Darkstar it’s a conspiracy it is nothing less than a conspiracy and you know how we love conspiracy theories here on thinking man show we love them we love them what is going on in the PGA Tours vast conspiracy to do what it’s doing which is get rid of piff and

Succeed on their own without certain players who have exited what are they doing well we have four entities here in the conspiracy and we’ll go through each one of them but they have very different motives they all are conspiring together but for different reasons and I ask you

Darkar and I ask all of you audience members will the conspiracy or the conspirators stick together will they be able to stick together with their very different objectives even though they’re bonded by similar motivations they have different objectives Darkstar I’m going to come to you you want to name them you

Want me to name who these conspirators are well I’m just going to start out by telling you we’re back to my conspiracy by convenience because coincidence coincidence yes oh my God I’m even screwing up uh yes coincidence because you have four different entities you can name them in a second they all have

Something to gain by sticking together and well not screwing the piff but just oh they don’t need the money anymore because 12 billion remember guys like Rich learner would say it’s worth 20 billion dollar 12 billion whatever no it’s worth nothing these guys are throwing a little cash at it and

Everybody’s happy and go ahead start naming them because we got to get right to it the rank and file PGA Tour players the ones that most fans aren’t familiar with those guys they are group one they one of the and we’ll come back to what group one’s motivation let’s get them

All on table group two is a group of one one I like that group two is a group of one who could be in the group of one um elephant oh no tiger yes there’s a jungle cat in group of one item two is a group of one tiger group three is SSG

The Strategic Sports Group and there are the Billionaire Boys as we call them now the Billionaire Boys are group three SSG and group four is the now seemingly forgotten never talked about never discussed any longer but we know they’re there and that would be the good oldfashioned PGA Tour independent directors the board

Members we like to say the golf aristocracy down there in P beer that would be Ed Hurley Jimmy Dunn and the the guys plus Mary merer one one woman those guys but really Ed and Jimmy and the seminal people right that’s group four so group one is the rank and file

Group two is a group of one tiger group three is SSG the Billionaire Boys and group four are the independent directors down there in pabra these four groups have coalesced in this conspiracy to do what Darkstar primarily what have they achieved so far well they’ve achieved by keeping the

PJ tour afloat keeping it kind of with the aristocracy and keeping enough people happy where they can keep those darn live guys those guys at defected those awful guys in their own little league and they can’t get points and they can’t go to the majors and so they’re succeeding and how long they’ll

Succeed well that’s what we’re going to get into with these four groups how long can they stay together how long can they keep the PGA Tour afloat in this you cabal as you would say the the piffers Ed and Jimmy the piffers in this conspiracy

We’ll go into that in a minute they have been derailed at least for now by the never piffers and the Never piffers are those other three groups Rank and file tiger and SSG Billionaire Boys those guys have you know put in some cash as

Dr just said a billion and a half up to a billion and a half and therefore they’ve been able to keep the piff at Bay because they need the cash there at PGA Tour operations to fund these uh Signature Events cuz they’re expensive and they’re having some Revolt with

Their sponsors who are who are saying shockingly darkar you want what you want H how much money uh 20 20 million 25 yeah no no we’re not doing that you guys are going to have to put in the money there’s five people that watch your normal events they don’t buy anything

Yeah we were a little bit stressed at the 8 million that you wanted and you want to Triple that yeah no we’re not doing that so you guys come up with the money that’s nice see you later I I have to go now goodbye talk to my executive

Assistant about the details if you wish um but I have a you know a bank go to go run or an insurance company or a grocery store or an oil company or something I’m busy don’t talk to me again about this nonsense of 25 million so they’re

They’re forking over a lot of money and they don’t have any other sources so they’re they’re using the cash from SSG to do so but how are they able to since they all want to now let’s go turn right way to why do they have a similar motive

Why do are they never piffers because they’re very different people right and there’s an important important relationship between group one and group two or lack of a relationship really the rank and file Darkstar we’ve touched on this before audience and uh you know it’s becoming more and more obvious that

Group one the rank and file are interested in less competition for payday uh and who could blame him I mean you know you’re like do you want to compete against 20 other top guys to make a a first place finish and get $4 million in the signature event or 15 well 15’s less

Than 20 that’s better and and I you know I don’t blame him let’s put it in perspective I’m one of the best 100 to 200 golfers in the world and I struggle to make ends meet because I’m staying in hotels and I’m trying to Jet around or

Rent cars I’m paying my caddy 10% and I make the cut and finish 20th and I pick up you know 20 $225,000 that F you know the Kevin kissner famous quote they still write a nice check for 20th Place but it’s not tiger money it’s not Rory

