Live versus PGA Tour to give you guys some context I have I’ve been following the sport since 2020 so lockdown started and I really got into golf both playing and watching and I do I will say and make it very very clear that I do watch
The PGA product I do not watch live tour and um it’s nothing related to anything political I know a lot of people are like that and they can live their life how they want to um my thing is is honestly a lot of the roster in my opinion I think they’re and I’m
Not going to watch a tour where I don’t even I can’t stand most of the golfers on that went to live I’m glad they’re gone the fact that I don’t have to see Bryson dambo or Patrick Reed ever again basically it’s a I love it I love that
Fact that I don’t have to watch them uh can stand those two golfers especially um but um yeah it’s just one of those things I I I can’t watch Liv tour but um it’s it’s ironic that and I was happy for the players that went to
You know live tour I was happy for you know Dustin Johnson uh for example I was happy that he got his bag Phil Michelson hey man you he was the Pioneer he was the first one to jump on board that was a big name and he really you know Phils
A polarizing guy but um he really stuck his neck out and it he got rewarded financially I’m not going to I’m not going to hate them for that but some of these guys it’s they they just every chance they can speak to the media instead of growing their own tour that
Is obviously struggling when it comes to inperson attendance like every time I see a live Tour event it it’s just dead atmosphere yeah you have the party holes but from what I see and it’s on social media and you would think that’s the highlights of it you would want to put
Out good like the best of what you have to offer on social media and it just it just looks tacky it’s team golf it’s just not my cup of tea but it’s just it it’s kind of sad to see that some of these golfers are miserable and you
Can’t tell me otherwise like what what made Taylor gu come and talk about Roy marcroy and I get it these golfers I I have no I I I’ve lost a lot of respect uh for Greg Norman it appears and it’s sad because I believe golfers went over there to
Better themselves financially but they also thought they weren’t going to give up everything when it comes to all their accom you know potential accomplishments down the road and the what the reason why I’m saying that is it it appears that these golfers were were misled they
Were told they were going to get world ranking points and it hasn’t happened yet and we’re in our we’re in the third season or second season of Liv still hasn’t happened doesn’t look like it’s going to happen and um you know like waim Neiman I I I remember hearing that
He gives a substantial amount of of his salary to Charities believe his brother’s dealing was medical things I I don’t blame him for going to live hey take the money these you know take the money I don’t blame you but you got and and he goes on
And says he had an amazing round amazing tournament at uh live Mexico this season and yeah he should be at the Masters but then you have people like Taylor G that I’m sorry he’s not even good enough to win on the live tour or do anything substantial over there and yet
He thinks he’s entitled to an invitation and Neiman did get an invitation because obviously he’s great and we’re just speaking strictly about the Masters here he the Masters the people that run the Masters want the best golfers on the field that’s it there’s no agendas that’s the only agenda they want the
Best golfers to play at Augusta that’s it and Taylor gu you ain’t him you’re not him so I don’t know where where the you haven’t done anything in the major tournament even when you were with the PJ tour so I don’t know why this
Guy’s talking out of his ass and yes I should have sent this a lot earlier I am a huge Rory fan but I think it’s just he looks pathetic even if he was even if he was talking about Colin morawa right or or he was let’s say he’s
Talking about Jordan spe who I’m neutral about talking about you know if he doesn’t win sorry if he doesn’t if he wins the grand he completes the Grand Slam by winning the PGA Championship oh well I’m not there and a lot of these Liv guys aren’t in the PJ Championship
So it’s you know it’s not really an accomplishment I would still call him a dick and that’s what he is he’s just being a he’s pissed off because he got misled by Greg Norman and I no one gives a like I don’t feel sorry for this
Guy and it’s just stupid man it it’s crazy and I was so happy when the when Liv and PJ had the agreement I get it people were in their stances oh them Saudi money this this and that and that I get it a lot of things were said
But and to be fair to be fair I kind of of course I would like golfers to play where they but it gets compliment it gets complicated because these players that went to live they got a fuckload of money and what are you going to tell the
PJ tour players right but um I kind of like the fact that it really elevates the majors it really does because the majors is when we’re going to see really the lived players and the PJ tour players compete at not only not only for the major honors but on the best courses
And to be honest I the courses I see on live tour they just they’re they’re tourists they’re vacation spots you know it’s it’s the Trump resorts in in Jersey in Florida it’s they’re not historical there there’s nothing there’s no Heritage I get it’s a startup league but it’s just it just G
It’s I just feel like they’re playing at Resorts and it’s just not doesn’t interest me but yeah let let’s see the uh oh I was saying but now so I don’t really like I I respect some a lot of the live guys some of them not so much
Especially Mr G here but um I think it really elevates the majors even more because hey you for four times a year you’re gonna see tiger versus Phil or you’re gonna see Dustin Johnson against Rory maroy like these are top level guys and I have respect for all of them the
Real top level not you know top level guy that Taylor gu thinks he is but um that’s enough on gu let’s let’s read the article why we’re here um so Taylor G says Rory maroy winning the Masters in completing the career Grand Slam would need an asterisk
You gota be kidding me I’ve seen it all guys I’ve seen it all uh yeah Taylor G frustrated see I told you he was frustrated stupid that he will be unable to follow up his t-34 at last year’s Masters like this guy t34 you kid me it’s not
