All right I got it talking to you yeah uh nice round today 500 um just kind of take us through how it went um bit of an up and down front nine um obviously started on the back and quite frustrated I think coming off
18 you know making bogy on on 15 17 and then making par and 18 and um just had a chat with my caddy and I was like dude I’m feeling so frustrated like I feel like my game’s in great shape and not the greatest of nines and he said dude
Relax like it’s nine holes and just come play nine holes with me you know like we normally do so and I think we got off to a nice little hot start there on the back and happy with 5 under how do you assess the conditions guys came through
The early wave said they didn’t maybe even hit wind until like the 15th pole you had it a little bit more sustained but how are the how how was it out there um I’ve definitely seen this course play harder before um um greens are still a bit receptive obviously that normally
Changes as the weekend goes on so um but look it’s for me I think it’s one of the hardest courses we play all year and um I think it’s going to show its teeth the rest of the weekend what did that result in Mexico obviously the win do for you
Just I mean at that point kind of right on the top 125 bubble you’ve obviously got your card locked up for a full year played a lot better since then as well um what did that week do for you as a whole in your game um or did it do anything much yeah
Maybe not too much in my game I think I think so I started working with Foley in July of last year and um since then things have started ticking over nicely and so I think the win was sort of at the cherry on top but I think personally
It maybe freed Me Up Just slightly uh I was in a different mental space going into that week I mean you’re trying to hang on to your card here on tour you know so now now I’ve got a two exemption so that changes things a bit but
Honestly put putting that aside um it’s just hard work and working on the right stuff and let let let the results come sort of by themselves uh I know the bear trap is a tough stretch of holes but five six and seven seems to also play pretty tough
Could you just speak to how that played today yeah um it’s funny you mention that cuz I said the exact same thing to fely um um both nines have sort of pockets where I don’t want to say the course lets up cuz it really doesn’t but
You can make one or two birdies and then there’s a few that are just brutal right um five six and seven definitely and um I mean seven is just an absolute brute six like you hit the green and you’re happy right and five I know I
Made birdie there today made like a 20 footer but like like anyway on the green is and you walk over with four you smiling so um if you can get through those couple holes like you said sort of six of them um if you can get through
Those hopefully level P you’re you’re in good shape and if the wind picks up tomorrow how’s that going to affect that stretch of PS yeah it’ll be hard I haven’t I haven’t seen the forecast it kind of turned today almost went Northeast which is weird for here
Usually comes out of the southeast but um so I don’t know what it’ll do tomorrow I know the boys this morning you know there was almost no wind so um looks like they might be a bit more for us tomorrow morning but I mean this course is just hard so kind of plunk