Money it’s not live money no it’s not piff money is it real money no it’s piff money it’s not the it’s not the jet crowd so the non jet crowd uh that play on the PGA tour are interested in less competition so they you know Mana from

Heaven has fallen upon the rank and file the a fair number of good players have PJ tour winners have left to go play elsewhere ah it’s a lot easier to win when those guys are gone and and you come to us with this framework nonsense last summer and you’re telling us that

We’re g to go compete with all those guys again no no no no no no we don’t no no no no we’re not interested in that we want money we don’t want competition therefore we’re never piffers does that sound right to you Darkstar absolutely I

Mean I I can’t like I said can’t blame him I got to I have to say that again and they’re they’re they have every right to do what they’re doing yeah it’s understandable right it’s understandable um in spite of the fluff that the media and their their rabid fans put out there

Which is a it’s of these guys are as pure as the driven snow and their motives they don’t they’re not interested in money at all Darkstar they play for the glory they play for trophies they their wives don’t care about clothes and cars and you know going on vacation their children attend

You know the cheapest public school they can find that’s what they’re interested in They just won trophies in fact if there was no money at all they’d play anyway that’s how dedicated these people are not like those Liv guys who are evil money grubbers you know they and I’m

Sure they think about that right up until they have to go inside the terminal at the airport while the while the other players Drive their car to right on the tarmac and get in their jet yeah well here’s the if you asked all the PGA Tours rabid fans the ones that

Say these things like what I just said to write a check everybody out there that’s a rabid PGA Tour fan stroke a check for 100 bucks send it $100 to Pon aidra to support these players how many checks you think they’d get four maybe five and you know come on

So everybody’s trying to make a living let’s not blame anyone for trying to make a good living and a better living and get ahead and have wealth if they can achieve that with their talent that that’s that’s humankind right that’s all good so they don’t want competition okay

Put a check mark next to that tiger the group of two group two which is a group of one tiger is not interested in those things at all because he doesn’t even play golf really anymore he sort of plays golf uh what does he want Darkstar

We’ve been over it a million times what does he dark what does tiger want so he wants his power he wants to run things I want to be king wants to win he’s got to win something else I want to be King Tiger uh and piff is in his way he

Clearly can’t have them around and these SSG guys look like they like him and he has blessed that investment so it’s looking pretty good for Tiger right now we’ve talked about that a bunch of times we won’t spend time here on that but King Tiger has the SSG as his guys

Apparently putting in the money to get him a couple few years down the road and get the tour on track to maybe breaking even with these big-time payoffs maybe we’ll see so he’s definitely a never piffer group of group three the independent or no excuse me

SSG they are a little bit harder to figure out we’ve sort of come down on one side in previous shows that they are never piffers but I’ve I have said and I’m still there that gee their money looks a lot better when it’s next to piff’s money and

That’s probably true but where I might be falling down on this one is that it’s play money they they’ve you know they’re going to light $100 million on fire each of these billionaire guys and you know so be it we get a few years out of of

Playtime and notoriety and press and you know all that good stuff that we like with our money it’s a toy and therefore piff coming in yeah that’d be fine but the terms that we’re going to offer piff or that we are offering piff are unacceptable to piff yeah so I’ve always

I’ve always said it comes down to their egos they they have have the capital to as you said light 100 million on fire however after that fire burns out there’s going to be a contract and and we are going to talk at a different show about how the equity shares may work and

That’s going to be a little bit different you know the ego can go so far I can light x amount of dollars on fire but eventually you know the PGA tur is going to as they say have to pay the piper and and then we’ll see in a few

Years so unfortunately what I’m really seeing is this conspiracy uh is going to drag things out even longer and unfortunately the majors are going to suffer but I don’t want to get too far off topic as I like to do it’s a nice pivot though so the SSG guys the

Billionaire Boys group three they’re they’re also never piffers now we turn to the most interesting group really in this conspiracy and that is Ed and Jim The Independent directors in golf aristocracy the traditional golf aristocracy that was running the show and everything was going along just fine

Until disaster struck you know until I don’t know you know it’s so it’d be very curious to me who got SSG who brought SSG to the fold because right now the uh Ed and Jimmy they’ve taken speed placees they’re dead silent where did they go you couldn’t you couldn’t turn on the TV

Without Ed hurle he being you know saying something to somebody Jimmy Dunn Jimmy Dunn was Jimmy Dunn was I’m sorry not Hurley you’re right Jimmy Dunn was just all over the media every time you turned the channel yeah he he to testified the senate in July yeah it’s

We we’ve asked this question before audience and we don’t have the answer we would love to find the answer but nobody’s going to offer that up it’ll be that would be very very very difficult to find but we can analyze the breadcrumbs and try to figure it out but

