All right everyone welcome back to GK Pro you are watching the conclusion of the tour down under here at the final round of the 2024 Paradise plates down here in Paradise New Zealand it’s perks of disl and Tall Paul coming at you how we doing today everyone

We got another battle going on Levi Stout took down the third event of the Tor down under corellis took down events one and two they’re battling it out right here along with Paul Omen Sullivan Tipton you guys are just four back Cory’s just one back wind is up again

Today it’s going to be an unpredictable round out here and we’ve got three of the best Americans that made the trip down here to New Zealand and the best new Zealand golfer so we’re in for a treat and here we go par three starting off with a short little 80 meter shot

Pick your poison you want to go right at it want to try the skip [Laughter] shot Levi Stout just 17 years old and Le I actually made the trip over to the United States for junior worlds last year and missed the final four by one stroke just two strokes off of the

Lead with nine holes to play find out a little for Cory but it’s got to he’s got a put put her in his bag that never misses the uh chains there so and I’ve given up guessing your dis Paul you’re just going to have to chime

In this is the one you like to call an AVR but it’s a rock finding that last tree to beat is that that old school rock a four time it’s a four time it’s been sitting in a box for a while I finally decided to bust it out nice and

Overstable slowly like some sort of Zone here it’s a little wide little wide skipping into the base of that big Redwood it’s such a short hole but it’s a touchy one tricky PFF for Cory stump’s pretty dominant there it might be a tricky comebacker as well

Kind of got into the trees there you think it’s a similar looked to yesterday almost identical and just didn’t have the fire to start off this that back foot didn’t really got to get off of it yeah you’re right Cory got himself in a bush here not too far from the

Basket I noticed just how intentional Cory is with every shot he takes his routine is nearly identical and I don’t think of him as someone who takes a lot of time he’s definitely up there in that 15 to 20 second range per shot yeah gets comfortable he knows what he wants to do

And he’s very intentional the shot and honestly this hole’s been giving our lead card some trouble yeah no one’s really parked it I feel like well two 109 M this one has also been given a lot of people trouble there’s only a few birdies carded throughout the weekend and you can see

Why Flex forehand plays a late flipping backand can climb up that hill there’s one branch that hangs down in the middle the Fairway seen more Bogies than birdies on coverage so far we I deciding between that Pekka Pekka backhand or this Destroyer forehand just getting a little over

Wow you can see it in Cory’s body language there a little bit of headwind on this hole he’s thinking that that wind’s going to do the work for him Lees a little more he on it than he needs to no early out of the hand and that’s a

Tough spot to find yourself yeah you don’t want to hit early on this hole got a lot of work to do and and if you guys haven’t T tuned in to rounds one or two here on the channel we’re we’re down here in Paradise it is at the very southern tip

Of New Zealand way back up in this beautiful Valley and one of the ways we’re able to play here Paradise trust allows us to play in the the the Fang gor Forest back here we’re not allowed to cut down any trees we’re not allowed to move any branches or anything it has

To stay unadulterated and that’s why we have so so much going on in all of these Fairways it it adds a special element to the tournament yep yep oh yeah Su with a beautiful upshot off the tea just caught that one you got to miss

Dr in oh Dam this is what I love about playing with Cory you know he’s just always going to give it a bed my second shot got a little off into the brush there leaving myself a tough upshot for my third here we are with a long look over a hill four Circle

Two and it’s kind of a scary run from right there as well and that is a tough hole for you Paul that’s going to be a double bogey yeah not not what I’m looking for at the beginning of the round here things being so so tied up at the

Top and Levi a little timid from 40 feet great up and down for Sully you played with Sullivan much in the past this is the first time I’ve met Sullivan Tipton and he missed our first event and bought a leg but the first event that I

Saw him at but I’ve played with him twice here at Paradise plates it has been an absolute pleasure quality human I think you compared him to a a good friend of ours Peter McBride that’s right he’s got similar Vibes he’s young and he’s got a good

Head on his shoulders and he’s just got that kind of Southern kindness and a great forehand little uphill par three 86 M nice back stop maybe a couple competitors give it a run here yeah Levi likes to go a little faster here with this t- bird saw this yesterday and he

Catches a similar branch knocking him down short looked real similar to yesterday’s shot he punched through yesterday that one caught a little more Square Gore finding the circle and this is so’s usdgc Ace disc this American flag Raptor and he’s been dialed on this Flex is Baseline plastic rock this is a

11 Time casy pro it’s got a lot of lot of turn to it to the right and so what’s the difference between that 11 time versus the the four time as far as the stability oh my goodness that 11 times been around for a while it’s pretty worn

In hit several trees and that uh you know it’s really flippy the four time Champion plastic much more overstable cool and I know you noted you noted earlier Levi’s got a little uncharacteristic vibe to his putt at the moment he was timid on that one as well

