Got a lot to cover today um obviously we got to cover the winners from last week had Jake knpp taking it down on the PGA were at vidanta Mexico open uh Zane what did you watch this tournament at all what’ you think watch a little bit of
The highlights I didn’t watch uh the tournament to be honest with you um mainly because I felt exactly the same as a lot of the people on Twitter which and we’ll talk about that later but you know um I just didn’t it didn’t appeal
To me um a lot of the names and again I hate to be the guy that says big names drawing eyes but it’s true I mean it just is um so and again I wish it was more I wish mer I again I’m not saying that it’s not meritocracy um because
Those big names got big names for for a reason but I will say you know it’s it really is difficult watching guys that you don’t know a lot of guys that you don’t know again you had Eric Van Ruan on the list on the leaderboard and I I
Did watch a few shots here and there but I didn’t put in the same level of effort that I did in weeks prior I mean what about you did you get to watch the the I did I watched uh I I watched a little bit of the Saturday round um what really
Impressed me was I really like jnap swing it’s a we talked about it yesterday yeah um the tempo of that man’s swing is really really good very uh it kind of reminds me of like looks like he’s swinging easy but hitting the ball a mile that kind of
Thing yeah um and it reminds remed me the tempo the tempo not the swing the tempo reminded me of like that Freddy couple style like it looks so easy but he’s murdering the ball yeah let’s you mind if we play it real quick for everybody yeah you can play it
Absolutely let me go ahead and present it keep talking I’m sorry so um I really enjoyed uh watching him play and then uh so this week I started implementing some of the concepts of his swing I don’t take it as far back as he does but some of the concepts of uh his
Swing with the tempo and the lag that he creates with that Tempo allows him to swing easy but create more speed through contact I used that on the course today shot an even par 36 so I was pretty happy on punched greens that’s really good yeah so awesome oh well so real
Quick um I’ll I’ll while you while you pull that up I’ll go ahead and play it and and I’ll just say one of the things that I noticed with this swing is it’s just super like like you said super super smooth you’ll notice that it’s really only the driver swing sorry I get
Long it’s really only the driver swing that’s long you see right there on the wedge another wedge the tempo is to die for I mean that I mean that’s like ideal Tempo you know everybody always talks about Freddy Couples personally speaking that looks smoother than Freddy it does
Especially with how much speed he creates because he’s hitting the ball a lot further than Freddy coup’s ever did yeah yeah exactly and swing a lot faster than couples ever did as well and we actually uh I mean Zach you remember what we talked about is the reason that
Is so we can share it with with the audience yeah so so basically what he’s doing is he’s using the levers in his body to their Highest Potential and the lever that he’s using a lot is the lever of the wrist so as you watch him swing
As he starts his downswing how the club stays in its place for like a half second the club doesn’t move but his body will and he creates a lot of lag that way it’s uh similar it’s less of a violent turn than Sergio Garcia but the amount of lag he’s creating in that
Downswing is what’s able to create so much speed through the Impact Zone well I think I personally I’m gonna have to disagree with you a little bit yeah he does have that little pause at the top um but it’s not really because he’s firing the hips and rotating super
Quickly it’s actually because if you see here let me see if I can pause it on the downswing here hold on so on the down there’s a perfect example so like I know we don’t have a face on view I wish we did but you’ll notice he goes from
Cocked to whipping it like really quickly on the down swing so even though it looks and appears really slow where that speed is being produced unlike Bryson who looks like he’s actually trying to be a serial killer murder Mur murdering people a murderer yeah literally like a freaking chopping wood
As fat as hard as he can yeah where at but that’s because he doesn’t have very much lag you know so he has to get that speed somewhere else yeah what what he employs here is more of that catapult method yeah so he’s getting that cat that that club firing those wrists just
Releasing really late but really quickly yeah and so that’s that’s what’s causing that speed so whenever anybody’s talking about adding speed into their swing you don’t have to look what are you laughing at I’m laughing because you said I’m going to disagree with you a little bit