We’re still not anywhere close to knowing the answer to this question which is where did the SSG guys where did Fenway group come from now we know that manahan worked there back when he was a younger guy but he was a kind of a nobody but he maybe he knows John Henry

Reasonably well or some of the other top guys there maybe well enough to pick up the phone and call him now that he’s achieved a certain measure of success being the commissioner at the PJ tour maybe and there was a familiarity there so maybe it was Monahan maybe maybe in

Job maintenance mode because seeing the handwriting on the wall hey if this framework thing comes together they’re going to get rid of Me Maybe maybe I’m not that good and I I like my $15 million a year I like that it’s a little stressful sometimes I have to go away

And take a break because it’s too stressful for me too stressful too stressful um but I like my 15 million yeah I want to be that’s he gave tiger the flu like symptoms maybe so yeah maybe so so these independent guys the group four what happened they they they

Went out and got this deal going the framework agreement everything was looking good they were going to get three billion is and no strings really they were going to run the show and the and piff was going to be their partner and it was all good looking good and the

The rank and file said yeah no we don’t want to do that we don’t more competition no no no we justed all those guys this is great no we don’t want to change that can’t we get some more money from somebody else tiger hears this and

Says yeah what they said or maybe he put them up to it who knows what who were the first movers and then who put SSG up to it who got them to make a quote unquote unsolicited offer that was very solicited um they said unsolicited to satisfy the framework agreement Spirit

Of that in case they still needed piff and they would still like to have that billion or two but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen because they’re offering crappy terms well well the billion or two from piff unfortunately comes along with a lot of Live players

Getting rights and privileges and majors in PGA Tour Signature Events so who does that which group does he doesn’t want that number one in particular yeah ex number one’s unhappy about that that’s how you get the peasants in line now getting back to the aristocracy is as I said

When you talk about a um conspiracy situation you know a conspiracy by coincidence you have a few guys at SSG were maybe talking about the tomorrow Golf League or they’re they’re getting together and maybe they’re having like I said a scotch at one of their clubs and the guy one guy says hey

You know the PJ tour is not worth 20 billion why don’t we get a few of us together and you know we don’t need that saudy money we can all put in a hundred million and you know this is how things happen somebody says hey you know that’s

Not a bad idea what are we going to do I mean they they they the PJ tour I can you know I could bankroll the PJ tour myself let’s get you know if we get a few guys hey you know Jimmy and Ed and those guys would probably go along with

It they’ve been trying to make a horse race of it we could help them out and this is you know you get a little bit of the ball rolling and you get one guy then that that is the point man as we said the finway group then becomes the

Point guys and says hey the finway group gets three or four other billionaires five six guys end up showing up and you know Cohen goes hey can I get a piece of that you know he’s he’s over at the next table playing Jen and he says Hey I want

A piece of that and there there you go now you have like I said the puzzle just fall into place and and the egos go hey all those egos get together at one table then and they say hey we can do this we don’t need the piff and now you get a

Movement going and six months or it has well it’s been eight months but really it’s been the last few months all of a sudden the tables have completely turned and we don’t need the Saudi money and and yeah it’s really not worth the 20 billion that the the first numbers were just

Ludicrous absolutely yeah you know it could be if we could only get Mike to come on the show and chat with us as as some of our commenters would like well he’ll just tell us everything right Darkstar people just tell you everything they’re thinking they just tell you what

Their secret plans are and that’s how you go and be a reporter uh uhhuh right so Mike Being Mike mcari now I’ll spend 60 seconds on this just to give you something to chew on Dark Star so Mike McCarley is the former head of golf oper

Golf TV for NBC and leaves there and you know he’s the guy behind the tomorrow Golf League where always tomorrow um and so they announced that as a countermeasure to to lives team stuff and they pulled that out of the drawer mccarley’s like oh it’s an opportunity

You know blah blah blah well mcari you would assume played a significant role of something to developing who’s going to be the owners of the teams and that was going on you know a year ago right a year year and a half ago from the gecko and then they started announcing well

Somebody got Benway group not SSG but Benway group involved so who knows them maybe it’s mcari maybe it’s EOL maybe it’s somebody else in that little group I don’t think it would be tiger himself but hey you guys want to buy one of these teams we’ll give it to you for $5

You know it’s not worth anything but you know maybe we’ll build into something and then we’ll figure out how that works and Fenway yeah sure great um and that’s maybe how it got moving by your you know conspiracy of coincidence yeah that could be yeah well and that’s what I’m

Trying to say is these things don’t happen because there’s some ma this isn’t the movies there’s not some Mastermind pulling the strings and getting all these guys together and one guy had this idea these are you know these are still intelligent guys and it’s like well you know you have an idea

Over here the same guy over here has the idea all of a sudden they run into each other at seminal and then they start talking and hey you know what we could get Bobby and Eddie and Ricky and you know the whole gang we get the whole

