Plenty of highlights so far M Lee this was at the second and this is at the 15th hole her second shot to the 15th she started with birdies on 11 and 13 and then that was a beautiful approach on 15 and we roll that to get to three under par look at

That that slope bringing that towards the hole alongside Min lead this a very accessible flag here on the left hand side of 15 you saw with min’s ball how it fed back down there and Lydia Cod trying to do the same thing and I have a

Feeling we’re going to see a lot of birdies at that hole today that got Lydia birdies at 13 and 15 for Lydia this is the New Path three and this part from across the green finding one of the straigh of Parts on this hole oh taking

Full advantage so at number 14 the par five left to right breaking putt to get into red figures three the first par three on this golf course decent shot in but a much better part and that was a two for excuse me power five 18th hold this is the third shot for Lydia

O three under part to this point accessible flag there middle portion of the green on 18 and rolling this one in beautifully so Mii was out favorites this week Janet Lynn new 17th oldold dog leg left short par for this her approach two under Parts at this point utilizing one of

Many slopes on this screen that got her to three under wow look how high that has to roll and then bringing it back down beautifully into the hole and canning it too boy a three over par through eight holes Birdie the 18th her ninth hole and one under and then this

Long part at the fourth it’s a long narrow green on this par three and fting the bottom of the cup on the right side of the Fairway for in Chun who showed some good form last week there are thereabouts for most of the tournament and a terrific shot there got

Her about her since she was 10 years old when she qualified for the US Amer youngest player to do so this was her second shot to the 18th and it was ABS the birthday girl Emily Pon she’s a pick of many people this week long hited

Fourth hole par three was a couple over par early but once that drops gets it to Red figures as this was her third shot to the third had a par at the second hole her 11th and then doing very mingy things stiffing it close with the approach and this was a wonderful iron

In just with a wedge and grabbing the side door but put to the par five 84 Lydia Co first group out three under Parts at this point dangerous flag over there chances last week in Singapore Sarah schmelzel it’s to five under par finish tied eight three top 20s to start the year

Third a couple of weeks weeks ago and back a little bit that’s a good [Applause] approach virgin Choy this for the perfect start up the hill for a birdie nicely done yep all about the approaches and the putting Ronnie Y is the last to go

Here that’s just 95 this is a good angle straight at the flag yeah it’s good result certainly is it’s a strength her game Ronnie in the iron plate play the Asian swing at the beginning of last year and it’s just the start she wanted to that’s lovely 30 at the second hole

One under should be looking pin high or or pass just to take that front edge out of play from a lie like that oh you’re not wrong just like that VI her approach to that front left flag pretty flat footed on the way through started left you know that’s the key when your

Feet don’t go through you know this would be a pretty cheeky three and it is well we like cheeky and that is even through two we find on tour this season you and there’s so many good players at the top of their games there certainly are and it’s been a wonderful

First few events of the Season as well some great story Lin what a shot from Gabby Lopez the layup just going with the iron just has to find the Fairway and avoid all the bunkers and does that beautifully love her action just a left Center Putt and a birie there for Ronnie

In back this is the third for hedge and Choy having a good look at this and admiring the result that’s an excellent Dart in from the South Korean big opportunity for her today with 10 straight paa birdie and aogi since then she’s pretty handy around oh no that is so

Good back to force a young Kim get in get in what a shot say young Kim she continues to turn and rotate her body whilst doing it all the VES tend to go the other way come on over the top of it cut across it oh good result there you there’s nothing

Average about our viewers today I tell you what they are she’s on fire already this to go three under PA through four yes thank you it’s a swing that you like you and and it’s a start that she’s enjoying three under through four and she went n certainly seems to

Pro is the easiest back nine at the moment but once that wind does whip up it can be 150 people back to the tea trying to draw it round say young Kim shot she’s usually gotten a bag and does as well on that occasion do you think between the three

Of us in the Box we know PGA will visit this season it’s a global tour and here’s a player from South Korea seang Kim who’s taking a hand off that club but she does that yeah little bit of a fake out there it was good the area J the

Lake really good putting stroke keeps the putter low to the ground firm wrist through impact it’s directly behind she started this out to the right it’s coming back now don’t stay up there that is horrible I think this wind is throwing them it seems to

Be sunny on can also Lydia Co but let’s have a look at this P now oh that was almost a full back swing and wow what an excellent effort I can’t reliable generally you back to Lil Vu and that’s with Adon and the line is very good that’s a

Really good shot close to this flag at all at number six fifth hardest hole in the golf course today oh that’s a brilliant shot from ulu right left down the hill Oh and gets it as well left then come back a little bit oh that is much needed as well yeah

It’s a good two on this hole oh oh nearly in from the middle of the Fairway flag on her heels and in it goes that’s a lovely birdie and so the play at seven so she can follow her playing Partners in tight with this little a IR from

153 come on get up Breeze freshening at least a foot of left ride break here coming off the bogy at six can she get it straight back she can what a putt this is proving to be a very good outing made four birdies in the first seven

Holes an excellent chance Kate for a fifth good shot oh she’s playing well isn’t she no problems at all for her andjoy four under LPGA will visit 10 countries this year it’s a truly Global tour and here is an International player now Alban you were born in New York City

But there’s way more to it than that uh definitely a little bit of a Melting Pot so I was born in the US to a Mexican father and a French mom uh I grew up in Switzerland lived there for 15 years and then I decided to actually pick up the

Nationality and then I moved to the US for college I went to Stanford and now my parents are into Bahamas so I really spend my time all over you do but you don’t just live in the Bahamas as well uh I split my time between Bahamas Dallas Texas and then also Paris little

