Hey a lot of you out there need more power more distance off the tea so you can come in to the green with a much much smaller club right after this let me give you a really simple tip that’s going to help you make a more powerful
Back swing and wind up so you can get more Club head speed into the ball coming down uh stay tuned hey this is Steve with hit longer. comom I continue on my mission to hit the ball longer and straighter than I ever have before and I hope to show you
How to do it too all right we saw in a video that I did last week how to set up the left arm at a dress and this goes a long way toward simplifying the tip today and that is I like to bring my left arm both
Extended and try to bring it over the top of the corner of the peck here almost like I’m going to grab it or squeeze it I’m going to marry the arm to the corner of the PEC like this and so lining up it would look something like
This you see my arm is clearly brought around in front and as nice as for a nice straight line with the club shaft a lot of golfers don’t do that a lot of golfers who were either poor golfers and or shorter hitters which often correlates very highly they’re lining
Up with the arm bent and way back here on the side of the ribs like this and this is not setting you up for power now anatomically What’s Happening Here is I I do my Peet grab what I’m doing here is I’m moving the scapula or your shoulder blade the whole shoulder
Area is being pulled away from the spine and we’re starting to incorporate the shoulder itself into the length of the lever therefore we’d be increasing it now that’s last week’s tip today’s tip is continuing on that facilitated if you’re already doing this so now that your shoulder blade is
Pulled away from the spine and kind of around in front and kind of integrating with the length of your left arm you can now feel the stretch of the scapula a little bit and you can enhance that in your takeaway so watch as I bring the shoulder into the lever
Here and you see how long and wide I can take this back and because I am pulling I’m winding this scapula right here that Wing that we have I’m pulling it further further so I’m starting with it already a little bit pulled away from the spine and then as I go into my
Takeaway I’m just going to be pulling it further and further by rotating it in like this rotating it in just like this doing that motion as I take the club away and essentially it’s giving me not only a longer wider takeaway look how nice and wide that is but you can
See by the time I get halfway back in my back swing it’s got me stretched out to where I’m nearly making 90° shoulder turn by the time I’m halfway this is giving us longer wider windup also increasing potentially the momentum that we’re getting going back that we can reverse back into the ball
Again so we really want to get this shoulder blade the scapula involved the shoulder involved in the back swing because of all the potential power it brings into your swing me see if I can do one now or I really wind that scapula up early
On and that’s a big hit tons of carry on that I feel like I could be wrong but in my experience with this the better I can do this it feels like also the more upwards I tend to hit on the ball that makes the ball launch
Higher carry farther which is a what a lot of shorter hitters need more of is Air carry just not carrying it far enough you know it’s amazing when you study the anatomy and apply it to the golf swing and how much more leverage and power and ease
That we can create not only longer golf shots but straighter golf shots too so hey keep watching the channel I appreciate you so much for your support I hope you’ll help me get over the 100,000 subscriber uh Mark coming up soon uh leave a comment if this tip
Really helped you or if you have any questions about it and as usual I’ll either see you in the next video or I’ll see you longer and straighter down the Fairway Everybody Take Good Care oh

Love putting it on the peck move. I that but just got lucky and naturally started doing that Also love stretching that scapula over.
Can also focus on the right scapula moving far to the left on backswing. Heard a long driver advocating that once but I struggled with it a bit.
Thanks for another good tip to focus on.
Hey Steve, im really struggling to understand the difference between the 'cross-over' technique (good) and spinning the driver on its own shaft (bad). I'm uncertain of the feel and im worried im doing the latter. Could you offer a video that deals solely with the difference between these two as theyre annoying similar to me. Gracias mi amigo.