Gang of 10 and we got enough money to cut the piff out completely and then we save America we you know we save some I I agree with what you’re saying uh somebody had to have that idea somebody had to have the notion that hey we got

Some good owners here of these tgl teams most importantly John Henry and the Gang at Fenway group um maybe they can you know John are you interested in maybe putting together a Consortium that can throw some money at the PJ tour and become a you know an investor instead of

The piff in the framework a now who would I don’t think that’s tiger is it somebody on Tiger’s team I don’t think that’s Stein either I think you know the other thing is it may just been Monahan initially just trying to get you know just looking for leverage he’d never because he

Wouldn’t maybe even let’s give Jay some credit for the first time ever on this show wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute can I sit down first all right I’m sitting go ahead all right but the the point is maybe Jay was even smart enough to realize hey this

Golf is worthless we have no we’re losing our fans we have no Revenue we have to be nonprofit to just pay the players what we pay them maybe I can get the piff to kick in a little more money if I get a little try to get some competition some bring somebody

Else to the table and all of a sudden these guys are show up and Jay says to him Jay gives him that story and the finway group goes yeah that’s right I can buy the PGA with pocket I got that much money in my checking account right

Now that’s a good idea let me get a couple guys together and forget it we got this no big deal I will give Jay in that theoretical eventuality I as I alluded to earlier in the show it’s possible it is possible that that Jay is in job preservation

Mode and and if the handwriting on the wall was if the piff comes in they’re going to have a lot of say so and they probably don’t like me because I’m not you know that good I’m just not um figurehead yes Kendall yes uh as you know as sharp as the piff’s operator

Guys yeah no no he’s not that he’s not a Wall Street type of guy he’s not a CEO of a real company can you imagine J Manan running you know Walmart that’s funny so you know he’s not that kind of guy but job preservation mode well that yeah he

Could pick up the phone and say hey John it’s Jay yeah you wouldn’t be interested in making a you know just thinking about it I can’t suggest it but uh just thinking about this maybe you want to invest money in the PJ tour yeah because those billionaire guys with a toy they

Don’t they probably fine with Monahan staying there and as I said you know the last two groups are the Egos and the aristocracy and they could you know I I could see Ed and Jimmy stepping aside for just a short you know for at least a

Short period of time saying hey you guys want to make a try to make a horse race of this you go ahead take yeah we I’m going to go work on my game and yeah we we go from there well let’s take the show out on the F on the group four so

The the independent directors Ed Hurley Jimmy Dunn the and the Gang the golf aristocracy what are they doing now are they how they got to where they are is fascinating we can’t go into that right the second and great detail but what are they doing now and going forward because

Their motivations okay there are they really never piffers have they thrown in have they gone native as we say in corporate world have they gone native are they now never piffers with with the other three groups just for self-preservation of their own do they really want to keep their board seats

And their you know positions of fun and power uh there at PGA Tour uh or not will they hang with those guys or have they been carved out and they really don’t have much power at this point in time what do you think uh first of all I think they have

They’re they’re they’re in preservation mode in the sense why H you know I really don’t want these Senators not on my side because I still want to put together a few Billion Dollar Deals which some Senator could easily say yeah that mger is not happening you even

Though they make sense sometimes um so they they still have to Curry favor to you know the American uh politicians so that’s preservation mode number one number two maybe they like I said do want to move on or maybe they just want to be board members and they’ll make

Some policies once the you know once the real billionaires waste all their money maybe they figure they’re going to come in and save the day that that’s another thing because you know once we get into private equity and trying to get a return on investment I just don’t see it happening

You the thing is going to collapse in a few years tops let’s be honest it’s got a very limited shelf life they don’t have the runway um now let’s remind the audience that Ed hurle he’s Law Firm wtel Lipton I believe it is um is still

A vendor to the PGA Tour they’re still collecting fees and Ed is the vice chairman of that firm so he’s got a financial interest directly in this thing and the the the client PJ tour now has a lot more money to spend on legal fees among other things so keeping this

Thing going from a legal point of view is in his financial interest oops we call that a conflict of interest Darkstar but uh they probably wouldn’t say that there but yeah I mean the more problems there are that require lawyers that’s good for Ed his you know bank

Account and Jimmy is in that same ecosystem not a lawyer I don’t does he have a real financial interest and I don’t know it’s not as direct a line as Ed um and maybe they’re just sitting back is that kind of what you’re saying are they sitting back looking at just

Waiting for the other shoe to drop yeah they they’ve been at they’ve been playing this game for a lot longer than the SSG group and they’re sitting there going okay as I said you guys want to make a horse race of it go ahead and they figure two things one they’re