And then and then basically reward what I said no because you said that that you just leave the club there it’s like it’s not not really he does a little but it’s not his body moving it’s his hands it’s his hands starting down and the club
Stays there so it creates this you can’t see it creates this yeah okay well I’ll give you that I’ll give you that okay I miss must have misunderstood a little bit of what you’re saying yeah no it’s not he doesn’t start his body first yeah his hands go first but everybody’s body
Starts first what okay yeah fair but when his hands start down it’s it’s here and then it’s yeah and that’s where you get that pause feeling right yeah it’s where you get that pause feeling that’s why it looks so smooth in the transition but what I was referring to the reason
He’s able to be is smooth looking as or slowl looking as it is is because he does hold that lag very very long and that’s how he gets that Whip In Motion that’s how he’s able to get still get that speed um that that you’re looking
To produce yeah even though it looks so buttery I mean let’s watch this a little bit more I mean it just look at that yeah by the way this is uh on the driver swing I know he takes it a lot further back on the driver but on the driver
Swing that’s he’s creating 190 miles hour ball speed my God that’s next level yeah I mean that’s and for for comparison two average is 170 yeah so I mean this guy crushes the ball and that’s his Tempo so if you feel like you’re swinging hard you may be doing it
Wrong yeah well you definitely are doing it wrong for the majority of golfers out there you’re definitely doing it wrong yeah but uh yeah I saw that swing and I I I texted Zayn about it yesterday about uh how much I love the tempo and and everything MH because he doesn’t look
Like a guy that’s getting 190 but he is yeah and did you hear about his uh did you hear him talk about his tattoo like the reason he was playing yeah I did yeah that was pretty you know pretty pretty great um it’s pretty great when you see a guy
Like that I mean obviously Wills outour had had uh you know something happened to him him last week and he was looking to to win or put up some good numbers in order to play for his I believe it was his sister was it his sister and uh and
That was real sad um but it’s it’s really good to see a guy win with a purpose you know what I mean so so yeah I mean what do you have to say about it uh I was I thought it was really impressive get his first win on tour oh
I mean I know it wasn’t a full field there which is a little disappointing but at the same time 29 years old I mean he’s been grinding and out on tour for a while yeah and to get your first win at the Mexico open which hosts such winners
As John ROM Dustin Johnson you know big names in the golfing world I mean that’s a pretty big deal so well and nap if anybody doesn’t know what we’re referring to it was his grandfather who passed away last year and so him and his I guess his cousin decided to get matching tatto
Tatos um in honor of him in honor to honor him um and this is what he said he said I wanted it to show this is a quote wanted it to show I know that it’s like that I know that that’s like an area I wanted to save just because I know it’s

Duty with uh the other assistant that I work with and another one of the guys that work in the Pro Shop who was a a nationally ranked college golf at one point um did not know that uh and uh he was like Hey the the guy that works in
The protos shop he goes hey did you guys uh you guys been watching the match and I was like what the match what are you talking about and I was like oh yeah it’s this thing with Lexi Thompson and Rory and Max and uh gosh what’s his name he’s funny Max
Max yeah uh so I was like yeah no I didn’t watch it I didn’t even know it was happening and I think that’s something you want to talk about was the lack of marketing for this thing well yeah I mean so let me say this real quick if
It’s gonna be something like the match right which we all Zach I mean everybody remembers the first one what was the first one I believe it was Phil and Payton versus tiger and Tom no no no no no no that oh no it was Phil versus
Tiger that’s what it wasil tiger and you know it was it was interesting the problem was is there was a lot of dead space there was a lot of dead air you know and that was the hard part that’s what you’re gonna get that with any exhibition with golf unless there’s you
Know carps and the problem was is they were walking yeah they were they were still walking which just didn’t make any sense yeah and on top of that uh well it makes sense in a way because people get to follow if you’re walking but you know if you’re driving a cart people ain’t
