Only single turn might be the best score of the Heat so far that was impressive just on rail so much speed coming down the line from that bigger um wave that he took off on that was impressive early Pro Sunset Beach Jordy Smith taking off at 7 fin number one for the man

Slower paced wave um that’s what’s probably going to keep his score a little bit on the low side as you see right here the waves a little flatter but he’s um riding it beautifully and right here to finish that’s where all the scor is going to come from just

Accelerating pressuring that back foot and really projecting that turn very nicely um you can see how much speed I’m obviously not here with slow-mo but you can see how much speed he got from that turn as he was pushing through those fins and that was a beautiful turn and

Yeah nice start there for um Jordy Cano igarashi his challenge in semi-final number one large wave facing from igarashi he’s got to make up some line down the line gets a slash in there right at the Finish air drops into it one turn but what a dynamic turn for Kano gashi

Projected all the way down the line loaded up for that single maneuver that was incredible start for K this is the wave for kogarashi his opener Jesse Yeah the difference right here is just intensity of um The Wave the wave had so much speed down the line

And he was flying right there just laying it down every everything he had every inch of that board and that rail was used to um in order to make that turn as you see right here he’s mock speed and laying it down a huge layback seveno ride yeah engaging

Everything he possibly could using all his weight to muscle through that section and air dropping it out coming out pretty clean I mean he deserved that score can do it with one turn and that is exactly what Kano gashi did advantage to kanoa but um kanoa also got a wave

Hands on the back and just twisting G gaming gaining all that energy that you can generate from your top part of the body and that was a beautiful turn from him see right here backhand supporting and now bringing it all the way around getting all the momentum that he

Generated and you held through that moment and that was beautiful turn for him looking money out here at Sunset here’s Jordy on the replay pretty similar like kind of turns um Jordy a little bit more cut short because he had a second section coming ahead of him but

That’s money right there see how it’s like when he’s able to match the power to the wave and the wave has more steepness that’s the type of maneuver Jord is going to do and that was a massive layback for Jordy and right here redirecting cutting it short that second

Bottom turn so he was able to actually get in time for the close out lip line turn and you see it scores are going to be rewarded even for those one big turns and if he landed that that would have been very critical see right here the

Lips Just landing on top of him and it’s just a nightmare for you to come out of that a slight Advantage right now with kanoa igarashi he does have heat control he got the lead and priority Jordy Smith needs a seven-point ride we know that

Jord is able to put up those kind of digits on a regular basis here at sunset here we go with Keno activating and snapping off the top there guiding his board all the way around one more time tight AR there on the second turn looks for more Punchy

Potential at the end of this beautiful wave for Canoa starting off with a nice tight Carvin right here he really opens up gets that extra pump on the bottom turn holds that rail for a long time and finish it off strong I don’t think he went 100% right there tapers off Smith

Behind him Jordy gets axed as he sets up for a bottom turn that’s a bummer for Jordy because that wave is peeling down the line right there it was a beautiful wave unfortunately got lipped well welcome back to the hurly pro Sensa Beach that’s take a look at the um Heat Recap should take another look at that wave yeah I you see right here just kind of once again like a wave that’s not giv him much of an opportunity in order to really lay it down but beautiful surfing overall just wasn’t able to find that section in the heat they bring out the

Surfing for for Jordy right there I think as far as this is the best combination of turns we had so far in this heat back to back beautiful turns for him bringing it all all the way around as you see it right there compressing in the end really putting an

Exclamation point Jordy taking a look at this wave here under the priority of Keno gashi he’s going to get away from him here we go Jordy Smith long bottom turn short radius top turn dropping right back into the critical section but that’s all he’s going to