Even a top 10 not even a top 20 and this guy’s pissed that he didn’t get an invite well maybe if you got a top 10 you get automatic invite but you obviously aren’t good enough um despite being ranked number 40 in the data golf rankings SC is
449 in the official world golf rankings I wonder why because he got lied to by Greg Norman just like everyone else but you you know there there’s a case to be had but I don’t see these live golfers you know really Neiman was the only one that kind
Of like let it slip that hey we kind of got lied to but I don’t see any of these live golfers kind of calling their own boss out it just what are they going to do release you from your contract and guess what you can just go back to the PGA tour
Or you can go play in the DP World Tour get your ranking points and you go play in the majors just like you wanted I just don’t get it with these guys it’s just sometimes I don’t think they think but G who played in last two masters sounded off to Golf Digest Australia
About the world ranking situation which he and other Le players find themselves the O W uh gr has rejected their application for points which puts them in a difficult spot when it comes to the major championships most of which include W uh ranking points as a pathway to their championships in in expressing
His frustration gu singled out Roy michy and I get it Roy has a huge Target on his back what he said before about Liv tour um he didn’t make friends he might have he probably lost a lot of friends to be honest but I I think this is way too far
But let’s let’s see what his quote was it says if Roy maroy goes and completes his career grand slam without some of the best players in the world they’re just gonna there’s just going to be an Asis it’s just the reality I think everyone wins whenever the majors
Whenever the majors figured out a way to get the best players in the world there gu is not is not one to tiptoe around golf issues two years ago he said live Portland was not a whole whole whole hell of a lot different than playing the
Wrer cup well see look I saw I remember seeing Port G Portland that was also just like a tournament I saw that one when it was on YouTube but you saying stupid like this no different than Ryder Cup and President’s Cup you know he he these
These these guys on live the ones I can’t stand they act like oh well there’s no difference like we’re happy here like look at these golf courses were playing on and then when you tell them hey you’re not getting world ranking points you’re not playing in the majors oh well this and that
It’s just like I thought you were chilling over there I thought these were just equivalent tournaments like I don’t I don’t understand why you’re all frustrated over here but like I said I think I think it’s obvious we’re dealing with a clown here um that has no respect
Honestly interestingly one of gu Liv colleagues was recently extending an invite to Masters as waim nean was invited last week after his win at Mya COA as we all know um his live success was not cited in the invitation instead his play on the DP World Tour including a win at the
Australian Open in December was noted it is not unusual for augustae National to invite international players who have not qualified through the PGA Tour or the world ranking points gu has played 11 Majors throughout his career he’s never finished in the top 12 of any of them
Look look at that top you can’t even finish top 12 like and you you’re you’re one of the best players give me a break yes we all know yes maoy is going for his his Grand Slam has seven top 10 in his last 10 starts at
Augusta it it was crazy what was it it was it last year’s Augusta I don’t did he get I I feel like he got cut yeah I think it Roy maoy is something else I still remember had to be the 2022 or 2021 tournament he hits his father with
A drive shot that wasn’t great I think he got cut from that that one was a weird one because even good guy even good players like Kea got cut but I think it was a bunch of that was more injury issues with him but um and then
He has the year I think it was 202 now I’m getting these years mixed up guys I’m sorry uh I remember he he missed the cut and then I remember seeing him in San Antonio I think it might have been 2022 yeah I think it was 2022 yeah 2022
He played in San Antonio I went to go see him at the Valera open and then next week he finished second I remember that chip shot on 18 last hole that was crazy but it was cheffers to win obviously no one’s going to hate on him for that but
Yeah for him to say there’s an asterisk like you know Chris Brown’s not someone to look up to but he may have had a point when he said why are you hating from outside the club if you can’t even get in you know I I think I think this
Is a perfect perfect example of that it’s just um I I don’t I don’t get it I I get Rory mckoy’s easy to hate on and I usually when people talk about Roy I’m not the one that says hey you need to stop that Roy my Roy’s My Guy Look Rory’s
Grown he can take criticism and he put himself out there he became Mr PJ tour he became he was the head of the Players Board or whatever that board was called that he was on he put himself front and center all this but it doesn’t give you
The excuse a good enough excuse if you are a underperforming live golf player that hasn’t done has done all in the major championships in his career hasn’t even got in the top 12 and you want to speak out of your ass you can speak out of your ass but I’m going to
Call you out on it and everyone else is everyone’s clowning him you think you think Augusta or any of these these major tournaments are going to want to invite gu he he’s just proving himself to be an ass and what if you put your neck out invite this guy and he plays
Like like he always does it’s a waste of an invite could have been given to someone else that was worthy but I could talk about this for a long time but I I should wrap it up now but I do want to say I uh I’m doing golf content
On this channel I’ve really been enjoying it I did some videos covering the Riviera tournament the Genesis Invitational that was a lot fun a lot of fun I know there’s I think the next tournament is the form known as the Honda Classic but it’s the cognizant
Classic I know Roy’s playing it I’m not too sure how much coverage I’m going to give that but the following week we’re in Bay Hill we’re in arie’s place and then a week after we’re playing at tpca grass so those two tournaments definitely will have some coverage on