Going to be able to follow you as fast enough fast enough to do it um but the I mean the coolest part about that was is just the amount of skill level and talent in that grouping right well in the in the history too I mean and tiger
You have tiger top of the sport forever yeah you have tiger best ever you have Phil uh long time well for the longest time he was the last amater to win a PGA Tour event um yeah but obviously that’s been broken now um but I mean it was
History and history you know the Le and tiger going both guys have won multiple major championships yes and so that was kind of the deal uh then they started getting into these weird and again I don’t know who sits in on these boardroom meetings and thinks certain certain things are a good
Idea my my best friend you know him Logan Allen loves the Chiefs yeah he didn’t watch Patrick Mahomes play freaking Josh Allen no yeah so with so I think with the match I think the first one was okay because it was Phil and tiger it was
Okay it was a lot of dead air like you say but it was okay because it was Phil and it was Tiger it was the first time they did something like that it’s gonna be it’s gonna have issues and then the second one I thought was good I thought
Pton I did to Payton and Phil and tiger Brady was good television interesting they got Charles Barkley right they got Charles Barkley they got good announcers go on yeah but it was ultimately the announcers were icing on an already pretty good cake yeah you know what I mean that’s all that’s what
They are supposed to be by yeah so with the second one I I liked that one and then they had the what was it it was it the next one was like Bryson and Brooks right no no no it was uh bra it was still
Brady no it was it was Aon yeah it was Brady and Bryson against Phil and um Aaron Rogers y yeah so that one you lose a little bit of star power you don’t have Tiger Woods there anymore um but it still was okay it wasn’t as good as the second one I
Think it was on par with the first one in terms of entertainment value agreed um but it was it was still like okay it’s not tiger and it’s not you know I mean I mean Rogers and Manning never had or Rogers and Brady never had a rivalry
Like pton and Brady did I mean that was the Rivalry in the AFC forever that’s facts yeah you’re you’re right there you’re right there they played in different conferences their entire career I until Brady’s last two years I don’t think that’s the reason it wasn’t the
Same I think it is because Rogers was still in that time but he played in the NFC they NE he never played Brady and he never played Manning hardly ever no I just don’t think that’s the reason I don’t I don’t think that’s I think it’s

Entertaining during it yeah um yeah I think it’s the same product if you have tiger in there I think it was just Bryson and so again I’m not saying Bryson doesn’t draw eyes but he’s sure his crap don’t draw eyes like Phil or tiger yeah that’s fair that’s 100% so
That’s that’s what I think it was that’s what I think it boed down to and then and then was was it Bryson and Brooks then it was Bryson and Brooks I believe yeah but that one was bad that was not the pregame the pregame was good they
Did a good job hyping it up but the entertainment value was bad because it was like 13 holes or something 12 holes it was 12 holes it was just brutal they tried to play up this hype like they hate each other um which again the heel you know having a
Heel I get it it does draw eyes I think they were actually planning on it for a long time I think that’s why you had all the back and forth between I think a little bit they didn’t like each other I think there was a little bit of that but
I think I think I think they made deals behind the scenes where it’s like hey you guys don’t like each other let’s turn this up to the Max and then do this this Capital One the match you know yeah that’s what I think happened but I think the 12 holes heard
It I think the 12 holes heard it 12 holes heard it 100% 100% And the fact there weren’t other personalities playing yeah if it were two other I’ll give you an example ready if it were Bryson and Brooks and tiger and Phil we’ve got a different product
That’s a way better product or not even those guys it doesn’t even have to be uh Legends because they are they’re living legends it could have been it could have been Bryson and Brooks versus Justin and Jordan yeah that would have been good too that would have been excellent cuz
Justin and Jordan are both entertaining to watch they’re entertaining golfers they’ve got personalities and so do Bryson and Brooks yeah that would have been entertaining and and you could have filled up all the dead air yeah having those having those four guys on there yeah the issue I had with this match and