Either going to benefit some way financially staying on the board and staying in the background and then secondly they figure well you know when this thing blows up we can we can ride in and save the day and merge the leagues you know I mean because obviously let’s not forget what’s the

Most the the best thing ever is eventually you do have as Rory said a live super tour with the top 60 80 players playing 15 20 times and then enjoying the majors with you know the 150 top players in the world uh I I I my last comment because that that aiming on

Golf Channel first of all why they call it the golf channel is ridiculous it’s not the Golf Channel it’s the PGA Tour Channel and the fact that yeah the best players are not going to be at the Masters which is disappointing some of not going to get

Yeah not going to get any more fired up than that okay well another show we can come back and do that um so they’re maybe they’re minding their time and you could you can imagine Ed and Jimmy out for 18 at seminal how delightful would that be um chatting it over like yeah

We’re just going to let it play out Jim that’s what we’re going to do I mean we’re well positioned we’re here we’re not going to go anywhere we control the the independent directors and the way the bylaws work where we can’t be removed necessarily without the other independent directors voting for that so

We could we pick the commissioner we still have plenty of power yeah tiger we’ll see how long that lasts let’s just see there’s something to be said as someone once told me in corporate world there’s a lot to be said for hanging around a lot to be said because things

Change and uh we’ll see how long the Billionaire Boys want to stick around if they have to have another Capital call that probably won’t go well we can imagine they have to they’ll have a couple Capital calls but yeah well outside of the one and a half and

Outside of that one and a half billion that they’ve got sort of pledged right everybody’s going to put up 100 million right yeah oh yeah uh okay sure and after that gets spent and some of it on our legal Fe gy it’ be great um you know

What then we’ll see what happens now I have a critical question for you and then we can start to wrap up audience for today are Ed and Jimmy talking to yaser directly do you think not right now I don’t know I don’t think they are

Right now you think they could be or let me put it another way what are the odds that they’re having a chat or two every once in a while with the oser about the State of Affairs uh I think there’s an occasional very short hey you know this is what’s

Happening uh we’ll know in another month and then we’ll give you an update I it’s it’s purely a update on what is what’s happening what’s the state of the PGA Tour SSG group combination um but no there is no they’re not negotiating anything right now they don’t want to be involved right

Now things are so convoluted they’re they’re they’ve taken a back seat I think they’re you know as I said maybe Jimmy’s back working on his game how’s Ed’s game maybe you and I could take them on Ed Jimmy if you want to take us out to seminal we’ll take we’ll play you

Guys as long as they don’t say all in and if that doesn’t happen like all in oh my God Dark Star we need we need a three hero we’re all dead well just our Allin is a rounding error for them I I hear you that’s what

I’m that’s what I’m saying like what are we gonna play for pink slips um yeah well it’s it’s if they have and I think they do I think that it’s not only them there are probably like a Rory ma haven’t brought his name up at all in this show we’ll we’ll continue

This dialogue audience we’re going to get out and I’m going to bring up this last little maybe it’s a pivot point that we can get to at the we carry those conversation to another show uh if they if Ed and Jimmy want to keep the piff around for two reasons really they’d

Want to do that and I have a very I would have a very hard time understanding that they wouldn’t want to do the following keep them around for the following two reasons one they may need the money they need money they just got it from another place now is that

Going to run out yeah so they’ll need money again okay and the current guys the SSG Billionaire Boys probably aren’t going to be forking over another billion and a half okay number two uh the piff could really make things difficult for the PGA Tour if they chose if they so

Chose they could invest in the DP World Tour as we’ve said that would be a problem they could continue to do things to rile up the situation in prlf and that makes it harder for the PJ tour to get success to have more bigger audience to have better TV ratings to

Get another TV contract to do the things that they need to do in order to make Revenue to to get more money out of their investors if they need it so you want to keep the piff you know not only close but ameliorated to some extent you

Know like hey yaser don’t don’t don’t don’t go crazy and do something you know that’s really GNA torpedo the the sport I mean that that you know tear it down I don’t think the piff wants to tear it down we don’t think that we’ve never thought that they

Absolutely don’t want they want quite the opposite they want a healthy ecosystem um right they want a healthy ecosystem that they are part of to do what they want to do which we said is to work in that ecosystem the financial markets the world uh mer acquisition mergers Acquisitions Market yeah when

You put it like that and to wrap it up they need to keep the piff around they need to keep the piff happy for as long as they can because the players on live are not going to sit around for much more than I’d say two years at most the

Young stars are going to say Hey you told us something was going to happen now it’s time you got to make it happen you know you’re either going to buy the DP tour buy the Open Championship you know we we risked our careers and our livelihoods now not not livelihoods obviously they’re getting

