Hi – I’m Gregor Heinrich. Welcome to my “Golf & Tesla” channel.
his YouTube channel is designed to give you an overview of golf courses I have played on, course VLOGs, occasional equipment reviews or a few drone images from travel destinations (most of my travel related videos are now at https://www.youtube.com/@gregorscapades).
As to “Tesla”: you can also see some reports on my Tesla, and Supercharger stations I come across.
For both the golf courses as well as the Supercharger reviews I often use a DJI Mavic drone.
So if you are neither a fan of golf nor of Tesla, you can still enjoy the playlist “drone footage” on my channel or go directly to https://www.youtube.com/@gregorscapades.

Why should they come and play here? Well why should they come and play here: well, it’s a good course, but you need a few balls really. Because, yes, because there’s a lot of water here.
And you have to be accurate off the tee and … / Well hello. Here we are one day later at this 9-hole golf course which is said to be the best one in Thailand. At least it has a a lot
Of water. Let’s see how it goes. It is quite a warm day, so I will wear my cap. I must say, the price here is very reasonable. Well, I hope these nine holes will give you an impression of this golf
Course. I’ll film the one or other hole and I hope you enjoy it. Tf you like it please press the “like”-button or, if you haven’t done so yet, it would be nice if you could subscribe to the channel.
Caddies here, as you may have noticed, are all ladies. Mine is Om. Let’s see how it The clubs that are rented look quite good. The irons are Mizuno and the woods are Taylor Made. Since hole one is a bit crowded, we’re starting off with the third hole. A par-4.
Apparently water towards the end, we’ll see. At night the course is floodlit. And right behind the Green is again water if I had gone too far. Now we’re right quite close to the airport and really walking distance from the old town. The fourth hole starts over water.
The other player is Hubert, a Thai. This a nice, rounded green. Looks tricky. For those who don’t make it over the water, here’s the drop area, which gives you some safety. The green is sloping down downwards towards me. But apart from this bunker to the left,
There is no other hazard. I went too far. I hit a hybrid and that was one club too much. Yes, I was too far in the bushes, the second shot here in the bunker and then unfortunately it rolled over..
The sixth hole, a par-5. And as you can see, there is is water all along the right side of the fairway. But there’s enough space to hit the ball I think. As you get closer to the green, the fairway narrows, and you have this water bit here. So luckily I’m not that long,
I am still on grass. The green back there: slightly elevated with bunkers right and left. Hello … A halfway house and toilets. The seventh hole quite straight, but again at the end water. For someone like me who is not a long hitter, the
Best option is to lay up towards the left and play it safe. Again a tricky green. Not very big, undulated. If you hit out of that bunker (which I luckily did not) and go too far, then you are in the water.
Now the eighth hole, quite a tricky par-3. Because if you hit too far right, you go into the water. And then, unless you lay up and you really know your lengths, it’s quite likely that you land in some of these big bunkers in front of the green.
Even though we’re really in the middle of the city and you see houses right to the left, these big trees hide the view quite a bit from the houses just around the corner. That group of players in front of us are Koreans. My ball in the bunker.
The bunkers are quite steep here. My ball rolled down and that of Hubert as well. The ninth hole, a par-5. And again water is going to be your friend or your enemy. The water was not my friend. Here the fairway narrows quite a bit. I wanted to
Keep right, but I didn’t see that the water actually comes over here, bends over. So that is where I am, in the water. So here the first hole. I don’t see any black tees here.
Here are the blue tees, there the white, and the reds a lot farther. And there’s water to start off with. So slicers might be happy. But there is a bunker right there for the slicers. Since we started with the third hole, we’re doing holes one and
Two now. But it’s now later in the afternoon and it’s getting quite crowded. As you can see. These are people waiting. Here on the first we had a five-some in front of us. So that is normal apparently here during the more busy hours, that they have
Five-some which results in some waiting time sometimes. So those are the challenges from the first tee. It is fairly wide. There is water to the right but not really a dangerous distance. And there’s a bunker to the left, but there is water just to the right of the green.
The second hole is not extremely long but has a narrow strip here at the beginning, and water here to the right. Long hitters are of course tempted to hit right over over the water and onto the fairway back there. Tthis green was just sanded.
Again nice and round. The last hole for us. Yeah that was a nice round of golf. Quite warm but not too hot. It was uh quite tolerable. I walked those nine holes. That was really not a problem. It is an interesting course. It is really quite
Varied. You have to be quite precise. The water is not just decoration but it’s really part of the golf course. And it lets you think and lose balls. I lost two today. Two balls on a 9-hole round
Is not that great. But as I said before, this is just a few hundred meters away from the city wall of the “Old Town”. Really quite amazing. So depending on where your hotel is located, you
Can actually walk here. It is really smack in the middle of central Chang Mai. You don’t need to hire a car or a a minivan and go 20 or 30 or 40 km outside of the city in order to find a good golf course.
Hello – Hello. Well I just heard you speak English, so hope you don’t mind if I budge in. No problem. Have you played here? We have. Oh really? Yes. And what can you tell
Someone who hasn’t played here before, why should they come and play here? Well, why should they come and play here: Well, it’s it’s a good course, but you need a few balls. Really? Because,
Yes, because there’s a lot of water here. And you have to be accurate off the tee uh and towards the green. Otherwise if your ball goes in the water. There’s water on every hole, left and right
Sometimes. Really? Or out of bounds. So it’s not an easy course, but it’s a nice course. The caddies are nice. You have a cart to ride, you can walk if you want to.
You have the buggy and you get around. And today it was was quite quite quick. It was only 4 hours which is not bad for Thai standards. Good. This time of year is the peak
Season, so there’s a lot of lot of foreigners, a lot of Korean people here. Do you live here? I I live here for six months. Ah that’s good. So in the European winter. And you, the same thing?
I’m just here on holiday for a few weeks. Ah good. Do you play other courses also here in the region? I play five times a week. Oh.. Yes. And you like this? Because this this is a nine hole course and
Some people say I will not go and play on a nine hole. It is a 9-hole course, and that’s right, people do say I don’t want to play here, but the price is reasonable. But of
Course this course is in in Chiang Mai. It is just right downtown. So it’s very easy to get here, very quick. So we finish our game, this also is a nice restaurant to eat. And we eat and drink
And then we go home. Well thank you very much. Have nice other games as well. Yes thank you. And you. Bye bye So thanks for watching and uh hope to see you again on this channel. Bye bye.