Wasn’t he and here Cory as well put himself in a good position off the T and just little high gets an unlucky roll and that happened quick three putt whole three he’s going to be one over trying to make up a little ground after that that dub I took on

Two see that happen in some blood in the water but well at this point in your career what do you do to collect yourself after a double when you’re fighting for the win I just got to remind myself where I’m at here doing what I want to do got a lot of holes

Left and I know I know what’s out there in the open lot of wind on to whole four par three downhill got a little bit of a brush patch you want to clear over or kind of tip early into and just get yourself an open putt kind of crash in here but if

You don’t hit anything you’re Sky past it so little bit of a pace play Get It Up good and high soly this look like he’s got the line here yeah that Zone’s fading out a little early outside in circle two looks a little better what’s it going to

Do with the Finish oh my goodness I couldn’t see from the tea but I thought thought it did go over the top of the basket maybe not had a chance but punch through nicely it’s kind of what you want to do here just get yourself an open putt you

Hit early and you’re just in jail takoo putter for Levi elevator right in front of the basket just remind yourself to get this one high Paul are you keen on some of the RPM plastic now You’ I’m yeah I’m liking the feel I’m loving the way Jacko Sullivan and Levi are chucking them

Around how can you not be everybody’s making good plastic they just have the funnest names they do have some fun names a little awkward footing no problem though you’re back to even par only way to follow up a double is two birdies right talking to myself it’s time to get

Things rolling forget the past hard to forget that Cory makes every putt he’s also back to even on the round after that three putt looks like Levi is going to get himself on the board what what’ you get in the meat pie today get the mint and cheese I’m just

Going classic mints and cheese I don’t even mess with the ketchup either an important part of getting a pdj membership is helping grow the game membership dollars are used to bolster competition of all all levels from local C tiers to Majors tools like digital scorecard and tournament manager help

Gap most people are going with the straight putter oh just smooth finally find the pace on this shot think shout out to idio for being that presenting sponsor of the tour down under Levis flippy takao oh yeah I think Cory liked this Play From Yesterday I than is flippy yeah trying

To leak it out left there get himself an open putt not mess with the Heiser stand up just look at the touch on this kid beautiful I think that’s a Zone it’s just butter he’s got that thing worked in nicely good looking stroke yeah starting to get things

Going oh yeah looking at a birdie frame right here now we’re rolling things were a little weird there for a second on the cart yeah everybody wants to win Levi and we we know we’re all up there at the top Levi said he’s been on the road for 6 weeks

That’s a good stretch for a 17-year-old pretty solid lot of golf it’s kind of a shame that he’s heading off to college next year he’s he lives down in inic cargo he’s heading to denen for college I’m trying to convince him to just take a year maybe two off and hit the States

You know go to Europe better talk plis about that mom’s not going to like that idea no they don’t they don’t like that idea whole seven over the Gully trying to go straight at it just need a little more flip but get a good reaction off that tree Leave myself with

A makeable putt so you switched things up you went with the the blue AVR yesterday you’re going with I went magenta I tried that Hiser the first round and then yeah just just a different flippy KC Pro looking for some different energy Cory’s had this one pretty dialed 100%

Little Inside Out flip up then he just check up oh good tree save though I was talking to Simon he he had this one Simon fezy he had this one dialed up as well and he said he he flew it last round and had a full driver shot

Into the green he went so far and I love this Wicked play he’s throwing a soul like yeah that’s incredibly loving his bag and he’s I don’t know he’s really I love the way he shapes that shot with the forehand I’ve been playing with Luke a lot and he throws some funky forehand

Lines MH yeah so so’s one of the guys that reminds me of germ and the way that he can throw an extremely flippy disc and get it to fly straight and and gently Roll To the Left wow lot of touch oh yeah that’s three in a row back

On track I mean three in a row okay but did you see where he was at was it 55 down the hill that’s an incredible Putt and just like that he’s back in it little poppy just got to give it a little more purpose drive it down into the

Basket just got big puted by Cory I couldn’t even see him down the hill how much do you feel like the big putt actually gets into the mind of a professional I don’t know depends on the player huh I play professional disc golf but I don’t know I don’t know if I

Consider myself a professional well you you you personally I don’t think it gets in too much in your head but I think some players it really can get in there their head a little bit a player cans a 70 footer in front of their 40f footer

As a fan of disc off I love seeing some big putts yeah so go bring them Hond the hole eight short par 4 downhill we’ve seen a couple Eagles on the weekend who can do it today it’s game time oh he’s just wrapping around this

Buzz and he held on to it just a hair too long getting a triple kick though back into a decent position yeah get out of line on this hole and you’re fighting some trees on your way back to the basket just early with the 11 time and

You’re streak of Eagles at risk right now Paul I’m going to have to do some Nate Perkins Magic hard angle out of Levi’s hand shooting it left oh finally no no he finally adjusted that hurricane and he gets one of the invisa branches Flex forehand that was uh tree