Paid a good chunk of change however you know we still you know the young stars are still going to want to play in those majors and compete at the highest level and it’s golf can only stand maybe a year or two of this division regardless so yeah they have to keep them around

They have to keep them happy it’s a delicate dance that the PGA Tour and this group for these independent board members ad and Jimmy and the guys are have to have to dance it’s a delicate dance they have to perform to keep the piff around and not ticked off and I

Don’t I don’t know that that’s going very well at the very moment it’s not going well at all right now if the piff can figure out a way to become a partner of invest in somehow get the European tour into their Camp then boy that’s bad news for the PGA

Tour as as Bry and D shampo said that would be bad for the PJ tour Plan B Plan B right Plan B go ahead let’s get out take you take us out yeah if think about this Rory wins the Masters he he’d be crazy not to go to live and just be done

With this whole PGA t a disaster just like Rah did Rah wins that major he he knew he was going the whole time yeah I don’t I don’t know how Rory pulls I I you I’d like to leave it right there I I Gotta Throw in that I don’t I I I like

Rory going to I like Rory coming out and saying and we’ve told our Inner Circle this on the podcast we’ll let this little bit slip out here on YouTube If Rory announces tomorrow or the day after he wins the Masters if that should happen that I’m going to play on the

European tour now I’m GNA still play in PG tour events selectively but my home tour I’m going back to my roots going back to Europe my home tour is the European tour that if that happens and then there’s money from piff to the European tour at the same time that’s I think

Good enough you don’t have to get Rory to live you just get Rory to the European tour and then you put live guys in the European tour events and you have effectively created the same thing right yeah because there won’t well there yeah exactly because there will not be enough

Personality on the PJ tour to get any sponsor money well you can imagine like the top 25 live guys or 20 that play up to that are they’re ranked in the top 20 of live if you’re ranked there now you get to go and play in the you know

Whatever the Dubai Desert Classic or something on the DP tour with Rory so there’s Rory with the other 20 live guys in the rest of the field it looks a lot like a live event and but Roy’s not on live so there you go you know the purse is 25 million the

Purse is still huge just like a live event so it’s now all one big happy uh you know all the piffers are together and that and Roy does gets the save face he doesn’t have to say that he betrayed his previous words that he could never play on uh on Liv all right

I am out for now Dr darkstar’s out if you’re a fan of the show be sure to subscribe to our new audio podcast that is where you will get topics that’ll never get to YouTube and there are a lot of those that we like to talk about

  1. How this Youtube channel isn’t any bigger? I don’t know. But I do understand anything that goes against the grain specifically when talking about Tiger will not surface any popularity. I am young, so young that I didn’t even see prime Tiger but he dominates the sport in an unhealthy fashion ane he’s looking to capitalize on it. It’s LIV Vs Tiger Woods not Live Vs PGA, at this point. Thanks for the videos!

  2. The billionaire boys, I love it. Can we call the PIFFERS the Blood Money Boys? Let's ask the 9/11 families. Makes complete sense to me.

  3. Why do american sports typically generate huge $$$ for franchises and players? It is easy to follow and scale. Premier league similar.
Golf is hard to follow, i have to make an effort to follow professional tours. These insights help see egos before logic are the basis of decision making. Hard to predict what will happen, but fun to see how it falls out.
OWGR is a joke and every non-US stakeholder has always thought so.

  4. i've been a fan of you guys/following your commentary programs on pif/pga for at least a year now.
been enjoying it and even rooting for you guys on your predictions regarding your thoughts of which entity would come out ahead.
but you guys'd been wrong about most of your predictions.
now, the pga tour surprised you guys with their final deals/agreements with thier new corperate america investers & not pif. they did not need pif's money to survive as you predicted anymore!!!

    let it go guys.
it's over. pga tour is saved.
you should be more interested in how the two, pif & pga tour, will play this conflict game out in the future ?
it would be more interesting, wouldn't it.

  5. When are players 51 through 500 in the world going to realize THEY are the product? They should have all the power!

  6. Great show guys, i have a question: how can the pga tour members be an equity partner of this new entity? I know the business details arent out yet but this is more of a theory/thought question. If the tour operates on a meritocracy and theres an ever revolving door of players, how can they keep touting that the tour players are going to own a piece of this new entity if there not guarenteed anything? Do they give the ownership stakes to the pga tour card holders of that season? Likewise, if you lose your membership card the next season you lose the stake in the tour? What are the pros/cons of this or am i out to lunch on this, cause i can see why the attraction of a guarenteed contract to a top player would look like. Alot of these tour players lack the NIL, the top tour talent have that NIL but you can argue some youtubers have a larger influence via social media, like the rick shiels of the world, not saying theres alot of them but i know alot of friends that know rick shiels over viktor hovland and alot of these top tour guys just via social media presence. The pga has done a shit job of marketing there guys, its always been the same ole shit, no innovation, only now your starting to see it, via a competitor on the market in the form of LIV. Sorry this comment dragged on, ill understand if you stopped reading. Cheers

  7. Once a fan, this is my take on LIV after the Hamas attack: if Satan whispered in your ear and offered every luxury you could ever imagine would you sell your professional soul? Some would resist, while many would not. I have compassion for the LIV players but I'm afraid their competitive careers are over. They took the cash, more than imaginable, and now they're stuck playing one another for the rest of their playing days, a form of luxurious purgatory. I could be wrong, but I was right that the deal would never happen.

