off a goalie to give room for bringing up prospects who are ready, could have gotten good value for a netminder this season. I don't think the goalie market will be as good in the coming years when they will be forced to sell/move on/dump/let walk.

  8. "All natural" in no way, shape, or form guarantees you don't get "that dependency." Y'all need to talk with marketing to not be forced to mislead like that. Love the analysis though! GO CANES!

  9. I think Jesse hit it on the head with his description of Ottawa being the biggest loser. Biggest loser of this season overall because it has been a joke considering the team was supposed to be competing for a playoff spot. I dunno how fans are still okay with this team. It's really a just hope for best, expect the worse for next year.

Also Islanders sucked this deadline for a team that is just a few points out of a playoff spot. Did absolutely nothing to try and help themselves.

    Go Jets Go!

  10. Calgary biggest loser they should have traded Maekstrom, Kadrah, and a couple other high-priced players who are not meeting expectations.

  11. Edmonton needed a r defenseman, but strict from head office and drama of going with. Time isn't now for them. Whatever is going with the front office is trying to brew something for the off-season.

  12. Winner: Colorado, as an avs fan I was thrilled we finally went out and got our 2C, traded of Ryan Johansen's contract. Updgraded forward depth with Trenin and Duhaime, and took some of the pressure off of Josh Manson on that right side defense with Sean Walker.
Loser: SJ Sharks, the fact that San Jose is using one of their retention slots for the next 6 years is sad. Vegas took their best player and two thirds. Sure the Sharks got two firsts (Edstrom and an actual first) but they now have one less retention slot for 6 MORE YEARS. They got absolutely stuffed in a locker on this deal.

  13. It also kinda made sense in another way for Jets to move early on Monohan. As they have the Habs first this year, making them even worse earlier.

  14. They are doing it the Chevy way! By keeping all of their top prospects 😁. Although for the right player that has a good term for a few years, I would do a trade. Mcgroarty is off such a list and so are salomonsson and Barlow. I might have forgotten someone but they sound like they are the most nhl ready. Especially for the current Jets style.

  15. Excuse me, the Sens have a fun fan base? No they do not. Their fan base often doesn’t even bother to fill its arena even when they are good. They constantly rely on nearby team’s fan bases to fill their arena when they visit.

  16. Hey jesse. Pierre Dorion isint the gm anymore jesus christ do U ever do research

  17. Calling the Calgary to Edmonton trip the most boring drive ever is a little unfair. The drive is actually gorgeous in the summer, smooth with canola fields leading into the distant mountains as you get move farther south. It can be pretty in its simplicity, but Alberta makes up for it with the mountain drives. I also don't know how I am feeling about this assessment on the Oilers, with Henrique they are one of the deepest teams up the middle and have a fair amount of flexibility in the forward group, Carrick adds some grit and size to the bottom 6, assessing two real areas of need. They also didn't even lose any roster players, which is a huge win, that seemed almost like a certainty. A large add at D wasn't super realistic, I am not sure what Oilers fans were expecting given how up against the cap they are. Ceci is not a bad defenseman at his cap hit, I question where a proper substantial upgrade there even comes from, that narrative of a hole at top 4 right D has taken off so much to the point where it has been exaggerated.

  18. Vgk only have a chance to get 10-14 points for the remaining schedule.

The kraken and the flames are probably going to get between 20-26 points in the remaining games.

VGK went for broke and is going to miss the playoffs 😂😂😂 good I hope that team rots in hell for the next 30 years.

  19. Oilers – to get Ullmark from Bs… would have taken Nugent Hopkins straight up as a minimum.. it was crazy for Bruins to even consider a trade for Ullmark unless it was ridiculously in their favour. Sweeney could have sat back and did nothing the whole deadline time and been considered a winner.

  20. Imagine picking the Jets lol. Miller sucks. The Jets aren’t even top 5 of teams that win the deadline.

  21. The (current) top 3 Atlantic teams each added prior STL 2019 Cup winner to their roster before the trade deadline.
