Ter how um how good’s at 68 today considering the conditions out there yeah it was good uh that putt at the last uh made that bogy on 16 feel a little better that was not the highlight of the day um yeah I played really good

I I got off to a good start bird and one um birdie and four I mean I feel like those first four holes with the wind direction today you got to get those and then kind of Bear Down on8 n CU those are probably two of the toughest holes

In the golf course um yeah I’ve I’ve been putting really well this week been uh getting my ball striking I I feel like a couple loose shots today but overall I hit the ball really well and gave myself a lot of chances and that’s all you can do around uh a good tough

Saturday at Bay Hill what do you attribute to your success at this course I mean obviously last year and what do you attribute to that success too I really enjoy how tough this place plays um not too to far off how a US Open plays it feels like a major type golf

Course they got the rough up they got the greens firming fast I mean it’s you got to play some chests out here and it’s not about overpowering and you can hit driver all you want but if you’re playing out of the rough you’re not going to hit it very close to the hole

Um I don’t know just something about it fits my eye and and I I just enjoy playing really tough setups of plays into my hands on got to chip it got to put it good inside six feet and um I’ve just enjoyed these tests the the mental

Challenge of it or more the physical challenge of it that they kind of that you like more about these type of setups yeah a little of both what I’m trying to get better at is playing easy courses where I feel like I got to make a lot of

Birdies and and you come out here you don’t feel like you’re getting behind or getting left behind if you’re even through six or seven holes and I kind of like that I kind of like playing chess and and picking your spots to go up flags and be aggressive and

Um you’re not going to have many guys hitting more than 14 or 15 greens out here and it becomes a little bit of a short game and making those tough four five six Footers and I feel like that’s what I’m good at you had a fair amount

Of birdies out there on a tough day what was the highlight yeah I just got off to a really good start uh ball striking wise um I think I was three under through six um and could have been a little more um had some had some more

Chances but just really Struck it well hit my lines um got the wind Direction correct and and played the correct shot um but yeah bar down on eight eight n made a great par on nine I drove it barely in the right rough and got up and down and

That’s what you got to do you got to miss in the correct spots and and you got to get the ball up and down what did you hit in 18 uh that was a 56 degree I hit Three Wood off the te and I think I

Had 129 hole and uh maybe a little Juiced up and that winds pumping and it flew further than I I wanted it to but um good spot for that 38 footer to go go in nice and have you always embraced the tougher tests or is it something you

Kind of grew into yeah I have ever since I was a kid I I really enjoyed the big tournaments and and when it gets really hard and firm and fast um this reminds me of kind of the place I grew up in south Georgia I mean when

The greens get firm and and fast good Bermuda greens and um I feel right at home um but yeah I don’t I don’t know what it is I’ve had success in a good many of the US opens um I just enjoy those tests there’s been a lot of

Players who have kind of voiced opinions on what the future of the tour should look like and such like that um what’s on your what’s at the top of your wish list for what the tour looks like three or four years from now is it a world

Tour is it fewer players like what’s your big I I really have no idea I mean it’s changed so much um coming from my rookie year in 2012 um I thought we had a very good product um I just enjoy planning some of the biggest tournaments in the

World and to me Arnold Palmer Invitational is one of those got the players next week and um for me I haven’t spent a whole lot of time thinking about what the future holds I thinking about my game and and how I can get better and and become one

Of the best players in the world and try to win some more tournaments and and hopefully win a major um so that’s I haven’t spent a whole lot of time thinking about it um I know we got a lot of guys thinking about it that are a lot

Smarter and I am and um we’ll see I I really have no idea if there were six tournaments that were International in all different continents added to your schedule would you play them all if you were in them I I would enjoy it I’d love played in in uh Europe I’ve only played

In England and Scotland um just with our PGA Tour schedule it’s hard to go I don’t really see the benefit of going to play a tournament when it lines up against a PGA Tour event just CU I want to get as many FedEx Cup points as possible but um

If those turn tournaments are are part of the PJ tour then I’d love to go play in Spain and Wentworth I’d love to Australia I’d love to go travel and play golf I me that’s the beauty of playing the sport is we get to go all over the

World and there’s some great golf courses that I’ve never played and and places I’ve never seen that I’d love to go check out what did you learn here uh last year playing well on Sunday that you can carry into tomorrow yeah it’s just a grind I mean I I feel like I know

What to expect what the what the course is going to be like tomorrow um you just got to stay mentally in it um every shot means a lot and it’s a razor thin line between hitting a good shot and and being in a bad spot um so

Yeah I love I love that line and and I I feel like it gets me mentally sharp and hopefully I can focus in and and keep hitting some good shots and give it a give it a chance y see it what was the track at

Home you grew up on R condition was I mean like it’s what’s the name of the track it’s a different version of this place Green’s about the size of this half this tent um Sunset Country Club Glenn Arvin Country Club um yeah when when those Bermuda greens get firm and

Fast it’s it’s fun than yep how it