  8. PGA is hanging on by a thread. If PIF does'nt get DPWT out of this mess, LIV will grow like crazy. With DPWT the all world tour will be intact, and if not, PIF will just build the LIV product to achieve the same thing. PGA monopoly is looking ill and they have their lack of leadership to blame. Jay was bad enough, then he added Tiger to the mix to completely wipe out anything that could have worked for everyone. Yet one thing is certain, we will continue to hear how the best players in the world are playing for PGA, ugh.

  9. Please do a deep dive on what will happen after the masters …… will hideki go to LIV , how many more go to LIV this year Rory ???
Heard he might go to Play Europe’s tour , hence the move to London or maybe he’s gonna be more centrally located for a LIV Tour? It’s gonna get interesting this year on so many levels
Politically, economically, socially and golf world !!!
Rahm started the dominoes for LIV momentum .
BRICS has at least 60% of the worlds countries on or ready to sign on to BRICS , and don’t forget the bonds that are maturing and must be paid off … we’re talking 7 to 8 trillion the feds must come up with ???? All the while the world is liquidating their treasury bonds !!! Which means no one is buying the feds / treasury debt anymore . Whose gonna pay off bonds ?? The printing press !!!! Just print the dollar into oblivion . Meanwhile gold is holding at over 2100 an ounce !!! And bit coins over 61 k a token !!!! Strap on your seat belts boys cuz inflations going Weimar on us . The money PLEDGED to PGA most likely will fall off the cliff
We LIV in exciting times to say the least . This will be a massive roller coaster year !!!
And we haven’t even touched politics 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😱😱

  10. Looks pretty obvious the PGAT are offering their players…… sign this one off loyalty payment (which will be big for the top 20 and crap for the rest from the good people of SSG)…. but you must sign a lifetime deal to stay with us when you take the payment…… Then all they need to do is wait out the 5-10 years before LIV runs out of players, as everyone else is signed to PGAT/SSG. A model destined to fail, as LIV will be willing to write to the cheques for court cases anyone who wants out of the PGAT/SSG lifetime deal. The second part of the PGAT/SSG deal is, this is the only path to ranking points and majors…….. meanwhile the majors and PGA of America and R&A, go sorry don't make deals on our behalf trying to restrain trade and damage our products justb so you can keep what is left….. this mnight be the final step for the majors to make their own call on who is in and out of majors based on form on all tours not on OWGR.

  11. The best thing about pga tour so far are all the players OUTSIDE the top 50, 100 and greater winning. I hope none of the "top guys" win this yr (scheffler, Thomas, spieth) etc

  12. Pif taking over the DPWT would only make global golf stronger. R&A would then have to recognize Liv since DPWT and The Open are hand in hand. Thats Golf's original history.
Then I'd make the Australian Open a new major. Go to France, Italy and South African Open's as well. Global Majors..
I'd look at the Asian Tours as well. Korea and Japan. China.
    Something to think about.

  13. I brought SSG to the table. The game TGL is based upon is protected by my US PATENT, and they are helping me to monetize it. John Henry and I go way back.

  14. Ugh. I got all warm fuzzy feeling when I saw the title…. Then I hear the 4! I was really hoping for…..flat earth- because when I hit my ball it goes right…..right…..right then hits a roof n bounces back in the fairway> whew. 2nd Bigfoot, when I land in a divot the size of a small size 24 shoe, and wonder why there isn’t a rule to pickup n move ur ball out!!! 3) the Big Bang theory 😊 I buy those damn $700 drivers. N bang it sounds like a shotgun going off……and D) never PiF’r the idea that they, them , those think you just let a great paying job go by-cuz that’s what pro athletes do…..ha so I’ll keep listen to you two. Let me know if u need some very insightful words……or not. 😂

  15. Seth and Jay both worked at Fenway, Jay went to John with his hands out. John, armed with significant knowledge, set the trap to help me jump the shark.

  16. If you trust Tiger, you deserve your outcome. This is no longer about golf. The PGA Tour blew it. I concur that Jay is in over his head, Tiger is looking to take over the throne. LIV made golf fun and competitive again. PGA Tour is managing outcomes and their favorite players. The masters, just a huge disappointment. No one seems to be looking at the future, just protecting what they think they have today. It’s sad.