Bit everywhere I hope you’re keeping up with all of this cuz it’s yeah it’s truly International your Dad’s here this week Alberto and he’s a pretty useful golfer himself uh he was a great golfer had a great amateur career himself he played golf for UCLA and was a top

Amateur player this is a week four for us so definitely it’s been a long stretch um we’re excited to you know have a little bit of a break after but it’s been a great uh great four weeks with him okay so he was a French amateur Champion I believe and played off plus

Four so you got a good guy on the bag now with all of these um you know the achievements that you have off the golf course you also speak several languages too uh I mean I speak like three and a half yeah but you say that in such a

Casual way I I speak three and hang what’s the half language I feel like on this tour there’s a lot of languages spoken uh but I mean I speak French English and Spanish uh grew up also learning German and then I just try to pick up a few languages here and there

You know do a lingual on my free time okay so I believe you’re learning Arabic right now uh yeah just for fun uh it’s not going great but I’m trying I I just like learning different things okay learning Arabic just a fun could be quite useful the way the World of Golf

Is going at the moment um you’ve been playing brilliant golf this year what’s been the secret uh I think just being a little bit more consistent and just working more the ball left to right I think that’s been a huge change for me in the offseason I’ve been a big draw

Player for a long time and I just seeing shots like a fader so I think that’s been a big change and I’m just hitting a lot more fairies a lot more greens and I think it’s showing my results okay so very nearly won at the Honda a couple of

Weeks ago in Thailand now I’m just thinking Beyond Golf so once you’ve won a couple of majors and one on the LPGA Tour I mean what’s left for you are you going to go and U you know be Secretary General of the United Nations with all these different qualifications you got

First you said I need to go out and win a few um I think there’s a lot of you know golf I still have to play and I think that will be a next chapter uh but first I have to focus on what’s here on

Tour so I’m just excited to be here for now I bet well we’re excited to see you play good luck this week thank you so much thank you it’s a tricky shot in across the water and Gabby Lopez has just bombed that down center right of this Fairway

Uh this group have a little bit of a problem we are not seeing maybe a little low draw try and get it traveling Oh it’s coming back beautifully oh she has squeezed every inch out of that club that she could have how good is that from Gabby Lopez

That’s got to be this would be a very very good three for Gabby Lopez oh my goodness how about that on the 10th course with ban Villa second on the way just in that step cut for herin Choy at nine looking up and down that’s white it’s another

Beauty that would be for her how about this this is for three in a row for herin Choy only about 6 feet it’s dropped it can tell from the crowd way above noris feet here at n oh what a good iron shot that is tell

You what just before I came away on this Asian swing I started taking eyes SP for the first time in my life and 25 of them are from the Chinese golf ass Golf Association and Janet Lyn looking at the highlights this was her second shot to the 17th and working it beautifully off

The slope she would roll in that 30d jeez how impressive is that coming alive around the turn outed 31 less for Anna norquist can she find one at 11 yes she can that’s the first birdie of her week let be on the flag or left of it

Kate now Lilia Vu who struggled a bit with her eyes she’s left of the flag that needs to stop now we lose it once it gets hits the ground we’ve got it it’s right near it to get up and down to move within one of Mii and it’s a good opportunity to Kate

That flag is only three Paces from the left beautiful shot again from herin Choy should be a gimme well don’t you love birdie parts of this length get back to even and that’s a lovely three from Ronnie good bounce back too’s oh oh that almost slam dunk there for you location for

Two to get back to level par for the day going [Applause] going taking a long time for Lili Vu to decide what to do but she’s come up with a wedge and I think she’s come up with the right one that should trickle down towards the pin that was a good shot yes

It was like today there’s still going to be a lot of really good stuff in there and she’s not afraid to have a go at it oh that’s very unlucky that’s going to be very awkward for there get to three on the okay at the previous

Back to 15 second on the way for Valenzuela another one getting it in close but how close she too make a birdie well done seen players hit a little further down than we did in the practice rounds she found a groove on the back nine found the target there as

Well the Aon risk reward challenge flag everything will feed down towards it good shot right at the pin and a good chance to recover get one back from that opportunity here for hin Choy to get that drop shot back from the previous hole yes finds the bottom of the car

  1. Lucy Li, Sarah Schmelzel, and Albane Valenzuela look like they had some quality off-seasons. They've come out of the gate in 2024 vying for a case to be among the tour's most improved players.⛳

  2. gee minjees a rock, shes ice,in those interviews she does after rounds she gives nothing away, shes so professional and wont waiver to emotion at all despite the interviewees constant attempts to get a glimpse of the soft side, shes been like this since day 1,i love it

  3. As a lifetime golfer, I wouldn't play this course. Why? The world renowned (late) psychiatrist, Dr. M. Scott Peck wrote an entire book about the psychological/emotional aspect of golf – called 'Golf and the Spirit". Peck was an avid and nationally (?) ranked amateur tennis players but over-use injuries suggested he stop – so he picked up golf and was, as a psychiatrist, enamored with it.

Peck said that we can all agree that sports are metaphors for life – with goal setting, practicing, over-coming failure, teaming, etc. He said with 100% seriousness: "Golf is different. Golf is not a metaphor for life. Golf IS life." And his book explains why he had that assessment. Peck was not just any psychiatrist/psychologist. He was referred to as "The Conscience of Humanity." His seminal work was "The Road Less Traveled" which purportedly outsold the Bible one year – near to 1979 when it was released.

In "Golf and the Spirit" – he sketched an entire golf course and explained the rational for each hole. I wonder what he would have to say about courses like this. I think it's an abomination. The hole with the front-to-back "Berm" in the middle of the green that throws balls far to the right OR to the left isn't golf. That's more like Putt-Putt "golf".

When will we be seeing clown-faces and windmills on golf courses?