Kick Double Tree kick straight from the cadd that is straight from the caddy he said throw a flex forehand I’m like uh that’s not really my game but that’s all I had shout out to Robert for carrying my boy’s bag out there and for doing all

That my boy Richard my bad Richard for doing all that cour work too man he was carrying the baskets and Richard pier and and to all the volunteers out there this is a popup course it’s a miracle that we’re even playing at the filming location of Lord

Of the Rings it’s pretty surreal so after he hits this tree I want to I got to just say I haven’t seen Levi play like this the entire time I’ve been down here well the body language dominating yeah I’ve never I haven’t seen the apathy set in in the shoulders like that before

Sully finding that drop off behind the basket going to have some work to do that’s what I’ve learned about Cory he just maintains intensity MH yeah he’s hungry out I’ve been impressed at how hungry he has stayed down here in New Zealand oh yeah he I overheard him talking to his wife Molly

He’s like we’re here to play disc golf absolutely they’re enjoying themselves yeah they’ve done some rock hounding we had a great Rock hounding trip but this boy is here to play some golf and he is showing out strong putt he really did catch the Rock hounting Bug though didn’t he he

Did we’ve been looking for these rocks guys uh New Zealand’s pretty famous for the nefrite Jade but they’ve also got this other Stone they call AA it’s a mixture of cenite and fuchsite in a quartz Matrix and it is a beautiful blue stone and there’s only one river in the

World where you can find it we went and found some this year shout out to Luke for kind of you know spreading Rock love to the dis golf world we miss you buddy we do miss you Luke all right hole 65 M shortest hole on the course little tricky here you can’t see

This basket there’s kind of three gaps a lot of back game players are going on the right Gap this really a speed control hole easy to go deep here speed and angle I feel like you can get away with just throwing like a flat disc that’s going to Heiser but if you work

It just a little bit more and get it to stall you’re going to get the stop that you’re looking for see Cory’s got a little height on this got the Hiser and he drifted off further left than I thought he was going to gets himself in a little bushy situation

It oh card was asking for it yeah I think I think we all looking for some fireworks at this point but like I said it’s it’s a pace and angle control love this forehand play out of Sullivan he does it first round too where he just tickles that little Branch

As he’s cring that Hill it’s a little more of a ground reaction than he wants buta please we’re all on the Dance Floor you prefer playing this beach forest or out there in the open with the expansive views I love both honestly I’m a huge huge fan of trees plants

Flowers no wind yeah less wind but those expansive views of the mountain peaks and the Glaciers are pretty epic as well I get absolutely lost from Sully we have a bit of rain coming too on this back n a lot less than I thought we were going to have but yeah it started

Spitting on us today and with a little bit of wind it was oh yeah chilly good Pace today man that that might have gone in with no chains you think so yeah was dropping in there I feel like I’m just willing them in at this point hey what

Pro would win a tournament with no chains um got the best chance of I know somebody that did Kisa won a gallon of maple syrup and Vermont no change no change when he had that pitch butt yeah did it have a pole just a basket yeah they just took the change that I

Believe right that’s a wrap on that front nine thanks so much for joining us here on GK Pro taking a look at the scores here not the hottest look on this front nine we started off a little slow but we still have a solid battle for you guys on the

Back like we said we have a bit of rain and the wind is absolutely ripping once again Paul and we’d like to thank the PDGA for helping GK Pro get down here to film this tour down under and give New Zealand the exposure that it needs absolutely we

Fully believe in in an offseason tour down here in New Zealand where it’s just prime time for the game we’d also like to thank vortica disc off for being the presenting sponsor of the paradise plates and Paul I just want to say I love you man thank you finish up this front nine

This is our last round in New Zealand before we head home very special that it is sad that the Trip’s coming to a close GK Pro is heading out tomorrow man these guys busted it out make sure to show them some love guys and we will see you Soon Yeah

  1. 10:26 Man thats a huge statement and something to remember. When things arent going your way, just remember where youre at and what youre doing. A double bogey in Fangorn Forest may mean double bogey to some, but for the right mindset, theyre just trekkin' around in Fangorn Forest. I needed to hear that today, Paul. Excellent question from the Perks to illicit that response ❤

  2. What happened to the bench on Hole 6? It was there in the way for everyone's drive and seemed to disappear when they were putting…

  3. Tall Paul Spittin fire, Nate asked how do you stay composed after a double bogey" Paul – "I gotta remind myself where im at, and im doing what i want to do, theres alot of holes left" for some reason that really hit home, great advice Sensei Paul

  4. GK Pro is killing it this offseason! Love the courses, the commentary, the music, all of it. Great work!

  5. I was going to compliment Nate on the good commentary during the second round but this round he’s back to the same old Nate. Non stop questions and talking about everything but what the players are doing of which it seems he’s clueless. Such as that amazing put by Corey which Paul had to cut him off and point it out. Nate you don’t have to talk every second. Love Paul’s commentary tho.