Again like I said only got to watch highlights because like we were talking about the marketing wasn’t there to to get me to watch something unless it’s the majors right which are hyped up anyway right everybody’s hyping up the majors they get lot of free publicity
Not just the publicity that they use for marketing yeah if it’s a major championship or a big tournament like I’m gonna watch the Honda Classic because it’s the Honda Classic it’s the floorida swing if it’s not that though if it’s the match with rose Jen who else was it
Lexi thomp thp Ma and Rory Mary you better L you better lambas me with some with some uh advertising Give Me A Reason give me a reason to watch Give Me A Reason do a pressor beforehand like blast that out over Twitter yeah make it like make it
Like BR and this is what Brooks and Bryson did well they did that they did that like back and forth presser where they were just taking Jabs at each other kind of like before a UFC title match yeah and you know that that would have been more entertaining but what they did
Was is they kind of just said um you know this is gonna certain people are going to tune in yeah I mean so we kind of skipped over it but like the problem with the one before this one which was the momes and Allen one was oh yeah that
Was awful no one wants to watch people play Bad Golf yes that it’s exactly right unless unless and there’s a big big massive massive asterisk okay unless it’s like a YouTube video where it’s like 45 minutes long or 30 minutes long because like I’ll admit I indulge myself in watching Bob the sports
Okay Bob might be one of the worst golfers ever watched and Joey Co Cut’s same thing but you wouldn’t here’s the here’s the big I would want to watch them play live golf yes that’s exactly my point exactly what the ENT those have cuts it cuts back and
Forth from scene to scene they have edit it’s edited down to make it to where there’s not cold air you have to hear an announcer talking for five minutes before the next shot is hit that’s the difference yeah so like with when I watch Boba Sports It’s funny because
They’re funny first personalities and there’s no dead air that’s why I watch them yeah okay it’s funny because I get to see them hit their bad shots in succession and have watch them have a meltdown yep or be self-deprecating zaye knows I love self-deprecating humor
Um why’d you do that you that’s a fact you just I don’t know why you’re making those faces I just love making faces dude come on Zane people I’ve making them all night like that but like that’s the reason I watch those guys is because even though they’re
Playing bad golf it’s entertaining in that aspect because it’s Quick Cuts or they’re doing challenges where they try and drink a Guinness a hole for 18 holes I haven’t seen like that was wild um with Rick Shields that was fun that was a fun watch
Um uh I still think I could beat fat Perez oneon-one uh the challeng is out there he probably won’t accept he’s terrified but uh he’s playing a PG qualifier at Myrtle Beach or he just doesn’t well let’s put an asteris next to that let’s put an asteris next to that
It is a YouTube qualifier that is the oh my God it is the stupidest thing just the public the publicity stunt behind that you got Dan raport playing in it it’s not just YouTube Stars Dan Rapaport is not a YouTube Star what
Well come on Z he does he is in a lot of the foreplay videos and they do a lot of stuff on YouTube he’s not a YouTube star that’s not what he it’s not what he started as I would agree he is very popular on YouTube

See because I’ll tell you this right now and how many people are qualifying uh I believe it’s it’s a 16 man qualifier okay so you have 16 people out there playing off 16 people out there playing golf okay how many people are gonna make it into this one you only
Have one person making it the low finisher will get a spot in the tournament which is an opposite field event being held the same week as the well so the real publicity let this is let’s just be real about this the real publicity is the qualifier not the
Actual tournament then okay because if you have that person make the tournament do you bring in a minutia of of other people coming in to watch yeah yeah you’ll have like you’ll have like 5% of the viewership T tune in you have 5% wait this is an event it’s an opposite
Field event because it’s one of their premium events going on at the same time the Wells Fargo is happening the same weekend as the myle Beach Classic oh so this this is the elevated versus non-elevated yeah that’s even worse that’s even worse that’s better