  17. The phone was ringing. They had a chance to get a cut and make it realtively doable. It aint never going to happen now. LIV is doing exactly what PGAT did to the european tour.

  18. Momentum definitely shifted to the PGA. Unfortunately that is not good news for the fans as that means there won't be an agreement anytime soon. I hope that that PIF concentrates on the rest of the world. Build the Asian tour and creates big events in Australia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

  19. Ed and Jimmy come from the fee based world. They’ve hit the jackpot of all fees. SSG will give them meaningless board seats or nothing. They don’t care.

  20. LIV business model is not working, yet! It may or it may not. PGA and PIF are playing chicken. How much are PIF willing to invest without decent returns, that’s the big question

  21. Sponsors won’t back them – there’s more talent in my clubs monthly medal and we play for a chook on a Sunday – I would send a cheque but $100 usd is about $234 Aussie dollars!!

  22. Aren’t we just looking at two rival tours – LIV and the PGA feeding a mega tour joint sanctioned. Can we not have a pyramid where the top 35 players from each tour qualify for 10 mega events – the majors and another half dozen. Every year we promote and relegate 6 players from each tour to the mega tour?

  23. Tiger and the Aristocrats, sounds like a bad band. They all are begging FSG for money. No way LIV can be right.

  24. Such great value this guys. At times I feel like I'm watching an episode of Soap but that said some great points made. Keep it coming

  25. That DPWT angle is obvious and interesting. LIV, like a woman scorned, hath no fury, just vengeance. They will spank the PGAT and make it the "feeder" tour. At the moment, watching PGAT events is as dull as dishwater. LIV is fun and interesting. Time will tell.

  26. I wish you guys would fully embrace YouTube and cover topics closer in real time, as so much has occurred the past two days to the point this is somewhat old news. Try as I might, I can't get myself to pay for a Podcast subscription. I don't see enough value or content to justify paying $19.99 month – especially when by the time you upload a podcast it's old news. I'd be more inclined to support you and the show were you to simply go "full on" YouTube and had a Patreon account where you had exclusive stuff for members. If promoted properly, you could make way more on YT than you ever could going the subscription route. Hope you'll one day see the light as yours is some of the best content out there.

  27. Where do the equipment companies fit in? They have a lot of power behind scenes as well and liv makes the price of players skyrocket.

  28. Open Questions:

How long can the PGAT keep this going? (asking for 3x) …current status quo ?? ?
What open litigation is there ?
Why would SSG want to simply "pay-off" legacy PGAT members, which $$ going into a black hole, what does SSG get fore this ?

  29. LIV is price tagging pro golf's soul. Take the cash and kiss your competitive career good-bye. Their choice but I bet many are double guessing their decisions.

  30. Good show guys.
LIv guys could put pressure on pif to get them into majors. But we all know the majors without many of the LIv guys are increasingly not majors (except the masters because it’s the masters and they truly can do whatever they want).

LIv needs to keep their focus on investing in the players, getting more of the top players (no longer based on the owgr but data golf and others).

    As Far as the groups:
The one I want to focus on is the players group.

Tiger and the golden boys —Jordan, jt, sheff, Rory and a few other guys — have their issues with the rank and file but ironically are on the same side as the rank and file. Why?
Because no one at LIv really wants the rank and file …and the golden boys especially Tiger know they will have many special perks with the pga tour as their careers progress; ie their own tournaments, now possibly major stakes and more.
The rank and file should consider themselves very lucky to be in the jet stream of this whole thing because it’s never been a better time to be a mediocre Tour pro.

But tiger and the pga tour golden boys do have a choice still. And that’s why they are still the key to this whole thing.

Those golden Tour guys are still in a great position assuming Rory doesn’t decide it’s a good idea to take a good hand, show everyone their cards and fold; which he is trying to do but still. The golden boys have that hand for now.

That’s why LIv needs to focus on that second tier of stars remaining on the pga tour.

For whatever reason yesterday was the day the pga tour and pga tour channel side started admitting the owgr is basically irrelevant. They defended what they did but acknowledged it’s not doing the job of properly ranking golfers. And I want to stress it’s not just with LIv they are poor at ranking golfers. The owgr as rahm mentioned again today has been flawed and biased for a long time. He also thought LIv had already stopped pursuing owgr points; that’s how irrelevant the owgr is gotten.

This is what happens when a ranking system has conflicts of interest.

Again, liv need to get as many top LIV (54) players and let the rest sort itself out. The majors can only sacrifice their events for the pga tour for so long. Something will have to give. The LIv boys just need to be patient.
